Actually I cannot say that, but only because I never developed a taste for coffee. That said, I'm suggesting that my coffee-drinking friends seriously consider eschewing Starbucks. Its CEO Howard Schultz poo-pooed a suggestion by an investor that the conglomerate's support of sodomy is hurting the business. While he acknowledged that their numbers weren't up to snuff, Schultz indicated that he didn't care; Starbucks would continue to support perversion.
I'll say this much for Schultz; he can't be accused of "double-speak". BUT, if he doesn't care about receiving our money and our business, then we might as well take it elsewhere. There's no need for us to waste our money there, as a portion of it will undoubtedly be used to undermine our core principles. While I'm sure the coffee is decent, I also understand it's overpriced. Get your coffee elsewhere and at a more reasonable price. Then donate the difference to National Organization for Marriage. As I said, I wish I could say I'm boycotting Starbucks but I never bought there anyway.
Alternative idea! Consider coffee from Mystic Monks!
So in your opinion, support for diversity and equal rights is "support for sodomy and perversion?"
ReplyDeleteA world of tolerance of other people's beliefs and way of life is a world of love and understanding. What would Jesus think of you and your hatred of those who don't believe what you believe?
By the way, this is coming from a married heterosexual male. Your intolerance of people who have a different walk of life is deplorable and shameful. This is just one reason why the Republican party (and conservative movement as a whole) is losing so much support and just can't seem to figure out why...
For the record, more people agree with Starbucks' stance than those who disagree. Think about that for awhile as your bigotry and hatred continue to deter support for your cause.
To answer your first question, yes. Actually, it's not just my "opinion" but clearly stated in God's word. If you don't understand and accept God's word as ministered through His church, what you call "love and understanding" is at best a sentimental sham. Not all "walks of life" are equal in God's eyes. He loves all people equally, but doesn't love what the people do equally. Would you regard the radical Muslim who regularly beats his wife as merely having a "different walk of life"? Some things are inherently right and some are inherently evil. Same-sex relations are part of the latter.
DeleteAs to whether more people today agree with the Starbucks stance or not, I don't know. It's really quite irrelevant at the end of the day for truth is not defined by consensus but by Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life (note the definite articles "the").
I wonder why Starbucks doesn't stand up for fornication and adultery too while they're at it.
ReplyDeleteI have never been a fan of a co that calls itself "star" & "bucks" to appeal to the tolerant people of love and understanding out there not the greedy, selfish, want-to-be-a- star and have-a-lot-of-bucks idolators who actually go there to "treat" themselves (because their selfish life of greed is so hard) to some $10 cup of made-just-for-me, sugar, whip cream & caffeine status symbol.
