As The Elections Draw Near, Never-Trump Trads Need A Verbal Spanking

As I write this, the Democrats have announced that Kamala Harris will be Joe Biden's running mate.  I would expect that Plugs himself was rather shocked at the news, but I don't want to explore that tangent just yet.  Suffice it to say that if (God forbid!) the Dems manage to cheat their way to victory, the most pro-abortion duo will ascend to power.  Given Biden's obvious mental issues, Harris will be less than a heartbeat from the presidency.

Yet even in the face of this looming disaster, there are still some who call themselves "traditional Catholics" who are announcing, perhaps virtue-signaling would be the more appropriate verb, that they will write in some obscure person or not vote at all in November 2020.  They have more disparaging things to say about Trump (who actually has made some solid pro-life accomplishments) than they do for the Dems, who are unabashedly pro-abortion.  I can only characterize their attitudes towards Trump to be so overly persnickety and finicky as to border on effeminacy.  They are more concerned about satisfying the unreasonable demands of their emotions (what they call conscience) as opposed to an actual rigorous examination of the matter in the light of Tradition.  I've taken a stab at so doing.  Rather than reinvent the wheel, I'll link to two such posts of mine, here and here.  The comments in those posts illustrate some salient points as well.

Father Pavone of Priests for Life published a list of Trump's pro-life accomplishments - not promises but accomplishments.  In contrast, Biden, while Obama's vice president, assisted him in all his pro-abortion endeavors.  For her part, Harris is equally pro-abortion and has made no secret of her anti-Catholic prejudices.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you have some "never-Trump" people in your circles, please speak directly with them.  On this upcoming election depends western civilization, millions of lives and yes, souls.

  1. For the most part, I don't believe it will work. There is something horribly wrong with our fellow Americans, even the ones we love so dearly. I am in my middle years, and I have never seen the level of hatred toward a political opponent as there is against Trump. I have seen it time and time again over the last 3 years, getting worse all the time. In my family, people I have met. The response to his name elicits pure hatred and unbelievable behavior. I was in a car shop waiting for my brakes to be fixed. Too older men were in the shop waiting. The TV was as usual on a liberal station, and Trump was mentioned. The younger man said something neutral about him, the two older men, well to do men in probably their 70's, got upset and a look of just hatred came over them as they railed. I've seen it other times as well, perfectly nice relatives or people get crazy when Trump is mentioned. My own son hung up on me a few days ago, and if you think I insulted him or said something politically aggressive, think again, I merely got tired of listening to diatribes and mentioned that perhaps Trump said the election might be corrupted because after hearing about Russia for years, he had reason to believe the election would be corrupted.
Well, click. And I have always had a good relationship with my son. I'm sure this is being repeated all over this land, but parents shouldn't compromise their belief system. If you've got kids or loved ones who are nutty kookoo about Trump, hate him and maybe even you for supporting him, just don't talk about it. You can't talk with people who are under some influence, and I'm afraid of what the influence is. Pray for your loved ones, pray that God open their eyes, and for our nation, and for our president. You really can't argue or debate people into voting for Trump. This is easily the most important election in our history. I cannot believe there is even one Catholic who will vote for the pro-abort Harris/Biden, but our bishops are Democrats, so, why not. It's a crazy world.

  2. No Catholic could ever vote for Biden and Harris, without damning then see to he'll.
