What Have We Catholics So Carelessly Discarded?

What you are about to witness is a Solemn High Mass from Easter Sunday, 1940.  Note the gravity, the solemn reverence given to God Most High.  This form of Mass, once common, is now what is known as the Extraordinary Form of Mass.  If you have never been to such a Mass, I highly recommend it.

  1. If you live in the Baltimore area, I would highly recommend going to Mass at St. Alphonsus in Baltimore. I started attending the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) here after the lock downs ended and love it. If you are, like me, a lifetime Novus Ordo Mass attendee, it takes a little time to adjust, but the reverence and beauty make it well worth it. Taylor Marshall's YouTube channel has some good videos for TLM newbies. Finally if you are concerned about the safety of Baltimore, the area around the church is not bad. At daily Mass, I regularly see a young mother with her baby in attendance. On Sunday's they have a security officer at all the Masses, which IMO all parishes should have wherever they are located.
