This audio was recorded in 2002, when the Illinois version of the Born Alive Protection Act was being debated. Listen to then-state-Senator Obama, during debate, argue against the act, insinuating that a newborn is a "fetus outside the womb" (Forgive his stuttering and stumbling; apparently teleprompters weren't allowed in the senate chambers during debates).
