Evil People Prop Up Evil Leaders

That is the main theme of a commentary I read about last night's election fiasco.  I've heard that thought expressed in another way: "In a democracy, the people elect the leaders they deserve".  There are those who voted for Obama because they wanted free healthcare/cellphone/education/etc.  Of course, nothing is free; someone has to pay for it.  Wanna know who that "someone" is?  Go look in the mirror.  But as Lady Margaret Thatcher said, "the trouble with socialism is that you will run out of other people's money to spend".  But those indifferent and even disobedient to God will lack the wisdom and foresight to understand basic common sense, let alone economics.  The fallout will hit them as much as anyone else.

The commentary mentions Michael Voris.  See below for his take on the elections.  He lays much blame at the feet for the bishops and their abysmal dereliction of duty to stand up for the truth.  He's correct.  Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

  1. "1960' 'modernist experiment of these last 50 years" Can't you see that Michael Voris is telling us that we need to turn our backs on "Vatican II" and restore the Catholic faith of our fathers and mothers. He is right: The sooner we put this "Council" behind us the strongwer we will be as a Church and as a nation.

    1. No. The modernists have been hiding behind the "spirit of Vatican II", not the Council itself. Be careful. Satan does want us to leave the Church; and he doesn't particularly care if we leave "stage left" or "stage right".

    2. Agreed, many of the symptoms of modernism were in the Church long before Vatican II ever started, it just took Vatican 2 + social discontinuity to bring these things out in the front. The one thing Vatican II did do was bring out those Bishops that were modernist and against Holy Mother Church to the forefront. But the letter of the council hasn't been applied and will take generations before it's applied.

  2. Catholic blogs like yours need to begin to spread the word about the Right of the Child and Right of the Sea Treaties. Obama is intent on signing both in his second term. Mary Jo Anderson wrote an article about the former for Catholic Culture that can be found on Google. It takes all rights legally away from parents.

    1. It is incumbent upon the GOP in the Senate to stand up to these via filibuster if necessary. The Senate must ratify any treaty before it binds, and these must be stopped there.

  3. No, Michael Voris makes it very clear that it is the council itself with its changes in the liturgy which he critiques eloquently and with the 'false ecumenism." I have been to hear Michael talk a half dozen times and he says that the Council has been a disaster. He is more careful when he does his videos because he is already in enough trouble but terms like "false ecumenism" mean this surrender to all that is Catholic that the Council stands for.
