This past Sunday, September 30, I attended the ActsFive29 rally in Lafayette Park. I took a good deal of video, so much so that I have to break this post into two parts. I will intersperse clips with narrative, so..
When I arrived shortly after noon, Father Frank Pavone had just started the Rosary. He began it, then rally attendees took turns leading decades. There was quite a variety, including small children. Several of the decades were led in Spanish. Click here if you can't see embedded video.
Rev Patrick Mahoney, the "emcee" of the event, offered this prayer. Click here if you can't see embedded video.
Brandi Swindell was slated to speak, and I suppose her main topic was on her trip to Red China during the Olympic games held there. However, she had an additional incident to report: that of her encounter with Kathleen Sebelius a few hours earlier at a church service. Click here if you can't see embedded video.
Rev Mahoney then exhorted all not to remain silent. He quoted from Martin Luther King that those who remain silent are no different than those who perpetuate evil. Indeed, I recall from catechism that one of the ways in which we might cooperate with mortal sin is complicity by silence. Click here if you can't see embedded video.
This report will be continued in the following post.

What I thought of as I watched these videos is the contrastin betwween this crowd and the crowds (mobs) at OWS and at the Capital in WIsconsin last year with the communists and union members heading them.
