Raymond Arroyo interviewed Cardinal Wuerl a few days ago. Arroyo asked very straight-forward questions but did not receive replies in kind. He put forth a herculean effort, but to no avail. In the face of the verbal tap-dance from the Cardinal, Arroyo exercised much patience. Please watch and you'll understand why the sin-nod will continue to undermine the faith of millions.

Smoooooth operator. They think they will fill the pews which means $$$ for the chancery by changing practice. Here's my question for Pope Francis and Cardinal Wuerl, "What is the Gospel?" And if they give a social justice type of answer, well I don't need the Catholic Church for that.
ReplyDelete"And The Gobblygoop Continues..." The title is perfect. I can't listen to Cardinal Wuerl anymore. MANY, MANY, MANY Catholics can live up to the teachings of the Gospel when it comes to "DEADLY SIN"!

ReplyDeleteIt kind of made me believe at times that I was watching "Raymond arroyo interviews Charlie Brown's teacher". Just less informative.
ReplyDeleteRaymond should have said "Get behind me satan".
ReplyDeleteComplete opposite of letting your "yes" mean "yes" and your "no" mean "no".
ReplyDeleteSomehow it seems to me that the most appropriate gospel passage applicable to "accompanying" the divorced and re-married to reconciliation with Jesus in the
ReplyDeleteChurch He founded is the account of the conversation of Jesus with the Woman at the well in the Gospel of John. After a brief conversation upon their first encounter Jesus tells her that she has had 5 husbands and that the man she is now with is not her husband. She has a conversion of heart and goes to tell the townspeople about Jesus who "has told her everything she has ever done "and asks, "could this Man be the Messiah?". Although the woman had violated the Jewish law re marriage, she understood her sinfulness. So if modern day priestly representatives of the Messiah want to be recognized as such it seems they need to examine a person's life and tell them how they they are in opposition to Jesus' s requirements re marriage in the New Law that He gave us. Since the modern day priest is not himself the Messiah, he will usually need to obtain the help of a marriage tribunal in order to determine whether that man with whom the modern divorcee is living is actually her husband or not. It seems that this needs to be done as a part of determining whether or not the woman may receive Communion.
