Bishop Paprocki Rebukes His Treacherous Brother Bishops And Their Slavish Devotion To Labor Unions

In their June 27th decision regarding Janus vs AFSCME, the US Supreme Court stated that public sector employees cannot be forced to pay union dues when these unions support political positions with which they don't agree.  It seems very simple; the average worker should not be subject to extortion by labor unions in exchange for their jobs.  After all - the worker has his/her rights of association, speech, religion, etc, correct?

One would think that the Church would uphold that right - but a few days later, the USCCB bewailed that ruling.  "Why", you may ask.  The USCCB revealed how they operate.  They get a fair amount of $$$ from these unions.  If the unions cannot extort it from unwilling workers, well, that means less $$$ for the USCCB.  Let's not forget how much the USCCB is in the pockets of their sugar-daddy puppet-string holders.

Bishop Thomas Paprocki remains (so far) the only voice of sanity who reminds his money-grubbing brother bishops of what Rerun Novarum had to say of the legitimate role of labor unions.  Too many of them support abortion, sodomy and a whole host of anti-God positions.

John Sweeney, Labor Boss
One of my first forays into activism against the rot in the Church occurred in 2002, when some of us protested the Catholic Charities gala in the Dupont Circle area of Washington DC.  Why?  Because Cardinal McCarrick (heard about him a lot these days) was the co-chairman of the gala along with his buddy, John Sweeney, then head of AFL-CIO.  At the time, AFL-CIO was pushing for labor agreements that would provide for contraceptives, and their web page linked directly to that of NOW.  Moreover, we all know of the insidious SEIU; enough has been written on this blog.

When the USCCB goes so far as to issue such releases, they only show what lemmings they are for progressive money bags.  I cannot say they undermine their own credibility, for they long since forfeited the last shreds of credibility they once had.

  1. Shades of Bishop Bruskewitz! But he was ostracized by the "hapless bunch" of other bishops...

  2. The USCCB and these modernist bishops need to be starved (to death).

God be with Bishop Paprocki. Let's all pray fervently for him, and maybe send him a dollar or two!

  4. My God in heaven, they aren't even shy about it anymore. The facts are in, long in, these Bishops are political animals who totally support the Democrat platform. To imagine Roman Catholic bishops supporting abortion, sodomy, open borders, it's unbelievable, or should be. These are incredible days, what else are we going to see. It leaves Catholics unsure what to do, those who are still holding on and attending Mass. Are we supposed to still give money in the offertory? Hold out? I mean, we have long stopped giving money to special collections and never Bishop's Appeal, Catholic Charities, etc., but how far to take this? Believe me, we don't want to give one dime to this fake church, and have all but stopped, but we do attend a diocesan Latin Mass, do we stop supporting it entirely and let it just end? We have ZERO leadership today, there may be a few faithful bishops and God bless them, but no one is providing leadership to the rank and file Catholic. It's just horrible, I don't know how these Bishops and Cardinals sleep at night. Hold a press conference, call out these sodomites and apostates, warn the faithful they are anathema, and give the faithful some solace and direction.
Jesus, please awake in the barque and send us at least one faithful leader.

    2. Well, I donate to Unbound and to the Norbertine Canonesses of California, and to the Dominican Sisters of Summit NJ. The good sisters are expanding their monasteries, due to increasing vocations. I consider that this fulfills my obligation.

      YMMV.

  5. The coverage of the Scandal of the Four Priests in Montana and the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh has revealed, tangentially, that clerical coddling of pro-aborts in preaching, and delivery to them of the Blessed Sacrament, are standard procedure. Read these stories, and see how the McCarrick-Wuerl position on Communion-for-pro-aborts is taken for granted. Only about ten American bishops dissent from the McCarrick-Wuerl position on giving Communion to pro-aborts.

    1. Fr. VF. We need a Pope who will clean house and restore Catholic doctrine and discipline even if this means 50% of Catholics leave the Church. The Church must have its integrity and credibility restored which it no long possesses. The significant erosion of Catholic faith since Vatican II is astonishing.

  6. The USCCB is Democrat Party front organization with politics first on it's agenda. No good Catholic should fund it. The entire idea of a Council of Bishops is a bad idea and should be disbanded immediately. It only encourages political motivations and invitations to bribes. Bishops should run their own dioceses and not be beholden to a socialist collective which the USCCB has become.
