The Church DOES Have A Position On Gays In The Military!

Last month Cardinal Wuerl stated in a television interview that the Church has "no position" on gays in the military.  I commented on it here, and included a link to the interview itself.

It seems that there may have been some mistake!  As today's episode of the Vortex pointed out, the Vatican did issue some rather clear statements regarding that very issue (and others, such as gay adoption, etc).  The 1992 Vatican statement to which Voris refers can be found on the Vatican's website here.  Please read it carefully and see how many misstatements regarding Church teaching about homosexuality are refuted and set aright.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Wuerl: No Position On Gays In Military

According to Donald Cardinal Wuerl, the Church "has no position" on whether gays and lesbians should be allowed to serve openly in the military.  You can watch the Fox News interview here.

What??!?!?!  If the Church can have a "position" on nonsense such as the DREAM act (and thank the Good Lord that it fizzled), how on earth could it not have a position on that question?  Mind you, the question is about whether or not gays should be allowed to serve openly, that is to flout their mortally-sinful lifestyles.  And the Church supposedly has no position on that?

Cardinal Wuerl's "hands-off" attitude was not shared by Archbishop Timothy Broglio of the Archdiocese for the Military Service.  This past June, he urged Congress not to repeal the DADT policy.  He stated quite clearly - and correctly - that "Sacrificing the moral beliefs of individuals" in response to "merely political considerations is neither just nor prudent especially for the armed forces at a time of war."  Of course he and his chaplains are only dreading the human wreckage that they'll have to clean up now that perversion can be openly practiced and foisted upon our soldiers. 

Pray for our bishops that they all will stand firm in the face of evil.  Too many aren't.

Ron Paul Voted To Repeal DADT????

Apparently so, according to a columnist named Devvy who wrote, "The Queering of Our Military and God's Wrath".  I suggest you read it, and please don't wince at the strong language, for it only depicts reality without any "polite" spin.  She lays it right on the line, especially as she rebukes our politically-(in)correct, "kinder and gentler" churches so enamored of their 501c3 statuses.  God will not be mocked.

Getting back to Ron Paul, the Washington Post interviewed him in May.  Here is his statement.  Now Paul has run for President from time to time.  If anyone needed clear-cut proof that this man is not a conservative, now you have it.  Understand that the President of the United States is the Commander-In-Chief of the US military services.  Such an ill-begotten "laissez-faire" attitude towards military service and the requirements for an effective fighting force only render him utterly unfit to assume that command.

DADT And DREAM Acts Highlight USCCB's Warped Priorities

I too was disappointed by the USCCB's almost-rabid panting for the passage of the DREAM Act - while hearing next to nothing about opposing DADT.  Of course the USCCB, like good little socialists lemmings, were just following the promptings of their progressive friends and puppet-string-holders.

Eight Republicans Who Need To Be Defeated

According to this Politico report, eight Republicans, call them RINOs, voted to repeal the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" (DADT) policy in our military, greatly opening up the likelihood that both morality and morale will be severely undermined.  Quoting from Politico, "The Republican senators voting “yes” with the Democrats on repeal were Richard Burr of North Carolina, Mark Kirk of Illinois, John Ensign of Nevada, Scott Brown of Massachusetts, George Voinovich of Ohio, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska – and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both of Maine"

The votes of Snowe and Collins are no surprise, and I suppose neither is Scott Brown's.  But John Ensign?   Et tu, Brute? Every Tea Party activist in the states of these RINO's should make it their mission to take these people out during the next elections when they're up.
