Maryland School Officials Cower Before A Muslim Student Making Bomb Threats

At Chesapeake Middle School in Pasadena, MD (Anne Arundel County), a muslim student made a bomb threat.  Now remember; this is the state of Maryland where any hint of threat is taken very, very seriously!  Prior examples of their unceasing vigilance include:

• Giving a two-day suspension to a seven-year-old after he bit his pop-tart into the shape of a gun - in Baltimore
• In Calvert County, when a five-year-old brought a cap gun to school, he was subjected to a two-hour interrogation.  His parents were not notified.  He was suspended for the rest of the year.
• In Montgomery County, another six-year-old was suspended after he pointed his finger at another child and said "pow".
• In Talbot County, two other six-year-olds were suspended for the "high crime and misdemeanor" of playing cops and robbers
• In Owings Maryland (Calvert County) an eleven-year-old was overheard on the school bus talking about guns.  That conversation occasioned a questioning by a sheriff's deputy who then wanted to search his family home.

Now one might think that if the state of Maryland is so scrupulous as to hammer little boys who even talk about weapons, that they might be even more concerned about an older boy talking of bombs.  Nope!  Read that first article again!  They are sitting on their hands, not raising their voices, doing absolutely nothing!  Why?  Because the "bomb-threat" kid is muslim!  They are a protected class of individuals per the politically-correct, progressive cabal.  The Maryland school officials can bully five-year-olds but they behave like spineless wimps in the face of a muslim adolescent.

When the Maryland elections next roll around, we need to vote out the whole lot of them.  In the meantime, if little boys want to play "cops and robbers", I'd suggest they voice the phrase "allahu akbar" when the grouses come to hound them.  If that muslim phrase is difficult for them to pronounce, perhaps they can substitute the phrase "hello snackbar"; that should get the point across and send the school officials running with tails between legs.

MD Public Schools Accommodating Sharia Law

Parkdale High School in Riverdale, MD (that's Prince George's County) is allowing qualified students to leave class for eight minutes daily to pray.  These students all happen to be members of the Muslim Students' Association.  About ten are participating and more want to do so, but some teachers are balking at the idea.

Would this same school allow Christian students a similar break so that they can read their bibles somewhere?  Why do I think that's a ridiculous question?  Will these Muslims have their own room in which to pray (I believe they like to face east when praying)?  Would that mean this school is favoring Islam above other religions?  Of course - but Islam falls within politically correct, progressive standards.  They'll get a free pass that other faiths won't receive.

In Montgomery County, all the school board incumbents were elected.  Did PG County suffer the same fate?  We really must issue some pink slips next time.

Common Core Inflicted Among Maryland High School Students

I've written a bit about Common Core in the past; read here for some background.   It has come to my attention that Common Core has indeed reared its ugly head here in Montgomery County MD.  Since this area is such a bastion of liberal drones, this comes as no surprise.  What does raise the eyebrows a bit is the audacity with which Common Core devotees bombard students with their brainwashing.

A "case in point" was published in the Freedom Outpost.  It reveals the contents of a Common-Core derived survey foisted upon sophomores at Poolesville High School in Montgomery County MD.  Please read that article in its entirety for therein is the complete survey presented to these kids.  It asks them to divulge highly personal information such as the demographics of their family, family income, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, various political convictions, etc.  Pardon my French, but none of that is any damned business of school officials.

More distressing yet is the emergence of Common Core in Maryland Catholic Schools.  The Sept-Oct issue of the Defend Life newsletter has a four-page article; on the link go to page 6 and read on.  It's clear that the Archdiocese of Baltimore's education office has allowed itself to become "useful dupes" of the Common Core progressives.  While the author was unable to ascertain the stance of the Archdiocese of Washington, I think it reasonable (in light of their lack of response to the reporter) to assume that it too has swallowed the proverbial kook-aid.  Our children aren't safe even there.

In 2014 we will have the chance to replace a goodly number of these officials.  All state-wide and lower-level seats are up for grabs.  Many of the local school boards are too.  Some minds and voices of sanity would be a welcome relief.  Let's work for that.

Nitwits Of Maryland Education Strike Again

I believe the count for Maryland alone is now six: that is, six kids who were (I'll use the word) bullied by public school and law enforcement officials because they dared to refer to guns.  This latest from Owings involved a boy who was merely talking about guns. Again this happened on a bus.  The 11-year-old was questioned by a Sheriff's deputy, who wanted to search the family home - without a search warrant, of course!

The WMAL article is here.  I don't always agree with the ACLU on various topics, but I must commend them for taking a stand against this overreach of authority and abject silliness on the part of school administrators, bus drivers, etc.

Maryland Public Schools Terrorize Yet Another Play-Gun-Toting Youngster

The nitwits and progressives who run Maryland's public schools have just suspended their fifth child for toy-gun-related playfulness.  The Washington Post reports that this latest act of school-official-instigated nonsense occurred in Calvert County.  A five-year-old child showed another the cap gun.  The driver overhead it and that's when all hell broke loose.  Over-reaction is too kind a word for the behavior of those darlings of the NEA.

Ladies and gentlemen, if bringing a toy gun to school is against policy, fine.  Confiscate the gun for the day and let the little guy go about his school day.  But why, oh why, was a two-hour interrogation of a five-year old necessary?  Why did they not contact his parents immediately?  His parents have retained an attorney.

The little guy has been suspended for the rest of the year (unless intelligence makes a come-back very soon).  I have a better idea.  Instead of suspending the little boy, let's suspend the principal and the other school officials who seem to think that hysterical behavior is a necessary qualification for the brainwashing of children.

Another Maryland School Suspension Over Gun Paranoia

Many Maryland public school teachers (and most of their bosses) suffer from PCIAS Syndrome.  "PCIAS" stands for "Political-Correctness-Induced-Asinine-Stupidity".  The latest outbreak of this social disease manifested itself at Park Elementary School in Baltimore last week.

A 7-year old second grader was eating a strawberry tart.  He decided to shape it into a mountain but it didn't turn out the way he planned.  Instead it resembled a gun.  His PCIAS-afflicted teacher became "visibly mad" (from Fox News) and gave into the symptoms of his/her disorder.  The poor little guy was suspended for two days for "using food to make an inappropriate gesture".

Maryland citizens, we have elections coming in 2014.  We need to clear the local boards of education of the fools that are turning our tax-funded schools into loony-bins.  One rule-of-thumb: vote against the "apple ballots"!
