As I posted last week, a radical muslim imam is going to be delivering an address, at St Rose of Lima, on "Islam: A Religion of Peace or of Terrorism?" If you haven't yet done so, please examine the links for the pertinent information about this man and his mosque. Take special note of the laudatory comments he made regarding the Hamas operative at his mosque who was caught video-recording the supporting structures of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge - strange sort of hobby, wouldn't you say? Take note that the Fort Hood shooter attended his mosque.
He also made the incredible statement that "you will see Islam move from being the second largest religion in America-that's where we are now- to being the first religion in America". Did he suffer any repercussion? Not at all! In fact, on June 20th, a very naive parish and archdiocesan chancery are actually providing a forum and an audience so that he can lull good people into a rose-colored-glasses type of passivity regarding Islam. That's quite unlike the violent rampaging that occurred in the name of jihad when Pastor Terry Jones stated his intention to burn a Qu'ran.
Speaking of Pastor Jones, he staged a protest at an Arab International Festival in Dearborn Michigan this past Friday. Here's the local report, along with video. Notice the reaction. These "festival goers" aren't merely shouting at him. They're actually shoving him, prompting the police to arrest at least some of them. Of course there's the obligatory silent blaming of the "inflamatory language", but the reporters also state that they recognize some of the thugs as being too familiar, as though they may be "professional".
As I said in the previous post, the pastors of St Rose of Lima and the Archdiocese of Washington chancery should be ashamed of themselves for behaving as willing dupes.

The Temper Tantrums Continue
The deadly and despicable Islamic temper tantrums continue. In Kashmir they have burnt several Christian schools. This is ostensibly in response to the burning of a few quran copies. As I read this article, I saw no mention of "moderate" Islamic leaders denouncing those who engaged in the arson.
When Terry Jones first announced his plans, Christians were quick to denounce him. Why then, do we not see similar disavowals of the violence from Islamic leaders? And no, I shouldn't have to hunt far and wide all over the internet to find them; there should be press releases galore, broadcasts, etc.
To double the trauma, not only does the Islamic violence continue, but so do the incessant mea culpas from Christian congregations. CNN's Belief Blog reports that this past weekend, passages from the quran were read at the services of 20 different Christian congregations - including Catholic ones. I can only presume that these passages were read during Mass. Mass wasn't mentioned, but what other religous service would there be in a Catholic church over the weekend? The article doesn't make clear as to whether the quran was read in addition to the readings for Cycle C of the 24th week in Ordinary Time - or in lieu of those canonically-required passages from the Bible. Both constitute egregious insults to the Holy Mass.
Of course this article makes no mention of any passages from the Bible being read at Islamic mosque services. In fact, though, what we should expect is that the Islamic moderates will rebuild the schools in Kashmir to atone for the misdeeds of their more unruly brethren - but don't hold your breath waiting for that one.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to grow up and grow a back bone. It's time to insist upon some proportionality here. Islamic fundamentalists, for too long, have engaged in murderous rampages of riot and mayhem on the slightest pretext of insult. Very rarely, if ever, do the so-called "moderates" amongst them stand them down. If any call my obvervations "islamophobic" or some other politically-correct buzz word, you're living in laa-laa land. It's time to wake up and smell some coffee here.
For our part, too many of our wimpy leaders roll over and expose not only their own throats, but ours as well to these thugs. To the USCCB, to Cardinal McCarrick to the cathedral in Sacramento and to these Florida churches, please stop licking the boots of these terrorists.

Koran Burning - Off, But May Be Reinstated
Pastor Terry Jones of Gainesville FL had announced a cancellation of the planned Qu'ran burning on 9/11, believing that there was a deal with the ground zero mosque imam to relocate the mosque. Now, claiming he was "lied to", Jones may reinstate the burning.
During these past few weeks, many people were quite atwitter about the whole affair. The Messiah Most Miserable warned that Jones' planned actions would "endanger US troops".
Let's go back to May 2009, to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. A church sent some Bibles there. Since "proselitzing" was forbidden to US servicemen, the Army higher-ups took it upon themselves to confiscate and burn the Bibles. Do we recall anyone in the administration, or anywhere else for that matter, worrying about the ramifications of that draconian move? Neither do I.
One Pentagon official did recognize the insult. From the article: However military analyst and Pentagon adviser, Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis, criticized the move. "There is no need to burn the Bibles. They could have been shipped back," he said. "Just imagine if we, the same the United States military, were to take a bunch of Korans and burn them. I can imagine the ramifications across the world."
Boys and girls, can we all say "double-standard"?
