Heretical Filth On Website Of Archdiocese Of Baltimore

I recently came across a tome entitled "U.S. Jesuit Urges Catholics To Examine Attitudes Towards LGBT Community".  I don't have time to correct every error in this pig-slop, so I'll home in on just a few.  First, we examine these two paragraphs.  Here they are as originally presented:

He urged people to examine their own attitudes and ask themselves whether they believe someone “is sinful because she’s lesbian, or more inclined to sin than a straight woman? Do you hold the parents ‘responsible’ for a gay teen’s orientation? Do you think a person is transgender person only because it’s ‘fashionable’?” he challenged. 

One of his recommendations for Catholic parishes and communities is not to reduce gays and lesbians to the call to chastity.

I'll now reprint it with comments interspersed in red.

He urged people to examine their own attitudes and ask themselves whether they believe someone “is sinful because she’s lesbian, or more inclined to sin than a straight woman?  They certainly are more inclined to commit mortal sins of sexual perversions than would be straight people. Do you hold the parents ‘responsible’ for a gay teen’s orientation?  If the parents in any way applaud or facilitate their children's dalliances with that mortal sin, they certainly are.  Of course there are good parents who are most definitely heart-broken that their gay children are endangering their own immortal souls.   Do you think a person is transgender person only because it’s ‘fashionable’?” he challenged.  Irrelevant.  Anyone who flirts with "being transgender" is playing God with his/her own person.

One of his recommendations for Catholic parishes and communities is not to reduce gays and lesbians to the call to chastity.  The call to chastity is not a "reduction".  It is a command of God enjoined upon all persons.  Those with a homosexual orientation are not exempt from that call on account of that orientation.

Like I said, I just don't have the time to unpack that entire mess.  I will now point out the worst thing regarding that article.  Where was it published?  Was it published in "America"?  No!  How about Not-At-All Catholic Reporter?  Again, no.  It was published on the website of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  Furthermore, it is an article circulated by the Catholic News Service, the official news arm of the USCCB.  Over the past few days, Archbishop Lori et al have issued statements of regret regarding the PA grand jury report and McCarrick's ouster.  I replied to them, saying that we'll know if he's serious if he purges the gay rot from St Matthew's on Loch Raven Blvd and St Theresa's in Severn.  Now he needs to get it out of the Archdiocese's own website.  Lots of people need to be fired.

Two Very Different Family Conferences In Dublin In August

On August 22-24 in Dublin Ireland, the so-called "World Meeting of Families" will be conducted.  It's going to be based on Amoralis Lamentia.  Already it sounds like a hoot to be avoided, but it gets worse.  Among the presenters are: Cardinal O'Malley, Bishop Barron, Cardinal Cupich and Father James Martin.  Father Leo Patalinghug will be offering "recipes to strengthen family life".  Recipes?  I thought prayer and sacraments and fidelity to Tradition did that!  Whatever did families do for strength before Father Patalinghug was born?

You can put each of these names in the search box at the top left of this blog to understand why this debacle in Ireland will be a colossal waste of time and money, at best.

On the same dates and also in Dubin will occur the "Conference Of Catholic Families".  Judging from the roster of excellent speakers so far, this meeting promises to be faithful to the Tradition of the Church.  I'd recommend that.

During Pope's Visit, The Gay Agenda Is Shilled Ad Nauseum

At the papal Mass in Madison Square Garden yesterday, the individual chosen to be lector was Mo Rocca, a notorious gay media personality.  Vox Cantoris has pictures of this individual: both in his "native" element and at the Mass where he did manage to come properly dressed.  As he is a media personality Rocca's mortal sin could not have been unknown to the Mass organizers.  And who was the individual with final responsibility for the Mass?  The local bishop - Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

I've chronicled much about Dolan's many insults to the teachings of Jesus Christ, including those regarding sexuality.  Let me list a few, with links for review.

• He claimed to hope for "delicacy" while ignoring the attacks on faithful Christians.
• He was Grand Marshall in the most recent St Patrick's parade, even though they allowed a gay-rights group to march with them.  When Michael Voris questioned him about it at the parade, Dolan had Voris ejected from his presence.
• He allowed St Francis of Assisi parish to host a "pre-pride mass" before the gay orgy in the streets last summer.
• He earned the nickname "Cardinal Bravo" for that was his reaction when a college football start came out as gay.
• He refuses to confront NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, supposedly a Catholic, over his many public sins: support of abortion, support of the gay lifestyle and his public fornication with the First Concubine of New York.
• Several years ago, when Dolan was the main celebrant at St. Francis Xavier and the "gay ministry" was presented to him, he openly evinced approval of their gay-shilling activities.
• Of course he joined in the deafening silence of the nation's bishops regarding Kim Davis' plight last month.

Given this rather long list above, I believe it safe to assume that Dolan knew full well of Rocca's mortally sinful lifestyle well in advance of yesterday's Mass and approved his appearance anyway.

With the above in mind, consider some of the individuals who were placed in positions of authority at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, where the pope also put in an appearance.  Thanks to the work of the Lepanto Institute, we had learned that the president of World Meeting of Families has been a regular donor to pro-abortion political candidates.  Now we have learned, again thanks to Lepanto, that Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was named Honorary Co-Chair of the World Meeting of Families.  In his political career, he has promoted abortion and "LGBT rights".  Lepanto attempted several time to contact the Archdiocese of Philadelphia but they never responded.  It is reasonable to believe that all this was done with the approval of Archbishop Chaput.   Nutter announced that he intended to use this new bully-pulpit to promote the gay agenda and even to bring it to the pope if given the opportunity.  On Saturday, when he spoke before the pope at Independence Hall, Nutter did precisely that.

I'd venture a guess that Pope Francis had no knowledge of either of these atrocities.  The responsibility for these lays with both Cardinal Dolan and Archbishop Chaput.  Given that the pope is headed for the Ordinary Synod on the Family next week, I might opine that these two episodes are more of the #maturation effort.  After all there's only one more week for that.

From The Maturation Department - Scandal At The World Meeting Of Families

About 2.5 months ago, Lepanto Institute alerted us to the fact that a lesbian activist would be in a key role in deciding what entities would be allowed to set up exhibits at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia next month.  We also learned at about the same time that Philadelphia Archbishop Chaput said that "non-traditional families" would be welcomed at the meeting.  My blog post at that time gives more details.  At this time I have received no indication that these two matters have been rectified.  I must assume that they haven't.

Lepanto Institute has once again done stellar work in exposing a more significant scandal, one that centers around the president of the World Meeting of Families, Robert Ciaruffoli.  Over the years he has made contributions to various pro-abortion candidates for political office, including to the campaign of a former Planned Parenthood director.  See the above link for more details.

Now you might wonder about the "maturation department" reference in this post's title.  Recall that after last October's extraordinary sin-nod, Pope Francis said that we had a year to "mature" in preparation for this upcoming ordinary sin-nod.  Almost immediately a barrage of meetings, pronouncements, appointments and firings etc occurred, all with the theme of undermining the Church's teachings on family and life.  I firmly believe that the retention of the dissidents in the structure of the World Meeting of Families is part and parcel of this "maturation".

One of these "appointments" is Archbishop Blaise Cupich of Chicago.  He was dissident when he was Bishop of Spokane and then was appointed to Chicago by the Pope.  Last Sunday he was invested with the pallium at Mass.  He preached on the family at Mass, saying that "we must not settle for solutions that no longer work".  Given past history we can surmise his meaning.  Yes, that link is to the New Ways Ministry blog, and they in turn link to the entire homily.  It is a sad day for the Church when an organization that foments mortal sin waxes lyrical about the preaching of an errant bishop.  By the way, the pallium signifies unity with the pope.  Regrettably this union is real.

I suppose because the sin-nod is less than two months away, that all stops will be pulled in last-minute "maturation" measures.

More On The Gay Pandering At The World Meeting Of Families In Philadelphia

This past Friday I touched a bit on the expose done by Lepanto Institute regarding Teresa Matozzo, the lesbian who is the de facto "gate keeper" when it comes to decisions regarding exhibitors at the World Meeting of Families in September.   It seems that it raised the neck hackles on the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  Lepanto issued a clarification, although they had nothing to amend.  They did publish a statement issued by the Archdiocese, which could use its own clarification as it did not address the concerns broached by Lepanto.

With today's Vortex, maybe we have stumbled upon some, uhhh, "context" for the snit-fit that the Philadelphia archdiocese pitched at Lepanto.  I'll post it below, but will now state the highlights.   Archbishop Chaput, prelate of Philadelphia, was interviewed about the upcoming meeting.  During that interview, he said participants will find programming for all types of families, including "non-traditional families", meaning situations headed by gay/lesbian couples.  Well, maybe not just "couples"; could be "thruples" or a whole gang of them (perhaps with some animals thrown into the mix), but I digress.

I used the word "situations" deliberately, for they are not - repeat NOT - families!  A true family has as its base one man (with XY chromosomes) and one woman (with XX chromsomes) united by the Sacrament of Matrimony in a faithful and permanent union ordered to their sanctification and the generation and rearing of children.  It's a pity that one must spell it out.  I remember a time when people of common sense understood that; but common sense isn't so common anymore.

With his phrase "non-traditional families", the archbishop bastardized the true meaning of the word "family".  Unless the programming for these situations is based upon calling those in these situations to immediate repentance, these programs will only serve to lull such deluded individuals into a false comfort as they careen towards hell.

Given the archbishop's politically correct groveling to the gay-nazis, it's quite understandable that the Archdiocese's collective nose would have been jerked out of joint by the expose done by Lepanto; hence its ridiculous and unjustifiable diatribe.
