It is possible to take Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and use at least some of them to our advantage. I say "some" because that "some" are not intrinsically evil. For instance, the rule called "make your opponents live by their own rules" cannot be considered evil. It's high time we stop playing the "Clark Kent" nice guys and take on the agents of death head-on. As Voris explains, Donald Trump has learned how to do that. Some of us in the Catholic blogosphere have likewise learned. All faithful Catholics must do the same.

From The Maturation Department: Dolan Tries To Discredit Voices Of Truth
At the USCCB meeting last week, Cardinal Dolan apparently voiced a snit over the fact that the truth about the SinNod was promulgated far and wide. Without realizing it, he gave a back-handed compliment to the independent media who were at the Vatican, those of us utilizing electronic media to spread the word and yes, to the synod fathers who were courageous and clear-minded enough to blow the cover off the shenanigans that Kasper and yes, the Pope, tried to conduct.
In today's Vortex, Michael Voris picks apart Dolan's screed bit by bit. A question he keeps asking is
Now is Dolan simply trying to intimidate us into silence, to cow us into submission before next year's scheduled debacle? Well, yes, but I believe it's part of an orchestrated effort. Recall that as the SinNod closed last month, the Holy Father said we had a year to "mature" before the ordinary SinNod convenes next October. I believe Dolan's pouting is nothing more than a part of the maturation campaign. After all, a month has elapsed already! It's time for the progressives to get the rest of usbrainwashed matured! We gotta get with the program! Not!

"Pope" Pelosi Is On The Warpath!
Now that she is no longer the Speaker, perhaps Nancy Pelosi believes that she can shed all veneer of restraint. Catholic Vote posted today that she had a pow-wow yesterday with pro-abort bloggers in an effort to derail the pro-life initiatives underway in the House, under its current conservative leadership. While she acknowledges that she can't stop the House from passing these measures, she wants to make life issues "too hot to handle" to lessen chances of passage in the Senate. Read the Washington Post article here.
She made this statement regarding pro-life beliefs, from her pro-baby-murder vantage point. Speaking of us, she says, (quoting from the Post) "They are at a different philosophical place," she said, characterizing their view as: "all engagement has to result in a child." Pelosi noted that contraception and family planning is "not consistent with their belief that it's all about procreation." It's true that we do acknowledge God's plan for sexuality as having both a unitative and procreative aspect, and that neither of these can be removed. She ackowledges her dissent from Catholic teaching regarding morality.
Then she made this key statement, again contrasting pro-life people with pro-abortion people. "We don't have a set of shared values." Guess what? She's right! And it's high time that our Catholic bishops acknowledge that obvious fact! Enough of this "can't we all just get along", "kinder, gentler" bullshit! Babies are being murdered while too many namby-pamby folks cow at the thought of opposition, let alone struggle.
The gauntlet has been thrown yet again. Let's rise to the challenge. Support the House's initiatives. Get out in front of an abortion mill and offer Christian witness (hint: check out the Kick Out Carhart link on the right side bar). These pro-aborts are spoiling for a knock-down-drag-out. Let's not disappoint them!

US Bishops Complain About Us Bloggers
At a convention of the Catholic Media Association (not to be confused with the Catholic Media Coalition, of which we're a proud member), Bishop Gambino Zavala (auxiliary of Los Angeles and chair of the US Bishops' Communications Committee), had some things to say about Catholic media - and blogs such as this one in general. His comments about us bloggers:
