Why The Bishops' Suit Regarding HHS Mandate Is Weak

Michael Voris is spot on in this Vortex - and I'll take it a step further.  Not only do they refuse to defend and promulgate Church teaching regarding matters sexual, but some of them punish the priests who have the temerity to act like - priests of Jesus Christ.  Just put the name "Father Guarnizo" or "Father Rodriguez" in the search box for an eye full.

After you watch the video, I'll have additional remarks below that.



In the beginning of that clip, Voris made mention of the Archdiocese of Detroit knowing that the Catholic hospitals within its bounds were blatantly violating Church teaching regarding dispensing of abortifacients.  I regret to point out that the Archdiocese of Washington is no better.  I link now to a letter that I wrote to Cardinal McCarrick almost ten years ago.  This is the letter that was the unofficial launching point for my earlier website and eventually this blog.  It is a compilation of various outrages that occurred with the Archdiocese's knowledge and even instigation.

Pay close attention to the tenth item.  Georgetown University was engaging in embryonic stem cell research with approval of Cardinal McCarrick.  The letter speaks for itself.

I think it is fair to opine that the Obama administration doesn't take the US bishops seriously because the bishops don't take seriously their own call to proclaim the truth boldly.  For once I don't blame the Obamanistas.

LifeSiteNews reports that Bishop Lawrence Perisco of the Diocese of Erie PA has declared that one of the largest hospitals in the area may no longer call itself Catholic.  The St Vincent Health System has declared its intent to perform sterilizations in direct disobedience to Church Teaching.

Certain hospitals here (hint: the name begins with "Georgetown") engages in embryonic stem cell research.  This has been going on for years (highlighted in my earlier website).  Certain local retired prelates (initials TMcC) have indicated that they "are comfortable" with said research.  The Archdiocese of Washington stands in dire need of some of the clarity of Bishop Perisco.

Messiah Most Miserable May "Order" Catholic Hospitals To Murder Babies

Thanks to Pewsitter and Catholic Culture for this alert.  The ACLU (Awful Crappy Libertines Union) has requested that the Obama administration mandate "emergency abortions" at Catholic hospitals.  Naturally the Mindless Minions of His Misery are considering it!  I suppose now that they were royally trounced in Tuesday's elections, they now feel the need to get some revenge.  Is that ever so possible?  Why else would they feel the need to bully the hospitals into violating their mandates and identities?  Are the consciences of the progressives that stung and seared that this is the only way they think they can assuage their ire?  It won't work, guys!

I remember years ago when the City of New York tried to force that mandate upon the Catholic hospitals there.  Fortunately, John Cardinal O'Connor was at the helm.  He made it clear that if push came to shove, that he would immediately shut down the Catholic hospitals.  The craven cowards running the city had the good sense to reconsider.  Will today's Catholic hierarchy have the same kind of spine that Cardinal O'Connor had?

Wielding The Pen Of Perfidy...

Sister Carol Keehan, according to this American Spectator article, is now busy in "damage control" mode.  Now that the Obama Hell Bill has been passed, thanks in no small part to Sister's influence on Bart Stupak and others (for which she was awarded one of the signing pens), she is busy trying to white-wash the mess she facilitated.  Note - she isn't trying to correct things, just sweep them under the rug so the truth doesn't hurt her progressive pals in the November elections (and let's make sure it does!).

In Scranton, PA, several Catholic hospitals have closed.  The CEO of one of them, Kevin Cook, when initially asked about the cause, said quite forthrightly that the Obama Hell bill was a factor.  That was his first statement.  It appears that Sister Carol got to him and he subsequently issued other, different statements.  I need not repeat the article - please read it.  I will point out that these hospital closings are just the first, and are only a harbinger of the unraveling of the US health care industry, unless we reverse the disaster of the Obama Hell Bill.  All you fans of Sister Carol Keehan (and I mean you, Gonzaga administrators!) bear this in mind when you and/or your loved ones find healthcare just a little harder to obtain!

Of course Sister Carol Keehan isn't buddy-buddy with only the Messiah Most Miserable.  She seems to be quite chummy with Cardinal McCarrick.  This woman, who should have been barred from Holy Communion under Canon 915, actually did one of the readings during the Cardinal's birthday celebration Mass.  Clergymen who cozy up to dissidents such as Sister Carol actually grease the skids as civilization careens into the pits of hell.

Kudos for Bishop Vasa!

Lifesitenews informs us that Bishop Robert Vasa of Baker, Oregon has severed ties with St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, OR.  It seems that, despite the bishop's attempts to educate the staff there, the hospital continues to perform tubal ligations.  That is, they perform sterilizations on women, a direct violation of Church teachings.
