The Papal Betrayal Of Faithful Chinese Catholics Continues

A tweet from Raymond Arroyo caught my eye:
Actually, Pope Francis threw two faithful bishops under the bus.  See here and here.  So they were ordered to submit to godless, atheistic dictators for "the general situation of the Chinese Church".  That last part in quotes is cleverly worded, from their disgusting perspective.  Notice the words "general situation" and not "benefit"?  The Chinese Church is not benefiting at all from this farce.  The words of Chen Guangcheng, a Chinese civil rights activist rightly calls the deal a "slap in the face to millions of Catholics and other religious people in China".

I for one do not believe for a second that the pope is simply being naive about the nature of Communists.  He and the Vatican hope to gain something, and that "something" has nothing to do with any real benefit to faithful Catholics in China.

Chen Guangcheng: Ongoing Developments

Most people by now have heard of the plight of Chen Guangcheng, the blind Chinese lawyer who was instrumental in blowing the lid off of Communist China's "one-child policy" that is enforced by forced abortions on mother who already have their "one child".  For his efforts in this regard, he has been imprisoned repeatedly.  He and family members have been beaten severely and repeatedly; his health is impaired as a result.

He and his family were under house arrest when he fled to the US embassy under cover of the night.  This has proven to be embarrassing, not only for the Chi-Com thugs, but to the Messiah Most Miserable and Minions Most Mindless.  One of them, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, was on her way to Beijing for a meeting with her counterpart regarding finances.  We owe the Chi-Coms lots and lots of money, you know.

According to Lifesite News and other outlets, US embassy officials goaded Chen into leaving, stating that Chinese officials would beat his wife to death if he didn't.

He has called the embassy to express his request that he and his family be brought to the United States.  His phone calls are going unanswered.

This is a disgraceful chapter in US history - that a human rights activist, who is undergoing severe punishments and deprivations at the hands of barbaric Communists, is being ignored and even betrayed by American officials.  Yes, we do owe these same barbarians much money, but that is no excuse for our officials forgetting that they are Americans.  It lends weight to the notion that perhaps these officials haven't the slightest clue of what being American is all about, as they value money and abortion more highly than life, liberty and decency.

Representative Chris Smith and others are investigating the Obama administration's scandalous handling of this matter.

UPDATE:  I'm writing this over two days and have received word of a deal in the works that would permit Chen to come here and take up a fellowship at an American university.  He would bring his wife and two children (no mention of his mother).  Let us pray that this goes through.  I truly hope that Obama and cartel are acting as true Americans.

An Inconvenient Truth About Nobel Peace Prizes

It appears that there was another, infinitely more worthy candidate for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, much more so than Barak Hussein Obama. Hu Jia is an attorney in Red China who has been working with Chen Guangcheng, the blind attorney who exposed a campaign of forced abortions and sterilizations in China and who was subsequently imprisoned. Hu worked on his behalf until he himself was imprisoned. If there was a human rights activist who deserved this prize for all he endured, Hu Jia would fit the bill.

But no, we can't go offending the Chi-Coms, now - can we? That is especially true when Obama and cronies are hell-bent in turning the United States into another "people's paradise" hell.

However, it seems that the Messiah Most Miserable is not the first socialistic sympathiser to have been chosen by this strange Nobel committee over a much more deserving candidate. To the best of my knowledge, that dubious distinction goes to Al Gore.

Gore was awarded the 2007 prize for his science-fiction movie, "An Inconvenient Truth". Space forbids me to go into all the reasons why indeed he would find truth to be inconvenient.

A much more worthy candidate in 2007 would have been Irene Sandler. She was a Polish Catholic social worker who worked in the Polish Underground during World War II. She was responsible for saving 2,500 Jewish children from the Nazi death camps, and suffered horrific treatment from the Nazis for so doing. She died in May 2008.

The Nobel Peace Prize is now devoid of all honor and significance. It has been rendered not much more than a bauble awarded by politically correct leftists to their stooges.
