Let's look at the first question.
Over the past few days I and many other pro-life bloggers have been sharing videos produced by Center for Medical Reform. Four have been released so far. These videos provide prima facie evidence that Planned Parenthood is actively engaged in trafficking of baby body parts - parts that come from the babies whom they have murdered. Heavily implicated in this activity is a business partner of theirs known as Stem Express.
Stem Express, a California-based outfit, has obtained a restraining order from a California judge enjoining them from releasing videos that feature Stem Express personnel. David Daleiden, the driving force behind the videos, reveals in this Breitbart article why Stem Express wants the videos suppressed. On May 22 he and several others had a meeting with Cate Dyer, CEO of Stem Express. It came out in the interview that they (Stem Express) had obtained intact bodies of aborted babies from Planned Parenthood. This might indicate that the babies were born alive and subsequently murdered outside the womb. Even in today's callous pro-abortion culture, that would be a capital crime. No wonder they want these videos suppressed.
Now to the second question.
Again from Breitbart we learn the following troubling fact. The Health Policy Director for Speaker John Boehner's office staff is Charlotte Ivancic. She is older sister to Cate Dyer, the CEO of Stem Express, mentioned in the previous paragraph. Does the phrase "fox guarding the hen house" have significance here? Might this be a reason for Boehner's lack of resolve in defunding abortion, Obamacare, etc? At the very least, a top staffer of the Speaker of the House has an undeniable conflict of interest.
Boehner is not the only one. Presidential candidate Jeb Bush was founding director of the Bloomberg Family Foundation. He was named to that post in 2010 and resigned in 2014 as he prepared to announce his candidacy. While he was on the board, this foundation gave tens of millions to Planned Parenthood and funded international abortion efforts. Michael Bloomberg had always been up front about his vision for the foundation. It would be intellectually dishonest for anyone to insinuate that Bush had no knowledge of the foundation's pro-abortion fundings. I had discounted Bush as a candidate long ago; this news only confirms my instincts.
Stay tuned to this blog and others as events unfold.

Boehner: "Surrender On Obamacare AND Illegal Immigration"
Last Thursday, at a Rotary Club meeting, the Weeper of the House said the repeal of Obamacare "isn't the answer". After giving a bunch of lame excuses for a statement that many of us knew for years he was waiting to utter, he plops another about illegal immigration. In other words, (paraphrasing ever so slightly), "As long as we're wimping out over Obamacare, let's wimp out over illegal immigration, too."
One of the commenters in this article asks a very good question: "What does Obama have on Boehner?"
Boehner faces a Tea-Party challenger in his primary election: J.D. Winteregg. I would urge Ohio's 8th Congressional District to support him and retire John Boehner.

From the "Weeper Of The House Caves" Department
John Boehner, with assistance from Nancy Pelosi rammed through the budget deal. The Feds will continue to spend like drunken sailors. I suppose that's unfair to the sailors since the money they squander is their own. Some of the Democrats were recalcitrant on the deal until Pope Pelosi sweet-talked them with this phrase: "embrace the suck". Such a way with words she has!
Here is the roll call. I congratulate Andy Harris, the lone Republican from Maryland who did not "embrace the suck" but stood for principle. In 2014 many seats in the House must change - on both sides of the aisle! John Boehner, who made known his disdain for the Tea Party, is one who has got to go. He apparently has forgotten that without the Tea Party, he would not be holding that gavel. We must relieve him of it.

On The Bandwagon To Attack Syria
Don't these two men have any principles whatsoever? They are going to help plunge the United States into a
foolhardy military strike. We have reason to suspect that it is the Syrian rebels who murdered their countrymen, not the Syrian government. Moreover we have no clear-cut objectives, save to avenge the crossing of some "red line". These two men are proving themselves to be an utter disaster for this country.
What's that? You think I'm bashing Obama and Biden again? Such confusion is quite understandable, but on this occasion, those two (incompetent though they are) are not the cause of my displeasure. I speak of John Boehner, the Speaker of the House and Eric Cantor, the House Majority Leader. They are following lock-step behind the Messiah Most Miserable.
Of course we have the usual gang of suspects lining up like mice behind that pied piper called Obama: John Kerry (who won't be tossing any medals over the fence on this occasion), John McCain, Nancy Pelosi et al. No surprise there. But Boehner and Cantor? Truth be told, I anticipated the House Weeper displaying his spine of linguine but still held some vague hope that he might actually display some mettle. Nope! Well, come 2014, Boehner and Cantor have got to go. They have sold their country down the river just a few times too often.

2013 And The Fiscal Cliff AND A Congressional Pay Raise
To all: my wishes and prayers for God's blessings on you and yours for a blessed 2013.
The news from Washington today, however, suggests that the year is starting off poorly. The GOP on Capitol Hill (GOP = Gutless Old Poops) seem to be displaying their usual lack of spinal and intestinal fortitude. From CNS News comes the report of the Senate's vote to "stave off the fiscal cliff". In other words, the GOP is capitulating to the Messiah Most Miserable and to Dingy Harry and going along with their scheme to postpone real spending cuts. Only 8 senators voted against it. Some of those 8 were Democrats; good for them!
Now it goes to the House (by the way - aren't revenue bills supposed to originate in the House?). We can pray for a New Year's miracle that John Boehner will actually conduct himself as a leader instead of the "Weeper of the House". That would be a welcome surprise.
ADDENDUM
In the face of this "fiscal cliff" package that raises taxes by $41 for every $1 of tax cuts, the Messiah Most Miserable issued an "executive order" to raise the pay of Senators and Congresspeople (boys and girls, can we say "bribery"? I salute Michele Bachmann for her move to reject that pay raise. Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Will The GOP Ever Learn That Morality Takes Precedence Over Economy?
Yes, I must rebuke the GOP now - and by the way, that includes Rush Limbaugh! Today on his 3-hour program, he had this to say. I quote from his transcript and will highlight the erroneous part.
"There is a news report from the Washington Post today, and I want to warn you, this report is intended to sabotage the Republican presidential campaign. John Boehner said yesterday that there is a triple threat that exists to this country, three items that the Republicans need to stay focused on and nothing else. The triple threat is higher taxes, more stimulus spending, and federal regulations. All three undermine the creation of jobs. If you remember Ronaldus Magnus had a three-legged school. Three issues. You remember what they were, Snerdley? Defeat communism, rebuild the military, lower taxes. Those were the three things. And he never lost focus of them. Three things constantly discussed, makes it simple, doesn't complicate things. The left would love for the Tea Party to get distracted, start talking about immigration, abortion, gay marriage, all this other stuff, because right now the chief vulnerability faced by Obama and the Democrats is the economy."
So you see that Limbaugh is agreeing with Boehner's attempt to repeat a tired, old practice of shunting the core moral principles of this country off to the sidelines. When I say "core moral principles", that also includes the 4000 babies that are being murdered every day via abortion in the USA alone. It almost seems like Limbaugh is forgetting that silly talk such as what he uttered this afternoon is precisely why the Tea Party is frosted at the RINO establishment. In fact, the Tea Party arose because good, decent people are tired of the RINO establishment being willing to compromise core principles for economic advantage. Let's try to consider that "taxes, spending and regulations" are not threats to the unborn children, as the children are murdered long before they are able to confront them!
Let me make this very clear to the RINO and "GOP establishment" moles who are reading this. The GOP nominee to the presidency MUST have a clear-cut plan to end the scourge of abortion, to re-establish the primacy of marriage between one man and one woman, to restore respect for the role of the family in society. Moreover, these matters MUST be made priority over and beyond economic issues. Boehner, Limbaugh et al forget that we were founded as a nation under God. Since Limbaugh is so fond of quoting Ronald Reagan, here's a quote to ponder: "If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under." And this is what Limbaugh dismisses as "all this other stuff"?
Please notice the use of the word "must" in bold font. There is a reason for that. I wish to emphasize to my RINO readers that unless the GOP nominee does indeed deem these matters to be "top priority", he/she will not be able to count on the support of social conservatives (particularly pro-life people) and many of the Tea Party. Should there be a third candidate who will espouse those "MUST" matters, he/she will receive a large percentage of our support. No more can you take the support of social conservatives for granted, only to have our concerns - and by extension the unborn children - shoved on the back burner. We know that our God will not be mocked in that manner anymore. Haven't we learned that yet? To coin a phrase from the Clinton campaign of the recent past..

USCCB Weighs In On Budget Issues, Encourages Raising Our Taxes
The USCCB is getting quite blatant about their left-wing proclivities; they are barely couching their goals in sanctimoneous language anymore. It might as well be they who are sitting across the table from John Boehner rather than Reid, Pelosi et al, as they say pretty much the same thing (obligatory nod to the unborn aside). Read this letter that they released yesterday. By the way - should the link mysteriously "break", please advise via comment, as I have taken the precaution of saving it to my computer.
Pay attention to the part in bold. Get a load of the "shared sacrifice". Particularly notice the part about "raising adequate revenues". You know what that means, right? That's thinly-disguised language for "taxing our livelihoods away"! There are no revenues adequate for all the social engineering that these progressives (and I mean the USCCB!) want to foist on this country. They think that it is the task of the Federal government to take care of all the world's poor. Ladies and gentlemen, even if it were constitutional (and it isn't!) it isn't a realistic expectation to place on the US government - nor its citizens via "raising adequate revenues".
Let's get down to brass tacks here. The USCCB fools no one. All they are doing is trying to give some "moral veneer" to the profligate spending of their Democratic taskmasters and moral cover to levy astronomical taxes upon US citizens. This letter that they released yesterday is a disgraceful, utter sham.

Commonweal Whines About CUA Choice Of Commencement Speaker
An ostensibly "Catholic" publication is voicing displeasure about the commencement speaker for Catholic Univeristy of America. And who might be this unsavory choice of speaker? John Boeher.
This blog is so imbued with progressive brain-rot that it compares this situation with the Notre Dame commencement of two years ago, when Obama desecrated a formerly Catholic institution. The blog's author, David Gibson, displays the same mental stagation that often plagues those still stuck in the "seamless garment" rut. He states that "Boehner's budget proposals have been anything but pro-life." Oh, really? How have Boehner's proposals fostered the baby-murder known as abortion? I understand that there are, in that proposal, provisions to cut abortion funding. That can only alleviate "unnecessary suffering by the most vulnerable."
Gibson makes reference to an open letter to Boeher, signed by some academics, chiding him for what they opine as deviance from Catholic social teaching. Here is one main paragraph, and I urge you to read the thing for yourselves.
"Mr. Speaker, your voting record is at variance from one of the Church’s most ancient moral teachings. From the apostles to the present, the Magisterium of the Church has insisted that those in power are morally obliged to preference the needs of the poor. Your record in support of legislation to address the desperate needs of the poor is among the worst in Congress. This fundamental concern should have great urgency for Catholic policy makers. Yet, even now, you work in opposition to it."
To you supposed academics, there are matters on which good Catholics can disagree. These are matters of prudential judgment. I share Boehner's concern that the needs of the poor cannot be met by governmental intervention. To insist that your opinion of what is in the realm of prudential judgment constitutes conformity with the Magisterium is patently dishonest and arrogant. I don't care how many academic big-wigs you get to sign this tripe, or how many letters they have behind their names. Your quasi-socialism has been shown to be the snake-oil that it is. Get over it!
Mr. Speaker, may God guide your words to the graduates this weekend.

Thank You, Andy And Michele!!
The Republican count for HR 1363, the government funding bill, was 208 yeas and 28 nays. That means that the 208 RINOs might as well be pledging allegiance to the revamped banner that you see in the previous post below. Only 28 Republicans can hold their heads high; they deserve our accolades and esteem.
Michele Bachmann and Steve King are amongst them. Also in the faithful remnant is Andrew Harris, from Maryland's First Congressional District (eastern shore). One sad disappointment was the vote of Roscoe Bartlett for this terrible capitulation to Planned Parenthood. Roscoe!!! How could you????
This Catholic Citizens of Illinois article will now give you an idea of what Planned Parenthood will continue to do with our tax dollars, now that the GOP leadership has rolled over and played dead. In 2009, Planned Parenthood murdered over 330,000 babies. That was about the population size of Cincinnati, Ohio at the time. That's also a rate of one baby murdered every 95 seconds. I believe that also boils down to PP being responsible for approximately 20% of all abortions performed. Ladies and gentlemen, that is called "Your tax dollars - hard at work!" For that, you have to thank Boehner et al, as well as Reid, Obama and the other usual gang of suspects.

The New De Facto American Flag
As of late last night, the GOP leadership (GOP, as in "Gutless Old Poops"), once again wimped out and caved on the funding of Planned Parenthood. That means that once again, they have consented to the pilfering of the wallets of American taxpayers to fund the mass-murder of thousands of babies every day. You see, they were afraid of "losing leverage" if the federal government were to shut down for a few days. Yes, of course the key word is "afraid".
Afraid of what? The mass mainstream-lamebrain media? Again the GOP leadership assumed control of the House of Representatives in spite of the best efforts of the mass-media. In kissing up to Obama, Reid and all the progressive power brokers, the GOP leadership turns their backs on the American people who put them in their positions of power and the charge that we have given to them.
"But don't worry! We'll have THE BIG FIGHT in September!" the GOP wonks assure us. Well, wait a minute! When they caved the previous time, they told us that they would stand firm this time! Now that they've caved yet again, why on earth should we believe that they'll grow a backbone by September?
Because I sent emails to my Annapolis representatives these past few months, who all happen to be Democrats, I was placed on the email list of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee. They sent an email today announcing the budget deal. The first sentence was, "The Republicans blinked." I regret that this is an accurate summary of the GOP's behavior yesterday.
By the way - I thank Michael Hichborn of the American Life League for the flag; I lifted it off his Facebook page.

John Boehner! Eric Cantor! We're Waiting! Just Do It!
Click here if you can't see embedded video.
Supposedly the adults are now in charge of the House of Representatives. Now's the time for them to show it - even if that means that the feds might have to shut down for a few days (which would actually cut quite a bit more waste, come to think of it).

Just Say "NO!!" To ANY Budget, Short-Term Or Permanent, That Gives One More Red Penny To Planned Parenthood
Much of this information comes from Jill Stanek's blog; I commend Family Research Council and other groups who are monitoring the votes. The post relayed the dismal news that last evening, the GOP-controlled House Appropriations Committee released another proposed short-term Continuing Resolution to kick in when the current one expires next week. It continues the Planned Parenthood funding to the tune of:
That is unacceptable, to say the least.
$950,000 each DAY
That is unacceptable, to say the least.

Open Letter To Speaker Of The House John Boehner
Mr. Speaker, several weeks ago the House of Representatives voted to strip Planned Parenthood of all taxpayer dollars. Truth be told, that vote would have been difficult to lose, since the November 2010 elections put into the House true conservatives, largely due to the efforts of pro-life and tea-party activists.
Now the rubber hits the road, as the funding must be worked out in conference between the House and the Democrat-controlled Senate. This will be a true test of mettle, as there does exist the possibility of the US government running out of funds for the day-to-day operations.
Remarks made by you to David Brody of CBN News give many concern that you are getting ready to waver in the face of Democrat opposition. You said, “In the short term CR though, our focus is on cutting spending and making sure that we keep the government open. In order to get this through the House and through the Senate and signed by the president by March 4th, we’re not going to take any big chances on the fact that they’re looking for an excuse to shut down the government. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer they’ve been rooting for a government shutdown. We do not want to give them an excuse to do that.”
Mr. Speaker, of what are you afraid? If the government shuts down, it will be the Democrats who do that, not you. Oh, yes, the mainstream media will try to pin the blame on the Republicans, but bear in mind that those who ushered in the biggest Republican take-over of the House in history do not take seriously the rantings of the Washington Post, New York Times et al. Why would you? Mr. Speaker, we of the pro-life contingent and the Tea Party contingent are sick and tired of vascillation, connivance and compromise with those who do not have at their hearts the best interests of this country, and who care even less about traditional morality and values.
You stated that "what we want to do here is win the war not just win a battle and there will be an opportunity sometime in order to win the big war and we’re looking for that opportunity." Mr. Speaker, that's nonsense. One does not win wars without winning battles, and to forfeit a battle will only weaken our position in the future. Moreover, I'm mystified by your claim that "we're looking for that opportunity." Mr. Speaker, that opportunity has been handed to you on a silver platter. The recent exposes of Planned Parenthood offices throughout the country (some of them within 10 miles of the Capitol) have revealed Planned Parenthood to be an organization hell-bent on harboring child-rapists, sex-slave handlers and pimps - all done with over $363 million of our tax dollars! America is finally waking up to the truth about Planned Parenthood, and the horrible monstrosity that it is! Are you really going to squander that golden opportunity to "keep the government running"?
As I said before, we are tired of playing waiting games. For too long, pro-life activists and other conservatives have been played for chumps - but those days are now long gone. You urged pro-life activists to be "patient". Mr Speaker, no-can-do! For all this "patience" has real costs - human lives. For the love of God, Mr. Speaker, grow a backbone! If the Democrats want to shut down the government because they want a pimp-and-predator protection racket to receive our hard-earned dollars, then let the world see them for the snakes they are! Don't worry about the mainstream media! I remind you that you are Speaker of the House in spite of their machinations and conniving, not because of them.
November 2012 is not that far away. We conservatives won the House, we almost won the Senate; we intend to finish the job in 2012, as well as disinfect the White House. We will be watching, and we will also be alert to replace Republicans who do not stand on principle as opposed to connive for politics. I'm stating a fact. I and many others are most grateful for the House victory a few weeks ago, but we will not be satisified with mere symbolism; we want substance and will accept nothing less.
Now the rubber hits the road, as the funding must be worked out in conference between the House and the Democrat-controlled Senate. This will be a true test of mettle, as there does exist the possibility of the US government running out of funds for the day-to-day operations.

"Pope" Pelosi Is On The Warpath!
Now that she is no longer the Speaker, perhaps Nancy Pelosi believes that she can shed all veneer of restraint. Catholic Vote posted today that she had a pow-wow yesterday with pro-abort bloggers in an effort to derail the pro-life initiatives underway in the House, under its current conservative leadership. While she acknowledges that she can't stop the House from passing these measures, she wants to make life issues "too hot to handle" to lessen chances of passage in the Senate. Read the Washington Post article here.
She made this statement regarding pro-life beliefs, from her pro-baby-murder vantage point. Speaking of us, she says, (quoting from the Post) "They are at a different philosophical place," she said, characterizing their view as: "all engagement has to result in a child." Pelosi noted that contraception and family planning is "not consistent with their belief that it's all about procreation." It's true that we do acknowledge God's plan for sexuality as having both a unitative and procreative aspect, and that neither of these can be removed. She ackowledges her dissent from Catholic teaching regarding morality.
Then she made this key statement, again contrasting pro-life people with pro-abortion people. "We don't have a set of shared values." Guess what? She's right! And it's high time that our Catholic bishops acknowledge that obvious fact! Enough of this "can't we all just get along", "kinder, gentler" bullshit! Babies are being murdered while too many namby-pamby folks cow at the thought of opposition, let alone struggle.
The gauntlet has been thrown yet again. Let's rise to the challenge. Support the House's initiatives. Get out in front of an abortion mill and offer Christian witness (hint: check out the Kick Out Carhart link on the right side bar). These pro-aborts are spoiling for a knock-down-drag-out. Let's not disappoint them!

Mr Speaker, We Are NOT Impressed!
(Note - the following open letter to Speaker John Boehner has been emailed to his office.)
Mr Speaker, it was announced that you are suspending this week all legislative business this week because of the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords. While both she and the others shot are in our thoughts and prayers, we fail to see how this postponement will be of any assistance to them. In fact, we fail to see how this postponement will serve any tangible purpose whatsoever. Had Ms Giffords passed away, we would appreciate a period of mourning for a colleague, but such is not the case today. We've no doubt that had the Democrats been in charge, that they would have gone forward with the vote (provided they knew it would go their way).
Unfortunately but not unexpectedly, the shrill cries of the left are shrieking throughout the public, blaming the shooting everybody and everything that does not conform to their distorted world view: Sarah Palin, Tea Party, talk radio, and so on (omitting the actual perpetrator, of course). We hope and pray that this postponement is not an attempt to appease those shrill voices of nonsense. Please be certain that you will be attacked by the mainstream media relentlessly. There will be no reprieve, so you might as well get used to it. All that being said, it was not the minions of the left who elected this Republican majority to the House; it was the people, the grass-root types (held in derision by the left) who elected you.
In 1994 we also elected a Republican majority to Congress. Frankly we were disappointed that the Republican majority didn't have the resolve to stand down the liberals who even then were distorting the fabric of our country. We demand that this 112th Congress stand with backbones strong and straight and correct the course of this country, with no interruption or hesitation. Accordingly, we write this open letter to you to advise you of our dim view of this postponement and what appears to be underlying motives of appeasement to the Left. Again, Mr Speaker, it was not the Left who caused the gavel to be in your hands. It was the people who will not be disappointed again.
In the name of all that is decent, Mr Speaker, hold the vote on the Obama Health Care repeal this week as you promised.
