The Pope - Pro-Abortion?

Fifteen or so years ago I would have thought the question to be preposterous.  No longer.  The Pope allowed Nancy Pelosi to receive Holy Communion in defiance of her own bishop and his tepid response to the overturning of Roe v Wade, hosted various pro-aborts in the Vatican over the years, and still retains Father James Martin after the latter tipped his hand with his "zygote" quip.  A reasonable person might suppose  that he has some pro-abortion sympathies.  He certainly is progressive in other areas.

Pelosi Formally Barred From Holy Communion By Her Bishop

It was announced today that Archbishop Cordileone of San Francisco has barred Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, from receiving Holy Communion and has instructed his priests to follow suit.   This is prompted by Pelosi's slavish support of baby-murder.  This ban is only applicable to the Archdiocese of San Francisco, but that is Pelosi's home diocese.  Here is the letter that the Archbishop sent to Pelosi. 

The Archbishop stated that his decision was pastoral, not political.  One aim that the Church has always had for the banning of the Sacraments, and even excommunication, is the ultimate repentance of the transgressor, so that he or she can be restored to a state of grace and once again be on the path of salvation, not damnation.

The Archbishop issued a letter to his priests regarding this matter; a link to that letter can be found here.  The website for the San Francisco diocese is down as of this writing.  When it's back up, I'll link to it so that we can all express our thanks to him.  If you are on twitter, the Archbishop's handle is @ArchCordileone.

Proof?  It was on national TV tonight, just at the end of President Trump's State of the Union address.  First, she failed to introduce him as protocol requires of the House Speaker.  She pouted through the entire address  Then, on national TV, she did this to her copy of his speech.

Pelosi And USCCB Make Buffoons Of Themselves Over The Illegal Alien Situation

With the rather "sudden" influx of young children being put on buses and being shipped to the US - rendering them illegal immigrants, the USCCB is once again doing obeisance to their progressive sugar-daddies by getting behind Obama's request for nearly $4 billion to (ahem!) address this problem.  They are being lauded and cheered in this foolishness by none other than Nancy Pelosi.

She has taken the occasion to wax lyrical about the "eloquence of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops" in their discussions about the influx.  Pssst!  Hey Nancy!  A couple of points!

1. They ceased calling themselves the "National Conference of Catholic Bishops" several decades ago!  They are now the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops!  Got that?
2. You certainly had no fond words to say when they were actually acting like Catholic bishops in decrying abortion and the contraception mandate!  Your fondness for their eloquence seems to be attuned to whether they are going lockstep with the Cloward-Piven strategy versus the Magisterium!

As far as these busloads of kids coming in, has it dawned on these USCCB types - and their brother bishops south of the Rio Grande - that they should be rebuking their parents for just shoving their children away from them?  Has it dawned on them that they should be urging these parents to (wait for it!) raise their own children?

I for one think it's rather telling how all this seems to be happening in a coordinated fashion.  How did all these Mexican children come to be on those buses?  There are thousands of them; the collection and shipping of the kids to the US took some effort, and not just on the part of "desperate parents".  Of course the USCCB seems to be cheering on the influx - almost as on cue.  Are these kids meant to be the vanguard for their parents, so that they can join them (and become Democrat voters)?  I mentioned briefly the Cloward-Piven Strategy.  I'd suggest all read up on it, for we are seeing it being implemented right now.

Apostate Bishops And Amnesty For Illegal Immigrants

When waffling/politician bishops stick their noses into issues such as immigration, gun-control, minimum wage, etc they often find themselves in squalid associations with pro-abortion politicians.  Perhaps "find themselves in" is not an accurate phrase.  The phrase "actively seek out" probably describes their mindsets much more accurately - particularly if they hanker after the perks that come with rubbing elbows with the worldly rich and powerful who flout God's laws.

Such was the case last Friday with Cardinal Dolan, as he teamed up with rabidly pro-abortion and pro-sodomite Chuck Schumer to shill for amnesty for illegal immigrants.  Ignore the obviously left-wing bias of the Irish Central as you read the account of their joint photo-op at the Statue of Liberty.  Notice one key concept in one statement of Cardinal Dolan's; it's a concept that seems to have gone over his head.  Here's the statement.  "I would not be here if my great-grandfather Patrick Dolan was turned away in 1852.
I'm a pastor and every great religion welcomes the immigrant. It is fundamental and moral.."

Like Cardinal Dolan, I am primarily of Irish descent.  I would imagine his great-grandfather arrived here by way of Ellis Island, as did most of my ancestors.  My ancestors arrived at Ellis Island, respecting the laws of their new host nation and quite prepared to comply with immigration policies at that time; I presume that was the case with the Cardinal's great-grandfather.  They did not come skulking across the border for they knew such actions were inherently criminal and immoral.

To the right I have posted a very helpful chart to explain to Dolan and his progressive donors friends just exactly why we oppose amnesty for those here illegally.  I don't think they care; in fact, they do their utmost to obfuscate the issues to make people of common sense out to be hateful xenophobes (as exemplified in the Irish Central article).  More and more people are waking up; see this account of citizens of a southern California town who didn't want their hometown used as a haven for busloads of these people.

There's no doubt in my mind that these progressives simply see illegal aliens as those who will be dependent on them for everything - and who will vote them into power.  Nancy Pelosi has been shilling for amnesty for some time now, although not as fervently as she shilled for Obamacare and unrestrained baby-murder.  Recently Sarah Palin demonstrated her ability to pin Pelosi down, stating that Pelosi is more interested in illegal aliens than in unborn children.

I wonder if the latter statement can be said of Cardinal Dolan and so many of the progressive "social justice" USCCB-types within the Catholic hierarchy?  Given the amount of effort spent on each issue, I'd have to opine "YES".

More Cow-Pie From Pelosi's Mouth

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco will participate in the March for Marriage in DC on June 19th.  Many progressive and pervert-pandering San Francisco pols - including Nancy "pope" Pelosi - are urging him not to attend.

It is a sad yet educational exercise to read the letter.  They have so many things precisely ass-backwards.  They accuse the March participants of promoting "hatred and division".  Rather, it is they who, through their disregard of God and His laws, cause hatred to be fomented.  As for division, as long as there are those who flout God's laws, there had better be division, for good and evil simply cannot co-exist.  It is the promotion and coddling of the "gay agenda", along with perversion of marriage, that is truly evil.

God bless the Archbishop for his leadership.  And as another blogger pointed out, since Pelosi has been disregarding Church teaching for so long to her eternal peril, there is no reason on God's green earth why he should listen to her.  I hope Pelosi et al will let that sink into their thick skulls.   Pray for their repentance.

Tonight In DC - Planned Parenthood Blood Feast Picketed

Today at a blood feast put on by Planned Parenthood, Nancy Pelosi received their "Margaret Sanger Award".  They consider that award their "highest honor".  Arguably it is appropriate; Margaret Sanger was an unabashed eugenicist, wanting to rid the world of what she called "human weeds".  During her life, she had been known to confer with Nazi doctors and Ku Klux Klan groups.  Rey Flores of American Life League penned some choice words regarding this evening's debacle.

So tonight Pelosi, a "katholyc" whose political career has been one huge mockery and affront to her faith and Our Lord Jesus Christ, received her "thirty pieces of silver".  This occurred at the annual gala for Planned Parenthood.  Without a doubt this bash was funded in part through abortion revenues; this it is most accurate to refer to this Planned Parenthood as a blood feast.

Fortunately more than a few of them received some real food for thought as they arrived.  About 10 - 20 of us, led by Defend Life of Baltimore, stood outside the Wardman Park Marriott Hotel (at Woodley and Connecticut) holding signs and distributing leaflets to those who would accept.  We were there from 5-7pm this evening.

My!  It's amazing that a few little signs and flyers can get these pro-aborts worked into a blather!  I was standing on the sidewalk next to the driveway off Woodley.  Some hotel official had a snit.  He came over and told me that I couldn't hand the flyers to "hotel guests".  I politely but firmly reminded him that I was on the public sidewalk where I had a perfect right to hand flyers to whomever would accept them.  He retreated a little bit and decided to be my "babysitter", for lack of better word.  When friends joined me who had signs, they decided to bring police in.  The police suv just drove around and parked along the street.  I didn't realize that DC had gotten to be so murder-free that they could spare the time to glower at some middle-aged ladies standing on the sidewalk.  A few people took flyers.  Some flipped the bird.  Sadly, from some of the faces, it was clear that at least three of the women passing by had been victimized by abortion - perhaps at a Planned Parenthood mill.

Other pro-lifers were standing along Connecticut Avenue, heading into the south entrance of the hotel.  Some of them got into heated exchanges with passersby and blood-feast attendees.  I don't mind hearing about these for it was evident that some consciences were jolted awake from their stupors.

These Planned Parenthood attendees, and hopefully Pelosi herself, had a little something to render that meal just a tad bit less sumptuous than it might have been otherwise.  All of us will be going before God when we die; these folks will do so with blood on their hands.  They need to repent and amend their lives pronto.

John Boehner, with assistance from Nancy Pelosi rammed through the budget deal.  The Feds will continue to spend like drunken sailors.  I suppose that's unfair to the sailors since the money they squander is their own.  Some of the Democrats were recalcitrant on the deal until Pope Pelosi sweet-talked them with this phrase: "embrace the suck".  Such a way with words she has!

Here is the roll call.  I congratulate Andy Harris, the lone Republican from Maryland who did not "embrace the suck" but stood for principle.  In 2014 many seats in the House must change - on both sides of the aisle!  John Boehner, who made known his disdain for the Tea Party, is one who has got to go.  He apparently has forgotten that without the Tea Party, he would not be holding that gavel.  We must relieve him of it.

Cardinal Burke: Nancy Pelosi Must Be Denied Holy Communion

LifeSiteNews published an article regarding an interview given by Cardinal Burke, head of the Apostolic Signatura.   The article links to the full interview as reproduced by the Wanderer.

As he commented about the status of the Church in the United States, he touched on many topics: the gay agenda, abortion, Tridentine Mass.  When asked about a particularly scandalous statement that Nancy Pelosi made regarding the Faith, he replied, "Certainly this is a case when Canon 915 must be applied." (emphasis mine)  Very simply, Canon 915 states that "those obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion".

Notice that His Eminence did not say that she shouldn't present herself for Holy Communion (that would be Canon 916).  No doubt he is aware that she would arrogantly do so anyway.  In invoking Canon 915, Cardinal Burke clearly lays the onus on the two bishops who would, before God, have some spiritual responsibility for Pelosi: Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco (her home diocese) and Cardinal Donald Wuerl of Washington DC (her "home-away-from-home" diocese).  Cardinal Wuerl has already made known his aversion to Canon 915.  Did I say "aversion"?  Perhaps "disregard" is a better word.  In fact, recall that in Lent of 2012, he actually punished a priest, Father Marcel Guarnizo for upholding Canon 915.  Most of my Feb-March 2012 posts elaborated on that disgraceful action of the DC chancery in regard to Father Guarnizo.

What Cardinal Wuerl and so many others call a "pastoral" approach is cowardice and/or currying of favor of powerful dissidents.  There is no real regard for the eternal destinies of Pelosi and others like her.  The real pastoral approach can be found in the words and practices of both Cardinal Burke and Father Guarnizo.

On The Bandwagon To Attack Syria

Don't these two men have any principles whatsoever?  They are going to help plunge the United States into a
foolhardy military strike.  We have reason to suspect that it is the Syrian rebels who murdered their countrymen, not the Syrian government.  Moreover we have no clear-cut objectives, save to avenge the crossing of some "red line".  These two men are proving themselves to be an utter disaster for this country.

What's that?  You think I'm bashing Obama and Biden again?  Such confusion is quite understandable, but on this occasion, those two (incompetent though they are) are not the cause of my displeasure.  I speak of John Boehner, the Speaker of the House and Eric Cantor, the House Majority Leader.  They are following lock-step behind the Messiah Most Miserable.

Of course we have the usual gang of suspects lining up like mice behind that pied piper called Obama: John Kerry (who won't be tossing any medals over the fence on this occasion), John McCain, Nancy Pelosi et al.  No surprise there.  But Boehner and Cantor?  Truth be told, I anticipated the House Weeper displaying his spine of linguine but still held some vague hope that he might actually display some mettle.  Nope!  Well, come 2014, Boehner and Cantor have got to go.  They have sold their country down the river just a few times too often.

Pro-Aborts Flunk Basic Biology Class

Last week Nancy Pelosi plopped another stinker when she let loose with (speaking of the GOP and contraception), "I don't know if my colleagues need a lesson on the birds and the bees.."  Well, bust my britches!  I never knew that birds and bees use contraceptives, but we'll save that for another post.

If "pope" Pelosi is of a mind to give lessons, may I suggest a poor young fellow who is desperately in need of tutelage about basic biology?  Courtesy of LifeNews, here he is!

What am I thinking?  If Pelosi thinks that "birds and bees" contracept, her teaching of this kid would truly be the blind leading the blind.

Pelosi Sticks Both Feet In Mouth - Again!

She and Joe Biden must be competing for the title of "pro-abortion CINO politician who can make the biggest fool of him/herself".  Today during a press conference, she fudged her way around some questions regarding the proposed ban on abortion after 20 weeks.  She proceeds to say:

• "They are saying there is no abortion" (after the 1-minute mark).  No, the bill is meant to prohibit abortion after 20 weeks   Regardless of what one thinks of the 20-week demarcation, we all can see that she is misrepresenting the bill, probably deliberately so.
• She claims to be a "practicing Catholic" as she shills for baby-killing.  In other words, she says she's a "practicing Catholic" while she advocates the opposite of Catholic practice.
• She refuses to explain her reasoning, claiming it's "sacred ground" to her.

I can see where Pelosi comes from, with that "sacred ground" quip.  After all, to someone whose "god" is money and/or power, abortion might well be their "sacred cow".  There certainly is an abundance of blood money at the disposal of these abortionists, and they will dole it out to the politicians to keep them in their pockets.

Poor Nancy!  When Pendergraft's mill was dismantled today, she must have seen it as a profanation of her "sacred ground"!  Below is the video of Pelosi making a fool of herself.

Biden And Pelosi Sacrilege - What Will WE Do About It?

The news is all over the Catholic blogosphere that pro-abortion "katholycs" Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden received Holy Communion at the inaugural Mass today.  Many are understandably outraged, but I believe that their outrage is misdirected.  They are implying that this bodes ill for Pope Francis as he should have arranged to have Holy Communion denied to the two pro-aborts.

I believe the logistics of that scenario would have made it impossible for Pelosi and Biden to have been so denied.  Most of us Americans can recognize Biden and Pelosi as they are so prominent in US politics.  We fail to take into account that the two are not "household words" for people living in other countries.  They most likely would not be recognized by most of the European "man-on-the-street" people.  There is no reason to presume that a local priest distributing Communion at that Mass would have recognized Biden and Pelosi, let alone realize that Canon 915 should be applied to them.

So let us all take some deep breaths and count to ten.  This antic pulled by Pelosi and Biden is not some ominous indication of the course of Francis' papacy.  What it is, though, is a wake-up call to us laity that we need to step up to the plate.

What do I mean by that?  The fact is that we bloggers have been raising our voices about this atrocity until we're blue in the face.  Another fact is that we are largely being ignored.  What to do about that?  I have a suggestion and it's not a new one!

Almost ten years ago, when the Rainbow Sash crowd stated their intentions to make sacrilegious Holy Communions in the Archdiocese of St Paul (MN), a group of Catholic gentlemen, led by David Pence stood - knelt, actually - in the gap.  They called themselves "Ushers of the Eucharist".  You can read about them at the link.  That group is now inactive (to the best of my knowledge) but perhaps we should take up that mantle ourselves.  Wait!  I can hear the objections!

• "That might cause scandal!"  No, the scandal is already happening vis-a-vis the blatant sacrileges.
• "Tension during Mass?"  Better that than flagrant mortal sins during Mass

This could take many forms, such as the kneeling in the Sashers' path that the original group did, or walking besides them and pleading with them not to imperil their own souls with yet another mortal sin.  It's a pity that we have to contemplate such measures, but the bishops' adamant refusal to obey Canon 915 (and their punishment of priests who do obey that canon law) leave us with no choice.  Perhaps they will reconsider if they see that we ourselves are willing to step out of our "comfort zones" to keep the Eucharist from sacrilege.

Nancy Pelosi Whines About Her Dignity

And just what occasions this sob-session?  Why, she doesn't want to have her "dignity" ruined by a Congressional pay cut!  I suppose she's forgotten all about us, the Great Unwashed, who have seen our earnings and prospects crippled thanks to the progressive policies she and her cronies (including the Messiah Most Miserable) have foisted upon us.

One of those monstrosities has been the Obamacare-Hell-Bill.  You know, it's the one that Pope Pelosi said we'd have to pass in order to find out what's in it.  Well, sounds like Nancy is finding out just like the rest of us.

I suppose that since she's no longer the Speaker, she's still smarting now that she doesn't have her own jet to whisk her to and from California.  Now to add insult to injury, she must struggle by on the mere pittance of $174,000 per year!  But not to worry!  Perhaps she can apply to get on Obama's food stamp program!

The horror!  The tragedy of it all!  It's so underoverwhelming.  I'll close this post so that we can all get our hankies and shed a tear!  Boo-hoo!  Sniff!  Sob!

Pelosi Targets The First Amendment

When "Pope" Pelosi isn't busy monkeying around with Catholic teaching, she delights in showcasing her ignorance of the US Constitution.  You may have heard by now that she would like to amend the First Amendment.  She thinks that big, evil corporations play too big a role in the political arena of ideas.

She gave a press conference last Thursday during which she said,   "We have a clear agenda in this regard: Disclose, reform the system reducing the role of money in campaigns, and amend the Constitution to rid it of this ability for special interests to use secret, unlimited, huge amounts of money flowing to campaigns. I think one of the presenters [at a Democratic forum on amending the Constitution] yesterday said that the Supreme Court had unleashed a predator that was oozing slime into the political system, and that, indeed, is not an exaggeration.  Our Founders had an idea. It was called democracy. It said elections are determined by the people, the voice and the vote of the people, not by the bankrolls of the privileged few. This Supreme Court decision flies in the face of our Founders’ vision and we want to reverse it."

Here it is again, with my comments in red.

The Winners Of The 2011 Moloch Awards Are....

First, what are the Moloch Awards?  They are awards given to deserving (?) individuals by the American Life League who have plumbed the depths of serving the demagogues of abortion.  Moloch was a false deity worshipped by ancient peoples.  They did so by sacrificing newborns to it.  We have way too many people today serving in blind obedience to the murderous idol.

Now the American Life League has announced the "winners" of the awards in various categories.  I need not "reinvent the wheel", as it were.  On the ALL page can be found all the "winners".  No doubt there were some tough decisions to be made, as any number of scoundrels could have taken these awards, but there's always next year, I suppose!

Aww C'Mon, Nancy! Make Up Your Mind Already!!

Yesterday during a press conference, Nancy Pelosi dismissed the Catholic bishops' attempts to keep Obamacare from forcing Catholics to participate in baby-killing vis-a-vis coverage for abortifacients.  She dismissed the bishops as mere "lobbyists in DC".  (A video is below.) 

Such was not her attitude a mere 18 months ago, when she urged the Church to play a "major role" in immigration reform.  In fact, she was encouraging pastors to preach from the pulpit about the matter. 

So do we sense some inconsistency, some contradiction here?  On the one hand, she dismisses the moral voice of the Church.  On the other hand, she seeks to exploit it as (wait for this!) a tool to "lobby their congregations", as it were.  Yes, there is inconsistency, but she (like other progressives) doesn't really give a rat's rump about that!

The modus operandi is to exploit the clergy when they find it convenient, and when the clergy start acting like men of God and calling the progressives on the carpet, why, they'll do all they can to dismiss (and even intimidate) them.  "Pope" Pelosi's little shenanigans are simply par for the course!

Pelosi Whines About Catholics' "Conscience Thing"

I put up two posts last month, detailing Nancy Pelosi's pearls of wisdom.  She opined that we ladies would be dropping dead like flies hither and yon if conscience protections for doctors were enacted in law. He also expressed her abject horror at the thought of Planned Parenthood's tax funding being eliminated (probably because PP would then cut their support to her sorry political career).

Two days ago, she has graced us all with more verbal cow pies in an interview with the Washington Post.  After her snit-fit about Herman Cain referring to her as "Princess Pelosi", she said (among other things) that she would not have said anything different when she said that we'd all be croaking if conscience protections were passed.  After claimng to be a "devout Catholic" (except for minor matters such as her support of baby murder and perversion of marriage, etc), she complains that we have "this conscience thing".  Again, she just can't let go this canard of women dying - probably because she can't remove her feet from her mouth.

"This conscience thing"!!   Gee!!   I wonder if she has one of those??

But wait!  It gets worse!  And I do mean it!
One major point she made during her interview was that she intends to do to "child care" what she did to "health care".  What will it entail?  Well, she'll probably say that we'll have to pass the bill to see what little embedded gremlins emerge from it.  Language in that bill will probably include things like "mandatory", etc.  And of course there will be lots and lots of bureacracies and taxes.

Parents, beware!  Also understand that critical importance of the 2012 elections.  Besides dethroning the Messiah Most Miserable, we must also make sure "pope" Pelosi never becomes the House Speaker ever again!
