Archbishop Vigano Faces Vatican Kangaroo Court

Archbishop Carlo Vigano, former Papal Nuncio to the United States, has been one of the few prelates to call a spade a spade when it comes to the mischief occasioned by Vatican II and in particular, this current papacy with which the Church is now being scourged.  He has also been a key factor in exposing the former prelate Theodore McCarrick as being not only a sexual predator, but also a facilitator in the progressive rot that has infested the Church hierarchy.

Comes now the news that the Vatican's Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith demanded that Vigano go to the Vatican for an "extrajudicial process" to answer for the "crime of schism".  That phrase "extrajudicial process" is quite intriguing. The "extra" prefix hints that this process does not fall within normal canonical guidelines for a normal judicial process.  Without canonical regulations, anything goes, right?  Unless I am misunderstanding something (could be quite possible), that phrase "extrajudicial process" might just be a fancy synonym for "kangaroo court".

The communication from the Vatican to Vigano can be found on that LifeSiteNews page.  Archbishop Vigano has issued a response, and it is well worth studying.  Every word of it is true.  It can be found at this link.  Should it go "missing", I have saved a copy of it, and suggest that all readers do the same.

Archbishop Vigano is by no means in schism.  He does, however, represent a threat to those who are treating their episcopal authority as their personal plaything, a tool to undermine and even destroy the Church from within.  We are seeing concurrently another manifestation.  LifeSiteNews and other Catholic outlets are reporting that the pope et al are frustrated that the Latin Mass is not withering away.  In fact, interest in it has even increased.  Details are not yet clear, but it seems that even more draconian restrictions are set to be inflicted on July 16.  

This Mass will NOT shrivel up and go away.  It has nurtured many Saints over the last several hundred years.  It is protected by Quo Primum, the papal bull issued by Pope St Pius V.   Other prelates such as Bishop Schneider and Cardinal Burke have stated that the Mass belongs to the Church's tradition and thus cannot be legitimately eliminated.  I wonder - will those two eventually be summoned to their own "extrajudicial processes"?

We need to stand with Archbishop Vigano and these others.  We need to stand for the Traditional Latin Mass and tell these prelates that they must back down.  It is not we who have forgotten who they are; it is they who disregard their own sacerdotal offices.

Why Satan And His Sycophants Hate The Mass Of The Ages

 Lex orandi, lex credendi, lex vivandi.  The meme encapsulates why the modernists hate the Latin Mass.  It hinders them as they attempt to mutate the truths of Catholic faith and morality, truths taught by Jesus Christ Himself through His church.  That is why the Latin Mass is evicted from the Church while we see Bozo the Clown Masses being conducted with impunity in our Churches.  That is why the current occupant of the Vatican casts slurs upon us as he calls us "neo pelagians", "rigid" and all manners of derogatory terms.

We will stand fast with this Mass, even if eventually we must go underground.  The Mass will not be suppressed, despite all the hell-spawned attempts to do so.

In The Archdiocese Of Washington: Pelosi Admitted To Holy Communion, Traditional Latin Masses To Be Banned From Parishes

Word has it that Cardinal Gregory is set to clamp down severely on the few parishes that currently offer the Traditional Latin Mass.  In a nutshell, no parish will be allowed to host the Mass of the Ages.  Instead, attendees will be sent to one single Mass offered on the grounds of the Franciscan Monastery in the Brookland area of DC, not far from the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  There will be no exceptions.  Remember - this same prelate didn't bat an eye when Nancy Pelosi received Holy Communion at Trinity church when her own bishop banned her from Holy Communion.  This means that absolute dissidents can receive Holy Communion, but the Traditional Latin Mass will be banned from the Archdiocese of Washington.

Welcome To St Silly's Parish!

We recently heard of alleged leniency that the pope displayed to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP).  While this is welcome news, I agree with the producer of the video below that there's more to this than meets the eye.  The pope's ultimate intent is plainly laid out in Traditionis Custodes, and that never was rescinded.  I will post the video below, and below that, a helpful (?) introduction to the kind of treatment that we who attend the Latin Mass should expect.

Pray The Latin Mass Wherever We Can

Traditionis Custodes might well be renamed "Traitorous Custodians" for that is what the pope and his handlers are to the Sacred, God-given Traditions of the Church.  No one who has the barest modicum of reading and comprehension ability can gainsay that TC reeks of animosity towards the Mass that has been the mainstay of thousands of saints, martyrs, Doctors of the Church.  There is a saying that "as goes the Mass, so goes the world".  Saint Padre Pio once said that it would be easier for the earth to survive without the sun than without the Mass.

We can see during these past few decades how civilization has been crumbling ever since Bugnini et al dared to tinker with the Mass.  Michael Hichborn, president of Lepanto Institute, delves into some of the subterfuge of Bugnini and buddies that resulted in the vastly inferior Novus Ordo Mass; please read here.  Their end game is the destruction of the Holy Mass.  

But this Mass is of Divine origins, so ultimately the forces of evil cannot succeed.  As more than a few of us did during the lockdowns, we may have to find this Mass done "off the radar", so to speak.  Hundreds of years ago, Catholic Ireland faced the same dilemma.  They took to the hills and offered Mass there.  We may have to do the same as did our forefathers long ago.  Our Lady of Fatima promised that in the end, her Immaculate Heart, and Our Lord, would triumph. Meanwhile, with Rosary in hand and hearing the Latin Mass wherever we can, we must stand firm.

Traditionis Custodes - Needed Attitudes And Actions

A shout-out to my blogging colleague Dymphna for her practical suggestions in preparing for the worst in the wake of Traditionis Custodes.  She reminds us that the steps that she suggests were taken in the 1960s-1980s by those who sought to preserve the Traditional Mass in the wake of Vatican II.  At the time, I was a child whose family more or less went along with the new changes so I was not aware of those people and their heroic efforts.  At this time, a goodly number of US bishops are opting for the status quo, at least until they've had a chance to study the document.  If the Vatican had two functioning brain cells, they would have realized that an immediate implementation was not logically feasible, but but logic and common sense are not in plenteous supply at the Vatican these days.
