In most US dioceses, the second collection at this weekend's Masses will go towards the Catholic Relief Services. This includes Baltimore and Washington DC. This blog, the Lepanto Institute, and other faithful Catholic sites have cited numerous reasons over the years how this outfit, along with the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Charities and others have funneled millions of dollars towards progressive organizations that spread both spiritual and physical death and destruction. And no, they didn't just naively give over the cash. They were founded with the express purpose of undermining Holy Mother Church.

Tonight's episode of the Lepanto Institute featured Michael Hichborn reviewing the accomplishments of the Institute in 2025. In doing so, he also gave helpful snapshots that reveal the ills that still plague the Church. Some of these ills are new.
Please take the time to watch this. Then consider how your donation dollars might be better spent: on diocesan structures or charities that are actually carrying out the mission of Holy Mother Church. Also consider how you might be more diligent about waking up your fellow Catholics to the problems of the Church.
In most dioceses across the nation, the second collection at Masses on Sunday March 30 will benefit the Catholic Relief Services. Locally, both the Archdiocese of Baltimore and the Archdiocese of Washington will be collecting for the CRS. The CRS is under the direct control of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
As you can see by my link, there have been multiple moral failings of the Catholic Relief Services, such as direct distributions of condoms, employing an openly "gay-married" man as a vice president, creating a "health network" in Africa that includes abortionists, etc.
Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) exposed the fact that CRS has been heavily funded by USAid. Fortunately that is now drying up. The CRS now needs to go away completely. Please do NOT give them one red cent of your money this coming weekend.
I've written about the lackluster dreck that is frequently sung at Novus Ordo Masses. However, I had no idea, until I saw this, just how pervasive and inimical this problem really is. I daresay that as we look at things closer, we will see how the serving up of musical inferiority is a tool of the Deep Church to deconstruct the Faith. Recall that St Augustine said that "who sings, prays twice". Thus the singing directly impacts our prayer. Couple that with "lex orandi, lex credendi, lex vivandi". It is a problem to be taken seriously.
In this evening's episode of the Anchor Team, Michael Hichborn traced some roots of the deep state/church as they went all the way back to the Protestant Revolt of the 16th century. With the heresies of protestantism taking root, the rot of Christian civilization got underway and freemasonry spread and grew in influence.
I am not going to try to rehash the entirety of this program. Suffice it to say that anyone who calls themselves a faithful Catholic has a duty to inform themselves regarding the forces that impact their church, their countries, the futures of their children and grandchildren. The hour that will be required to watch this clip will be well worth it. We talk of praying for the Church and the present woes, as well as that of society in general. How do we think we can pray effectively and intelligently if we can't be bothered to understand how we got to this sorry position in which we find ourselves?
I will point out one thing. We know that President Trump is no perfect person. We saw proof of that when he stated that he wanted to expand the availability of in vitro fertilization, an inherently sinful practice. However, he has cut off the funding to various arms of the deep state. Had Kackles won the election, IVF would still be available, and funding to the deep state/church would have been unabated.
Today Michael Hichborn interviewed Reggie Littlejohn. Their discussion revolved around the agenda that certain global wonks with lots of money and clout have for the rest of us. In their arrogance, they are moving to obtain and exercise control over us and every aspect of our lives. Of course they are setting themselves up as our de facto gods. I think as you listen to this, a great many events of this present day will make sense. They are part of a plan to bring us into sheep-like subservience.
One of their more blatant experiments was with the Covid lockdowns. Their success with that was frightening. That is a testament not only to their machinations, but also to the lack of courage and spiritual fortitude of the general populace. Having largely abandoned God and adopted lives of disobedience to Him in varying degrees, they lacked the spiritual and mental wherewithal to withstand the clarion call to surrender their rights and autonomies for an illusion of safety.
They are also attempting to corral us into metropolitan areas, away from rural areas, so that we can be penned in and more easily controlled. That is one reason why Kamala Harris, should she (God forbid) win the White House, will attempt to tax unrealized capital gains, including that of the houses we own. That is why Montgomery County MD is seeking to restrict the zoning for single-family buildings. I believe that is a key motive behind the Reproductive Freedom Amendment in Maryland, as it will serve to separate children from the protection and authority of their parents. I could go on and one, but I won't.
That is also why they are pulling out all stops to defeat Donald Trump. Trump, for all his faults, is not a globalist. He will resist them. They know that and will stop at nothing to defeat him. They have already demonstrated that assassination is acceptable to them.
One more thing before I post the video. Ms. Littlejohn has started an effort called Anti-Globalist International. Please go to that website and sign its manifesto. Then in November, vote the GOP ticket, from Trump right on down the ticket.

Within a few weeks, most dioceses in the US will devote their second collections to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development - CCHD for short. Long-time readers of this blog (and others) will recall that we've said much about the immense harm done by the CCHD - after unsuspecting Catholics have been duped into donating their hard-earned money to them.
In tonight's episode of the Anchor Team, Michael Hichborn details another chapter of his expose of the CCHD. Towards the end of his presentation, he engages in some discussion about what we Catholics in the pews can do about them. In the second article of the anthology to which I linked in the first paragraph is an envelope stuffer that you may wish to use when that second collection basket passes in front of you during Mass.
Please watch the episode in its entirety, then take some action. With the Sin-Nod droning on, it can be easy for such things as the CCHD collection to slip right by us, but we mustn't relax our vigilance.
Below these musings I will post two videos: one from today's Lepanto Institute where Michael and Alyssa Hichborn are discussing Father Pavone's plight, bringing some salient points to bear on the matter and also taking issue with some faithful Catholics who are drinking the anti-Pavone kool-aid. Below that will be an interview with Father Gerald Murray (one of the Papal Posse from The World Over). Father Murray is a canon lawyer and he will explain just why this bogus laicization just does not jive with canon law. I urge that both videos be watched in their entirety.
Archbishop Vigano also released a strong statement that condemns the obvious attempt to stab Father Pavone in the back. As I read it, I surmise that he isn't aware that Bishop Strickland of Tyler TX also voiced support for Father Pavone in his tweet.
As many of you know, the pope and cabal initiated a "Synod on Synodality". That is no joke. They are literally talking about talking. Not only that, but they've decided to extend the gabfest for who knows how long. We know from past synods what the real deal is. The New World Order wonks - and that includes Francis - have an agenda that will be realized through this. They are merely putting on this charade to give the appearance that they really care about input from real Catholics. But I suppose enough people are naive enough to believe that they aren't being played for fools, although there has been plenty of precedent for them to realize the truth.
In any event, the Vatican released a few days ago a "Working Document for the Continental Stage". What is a "continental stage"? Who knows? I doubt they know or care. As you can see, I've linked to the 45-page tome.
Michael Hichborn of Lepanto Institute worked off some time in purgatory by reading through that mess, and analyzing it for us. You might want to have the link above opened so that you can verify for your own sakes the quotes that Hichborn unpacks in his video. Make no mistake. They, from Francis on down, are trying to mutate the Church into a horrid caricature of Her true nature. The Church is the Mystical Body of Christ so she can never be destroyed, but they sure are trying. In their efforts, these progressives will endanger their own souls, plus the souls of countless others who have the "itching ears" of which Paul warned to Timothy.
So now we have this long-winded screed written by Vatican gas-bags telling us that mortal sins such as adultery, sodomy, fornication, contraception, idolatry, etc aren't really all that bad. Of course that is false and we see that this mish-mash is sinful in and of itself, as it is chock-full of cooperation with mortal sin. I cannot think of a single document that has come from the Francis mockery of a papacy that hasn't explicitly promoted mortal sin and/or heresy. If I am incorrect, please post examples in the com-boxes.
Let's not be hesitant to explain to others just why this "synod" and the countless others sure to follow are spiritual poison. Let's keep praying our rosaries.
Yesterday in Philadelphia, Biden delivered what he called a speech. It was really a panicked screed against conservatives who look askance upon the obvious cheating in 2020. Notice that he called us "MAGA Republican extremist". If there's anything "extremist", it's the usage of the office of the Presidency to slander millions of Americans who want to bring this country back to some semblance of moral and fiscal sanity. For all his denunciations of politically-motivated violence, he has absolutely nothing to say about the violence that Antifa wreaked upon the nation in 2016 when Trump was declared the victor over Hillary Clinton. There indeed is panic in his voice and words: panic that his socialistic and anti-American schemes will be stymied. More importantly, the panic is being felt by his handlers: the ones who fed him that yarn to spin yesterday.
I will post the Biden screed. Below that I will post an analysis by Michael Hichborn. Throughout his piece, Hichborn asked the question "to whom was Biden talking". I agree that this was nothing short of a rabble-rousing diatribe, calling to "action" all the antifa, BLM, corrupt government agencies, and other lowlife to action should conservatives win the November elections. Trump endorsed quite a few candidates; 92% of those whom he endorsed won their party's nomination and are going to the general elections in November. We saw that in Maryland, where Trump-endorsed Dan Cox won the GOP nomination for the gubernatorial race over Kelly Schultz, the RINO-anointed "heir" to Hogan.
To the White House snoops who are reading this: would you please remind your Dear Leader that the United States of America never was a pure democracy? Our Founding Fathers rightly feared a pure democracy, knowing it would devolve to mob rule. Rather we are a constitutional republic. Please tell him that, for he keeps calling the USA a democracy. This is one of the more minor ways in which he embarrasses himself and the Constitution that he is sworn to uphold. By the way, while your Dear Leader was spewing nonsense about "threats to democracy", Steve Bannon's home was swatted for the second time. This swatting is a real "threat to democracy", no?
Below is last week's episode of the Anchor Team. Michael and Alyssa Hichborn spent the bulk of the time on the conversion of Shia LaBeouf and his subsequent interview with Bishop Robert Barron. It is an hour and twenty minutes long and I myself am in the process of listening to it (in chunks). Here is the link. From what others tell me, LaBeouf brings the focus on the Traditional Latin Mass as being a key factor of his conversion. He learned of it as he was preparing for his role as Padre Pio in a biographical movie of the saint. Hichborn tells of his impressions of Barron's reaction to LaBeouf's account.
From what Hichborn says, Barron's reaction to the Latin Mass is somewhat similar to what Molly Olmstead wrote in the Slate a few days ago. Here is her screed. In addition to being informed of what she says, you'll also have the added benefit of mortification of your sensibilities as you take in both her ignorance and arrogance. She says the Latin Mass is "controversial", as if that is a bad thing. The fact is that for centuries, the Catholic Faith has always been "controversial" enough in the eyes of those set in their sins that they have always striven to mock and persecute us.
However, these days the persecution of faithful Catholics is coming from quite a few prelates. We just saw several questionable bishops receiving their red hats from Francis, one of them being Robert McElroy of San Diego. I've written a lot on him in the past. Towards the end of the Lepanto clip, the Hichborns discuss some ominous theories that could well have solid basis. There's talk of Francis appointing a "papal co-adjutor", owing to his failing health. Cardinal Cupich, who has his own long litany of insults to the Faith, seems to be a top contender for that role. Should that happen, there's a decent possibility that McElroy would be moved to Chicago, to further cement that archdiocese's descent into disbelief and debauchery. In fact, all these appointments place many souls in jeopardy.
As mentioned in my previous post, it is high time that faithful Catholics stood up to the tyrants that are literally in our midst. Some are already about that important task. One such effort in the DC area will occur Saturday Sept 17 - a pilgrimage for the restoration of the Latin Mass. More details can be found here.
Next Saturday, Sept 3, this same group will be conducting a Rosary Rally at 10 am outside the Papal Nunciature. The address is 3339 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington DC.
I will suggest that you watch the following two clips. The first is tonight's episode of Lepanto Institute's Anchor Team. There are a few seemingly disparate items that do have a common theme. In the first part, Michael Hichborn details the connection that exists between the Association of United States Catholic Priests and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The first is outright heretical and the other tries vainly to maintain a semblance of Catholic identity.
In the next segment, Hichborn elaborates on the damage done by the Vatican as it signed onto the Paris Climate Agreement. Its effects will include the scarcity of food as costs to "go green" will grind the economy to a halt. Given what one of the statements said on the now-destroyed Georgia Guidestones, I strongly suspect that to be the idea.
Another segment concerns the aftermath of the June 24th ruling and how to strategize the next steps in the fight against abortion. Hichborn made reference to a LifeSite news interview with the Thomas More Society. Here is the article, and embedded in that is the second clip.
The common thread in all these that I perceive is that while we have turned a corner with Roe's demise, we still have a struggle ahead of us, with many in power arrayed against us. Sadly, among our opponents are those wearing miters and even white vestments. We must continue to pray our Rosaries and beseech God's mercy.
Traditionis Custodes might well be renamed "Traitorous Custodians" for that is what the pope and his handlers are to the Sacred, God-given Traditions of the Church. No one who has the barest modicum of reading and comprehension ability can gainsay that TC reeks of animosity towards the Mass that has been the mainstay of thousands of saints, martyrs, Doctors of the Church. There is a saying that "as goes the Mass, so goes the world". Saint Padre Pio once said that it would be easier for the earth to survive without the sun than without the Mass.
We can see during these past few decades how civilization has been crumbling ever since Bugnini et al dared to tinker with the Mass. Michael Hichborn, president of Lepanto Institute, delves into some of the subterfuge of Bugnini and buddies that resulted in the vastly inferior Novus Ordo Mass; please read here. Their end game is the destruction of the Holy Mass.
But this Mass is of Divine origins, so ultimately the forces of evil cannot succeed. As more than a few of us did during the lockdowns, we may have to find this Mass done "off the radar", so to speak. Hundreds of years ago, Catholic Ireland faced the same dilemma. They took to the hills and offered Mass there. We may have to do the same as did our forefathers long ago. Our Lady of Fatima promised that in the end, her Immaculate Heart, and Our Lord, would triumph. Meanwhile, with Rosary in hand and hearing the Latin Mass wherever we can, we must stand firm.
Michael Hichborn of the Lepanto Institute released today a video that he produced, detailing how the Vatican, with the pope's participation, gave a platform to several avowed communist entities. Recall that previous pontiffs condemned socialism and communism in no uncertain terms. Please watch the video.
One thing I must emphasize are Hichborn's closing remarks. The message of Our Lady of Fatima must be heeded and obeyed at all costs. This coming weekend is both First Friday and First Saturday. Let's make sure that we pray our Rosaries daily.
Many of us have been discussing the links between satanism and abortion. Quite often we have been mocked by pro-abortion activists as conspiracy nuts for so doing. Well, here is irrefutable proof, from the horse's own mouth, so to speak.
Governor Abbott of Texas recently signed a bill requiring a sonogram before an abortion. A satanic temple has filed suit against Texas, claiming that this bill impedes a "religious abortion ritual". It is not every day that I link to a satanic site, but they are quite up front about this lawsuit, and more importantly, the role that abortion plays in their worship of the devil. All this serves to underscore why baby-slaughter must be eradicated and pro-abortionists - including those in Catholic church hierarchy - must be defeated.

If we recall the meetings that the pope had before Laudato Si was inflicted upon us, we will recall that he is all on board with the UN's Sustainable Development goals. The pope lends a facade of moral credibility to these Masonic goals. With President Trump gone, the progressives - and that includes the pope - have a more clear path towards the implementation of these goals. All this and more was just discussed on this evening's Anchor Team broadcast by the Lepanto Institute.
Michael Hichborn put out this video today with the title quoted in this post's title. With Jim Maughan, Hichborn delves into the pivotal role that Communist China has played in the attempted theft of the presidential election away from Donald Trump. As an aside, on the two pro-Trump marches that I've attended in Washington DC, I couldn't help but notice the presence of many Chinese people calling for the abolition of the Chinese Communist Party; this video gives me a greater appreciation of their reasons for attending the pro-Trump rallies.
Hichborn not only asks us to watch it, but to pass this along to others. We know that not only will the mainstream media try to stifle its message, but so will the progressives who occupy many of the chanceries in the US. Keep praying those daily Rosaries.
