Some Liberal Catholics Showing Their True Colors With Respect To Abortion

The recent revelations that Roe may finally be relegated to history's dung-heap seem to have rankled the feathers of Rebecca Bratten-Weiss, one time head of an organizational flop known as "New Pro-Life Movement".  I have written a bit about them in the past: see here, here, here.

Today she plopped this stinker on Twitter.

Just a reminder that some of Germany's most severe laws criminalizing abortion, which still exist today, were created by the Third Reich.

So now the mask is off and we see the erstwhile "New Pro Life Movement" for what it was - a sham.  I use the past tense because I see no current sign of the NPLM on the web.  

Any dalliance with liberalism by pro-life activists usually will have a diluting effect on their pro-life convictions, leading them to issue bird-brained statements such as you saw above or promoting pro-abortion political candidates.  Father James Altman has some things to say about this matter, also.

He said, among other things, that the "greatest tragedy in the Church is the ignorance of the laity".  That will be the subject of a post soon to follow this one.

 

More Proof That Liberalism Leads To Mortal Sin - Amended At Bottom

As faithful Catholics know, June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus - the Heart that was pierced with a lance after Jesus died on the cross.  Regrettably it is also the month in which gays hold parades in major cities, transforming the streets into venues for debauched orgies with all kinds of filthy perversions being celebrated.

Father James Martin, in the tweet below, shows his true colors by lauding public displays of mortal sin instead of calling the perpetrators to repentance and conversion.  I'm not surprised by this.  What caught my eye, though, is the tweet below that from Rebecca Bratten-Weiss, co-founder of the Non-Pro-Life Mutation.  She too believes that mortal sins of perversion should be publicly displayed so our society can continue to spiral down the sewer.  Below hers is my tweet; we'll see how long that stays on Martin's twitter page.  This is just another reason why this fake "New Pro-Life Movement" should be avoided like the plague that it is.  If there are any honest pro-life people still associated with that thing, get out now while you still have mental clarity left, lest you end up supporting baby-murder and sodomy.

I am happy to point out that Bishop Thomas Tobin (not to be confused with Joseph "nighty-night baby" Cardinal Tobin) put out a tweet reminding faithful Catholics that they are not to support the pride-orgies in any way, shape, fashion or form.  As you can imagine, he is receiving all kinds of vile comments.  Please go to that tweet and post supportive replies to him.  Now where are his brother bishops?  Bishop Strickland has supported him, but where, oh where, are the rest?

A reminder that Catholics should not support or attend LGBTQ “Pride Month” events held in June. They promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals. They are especially harmful for children.

SAD ADDENDUM: It appears that Bishop Tobin might be backpeddling on his tweet. Please read this from his diocesan site.  Look at the last paragraph.  How in hell can a rally to celebrate debauchery and sin ever be a "safe, positive and productive experience for all"????   Bishop Tobin, please put some calcium in your spine. Actually, I hope that this blurb is attributable to some diocesan employee who tampered with the diocesan site without the bishop's authorization.

Witchcraft In New Pro-Life Movement?

I've written before about the so-called "New Pro-life Movement" that I had redubbed the "Non Pro-Life Mutation".  It seems that my nickname is more accurate than I had originally imagined it could be.

Rebecca Bratten-Weiss is one of the co-founders of this group.  If you look at some of the articles (and related links) in the first link of this article, you'll see some expose on her.  However, even these don't reveal the true horror than what she herself wrote.  It was released a few days ago.  Just read the first sentence.  "wondering what I could burn as a sacrifice to Hecate"?  "Contemplating witchcraft"?  The rest of the article is quite revelatory.  But please have a strong stomach before reading it.

Mahound's Paradise and Austin Ruse have even more details of Weiss and some of her friends who may also be witches.

In light of these revelations, particularly the one that Weiss herself provided, I cannot see how any decent person, let alone a faithful Catholic, can associate with the New Pro Life Movement.  It should be avoided at all costs.

Is The So-Called "New Pro-Life Movement" Showing Its True Colors?

ChurchMilitant.com came across an open letter written to the president of Steubenville University that appears to be nothing more than a hit-piece screed aimed at some professors who blew the whistle on Rebecca Bratten Weiss several years ago during a Human Life Review symposium.  I needn't rehash the CM piece, but will point out that I too commented on Weiss's shortcomings at the time the symposium occurred.

Among other things it should be noted that NPLM is related to a similar outfit called Rehumanize International through a common board member, Aimee Murphy.  Rehumanize International is replete with its own moral issues arising from its seamless-garbage ideology, including the retention of a lesbian as a prominent staff member.

Ponder the revelations made by the CM piece and my earlier piece, to wit,

• The support of at least two of their leaders for Hillary Clinton during the presidential race
• Weiss's ambivalence regarding the babies' unalienable right to life

We see that the group calling itself "New Pro-Life Movement" is not pro-life.  We might well call them "Non Pro-Life Mutation".  They have no claim for respect whatsover among true pro-life people.  That underlined name suits them better.  Henceforth, that is what I shall call them.
