Maryland - Good News And Bad News

With the insidious plot by the Messiah Most Miserable to import thousands of his "best-buds" jihadist terrorists masquerading as "refuges", I thought that Maryland (where I live) would have a massive influx.  The fact is that Maryland, for many years, has been a progressive loony bin, politically and morally speaking.  Therefore you can imagine my delight when I heard the news that Governor Larry Hogan is opposed to bringing more of these people into Maryland.  At the time of this writing, about thirty states have made moves to block the importation of these folks into their states - and they have the constitutional authority to do so.  Hogan made this very key statement: "As governor of Maryland, the safety and security of Marylanders remains my first priority."  I have friends who will be reading this who state that "Jesus would welcome the stranger so we must do the same".  I will unpack the errors of that statement in a future post.

Now the bad news.

About 3-5 years ago, an abortionist named Steven Chase Brigham ran into legal trouble in Maryland, when he was found to be aborting illegally; one woman died as a result.  I wrote a bit about it.  To make a long story short, his various abortuaries in Maryland (one of them in Silver Spring) had to close.

Operation Rescue has broken the news that Brigham has reopened his Maryland abortuaries.  He is limiting his practice to medical abortions since licensing for that is less strict than for surgical abortions.  Still, he now poses a threat to women as well as a mortal danger to many babies.  Operation Rescue suggests contacting the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to get these places closed again.  Perhaps they may listen, since Joshua Sharfstein has left that agency.  Pray that Maryland shuts down all these hell-holes.  There is no excuse for reprobates like Brigham and Carhart to be slaughtering babies and maiming women in Maryland.

Abortionists Brigham And Riley Face More Consequences For Botching Abortions In Maryland - Why Not Carhart?

Abortionists Nicola Riley and Steven Chase Brigham face more legal woes in different states as those authorities take into considerations the botched abortion in Elkton MD and the scores of jars containing fetal remains.  Good for these other states.

One might wonder why, after his third certified chop-job on mothers in Germantown MD, how Leroy Carhart manages to keep his head above water.  Answer?  Friends in high places!  Boys and girls, can we say "Kathleen Sebelius"?  Thanks again to Operation Rescue, we have evidence.   Go down the page to the April 2008 dinner, with the dinner attendees.  You'll see both Sebelius and Carhart.  Could this be why Sharfstein seems to reluctant to zero in on Carhart?  It's a question worth asking, I daresay.

Three Maryland Abortuaries See Their Licenses Suspended

As a result of the letter written by seventeen members of the Maryland House of Delegates, officials at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (finally) started inspecting the abortuaries to whom they granted licenses.  Said Health Secretary Joshua Sharfstein to the Baltimore Sun, "the department is proceeding on the schedule it originally proposed, which called for issuing licenses in early 2013, followed by inspections. He said the system is working as it should."

So if I understand Mr. Sharfstein correctly, the "schedule" calls for issuance of licenses before ascertaining whether or not the facilities meet the standards prerequisite for those licenses?  Whatever happened to "safety for women"?  As far as "the system working as it should", that's utter bullcrap (pardon the "french" but sometimes delicacy must yield to accuracy), given not only Jennifer Morbelli's death in February, but that of another woman in Baltimore who died at another prematurely-licensed abortuary in Baltimore.  That woman died of cardiac arrest and it was discovered that the defibrillator on hand was non-functional - and the abortionist was not cpr-certified.

This second woman died at Associates in OB/GYN Care on North Calvert Street in Baltimore.  The Department suspended its license, as well as two other abortuaries that are also called Associates in OB/GYN Care; those locations are in Cheverly and Silver Spring.  Here is the website for the Silver Spring location.  Note that all three of these seem to be under the umbrella of American Women's Services.  This network is connected with Steven Chase Brigham.  Here is previously-published information about his chequered careeer.

This Silver Spring abortuary is at 9801 Georgia Avenue - the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Forest Glen Road.  Please note that this abortuary is not to be confused with Ob/Gyn Associates located at 1400 Forest Glen Road, the campus of Holy Cross Hospital.  The inversion of words in their names and their physical proximity can be confusing (deliberately so?).

Now let's see the Department get around to inspecting Germantown Reproductive Health Services and some of the other hell-holes.

Maryland News: Bad And Good

First I'll give the bad news.  It appears that State's Attorney Ellis Rollins (for Cecil County MD) dropped criminal murder charges against Steven Chase Brigham and Nicola Riley.  I've blogged on the sordid careers of these two baby-killers (put their names in the search box).  Operation Rescue has more on this.  Kinda makes one wonder what pressure was brought to bear on Mr. Rollins.

Now the good news.  In summer of 2008, several members of Defend Life's Face the Truth Tour underwent false arrests in Harford County, MD.  Eventually charges against all of them were dropped (almost right after the arrests, since they weren't even formulated at the time of the arrests).  Defend Life pursued justice, and now the Maryland Board of Public Works will be paying over $385,000 to the falsely-arrested pro-lifers.  Moreover, the Maryland State Police must implement a training program within 120 days to train its officers and employees in the meaning of the First and Fourth Amendments   Yes, there is justice, and the Bill of Rights still means something!

Another Baby-Killing Center Is Defunct!

Remember Steven Chase Brigham, the abortionist mogul whose Elkton operation was busted last year?   You might recall that some of his abortionist flunkies lost their licenses.  It looks like his baby-killing empire suffered another set-back.

Comes now the news from Operation Rescue that his baby-killing center in Erie PA was foreclosed by its business condo association.  Deo gratias!  That's one less threat to babies and moms in that locality.  May Brigham's empire continue to crumble; the more these places shut down, the more babies are saved.  Moreover, may Steven Chase Brigham come to repentance before he stands before God Almighty.

Maryland Abortionist Ordered to Cease And Desist

After eight months of "practicing medicine" without a license, Steven Chase Brigham has been ordered by the Maryland State Board of Physicians cease his practice of medicine, i.e., baby-murder.  He has five Maryland locations: Baltimore, Frederick, Cheverly, College Park, Elkton. 

Unfortunately, other abortionists staff these mills so they will remain open.  There will be one less menace to babies, though.
