Father Scott Nolan of St Stephen parish in the Diocese of Grand Rapids (MI) denied Holy Communion to an openly lesbian judge. The judge's name is Sara Smolenski and she is the chief judge of the Kent County District Court; she and her accomplice in perversion are pretending that they are "married" with the help of civil courts. Fr. Nolan advised her in private that she was living a sinful lifestyle. Still, she presented herself for Holy Communion. Father, in obedience to Canon 915, denied her Communion. Immediately Smolenski took to mainstream media to pout about the matter and to gin up opposition to Father Nolan simply because the latter acted like an actual Catholic priest.
Long-time readers of this blog will realize why this story immediately caught my eye. Over seven years ago in my own parish, just as Lent 2012 was getting underway, Father Guarnizo likewise denied Holy Communion to another flaming lesbian. One just has to go into this blog's archives circa March 2012 to get an idea of the situation. The mainstream media likewise jumped all over that story and it even caught international attention. The two situations are similar in many respects, but differ in one key, striking manner.
Reading through Fr Guarnizo's story, one will see that the Archdiocese of Washington acted immediately to evict Fr Guarnizo from the Archdiocese. I've no doubt that they would have suspended him as a priest, had it not been for the fact that he's incardinated in another diocese. While the situation was unfolding, I thought that the chancery's actions were simply the result of cowardice and wanting to toady to the politically correct and powerful. At the time, McCarrick was still a cardinal and bishop emeritus of the DC archdioecese, and Wuerl held the helm. Over the past few years, we've come to understand that McCarrick was himself a serial gay predator and that Wuerl was covering for him. Those revelations shine quite a different light on their attitude towards Fr Guarnizo. I think they ousted him because his presence and actions seared their own sick and guilty consciences.
Father Nolan is blessed to have the support of his bishop, Bishop David Walkowiak. He released a statement saying that Father Nolan acted correctly. He stated that while the Church accepts its members, that it expects of its members adherence to the Church's teachings. He did so by quoting (of all things) Amoris Laetitia.
NEEDED ACTIONS
Here is the contact information for the parish. Please call and/or email Father to express support. You can bet your bottom dollar that the gay nazis are out in force against him, just as they drew their long knives against Father Guarnizo seven years ago. Here is the diocese's contact information, along with their statement regarding Father Nolan. Thank Bishop Walkowiak for supporting his priest.
In addition to voicing support for both Father Nolan and Bishop Walkowiak, there is other action that we as the Church Militant must take. It seems that this broad Smolenski has had her long knives pointed at Father Nolan previously. From LifeSiteNews we read that she tried to get Father ousted as chaplain for the Catholic Lawyers' Association of Western Michigan. When those in mortal sin refuse to repent of said sins, they hate with a passion anyone who dares to suggest that they need to repent. They think that by hurting the truth-tellers that they can justify their filth and perversion. Witness how the murderers of St Stephen the First Martyr covered their ears as he spoke.
Here is the website for the district courthouse in which she sits as judge. I for one think it highly unethical that she is using her public position as a platform from which she can launch her attacks against a Catholic priest who was acting according to his responsibilities. Of course be polite but also be firm. For her own good, we cannot allow her attacks to go on without any rebuke to her.

To Prevent Indiana Knights Of Columbus From Facilitating Mortal Sin..
Last week I posted on the disgrace in which the Knights of Columbus council in Madison Indian will heap upon itself UNLESS they rediscover their Catholic identity. In addition to our prayers, they will need some words of advise, correction and even rebuke. Their superiors need to be advised.
I post now a link to a pdf of a flyer that I'm distributing. On it are various individuals whom I've identified as people who can effect change of plans at that council. The flyer can be downloaded and then printed and/or shared among your own circles. Please do so . Please contact these individuals. Perhaps we can prevent this travesty. Thank you.

Indiana Knights Of Columbus Council To Rent Hall To Lesbians - ACTION NEEDED
Today's Pewsitter pointed to a ThinkProgress article that revealed an impending scandal in which a Knights of Columbus council in Madison Indiana plans to participate. It seems that a lesbian couple approached KofC Council #934 last September and solicited their ballroom for their debauchery celebration (I refuse to call it a "wedding reception") to be held on April 18, 2015. The couple did render a deposit at that time.
At first, I found it hard to believe since ThinkProgress is unabashedly progressive. Because they alluded to a Facebook page operated by the KoC council, I called it up. Regrettably the ThinkProgress article is factually correct, as corroborated by the KofC Facebook page. See the sorry spectacle here, the two posts dated yesterday. (UPDATE - Council #934 removed their page from public view. See this post for some of the posts/comments that were archived.) As you read through the comments, you'll see plenty of gay activist trolls vomiting forth their mental and spiritual poison. I congratulate and applaud those commenters who are upholding Church teaching thereon. Oh, by the way! Should those two posts "mysteriously disappear" or the Facebook page cease to be public, please advise for I saved screen shots of those posts with their comments (to date).
A few days ago the Council contacted the couple and stated that they could not rent their facilities to them as this celebration contradicted church teaching, and that the deposit would be refunded. Apparently an uproar ensued, no doubt ginned up by gay activists. The council's response? In conduct unbecoming of Catholics, they caved. As of now, they will allow the reception to occur on their premises. Moreover, the council says they won't charge a fee at all, owing to the "confusion".
There is confusion - moral confusion, that is.

There is confusion - moral confusion, that is.
- First, when they were first approached by the lesbians, why did the council accept the deposit as though they should seriously consider the matter? No consideration was needed as they were being asked to cooperate with mortal sin. The couple's request - and deposit - should have been immediately refused.
- Does this council understand that formal and material cooperation with mortal sin is itself a mortal sin?
- Where is the KofC chaplain in all this? Is he complicit in this sinful conduct? I speak here of the conduct of the KofC council here.
- The council plans to let the couple use the hall with no charge. That means that every dues-paying member of that council is subsidizing this celebration of perversion against their will.
We need to take action to stop this travesty. Some can be done by anyone regardless of location. Here are suggested steps.
- Contact the Grand Knight of that council. His information can be found here. The address of the council is here.
- This council is located within the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, headed by Archbishop Joseph Tobin. His contact information is here. Please ask him to have this thing cancelled.
- I'm sure this has occurred to members of that council who are rightly disappointed with their leadership. They may wish to withdraw from that council and affiliate themselves with another if their leaders don't abide by their Catholic faith.
- Perhaps other Knights, particularly those in leadership roles, may wish to discuss with their brother knights in council 934 the errors of their ways.
This thing is still 3.5 months away - plenty of time to prevent profanation of Catholic property IF we act now. We hold these two very confused young women in prayer that they'll see the error of their lifestyle. But even if they don't, there's no valid reason for the Knights of Columbus Council 934 of Madison Indiana to cooperate formally and materially with their mortal sin.

When One Flouts God's Laws...
One often suffers consequences - particularly when those laws involve His order for family life. In Kansas, a lesbian couple wanted to have "their own child" - biological child, that is. Well, the Laws of Nature and Nature's God dictate (progressives, go get pen and paper and take notes, ok?) that:
- It takes one man and one woman (not transgenders, by the way) to make a baby. Remember Biology 101 before the "politically correct" days?
- Nothing else will work.
They advertised on Craigslist for a sperm donor. I didn't realize that Craigslist was the "go-to" place for fathers for one's children; the things we learn - but I digress! Anyway, they found a guy who was willing to be the accomplice to their ill-conceived stunt; even his wife went along with it. He was so altruistic that he decided to forego the "fee for services".
Shortly after the little girl was born, the lesbians went their separate ways and the one who was the biological mother lost her job. To make a long story short (but you can read the WFF link) she and the state of Kansas are pursuing the sperm donor for child support. They have come to the logical conclusion (albeit in a convoluted manner) that the donor is the father of the little girl. He alleges that he isn't; but he is the male half of the source of that child's existence - so he's a daddy!
He whines "no good deed goes unpunished". That's irrelevant in this case, for his "donor" deed was anything but good. It's his sin that is being punished. Of course the individual who is really suffering unjustly is the little girl herself. She (and others like her) knows that her daddy doesn't give a damn about her. Who knows? Maybe he'll wake up and try to be some kind of father to her.
If nothing else, let this serve as a lesson to any potential "donors". You may get burned like this guy is now - and if you don't heed the warning, you could get burned in eternity. Please - respect Nature and Nature's God.

More Info On Lesbian Refused Holy Communion At St John Neumann
First, thanks to Tom Peters of Catholic Vote for this information. He did the due diligence research on this that should have been done by the Archdiocese of Washington before Cardinal Wuerl and Bishop Knestout inserted their feet into their mouths with the apology that I analyzed yesterday.
It seems Ms Johnson dismissed her Catholic heritage not only for her lesbian lifestyle, but also for Buddhism. I needn't rehash all of Mr. Peter's piece here. Suffice it to say that this little tidbit certainly does lend credence to the theory that Johnson had an agenda and had in mind to set up Father Guarnizo for this firestorm. Shame on the shills in the DC Chancery for playing along with this scheme.

Two Blog Posts Regarding Father Guarnizo's Situation
Catholics online are coming to Father Guarnizo's defense - both against the venomous progressive sites that act as water-boys for the gays, and against the feckless bureaucrats of the DC chancery.
V for Victory has an excellent piece entitled "The Persecution of Father Guarnizo". In it, she states why she believes that the analysis provided by canon lawyer Ed Peters is remiss in considering key facts. Read for yourselves.
I also commend to your reading the opinion of Judie Brown, president of American Life League, on this matter. I join her in denouncing the regrettable "apology" issued by Bishop Knestout (with the approval, if not direction, of Cardinal Wuerl).
I will soon release my analysis (for what it's worth) of the very flawed "apology".

Washington Post: Statement From Archdiocese On Holy Communion
Father William Byrne is Archdiocesan Secretary for Pastoral Ministry and Social Concerns. Today the Washington Post published a statement of his regarding the importance of Holy Communion to Catholics. I commend its reading to you.
A statement from that article, relevant to the situation at St John Neumann last weekend is "The priest has an obligation to make sure that the sacraments are respected, and any person who obstinately perseveres in manifest grave sin is not to be admitted to Holy Communion. Ideally, the priest will handle such a situation pastorally by discussing the consequences of such sin with the person privately before actually denying them Communion." Two questions:

Ideally, the priest will handle such a situation pastorally by discussing the consequences of such sin with the person privately before actually denying them Communion." Two questions:
- Did the daughter "obstinately persevere in manifest grave sin"? Consider: she introduced herself and the other woman to Father as "lovers". She certainly had no bones about letting Father know her "orientation" in a most up-front manner.
- Did Father have the opportunity to "handle the situation pastorally and privately"? I suspect he would have wanted to do so, but they hurried away before he had opportunity. Now consider that the daughter had been a long-time Catholic school teacher; that being said, how could she not have known that homosexual conduct is mortally sinful? Having lacked such opportunity, Father did what he had to do when he was deliberately set between a rock and a hard place. He did not want to facilitate the woman's mortal sin of sacrilegious Holy Communion (which would have been sinful for him) and he wanted to protect the Eucharist from being treated disrespectfully.
I thank Father Byrne for writing this and the Post for publishing it. These statements make plain that Father Marcel Guarnizo was only fulfilling his duties as a Catholic priest and that the apology issued by Bishop Knestout is a lamentable farce.
