Catholic Standard Watch - Celebrating Pronoun Confusion At Stone Ridge In Bethesda

The latest issue of the Catholic Standard is out, and they are celebrating a "Stone Ridge legend".  That "legend" is Sister Anne Dyer, a longtime former principal of the school.  She gave the commencement address on June 8, exhorting the graduates to "reflect the goals of Sacred Heart education in their lives".  She and the staff are of the order known as the Society of the Sacred Heart.

Doesn't that sound like a lovely goal to which the graduates should aspire?  Not so fast.  Sister Dyer was headmistress when a number of us tried to get canceled their choice of commencement speaker - Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, who was at that time Lieutenant Governor of Maryland.  Like most of the Kennedys, she is a rabid pro-abort.  We returned next year to picket Sandra Day O'Connor, then-retired Supreme Court Justice, who made her pro-abortion proclivities well known, too.  Since then, they kept their choices of commencement speakers under wraps, leading me to suspect that they too held positions contrary to Church teachings.

Getting back to the June 8 address, Sr. Dyer said that the five goals of a Sacred Heart education are "faith, intellect, social action, community and growth".  However, she later let loose with a doozy regarding the transgender pronoun gobblygoop, contradicting all those lovely goals that she had enumerated.  I'm going to copy and paste it straight from the Standard web page.

The first question Sister Dyer posed to the graduates was, “How do you identify?”

She said that when asked that question today, people might be thinking, “What are my pronouns?”

“That’s only a little bit of who you are… It doesn’t matter what your pronouns are.  That’s who you are. God loves you that way, and I love you that way,” she said.

End quote.  Yes she really said that.  FULL STOP!  If her students are graduating, thinking that they don't need to conform with God's design for them as women, she and her staff have done an abysmal job when it comes to Catholic education.  If the students were hoodwinked into believing that they can monkey around with their genders, those five goals of Sacred Heart education were flushed down the toilet by these Sacred Heart sisters.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is but one example of the spiritual, moral and intellectual malaise that now grips Holy Mother Church.

Pro-Lifers, Be Careful With Whom You Strike Hands

Nellie Gray, founder and late president of March for Life, was very careful when it came to speakers for the rally on the Ellipse preceding the March.  I never knew her to allow gay rights activists, feminists, atheists, etc to share that platform.  At one time I questioned why she was reluctant to allow those organizations to be recognized, although she could not have prevented them from walking in our crowd.  I now understand her wisdom.

My colleague Vic Biorseth penned a piece yesterday, to which I will now link.  I won't address the entire post, but will copy and paste one section that is relevant to my discussion.

"If you are anywhere near our age, your parents and your pastors probably told you to be careful about the friends you make, with the warning that you will become your friends, so choose them wisely. 

"Remember how many times we have said that, if you ever allow Satan to get on the cultural bus, he will wind up in the driver's seat? Remember? Go back through these pages and count them up. I hate to say I told you so, but - I told you so. 

"Satan is now driving the American cultural bus, and he is beginning to throw us off. He's the driver, after all. He's in charge now. 

"Do you begin to see the reason for keeping apart from evildoers?  Do you see the evil intentions of 'multiculturalism', 'diversity' and 'inclusiveness'?"

I will now post to a link from LifeSiteNews, written last December, that develops these points in relation to the pro-life movement.  He uses as a "case-in-point" a woman who was named Rosemary Geraghty, but who now calls herself Herb Geraghty.  As you can see from the LifeSite article, she shills incessantly to normalize LGTBQ(your choice of additional letters) people - in other words, sexually perverted behavior.

What she, and too many others, refuse to acknowledge is that same-sex sexual activity is its own sin against God's teachings on life, family, sexuality.  Now many of them are atheists, so that's its own can of worms.

Lately Geraghty and other like-minded individuals have been standing alongside pro-life people against abortion.  Such associations, unless one is careful, are laden with booby-traps.  The pro-lifers in these situations must be very careful not to affirm the mortally sinful behavior of these associates.  They must not:

• Use pronouns not in conformity with biological sex
• Overlook sexual sins
• Attend events in morally questionable venues (such as the Catholic Worker building)
• Be reluctant to work against socialism, gay agenda, no matter the proclivities of other anti-abortion individuals
• Be on the board of directors of these dubious allies or let them be on your boards

If any of these behaviors happen, they will give the appearance that pro-life people are throwing in their lots with those who violate God's commandments in other ways besides baby-murder.  Moreover, the pro-lifer who risks such volatile alliances, unless he or she is firmly grounded in traditional philosophy and theology, risks being deceived into buying their sinful agendas.  Again, pro-lifers must be very judicious regarding the folks whom they take into their confidence.

Pope Francis Flunked Biology 101

 Today the pope broadcast his accolades for a nun in Argentina for opening a home for "trans-women".  I put that in quotes for "trans-women" are really males who dress like women and insist that those surrounding them humor them in their charade.  Many of them have even had their male organs removed and take female hormone pills in a deliberate attempt to mutilate their masculine natures.  We don't need to guess at their motives to understand that their actions are inherently sinful.

The nun, Sister Monica Astorga Cremona, had a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for the apartments in which these males and their partners will live.  That's right.  She is directly facilitating homosexual perversion.  Far from being a laudible action, this constitutes formal and material cooperation with mortal sin - which is its own mortal sin.

In his praise of Sister's endeavor, the pope himself cooperated with that sin by referring to these males as "the girls".  The Vicar of Christ confirmed both the males (I won't call them "men" for real men don't carry on like that) and Sister in their mortal sins while at the same time denying simple biological facts.

We have yet another reason to pray our Rosaries daily.

Pope Francis Adopts Language Of Perversion

The above scandal happened during yet another in-flight interview yesterday.  From LifeSiteNews we read that reminisced about an audience he held with two lesbians.  I reported on that here.  One of the women mutilated herself with both surgery and hormones to give herself a more masculine appearance.  In that blog post I opined that we did not know the Vatican's account of what occurred during that audience.  During that plane ride yesterday, we were apprised of it and sadly it does corroborate what the two lesbians said.

As mentioned, the woman legally changed her name to "Diego".  I will refer to her as that since I don't know what her given name is.  However, I will refer to her as she actually is - female.  Anything else would be completely dishonest and beholden to the demons of political correctness.

The pope, though, insists on condoning and conforming to that demonic linguistic deception.  He refers to Diego as "he".  The pope even said that Diego and her partner in perversion got "married".  Of course they didn't, pretenses notwithstanding.  States Pope Francis regarding Diego: "He wrote me a letter saying that, for him, it would be a consolation to come [see me] with his wife. I received them and they were very happy," Pope Francis added. Clarifying his use of pronouns, the pope said, "He that was her but is he."

I could spend paragraphs unpacking this mess.  We literally have to start with the first word for Diego is not a "he" but a "she".  I think the pope tries to cover over his blunder with the sorry excuse for a pronoun clarification (the underlined quote) but flubs that badly.  "Was her"?  Nope!  She still is a "her" and never, ever will be a man.  That is NOT how God created her and to acquiesce to that demonic language is to stick a finger in the eye of God Himself who created Diego as a woman.  Think of the audacity of contradicting God's will to accommodate perverted caprices; that is what the Pope has done in his selection of language: including that so-called "clarification"!

Let that last part sink in, if you will.  In adopting this very faulty language, the Vicar of Christ is in fact contradicting God Himself who created Diego and positively willed that she be referred to as a woman.  I don't know about this bishop "accompanying" this woman, but it sure seems like this bishop and this pope are accompanying the woman - as they walk far from God, His Church and straight towards hell, barring their conversions to the One True Faith.

Obama's Imperious And Immoral Blackmailing On Behalf Of Transgender Perverts

The Messiah Most Miserable has today issued a threat to all US public schools, stating that if they don't immediately do obeisance to "transgender" students and allow them to sashay into any restroom of their choosing, that they stand to lose federal funding.  As you can see from the article, Obama's Minions Most Mindless are chiming in,  This travesty will be formalized by a 25-page screed that will most likely dictate that students must be brainwashed via "gender identity" classes.

Not all local governments are being cowed into subservience.  In addition to North Carolina's ongoing battle with federal tyranny, the State of Texas has told the Obamanista regime to shove their dictates "where the sun don't shine" (my quote).  Governor Greg Abbot released a tweet to remind Dear Leader that he is not a king (a reminder sorely needed).  One school superintendent took the truth a step further to point out that Obama "is a failure".  To that I can only add "amen".

Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick pointed out that the federal money that Obama threatens to withhold is used for school breakfast and lunch programs.  Therefore, Obama has no bones about taking those programs away.  For all the kvetching that these progressives do about us conservatives "not caring about the children", we can now see their utter hypocrisy in so doing.  They're just using the children as props to further their progressive agenda - and are quite ready to cast them aside when they decide to shift their focus a bit.

It remains to be seen as to how the US bishops will respond to this dictate from Obama.  In regards to the North Carolina situation, Bishop Michael Burbidge of North Carolina seems to be reneging on his support of HB2.  Now why is that?  Did the USCCB lean on him to dial back his support for decency?  If so, would the USCCB have been "motivated" along the same lines as Obama is trying to use?  Lots of federal money does flow into various Church agencies (CRS, for example) - probably enough to buy silence and passivity in the face of moral depravity.  Lt. Governor Patrick said that Obama could "keep his 30 pieces of silver".  It's way past time for the US bishops to take that kind of bold, moral stand against federal thugs and bullies.

In case anyone thinks that the bathroom matter is "much ado about nothing", here's a little "nothing" that will become more and more common (already is) as long as we give perverts free rein to violate the privacy and safety of women.

Pope Meets With Lesbian Couple - To What Purpose?

By now you've probably heard that the Pope met with two lesbians on Saturday January 24 in Vatican City.  One of them calls herself a "transgender man", having mutilated her body to resemble one.  She calls herself "Diego".  As she probably did legally change her name, I'll call her that.  However, I will NOT use masculine pronouns as I refer to Diego, as I refuse to acquiesce to her lies.

It seems that she felt rejected by her parish after she commenced the mutilation procedure and complained to the pope via letter.  After some back-and-forth, Diego and her partner in perversion traveled to the Vatican and met with the pope.  While the pope and his office are mum on the details and proceedings of that meeting, Diego isn't.  Her version of it is that the pope was accepting of their perversions and even went so far as to say to her "of course you are a son of the church."

Now we haven't heard corroboration from the Vatican on this.  It could well be that Diego is flat out lying about that statement.  I certainly hope so, simply because Diego is not a "son of the church" but rather a daughter of the church.

Father Peter Carota, who writes the "Traditional Catholic Priest" blog, noticed some interesting parallels in some situations where the pope contacts those who consider themselves "marginalized" because of their ongoing sinful lives.  As you read this, think of his encounter with the Argentine woman married to the divorced man; the pope told her it was fine for her to receive Holy Communion while living in de facto adultery. These people feel uncomfortable in their local churches, precisely because they are being confronted with their deadly sins.  They whine and somehow their complaints are heard by the Vatican.  In reply, the pope offers them some very public "compassion.  As Father says, this compassion is misplaced for it does not correct the sin that will cause eternal damnation.

Again, we don't know the Vatican's version of what happened during that meeting, and we might well never know.  However, we are not completely in the dark about what happened, for even though the women might be lying we can glean a lot from the nature of what they say, be it ever so true or false.
Sometime ago it was explained to me that when truth is proclaimed plainly and properly, the reactions of the hearers will fall into two general categories. In one category will be those who are convicted of sin and who thus repent. The other category are those who won't repent, and they'll make very plain that they hate what they heard. The reactions of those women fall into neither category as they both had very positive things to say about their encounter as they continue to carry out their perverted lifestyles.  They even plan to "get married".  In short, their reactions are those who did not hear unambiguous truth and who were not the recipients of the First Spiritual Work of Mercy: that is, "rebuke the sinner".

We need to pray for those women, that they be delivered from the path that seems to be taking them to eternal hell.  We need to pray that our shepherds, including the Chief Shepherd in the Vatican, start taking their sacred duties seriously.
