The Priorities Of Some Bishops

There's no gainsaying that much in the world is crumbling before our very eyes, most of it due to the sinister intents of very powerful - and evil - progressives.
  • The throwing of Afghanistan under the bus.  Thousands of US citizens are still in danger, the Christians there are starting to be butchered by the now-dominant Taliban, and much US military hardware, weaponry and software is in Taliban hands.  A plausible theory is that this hand-over was not a colossal blunder but a very deliberated betrayal.
  • The ever-growing calls for mandated vaccinations with compounds made with the bodies of aborted babies, causing harm and death to recipients.  Democrat strongholds are rattling the sabers of martial law to force submission, setting the stage for the great reset.
One might think the Catholic bishops would be voicing great concern about these matters - if one didn't realize that most of the progressive cabal are actually tightening the nooses around our necks.  As long as cash flows into their coffers, they are happy as clams and free to pursue their other pet projects - with these projects actually being the furtherance of other aspects of the great reset.

For instance, there is my own bishop, Cardinal Gregory of the Archdiocese of Washington.  With the deconstruction of western civilization well under way, his thoughts can now lightly turn to (drum roll, please) caring for creation!  Yep!  He's trying to promote an "integral ecology" for parishes, schools, etc.
They will be engaged in crucial efforts such as:
  • caulking doors and windows
  • controlling thermostats
  • using LED bulbs
  • ad infinitem, ad nauseum
They want to respond to the "cry of the earth", you see?  Well, what about the cry of souls who need the Faith and Sacraments for the salvation of their souls?  Is that a tad too "rigid" for the DC chancery?

Speaking of "rigid", let's move on to the Bishop of Pittsburgh, Bishop Zubik.  He is all gung-ho about implementing Traditionis Custodes, more accurately rendered Traitorous Custodes.  He has gone so far as to forbid his priests from praying the Traditional Latin Mass privately.  This is nothing short of sheer hatred for the Church and her sacred Traditions.  The sheer vindictiveness and pettiness is astounding.  If this is one diocese that needs to see a huge curtailment of donations, this would be a solid candidate for such treatment.

In fact, both of them are.

Marshall: Freemasons Praise Pope Francis

The document to which Marshall refers, that is the occasion for the acolades from the Masons, is the "Document On Human Fraternity And Living Together" that Pope Francis signed with an Islamic leader last year.  That link takes you to the document as published on the Vatican's website.  A little more than halfway down is the statement "the diversity of religions..are willed by God".  Anyone involved in the crafting, signing and promulgation of this document, containing this heresy, has committed the sin of idolatry.  Given the work and deliberation that went into this mess, we must consider that the conditionf for mortal sin are present.

The "new world order" and the "one religion" goals are desired by Masons.  Marshall cites the Catholic faith as an obstacle to these goals.  He doesn't mention another obstacle that the Masons might wish to eliminate - the United States.  Oh, yes, many in high places are masons, but the bulk of ordinary citizens are not.  Even though they have been largely corrupted by sins of excess and impurity, there remains just enough sense of history that must be neutralized.  Hence we see, during this corona panic, the undermining of constitutional rule of law and the brainwashing of the populace into blindly accepting the dictates of whoever happens to be holding political office.  They have already succeeded to a large extent, but not completely yet.  The shuttering of churches, economic and social lives is part and parcel of the attempt to extinguish the sense of who we are as a nation.  This scenario is being repeated in most of the countries that comprise western civilization.  We have been divorced from our own spiritual and civic heritage.  When - if - we emerge from this, we have much damage control to accomplish - both in learning our national traditions but more importantly in rediscovering what Our Lord require of us and His Church.

Again, to establish the New World Order, its would-be architects understand that western civilization, with its Christian underpinnings, must be obliterated.  Even some honest atheiests understand the unbreakable link between western civiliation and Christianity.  More and more of them are beginning to understand that if Christianity is marginalized, the moral underpinnings behind civilization will likewise vanish, leaving behind a resurence of barbarism and anarchy in its wake. As you read that, notice they had no praise at all for Islam.  Unless Pope Francis is a complete idiot - and I don't believe he is - he is aware and complicit in all this.  It's interesting that the pope fancies himself to be modeled after St Francis.  However, the five Franciscan protomartyrs were martyred for preaching Christianity to Muslims.  They must be aghast at the pope's capitulation to the Muslins with the document cited above.

The masks are falling off the perpetrators.  But are the scales falling off enough eyes?

The Placid And Comfortable Lack The Will To Survive And Protect The Church

Last week President Trump gave an address to the people of Poland.  In that speech he uttered a key statement: "The fundamental question of our time is whether the west has the will to survive".  While the president went on to answer in the affirmative, many of us aren't so certain whether that will exists.   A website called The Trumpet analyzed these presidential remarks and I think in many ways they are spot-on.

We as a nation are quite lethargic when it comes to protecting our culture for we are besotted by sin and rejection of God.  That rejection of God and exaltation of sin has become more and more ensconced in our legal and societal framework during these past few decades whereas in the early part of our nation's history, laws and customs at least gave perfunctory lip service to God and Christian values.  We know that one key effect of sin on the one committing it is that their intellect is darkened and their will is weakened.

The weakening of the will and draining of the will to survive was evident even in Old Testament history.  We can read in the books of Kings how King David, after his adultery with Bathsheba and murder of her husband Uriah, surrendered control over his own family.  Thus he was lethargic when his son raped his daughter and was murdered by another son who would go on to almost overthrow David himself.  Moving onto the Book of Judges we see how Samson was undone by his dalliance with Delilah.  The loss of will to survive has been evident almost from the start of human existence.

Not only in the arena of civil governance do we see this creeping lethargy, but also among the ranks of many Catholics.  For the sake of this post, I'm focusing on Catholics who exhibit a modicum of fidelity to the Faith by attending Mass and doing many good and charitable things within the context of their parishes.  However, when it comes to facing real threats from within the Church leadership they reflexively turn blind eyes and deaf ears to the facts that are slapping them in the face.

This deliberate blindness and deafness is magnified even more when it comes to the ever-increasing number of misbehaviors by this current pope.  I've commented about this before and now link to a LifeSiteNews article that's a few months old but still quite relevant.  Anna Silvas, who is being interviewed in that article, postulates that an "affective papalism" might be a big cause of their blindness.  That could well be a large part of the problem.  An inordinate desire for a "simplistic Catholic faith" and the overvaluing of emotions and sentiments are also factors.  When she states that Catholics who sound the alarm are berated, I can affirm that with my own experiences of being chided for being "dour" and "hateful", etc.

I now suggest that the seeking of the "simplistic" and "experiential" are inherently sinful for they involve willful (if somewhat reflexive) rejection of objective truth.  Such embrace of a subtly sinful mindset will also dull the intellect, weaken the will and diminish the will to survive as Catholics.

So now I ask this question: do the readers of this blog have the will to see our Church survive for the sake of their own souls and those whom they love?  Will they resist the insipid calls to "lighten up" and be willing not only to pray but to take decisive action if threats should present themselves?  See hereherehere, and here.  When (not "if" but "when") attacks present themselves, will we be ready to act?  Will we, as a Church, have the will to survive?

Is The Pope Hell-Bent On The Death Of Western Civilization?

I don't have to rehash the sad account of Father Jacques Hamel, the French priest who was murdered by Islamic terrorists.  He was beheaded while saying Mass in his parish Church.  I will point out that the French, over the past few years, have literally opened their borders indiscriminately to thousands of middle east "refugees", among them Islamic terrorists.

The pope commented on the murder as he was flying to Poland.  Yes, it is another plane interview with its own slew of inanities.  He correctly stated that it's a war, but then went on to opine that "all religions seek peace" and then started on a "war of interests, money" etc.  He is exactly incorrect when he said that the murder of Father Hamel had nothing to do with religion.  In fact, the two murderers were affiliated with the Islamic State and were engaged in Islamic rituals during the beheading.  In fact, terrorists consider beheading to be mandated by the quran.  Yet the pope tries to reduce the motivations for such barbarism to be "money and interests".  Consider how he reduces the motivations to materialistic advantage.  Is that not rather symptomatic of a progressive and even socialistic mindset?

Last week LifeSiteNews gave us a glimpse into a book written by Cardinal Burke.  He addresses a variety of topics in that book, including the encroachment of Islam.  He states - correctly so, I might add - that Islam is, because of its own creeds, inherently unable to coexist peacefully with other religions (think about that when you see those silly "coexist" bumper strips on cars).  He said that it's important to understand the differences between Islam and Christianity.  I might add that one key difference is, contrary to liberal pipe-dreams, Muslims worship a false idol, not the One True God.  He said that Islam, according to its own doctrine, must also become the state.  Look at Dearborn Michigan.  We need to wake up, both to Islam and the threats of unbridled and illegal immigration.

The LifeSiteNews piece also mentions the warnings of Cardinal Sarah uttered last year about the dangers of Islam.  In the wake of Father Hamel's murder, Cardinal Sarah issued another warning as he asked how many decapitations would it take for European leaders to realize the situation in which the West finds itself.

Other clergy are sounding the alarm as well.  Father George Rutler, a priest from the Hell's Kitchen area of New York City, wrote of the destructive influence of pacifism and called on the west to wake up.   Sadly some refuse to acknowledge the truth.  Following the progressive scripts to perfection, Bishop Daniel Flores of Brownsville TX likened the deportation of illegal immigrants to abortion.  In other words, he reduced the victims of abortion to political props to justify his progressive proclivities.  Conveniently he forgets that several of the 9/11 terrorists waltzed across the border like so many others.  How many more of these do we now have in the U.S.?

When will our bishops and yes, pope, man up and face the fact that Islam is opposed to Christianity and stop coddling it?

Catholic Church = Sole Hope Of The World

However, the Church is not living up to her responsibilities - and its shepherds, e.g., bishops, bear the main responsibility.  Many of them have stood by while heresy and corruption and immorality have wrecked havoc amongst their flocks - and some have outright facilitated the mess!  For a small sampling of the savaging that the Church undergoes today - both from within and without - just look at the two preceding posts.  This whole blog, and those listed on the right bar, also expose much that is amiss.
