Fox News Conservatism - Caveat Emptor!

Before we review today's Vortex, I've noticed a while ago what Voris broaches in this broadcast.  While Fox News may be better than some other outlets, but they too must be taken with grains of salt.  For that matter, we must always examine all inputs with the filter of the teachings of the Church.

Bret Baier On Kermit Gosnell

Yesterday Bret Baier of Fox News did a special report on Kermit Gosnell, the butcher of Philadelphia.  Actually, Gosnell is not THE butcher, but just one whose sloppiness and murder trial has placed him in prominence.  All abortionists are butchers, when you get right down to it.

The "youtube" is up and I'll post it below.  In many ways, it's an indictment on the State of Pennsylvania (particularly the Health Department) as much as it is on Gosnell himself.  Hint: the State of Maryland may want to sit up and take notice regarding its own conduct (or lack thereof) in its handling of the Leroy Carhart situation.

UPDATE - I see the video below has been pulled.  Please go here to see the same thing; please note that the video is now divided into five parts so you'll need to be careful to select them in proper order.

Michigan A Right To Work State

All the libs and progressives wail and whine on and on about "big business", etc.  But what about "big labor"?  At one time unions served a vital function - and they may still do some good.  But if you want to see proof positive that unions have gotten "too big for their britches" and have in many ways turned into thugs, here's some clips of union thuggery in Michigan that I suspect won't be considered "newsworthy" by the "lame-brain-main-stream" media.

Benghazi-Gate

I haven't posted on that sorry and tragic debacle.  As details emerge, it becomes increasingly clear that Obama and his minions had ample warning that trouble was brewing in Libya.  The embassy requested aide and protection; their pleas were ignored.  We see here a skeletal timeline of events.

Inhabiting the Oval Office is a man-child who, at most, has some "community-organizing" experience of which he can boast.  Much has been made of his gadding about in a helicopter over areas stricken by Hurricane Sandy and how "presidential he looked".  Well, be that as it may, Obama was not "presidential" when it counted.  It clearly appears that he sucked his thumb instead of "acting presidential" and as a result, four American lives were lost when there was ample time to send assistance.  It now appears that assistance was requested - and denied.  Today Fox News released details of a cable sent by the consulate to the Department of State about surrounding activities in Libya and that it would never withstand any "coordinated attack".

I will link to a four-part youtube series put out by Fox News (Towards the end of each part will be a green link to the next; click on that to get to the next video in the series.)  In the first part, former UN ambassador John Bolton puts forth a hypothesis why security in Libya was reduced - because to keep heightened security there would have contradicted the Obama administration's claim to success in stabilizing that region (at 10:25 mark. John Sunonu states the same theory in part 3 at the 4:53 mark.

We now have reports that US drones were flying overhead during part of the attack, transmitting images to military personnel.  Why did't they act?  Were they restrained by Washington?

In November, we must send the man-child known as Barack Hussein Obama packing and put some adults in charge of the White House.

Atheist Hate Speech Gets Its Comeuppance From Fox News!

I wrote several days ago about the Nativity scene in Athens Texas and the atheistic Freedom From Religion Foundation.

The Blaze on Fox News attempted to interview Dan Barker, a spokesman from the FFRF.  As he spoke with the Blaze's Eric Bolling, he just couldn't contain his atheistic vitriol, constantly calling the Christian faith "insulting", etc.  But why believe my account?  Watch it for yourselves.

Most (but not all, I know) readers of this blog will appreciate the way that Bolling put a stop to Barker's diatribe.  I applaud Bolling for taking a stand and for serving notice on behalf of us all that we will not suffer insults to our faith and to our God in silence.

The Entire Dolan Interview On Fox News

To answer a commenter's question about the context of Archbishop Dolan's "whatever" remarks about God, here is the entire interview from Fox News.  http://video.foxnews.com/v/4433547/is-superman-catholic.  I think it's clear that the Vortex did not take anything out of context.  That segment seems short because it was short.  I will say this though, as the Archbishop spoke about parochial schools, he made some very pertinent points about them being under local control and being subject to parental accountability - of course they're now closing right and left around the DC area.  He made a point of stating that the statistics show the superior results of parochial schools not only to public schools, but these so-called "charter schools".  In the DC area, many parish schools have been turned over to DC and are now charter schools.  In other words, education in DC is going downhill very quickly.

I wouldn't classify Fox News with the rest of mainstream media.  By the latter I mean ABC, NBC, CBS who seem to tow the progressive party line.  Fox News does not, to the undisguised chagrin of the Messiah Most Miserable.

Obama - Treating Prolifers And Conservatives As Public Enemies

This is a two-part post.  From today's Lifenews we read that on August 25th, the Obama administration brought in Planned Parenthood, the National Abortion Federation and the Feminist Majority Foundation to conduct a "training" in Oregon for the FBI and Department of Justice.  The topic?  Why, "violence against reproductive health centers", of course!  By describing our First Amendment speech as violent, they seek to inhibit us from speaking out.  I would suspect that is why they allowed prolife advocates to sit in on this training.  The advocates who attended obtained a booklet; it is on the Lifenews site and the pdf is downloadable.

The second part of this post pertains to Obama's paranoia regarding Fox News, as reported by Newsmax.  You see, unlike those paragons of unbiased reporting such as the New York Times and the Washington Post (stop snickering!), Fox News has the audacity to (Sit down, now!  Have the smelling salts handy) a point of view that is (gasp!) DESTRUCTIVE!  How so, you might ask?  Why, it's because the Messiah Most Miserable disagrees with it!  Understand now?
