Pro-Abortion GW Students Throw Tantrums At The Truth

The young men of the TFP Student Action have once again taken the truth of baby-slaughter and God's commandments to a college campus.  Last week they were at George Washington University in Washington DC.  Either these students are complete products of public school education and/or their consciences are seared by personal participation in baby murder, for their tantrums and profanity-laden snit-fits are a pitiful sight to behold.  One gal said she worked at a mill and another said she belonged to a satanic temple (giving unwitting testimony as to abortion's demonic origins).   The truth, proclaimed completely and properly, will either be embraced or rejected.  Sadly the bulk of these youngsters chose the latter.

The examples of these TFP men are to be emulated.

TFP Student Action Speaks Truth To Pro-Abortion Rabble At George Washington University

The embrace of the pro-abortion mentality is an embrace of barbarism of the worst kind.  Such an embrace will permeate through all areas of the mentality of the pro-abortion supporter.  I see this proof quite frequently, and now can show a local example of such depravity.

A few days ago, young men from the TFP Student Action group witnessed to the sanctity of life at George Washington University.  I would say that some of the students disagreed with them but that would be a gross understatement.  Instead, what you are witnessing is a visceral and violent reaction to truth on the part of those students who have partaken of the pro-abortion seduction, and who most likely have participated in baby-slaughter themselves.  Here is the video and further commentary is below that.

One of the broads there, who actually looks old enough to have retained some vestige of civility, demonstrated behavior associated with a rather dangerous animal.  I post pictures of both so that you can see the similarities.

If some find my comparison offensive, well, consider how those young men found the behavior hurled at them.

The young men, in addition to speaking truth to George Washington University, are examples worthy of emulation by us all.  That isn't just their responsibility, but our's as well.

Cardinal Wuerl Defends Father Shaffer

Dawn Eden gave a first-hand account of a homily delivered by Cardinal Wuerl yesterday during Mass at St Stephen Martyr Church in Washington DC.  That church is the parent parish of the GW chaplaincy.  Father Shaffer and two former GW chaplains were concelebrating the Mass.  I won't go into all the details; I'll leave it to you to read Dawn's account.

I am encouraged to learn of this.  Father Shaffer is a fine priest and it's good to see his brother priests - and his bishop - rallying to his aid.

UPDATE: The Cardinal has posted his homily on his blog.  Thanks to my anonymous commenter from 7:50pm for alerting.  My link is "clickable".

GWU Gays Launch Persecution Campaign Against Catholic Chaplain

Two gay students at George Washington University are shocked (just shocked, I tell you!) that the Catholic chaplain on campus is acting like (gasp!) a Catholic chaplain!!   Oh, the horror of it all!  They claim that Father Greg Shaffer's proclamation of Catholic truth causes them to (wait for it!) feel alienated.  One is left wondering from what they feel alienated.

In all seriousness, it is true that Damian Legacy's and Blake Bergen's gay lifestyle have indeed alienated themselves from God's love and (while they persist in mortal sin) eternal salvation.  One might hope that such feelings of alienation would cause them to take serious stock of their sinful lives, leave the practice of homosexuality and go to confession before they really find themselves alienated for all eternity.  We will pray for their repentance - and the repentance of those other twelve individuals.

Legacy and Bergen claim to "be upset about the counseling" that Father offers to homosexuals: to live chaste lives.  Again, when one goes to a Catholic priest for counseling, should they really be surprised that he is going to counsel them in the way he knows to be the truth?  If they just don't like what Father is saying, they can always go elsewhere, can they not?  And were they compelled under duress to seek Father out in the first place?  No, they heard Father alright, and their consciences are smarting.  Their behavior is reminiscent of the pharisees who held their hands over their ears as they rushed to stone Stephen the first martyr as the latter rebuked their sinfulness.  They hate the truth for it exposes the stench of their own conduct so they proceed on a mad rush to quash it.

The article goes on to say that Legacy was considering the priesthood before Father Shaffer arrived on campus.  Perhaps Legacy didn't like seeing how a real priest lives and carries on his ministry.  Legacy abandoned his own "priesthood" pipe-dream for which I cry "Deo Gratias!"

Pray for Father Shaffer and all priests.  Pray that they might proclaim God's truth unabashedly.

ADW - Starting The "Fortnight" On The Wrong Foot

First, I thank Kurt, the commenter on my Fortnight announcement for alerting me to this Archdiocesan gaffe. They are starting off the two-week period with a "celebration" on Sunday June 24th at George Washington University.  Everything Kurt says about GW is true - and then some!

GW is a bastion for progressive brainwashing of young people.  It has a pro-abortion group called "Voices for Choices".  As you look at this website, you'll notice a tab called "clinic escorting".  They actively recruit for the DC-area "clinic escorts", that is, accessories to baby murder.  I am all too aware of their presence at the death mills.  Fortunately they don't seem to stick around; the reality of what they're doing no doubt is a stark contrast to the fables that "Voices" feeds them.

Moreover, GW is the lurking ground for law professer John Banzhaf.  If the name rings a bell, it's because twice last year, he filed two frivolous lawsuits against the Catholic University of America.  Between last October and November, I wrote about a lawsuit he filed ostensibly on behalf of some Muslim students for not having rooms without Catholic symbols so that they could engage in Muslim prayers.  I said "ostensibly" because the students themselves had no interest in this lawsuit; they apparently had the good sense to realize that at a Catholic institution one can expect to find Catholic symbols.  Earlier in June he had filed suit against CU when the latter re-instituted single-sex dorms, claiming discrimination.  In November the DC Human Rights Commission tossed that suit in the junk-heap.

And the Archdiocese wants to pay thousands to George Washington University?  Speaking of Catholic University, don't they have large enough facilities for such a celebration, such as a basket ball stadium?  In these days when institutions like GW have us in their sights, why give them Catholic money?  Why not give it to another Catholic institution, especially one that has had its share of barbs heaved its way?

The ADW should have done better than that.  I pray that they reconsider.

Catholic University Faces Lawsuit - For Being (Gasp!) Catholic

Last week I heard the news that Catholic University was restoring its policy of housing men and women in separate buildings.  To be honest, my first reaction was "Restored??  I didn't know its dorms had gone coed!"  However, I did welcome the news that a Catholic institution was actually reinforcing some Catholic morality.

Comes now the news that some progressive law professor from George Washington University heard about this and bunched his undies over this announcement.  To be fair to John Banzhaf, the CU move is quite - dare I say it? - politically incorrect!  Banzhaf, on his own website, claims to be such a champion of "equal bathroom access" that he calls himself (drum roll, please)..

FATHER OF POTTY PARITY!

Who can make up this stuff?  I think, for the sake of brevity, we'll call him Poppa-Potty!  At any rate, CU has no concerns about the legality or constitutionality of its decision.  I for one commend CUA president John Garvey for taking this step.
