McCarrick To Go To Criminal Court Over Rape Charges

This was a long time coming.  At last there is a glimmer of hope for justice.  The man bringing these charges is just one of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of young men preyed upon by the disgraced ex-cleric.  I would hope there is real punishment, including time behind bars.  The realist in me says that won't happen because McCarrick may well be able to blackmail key people - certainly his fellow cleric-perverts.  Still, I'm glad at least one man had the ability and determination to pursue justice.

As far as McCarrick is concerned, we must pray for his final conversion and repentance.  All indicators point to a dismal eternity for him IF he doesn't repent of his many crimes and make a good, sincere Confession.  He is an old man with not too much time left before his particular judgment.

John Sweeney - God Have Mercy On His Soul

John Sweeney, former president of both the AFL-CIO and SEIU, passed away on Feb 1st.  A picture from the Baltimore Catholic Review shows him receiving the Medal of Freedom from the Messiah Most Miserable.  Perhaps this is one of the many reasons why?

One of my first forays into street activism was a picket of a Catholic Charities gala at which Sweeney was being honored.  At the time he was still president of the AFL-CIO.  Ostensibly that union fought for the rights of workers - but they were for the slaughter of the unborn babies of those workers.  While he was president, the union demanded of employers that they include contraception coverage.  Their webpage linked directly to that of the NOW.  Of course the Review would jibber-jabber about Sweeney's faith and how it educated his labor advocacy while ignoring Sweeney's defiance of the Church's laws regarding contraception and the rights of unborn children.

By the way - if you read my other posts regarding Sweeney, you will notice that now-disgraced Theodore McCarrick was quite chummy with Sweeney.  McCarrick was present at that gala that we picketed.  He must have felt bad about the reception that we gave Sweeney so he decided to honor Sweeney later.  We picketed that event, too!

All Roads Lead To China

Michael Hichborn put out this video today with the title quoted in this post's title.  With Jim Maughan, Hichborn delves into the pivotal role that Communist China has played in the attempted theft of the presidential election away from Donald Trump.  As an aside, on the two pro-Trump marches that I've attended in Washington DC, I couldn't help but notice the presence of many Chinese people calling for the abolition of the Chinese Communist Party; this video gives me a greater appreciation of their reasons for attending the pro-Trump rallies.

Hichborn not only asks us to watch it, but to pass this along to others.  We know that not only will the mainstream media try to stifle its message, but so will the progressives who occupy many of the chanceries in the US.  Keep praying those daily Rosaries.

Let's Not Lose Sight Of McCarrick And The Evils That He Wrought

Amidst all the turmoil regarding the corona virus, draconian governmental shutdowns, the thuggish behaviors of Antifa and "Black Lives Matter", it is easy to lose sight of how McCarrick made a mockery of the Church.  Indeed, we can probably lay at his feet the blame for the Church's wimpy and heretical responses to the above-named plagues.

One big matter that is slipping from the minds of many (and perhaps this is a goal of the progressive prelates) is the report on McCarrick that was supposed to have been released months ago.  It still remains under lock and key - whether that of the Vatican or the USCCB I don't know, but I'm fairly certain they are in cahoots.

I post below two relevant videos, but still have some remarks to make.  Taylor Marshall alludes to the election of Francis to the papacy.  Shortly after he was elected, some anomalies came to light and I posted about them here and here.  In the second link, I posted a video of an address given by then-cardinal McCarrick, in which he alludes to being asked to influence the election for then-Cardinal Bergoglio.  Marshall made mention of that.  In the two posts, I made known my concerns regarding the validity of the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI; my concerns remain unaddressed and therefore I must admit his resignation may have been invalid and that he still remains the true pope.

The Vortex below, also from a few days ago, looks at the McCarrick situation from other angles, particularly regarding the literal sell-off of the Catholic Church in China.

When I first started blogging, McCarrick was still archbishop of my diocese.  I started writing because I knew he and others posed problems for the Church.  At that time, the Catholic Standard had been ordered to cease publishing "letters to the editor" after he made allowances for pro-aborts to receive Holy Communion sacrilegiously.  However, at that time, I was not aware of the extent of evil perpetrated by that man.  I consider it an act of Divine Mercy that he was laicized.  However, the wheels of evil that he set in motion still continue to churn, and we see some of that in burned cities, ruined livelihood, vandalized churches, governmental tyrants run amok.

In addition to the Rosary that Marshall mentioned, we've got to act.  Getting in front of the USCCB meeting might be a good idea.  We have also got to get behind President Trump this coming November.  He has demonstrated that he is at least friendly to traditional western civilization, unlike the Democrats who are rabidly pro-abortion and anti-God.

Pope Francis, Assisted By Ex-Cardinal McCarrick, Literally Sold the Chinese Catholic Church To Destruction

Several years ago it was quite apparent that the Vatican, with direction of Pope Francis and deal-brokering by former Cardinal McCarrick, abdicated its responsibility to select bishops who would truly look after Chinese Catholics.  At the time, it wasn't clear just what the Vatican hoped to gain by selling the Chinese Catholics down the river.  In retrospect, we, at least I, failed to consider the most logical and obvious motive of them all - money to the tune of $2billion per year.  I post now a report from Church Militant giving more details.


A few days ago President Trump signed into law the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act, designed to combat human rights violations in Red China.  Consider that Pope Francis and Theodore McCarrick paved the way for the multiplication of human rights abuses for the price of $2 billion.  Small wonder why God has sent judgment upon us.  Pray and intercede for God's mercy - and cut off contributions to the dioceses and the USCCB.

The Malefactors Are Squirming

During this past year, Theodore McCarrick has been living in a small Capuchin friary in Victoria KS.  He has remained silent - until now.  A few weeks ago, he granted an interview. The reporter, Ruth Graham, asked him point-blank if he "did it".  Here is his reply: “I’m not as bad as they paint me. I do not believe that I did the things that they accused me of.”

The italics are mine, for obvious reasons.  Dear readers, if someone were to state that you committed a crime, say of sexual abuse (like the ex-cardinal) or even something else like bank robbery or murder.  If you're anything like me, you'd be denying those accusations with all the vehemence that you could muster and would even demand that the accusations be retracted under pain of legal action.  His statements have both guilt and arrogance screaming all over them.

During the conversation he spoke of the former seminarians who accused him of abuse in his summer beach house, implying that they were put up to it.  He also had vitriol to hurl at Archbishop Vigano, who helped blow the cover off of McCarrick.  He said that Vigano was "talking as a representative of the far right".

McCarrick is not the only one to have a bone to pick with "the far right".  Yes, I'm afraid the pope gave another plane interview during which he inserted both feet into the papal speech apparatus.  He was presented with a book written by Nicolas Seneze entitled "How America Wants to Change the Pope".  Sadly the author is mistaken for there are plenty of progressives who just adore the pope as he is.  In many ways, the title of that book has things precisely ass-backwards.  Upon receiving the book the pope let out with this blooper: "For me, it's an honor that Americans attack me".  Of course his press handlers scurried into damage control mode, but too late. I thought the pope and other clergy were to be honored when they suffer for doing God's will; even then, they weren't expected to thump their chests over it.  Praying for fish, promoting LBGT supporters to the College of Cardinals, etc, is NOT "doing God's will".

Two prelates aren't quite as cheeky as they are facing the music for their misdeeds.  Recall that in Seattle, Archbishop Sartain approved a public Catholic funeral for a flaming gay who announced his planned suicide well in advance.  Years before, Sartain approved a Catholic funeral for a priest who had abused several boys.  Just days after his approval of Fuller's funeral was made public, Sartain resigned his position.

In Buffalo, NY, Bishop Richard Malone is under intense scrutiny owing to his own sexual misdeeds.  He knows it.  He has been recorded as saying, "this could be the end for me as bishop".  I hope he takes it further and realizes that if he doesn't repent and make a good confession, that the end could be hell - literally.

There are those good Catholics who state that only by prayer and fasting can these evils be purged from our Church.  I agree, except for that "only" part.  Prayer, fasting, sacraments are crucial, but by themselves they are insufficient.  The reactions related above have occurred because of intense scrutiny and protest as well as prayer.  We need both - from every single faithful Catholic.

One Year After The McCarrick Revelations

If we learned anything from the recent dog-and-pony extravaganza that the US bishops threw for themselves in Baltimore last month, it's that they don't intend to change one thing about their conduct of Church affairs.  Of course I'm speaking primarily of how they cover for their confreres who just happen to be serial homosexual predators.

Father Gerald Murray (one of the Papal Posse featured on The World Over) penned a piece for LifeSiteNews regarding that fact.  He pointed out that McCarrick is still residing in that Kansas priory.  We still don't know who's paying those expenses.  Even more troubling, we still don't know why he is living in such close proximity to young boys.  Yes, he's been laicized, but I'd be willing to bet that he agreed to "take one for the team" as long as he lives in relative comfort - as he might define "comfort".  It must also be borne in mind that he probably has some dirt on many prelates so they aren't willing to induce him into bean-spilling.  Thus he's allowed to live in comfort during his final years.  HOWEVER - if McCarrick doesn't repent and do serious reparation, he won't be at all comfortable in his eternity.

Father Murray.also touches on Bishop Bransfield and why Lori is pussy-footing with that investigation.  Lori had his name expunged from a report that revealed that he received money from Bransfield.  Only when "caught with his hand in the cookie jar" did Lori issue a rambling mea culpa.  More and more, Lori is looking like he is very much compromised.  That would explain his complete disregard for the gay-related crap emanating from St Matthew's on Loch Raven Blvd.

Below we see Michael Voris interview four men fighting this filth, including James Grein, who had been abused by McCarrick for decades as a boy and young man.  We like them, need to shine the light on this rot so that it can be purged.

Marshall And Hichborn On Social Justice Hoax And What You Can Do About It

Michael Hichborn has done extensive research over the years regarding "social justice" in the Catholic Church and the dangers that it poses to the eternal salvation of countless souls.  My Catholic Media Coalition colleague, Stephanie Block, also has done similar research; in fact, Hichborn acknowledges her contributions at the 31-minute mark of the video below.

In this video, Taylor Marshall interviews Hichborn regarding the shams that are the three main vehicles of this so-called "social justice".  They are: Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Relief Services, and Catholic Charities.  While the video is long, I think it worth your while to listen closely to the whole thing.  We are obliged to inform ourselves of these matters, and we simply must invest the time to do so.

A word to Catholics in the Archdiocese of Washington.  I now link to the schedule for the second collections in 2019.  Please note these three approaching collections:

• May 12 - Catholic Relief Services.  For reasons discussed in this video, and many more, this (and the on-going Rice Bowl collection) must be boycotted. 
• June 23 - Peter's Pence.  In light of recent revelations regarding the stench that is in the Vatican, we dare not feed the corruption with our hard-earned dollars.
• August 4 - Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  Hichborn mentioned in the video that they try to disguise this collection.  That's why they call it "Catholic Communications and Human Development?.  Whom do they think they are fooling?

James Grein Speaks With Michael Voris Regarding His Abuse At The Hands Of McCarrick

Here we see a snippet of a conversation between Michael Voris and James Grein.  The latter suffered abuse at the hands of McCarrick over decades.  His testimony was crucial in helping rid the priesthood of McCarrick.

Grein offers an exhortation to others who have likewise been molested not only by McCarrick but also other pervert priests.  He calls on them to step up and speak out.  I echo his call.  Yes, it could well be difficult, no it really isn't "fair" that you should have to speak out - but so what?  Was it "fair" that Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, suffered a brutal death on our behalf?   Your testimony could help bring these perverts to justice, clean up the general rot and corruption in the Church, AND to prevent any others from falling victim to these scoundrels.

Why Does The Catholic Standard Insist On Fawning All Over Pro-Aborts?

This past Saturday I opened the latest issue of the Catholic Standard (official publication of the Archdiocese of Washington).  I was happy to see that there was at least mention of the assisted suicide bill - even if it was stuffed inside as opposed to the front page.  Alas, as I proceeded through the paper, I saw behavior that is too typical of this propaganda mouthpiece.

The headline for this travesty reads "For Sister Carol Keehan, Faith And Health Care Go Together".  It's not much more than a shill piece extolling the Obama Hell-Care bill.  The author, who happens to be the wife of the Standard's editor,   Of Keehan, Carol Zimmerman says she "worked hard behind the scenes to help craft the language of the Affordable Care Act passed by President Barack Obama.."  I suspect that sentence is objectively correct.  Obama thanked her and said "We would not have gotten the Affordable Health Care Act done had it not been for her."  Again, that is objectively true; that is to her great shame and I pray that is not to her eternal damnation.  She still has time to repent for her role in the advancement of socialized medicine and worse, further entrenching into our social fabric the slaughter of babies and the introduction of death panels.  The article even makes mention of her Pen of Perfidy.

She had no apologies for those evils or for forcing other religious communities to fund contraception, such as the Little Sisters of the Poor.  The latter had to go to court several times to rid themselves of that onerous mandate. She did complain about faithful Catholics who rebuked her, saying that "people screamed at her, picketed events that she attended.."  I am happy to remind readers that in 2010, shortly after her betrayal, she gave the commencement address for Gonzaga High School in DC.  We were there to greet and rebuke her.  I will repost the video after we discuss the Standard's second slobber-fest.

This article was written by the Catholic News Service.  I cannot seem to locate it on the online version, but it did appear in print, on page 13 of the March 7th edition.  It's entitled, "Dingell, Longest Serving Member Of Congress, Recalled At Funeral As Doer".  He was a "doer", all right, but was what he did moral and in line with common decency, let alone Catholic morality?  The answer is a resounding "no".  This article admits that he facilitated legalized baby-murder.  But other than that teensy little detail, the US bishops and he saw eye to eye; of course that included the Obama Hell-Care Bill that I mentioned in relation to Sr Keehan just a few paragraphs up.

He had two funeral Masses: one at Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn, MI and the second at Holy Trinity Church near Georgetown University.  I understand from Church Militant that Catholics were outraged that he was receiving a public funeral.  I'm assuming that most of those Catholics were addressing the Dearborn debacle.  As for Holy Trinity?  Well, it's a Jesuit-run parish and is the same that gave Joe Biden a standing ovation during Mass just after he and Obama were elected to office, so need I say more?

I still am trying to figure out a reason why the Standard wasted so much news print over those two.  Whatever the reason, they once again insulted faithful Catholics by lauding the "praises" of those who betrayed the Church, the babies and ultimately Jesus Christ.

Now here's the video of our protest of Keehan at Gonzaga,  McCarrick was there and he too got an earful; watch all the way to the end.  This exemplifies how we must rebuke them, for the bishops are just going to pat them on the back.

St Peter Damian, Pray For Our Pervert-Coddling Prelates!

It is no coincidence whatsoever that the "sex abuse sin-nod" has convened on the feast day of St. Peter Damian, a prelate and Doctor of the Church who fought vigorously against the sins of sodomy that infested the clergy of his day.  We beg his intercession for this "summit" is most likely intended as a farce to induce the faithful to believe that they will address the root causes of sex abuse by clergy when in reality they are only interested in mollifying us and providing cover for perverted clergy - some of whom might well be participating in that sin-nod.

Not all bishops are partaking of the kool-aid.  Two days ago, Cardinals Brandmuller and Burke, the two remaining dubia Cardinals, issued an open letter to the summit attendees.  In that letter, the two cardinals challenged the attendees to break the silence regarding homosexuality.  They stated that ,"The plague of the homosexual agenda has been spread within the Church, promoted by organized networks and protected by a climate of complicity and a conspiracy of silence."  Yesterday Brandmuller released a statement reemphasizing the role of homosexuality as a major plague in the Church.  Meanwhile, Archbishop Vigano today issued his own statement to the attendees urging them to convert.  So here we have Cardinals Burke and Brandmuller, with Archbishop Vigano, speaking truth to corrupt power.  Perhaps that is why they were not invited to attend.

Let's look at these "organized networks" to which Cardinals Burke and Brandmuller alluded.  They are real and they are powerful.  In his report on this sin-nod today, Michael Voris details how this network, most likely established by Bella Dodd (before she converted to Catholicism) and probably launched the horrific rampage known as McCarrick's career.  One of these networks is known as "St Gallen's mafia" and most likely played a role in strong-arming the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI and then shoving Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio into the papacy.  These networks insinuated many clandestine perverts and Communists into the clergy. 

The sin-nod is silent on this because now the Vatican is most likely in league with these networks and doesn't want the light shone on their plans and deeds.  Just take a look at these "21 reflection points" that the pope wants the sin-nod attendees to consider.  Do you see the word "homosexual" mentioned once therein?  I don't!  I don't even see the word "sin" in this mish-mosh, much less repentance and Confession.  And what's with all this jibber-jabber about "protocols" and "norms"?  All that's needed is to reaffirm the Church's immutable teachings on morality and faith.  It's not at all complicated, but these charlatans want the matter to appear like it is so that they might avoid accountability.

As I look at that picture of St. Peter Damian and ponder his question, I have to think that for today's perverted cabal in the Church, we know the answer.  They deliberately seek to undermine the Church.  In so doing, they goad many souls to hell, including their own, if they die unrepentant.  Therein lies some hope, for if Bella Dodd could convert, so can they.  But for some of them, McCarrick especially, the sands of time are running out.  Pray that they are converted and pray that the damage they did can be reversed.

McCarrick Is Laicized

This is long overdue - not only on behalf of his poor victims throughout the decades but also countless others who have been led astray owing to his dissidence on matters of the faith.  They are too many to list here, but over the years of this blog's existence, they have been noted here and elsewhere.  He also had (probably still does have) the habit of publicly hob-nobbing with infamous pro-aborts at various functions; I've participated in and/or led pickets at those debacle, including this.

McCarrick is by no means the only one.  Given the ungodly priorities of this pontificate, I've no doubt that McCarrick was intended to be a sacrificial lamb to mollify those of us who seek to have Holy Mother Church purified of the rot that infests her at all levels.  It will be up to faithful Catholic laity not only to pray and offfer sacrifices, but also to utilize all moral means available to keep up the pressure - including pickets such as the one exemplified in the most recent link.

I've no doubt that McCarrick will be offered a cushy "retirement package" in return for all the disservice rendered throughout the years.  However, we must also remember to pray that McCarrick will wake up and repent, making a good confession.  He is elderly and hasn't much time left on earth to do that.

Wuerl Knew. He lied. He must go.

LifeSiteNews summarizes the situation well.  Cardinal Wuerl claimed months ago that "I can report that no claim - credible or otherwise - has been made against Cardinal McCarrick during his time here in Washington."

McCarrick was Archbishop of Washington between 2001 and 2006.  Robert Ciolek was a seminarian during the 1980s when he was molested by McCarrick.  Ciolek settled with the Church on that in 2005.  Documentation in the offices of the Pittsburgh diocese shows that then-Bishop Wuerl was aware of these matters when the settlement was issued.  Wuerl was aware of that claim against McCarrick, then, in 2005, "during his time here in Washington".  This past August Archbishop Vigano stated that when he said that he himself broached these matters with Wuerl several times.

Of course the Archdiocese of Washington is in "damage control mode", as evidenced from this statement issued Jan 10.  Notice in that statement the attempt to deflect blame for the lie by claiming that the statement "referred to claims of sexual abuse of a minor by Archbishop McCarrick"?  Sorry, that doesn't fly - but it fits well with the general talking points that have as their aim the deflection of attention from the abuse of young vulnerable men.

All that said, Wuerl did report the matter in 2004 to the Papal Nuncio, who was Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo.  What did Montalvo, in turn, do with that report?  At the time, Pope John Paul II was on Peter's chair.  Did the information ever reach him?  These are questions that deserve answers.  For now, it is clear that we cannot rely on Cardinal Wuerl to be honest; Archbishop Vigano stated that succinctly when he said of Wuerl that "he lies shamelessly".

The blog "Complicit Clergy" is circulating a petition for the complete removal of Cardinal Wuerl from public ministry (as opposed to this sham "resignation" in name only that is now going on).  I have signed it and urge all readers to sign it.

Cardinal Wuerl - Fugitive From US Justice?

Speaking of "fugitive", he may not be the only one.  Remember that "place of penance" that was posted yesterday?  According to George Neumayr, the journalist that discovered it, the palatial hovel now looks rather deserted.  In other words, is McCarrick joining Wuerl?



If all this is true, that means that we of the Archdiocese of Washington may soon be receiving a new prelate.  All this "cloak and dagger" does lead me to believe that the replacement might well not be along the lines of Cupich or Tobin or McElroy.  For all we know, exit strategies might be in the works for them, too.  If nothing else, that would clear a lot of stench out of the air of US Churches.

Do Lay Journalists Share Blame For McCarrick's Misdeeds?

Long-time readers of this blog know that I started it, and its precessor website, precisely because of the misbehaviors of Cardinal McCarrick.  Often have I striven to shine the light on his hobnobbing with pro-aborts (such as John Sweeney and Ted Kennedy), rubbing elbows with dissidents like Sister Carol Keehan, turning a blind eye toward the fetal tissue research at Georgetown, and his enthusing about Islam.   In light of the recent revelations about McCarrick, you might recall that I said nothing about the allegations of homosexual conduct that even then were swirling about the rumor mill.  Why, you might ask?

The reason is quite simple.  At the time the allegations were merely rumors.  Until several weeks ago, there was no credible allegation that passed legal muster.  Until several weeks ago, none of his victims stepped forth into the public to levy charges against him.  Now more victims are stepping out of the shadows.  But while the victims remained in the shadows, the rumors of homosexual crimes were precisely that - rumors, and unsubstantiated ones at that.  I will put nothing on this blog that hasn't been substantiated with facts.

I was a bit troubled to see this piece from Church Militant yesterday, basically taking Catholic League President Bill Donohue to task for knowing but doing nothing.  They did quote Donohue's statement.  A very relevant piece of it is: "Everyone heard rumors about what was going on down in Sea Girt, on the New Jersey shore.  I couldn't verify anything.  Who am I?  You hear rumors.  A lot of rumors are untrue.  These rumors turned out to be true."  The CM article, towards the end, states that Donohue's "well-placed friends could have verified it for him".  Perhaps, but what if Donohue asked and they didn't?  How are they so all-fired certain that Donohue didn't try?

None of us would have known a thing had that allegation not been proven credible, with the accusor going public.  None of us would dare shine the spotlight on this matter - not so much for fear of legal ramifications but because as Catholics we cannot go about rumor-mongering.  I didn't give vent to the rumors for that reason.  Donohue, for all his faults (yes, his praise of Wuerl's self-policing idea is, at best, laughable), should not be excoriated for his previous silence.  If he tries to defend either Wuerl or McCarrick now that facts are coming forth, then I'd agree he might suffer from myopia - just as those who refuse to hold the pope accountable for his ever-increasing threats to the faith (ahem!).

On the Facebook wall of one of the CM staff, I and another blogger pointed out the pointlessness of accusing Donohue of anything, given that no one had come forth with hard data until the past two months.  She tried to contradict us by saying that the site bishopaccountability.org reported on it, as well as Richard Sipe and Rob Drehr.  Here''s what I saw on bishopaccountability.  You'll have to scroll quite a bit to get to McCarrick.  Notice how all the sources are within the past two months?

Regarding Richard Sipe, I see on the site traditioninaction an "open letter" that he wrote to Pope Benedict XVI detailing his concerns about McCarrick's antics.  Well, he might indeed have supplied the details to Pope Benedict, but unless we were made privy to them, how on earth were we supposed to act?  Without access to facts, we had no choice but to consider the allegations as rumors.

In that discussion I opined that the adult victims who remained silent shared some of the responsibility for allowing McCarrick to continue his rampage unimpeded.  I still do.  Silence is one of the nine ways that one can cooperate with sin.  To those men: you have a moral duty to come forward and report your incidents to the public.  While McCarrick himself may be out of circulation, perhaps your story will encourge victims of other pervert clergy to come forward so that those errant priests will be prevented from harming others in the future.

We need to be praying our rosaries for the Church and her ministers.

DC Area Catholics, Get Ready To Take Action This Weekend!

Catholics of the Archdiocese of Washington, it is absolutely incumbent upon each and every one of us - no exceptions - to boycott the second collection this weekend!  It is the annual collection for that snake-in-the-grass organization known as the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (and don't let their cute name mutation deceive you).  The CCHD is evil in and of itself, but now we have additional reason to withhold our money.  You have seen this week the reasons why our dioceses must feel our "power of the purse" for their wanton diversion of funds to pay off the settlements for our pervert prelates.  We will not drop one penny in the diocesan coffers until they repent of facilitating McCarrick's disgraceful conduct.  Cardinal Wuerl, present archbishop of Washington, has been implicated in multiple coverups - not only of McCarrick but quite a few pervert priests during his time in Pittsburgh.  This chancery needs to be starved until all filth is purged from it.

Last Sunday I posted an envelope stuffer that you can put in your CCHD envelope; drop that in the basket instead of money.  It is important that the clergy know exactly why their collection intake is less than what they expected.  With this flyer (or your own note), you'll be exercising the Spiritual Works of Mercy such as: rebuking the sinner, educating the ignorant.

I'm now posting yesterday's episode of the World Over.  The discussion revolves around the bishop sex abuse scandal AND the pope's attempt to mutate Church teaching on the death penalty.  Some have been erroneously claiming that this teaching change is meant to divert our attention from the bishop sex scandal.  Maybe - or maybe it's the other way around.  Perhaps the bishop abuse thing was allowed to break to provide cover for this attempt to undermine the understanding that Church teaching is immutable because God, the source of that teaching, is Himself immutable.  Interestingly enough, even gay activists understand the implications of this dangerous precedent that the pope is attempting to establish.  After all, if Church teaching on the death penalty can change, why not other teachings - for example, teachings on homosexuality?  From their evil perspective, they understand it, as evidenced by this New Ways article.

Seriously, though, I'd urge you all to watch the video below.  The denials of Farrell, Wuerl, etc are brazenly dishonest.  I again urge you to implement this immediately; find some like-minded Catholics in your areas to help promulgate this so that the boycott will have optimum impact.

A Suggested Plan Of Action To Cripple The Gay Apparatus In The US Church

In light of the significant development in the McCarrick situation yesterday, that is, his ouster from the College of Cardinals and subsequent taking up of a life of secluded prayer and penance, I would have expected some sort of statement from the DC chancery to be read at Mass, as one was when he was first ordered to cease public ministry.  Instead we heard - nothing!  Zero-zip-nada!  Crickets!

How disingenuous!  Does the chancery really take faithful Catholics to be naive simpletons?  I've no doubt that one big reason behind their silence is that they hope McCarrick's removal will satisfy us and that they no longer have to worry about the consequences of their aiding and abetting McCarrick throughout the years.  This is pure damage control.

For those of you who believe that the poor dears in the chancery simply didn't have enough time to craft a decent statement, may I present this open letter regarding the situation that was released by Bishop Michael Olson of the Diocese of Fort Worth (TX)?  In all honesty, I've had issues with Olson in the past few years as the Texas bishops seemed hell-bent on electing RINOs to offices as opposed to real pro-life people, but I appreciate his alacrity in addressing his congregation about this matter.  By contrast we see how disingenuous the DC chancery really is.

If the chancery thought their silence would cause our attention and resolve to dissipate, they are sorely mistaken.  We are NOT going to relax our vigilance and we will NOT cease our prayers and actions until the vile cabal that aided and abetted McCarrick throughout the years is dismantled and those members be forced to atone for their own sins in this matter.  Let's be clear that many of these are in the DC chancery, as well as the USCCB.

So what do we do?  First, we make sure we ourselves pray and remain in the state of grace.  Under no circumstances do we contemplate abandoning the Barque of Peter' that is the mortal sin of apostasy. But there are other actions we must take, and these actions are predicated on the understanding that these bishops only understand one language from us, and that language is money.

• We must cease contributing to any diocesan collections.  That includes the Cardinal's Appeal.  It means that we boycott the CCHD collection next week if we aren't already doing so.  We should be boycotting it anyway, for those monies are used to fund various anti-God leftwing organizations.  For those collection envelopes, my post from a few days ago had some suggested language.  Alternatively, you might want to use the envelope stuffer at the bottom.
• The Archdiocese of Washington skims 10% off the regular weekly collection at Mass.  Two collections are exempted from the assessment: Christmas and Easter.  Consider cessation of the weekly donations and instead put those funds into the Christmas and/or Easter collection.  While it's true that this might make for uneven cash flow, it will actually mean more money for the parish as they will keep 100% of it.  Recall that McCarrick abused seminarians at his beach house.  With what money was this beach house funded?  Our donation dollars! 
• For other localities, circumstances may vary, such as what collections are exempt, etc.  Please do your own research and act accordingly.

We must financially starve these behemoths that condone and even facilitate such horrid crimes.  As I've described above for the DC area, there are most likely ways to do so without detriment to decent parishes.  Let's get going.

Obama's Spiritual Advisors

The National Catholic Reporter has given us a glimpse at the various spiritual advisors whom President Obama consults now, or has consulted in the past.  The article states that Obama is "frequently summoning the spirits of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Protestant theologian Reinhold Niebuhr and even St. Thomas Aquinas to frame his policies in moral terms."  I certainly hope that this isn't being done in the same fashion as did Hillary Clinton, when she reportedly consulted the "spirits of Eleanor Roosevelt and Mahatma Ghandi".

He is reputed to consult with some "advisors" who were consulted by previous presidents.  Such luminaries include:

• Rabbi David Saperstein.  A Reformed Rabbi, Mr. Saperstein has sat on many boards - including that of People for the American Way.  We need go no further here.
• Sojourners founder Jim Wallis.  He lashed out at James Dobson when the latter dared to question the wisdom of voting for Obama.  Boys and girls, can we all say "payback"?
• Last but not least, Theodore Cardinal McCarrick.  Why, oh why, does it seem quite natural to list him along with these other two left-wingers?  The article states that the Cardinal has advised Obama about (wait for it!) - health care reform.  Now doesn't that explain a lot?

Other advisees/friends of the Cardinal include:

• The late Senator Edward M Kennedy.  I can only hope beyond hope that the Cardinal did, in accord with his high office, preach the truth to the now-deceased Kennedy before his death.  That hope looks dim.
• John Sweeney, former president of AFL-CIO.  Sweeney, who was president of a union that demanded contraceptive coverage for union workers, was frequently honored by McCarrick.  I led pickets of two of these functions.  By the way, if you haven't yet done so, watch the "CIA" clip from Real Catholic TV about Alinskyte organizing - and note Sweeney's role.

From 2 Timothy 4:3 - "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.  Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."

Cardinal O'Malley, It's Called "Canon 915"!

Cardinal Sean O'Malley of Boston recently told Lifesite News regarding the denial of Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians, ""Well, I think that the only way that that solution [denying communion] should be invoked is if there were a large catechesis or if it was universal for the whole church. You can’t have people doing things in one parish and another, you would only divide the Church hopelessly."  He then goes on to call for a change in Canon Law and/or a papal directive.

Let's restate the obvious.  Canon 915 is universal for the whole church.  It's actually quite simple, and I'll now quote it in its entirety.  "Those who have been excommunicated or interdicted after the imposition or declaration of the penalty and others obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to holy communion."  That's it!  The underlined part is what pertains to the discussion about pro-abortion politicians.  Pro-abortion politicians "are not to be admitted to holy communion."  Who does the admitting?  It's the minister of Holy Communion, be they ordinary or extraordinary.  Canon 915 thus speaks to the minister of Holy Communion, not the would-be recipient of Holy Communion.  Read it.  It's spoken in the passive voice, but the meaning is crystal clear to those who have the intellectual honesty not to try to obfuscate its clear meaning.

The cardinal states that "you can't have people doing things in one parish and another.."  That's true enough.  The real solution, though, is to have all parishes and dioceses conform with Canon Law as it exists.  What makes the Cardinal think that they'll obey a new Canon law or new papal directive when they disobey the already-existing Canon Laws?

As far as papal directives go, the Vatican tried to extend such guidance in 2004 with then-Cardinal Ratzinger's (now the Holy Father) "Worthiness to Receive Holy Communion: General Principles".  The Vatican had intended it to be made known to all the bishops at their meeting in Dallas in 2004.  However, Cardinal McCarrick, who headed the USSCB's task force on the matter of Holy Communion, only made the briefest of reference to it.  Archbishop Burke said later that he was disappointed not to know of the full content of Cardinal Ratzinger's directive during the meeting.  Both Archbishop Burke and Cardinal Arinze have, from their Vatican posts, made clear that the minister of Holy Communion may not give It to pro-abortion politicians.  Cardinals O'Malley and McCarrick, what is so difficult to comprehend about that?
