Piers Morgan Trumps Cardinal Dolan In Decency And Common Sense

And that title doesn't say a whole lot.  That's not to slight Morgan, but to point out that just about anybody with a scintilla of common sense and decency will outshine Dolan.

I never heard of the Met Gala before the one that happened a few days ago.  Apparently it's quite a hoity-toity fashion show where all the wealthy folks and entertainers and all other sorts of glitterati wear expensive clothing along some given theme and rub elbows with each other.  Usually the women came dressed in rather provocative attire, like "ladies of the evening", if you get the drift.  This year someone came up with the bright idea of making the attire "catholic-themed".  So many of them came in attire that was unabashedly blasphemous.

Dolan was yokking it up with the blasphemers, (keeping with behavioral patterns of the past) complaining more about the quantity of food rather than the disrespect and bigotry being heaped upon his Faith.  From the New York Post I quote, "Dolan cracked to fellow guests that he was the only one who didn’t have to go out and buy his duds for the evening — though organizers were disappointed he didn’t accessorize more."  Well why didn't he "accessorize more"?  Did he forget about his signature head-gear (to the right)?

But Dolan probably has reasons, I'm sure - and I do mean rea$on$!  What does sacerdotal dignity and duty mean when beaucoup d'argent (French for "plenty of money") is to be had?

Piers Morgan wrote a very lucid article in the Daily Mail, pointing out the anti-Catholic bigotry on display at this Met-Gala thing.  He rightly pointed out that those blaspheming the One True Faith wouldn't dream of doing that to the Muslim or Jewish religion.

He also pointed out how bizarre it was that the Vatican gave its permission for Catholic accouterments to be featured at this sort of event.  He asked, "what the hell was the Vatican thinking?"  Faithful Catholics also ask that question, and have been asking that question quite frequently since Francis ascended to the papal throne.

Again, faithful Catholics are being treated as "niggers of the new age".  Among the bigots treating them as such are their own traitorous bishops.

Epiphany For Barbara Walters??

I know the Feast of the Epiphany is on the tail-end of the Christmas Season, but it sure seems like Barbara Walters is on the verge of one - if she can let go of those last shreds of Obama-hype delusions.

Some of my liberal-troll commentators have chided me for referring to Obama as the Messiah Most Miserable.  They believe that I'm not doing proper obeisance to Dear Leader, uh, His Imperial Highness, uh, Obama.  Well, given the recent interview between Piers Morgan and Barbara Walters, maybe I was pretty much on the mark.  They are both commiserating about Obama's lousy poll numbers, the Obamacare debacles, etc.  Walters admits that they (liberals/progesssives) "thought Obama was the next messiah" and are so, so bummed that he has fallen short of expectations.  Her dejection is enough to make me want to shed a tear in sympathy - NOT!

I'll give credit where it's due.  Walters is a lot further along in the waking up process than many of her colleagues appear to be.  She admits it.  Now if she would only cease her denials of truth..

Piers Morgan Threatens To Deport Himself

Piers Morgan, the British-born CNN host, is threatening to deport himself back to the UK after he evoked well-placed anger over his recent stupid statements.  After he made clear his opinions that good people aren't deserving of the right to defend themselves, he then stated his opinion that the Bible "should be amended" to allow for "gay marriage".

As he put it so arrogantly, "the Bible and the Constitution were well-intentioned, but they are basically inherently flawed."  By what imperious standard does he determine that God's word is "flawed"?  I've got news for Morgan; the Bible will be around long after he's a memory on the face of this planet!

As you read the first link, you'll see that Morgan is quite skilled at conducting veritable temper tantrums.  The only thing that I might change about the article is the title.  I'd change the word "threatens" to "promises".  However, I sadly suspect that this will be a promise that will be broken, just as Alec Baldwin broke his similar promise many years ago.

The Other School Assault This Past Friday

While I was listening to news updates about the Newtown situation, I would hear every now and then some mention of a similar incident in China on the same day - but not much else.  So I googled it.

There was indeed an attack in the Henan province of China, according to BBC News.  A knife-wielding man slashed 22 children and 1 elderly woman.  Two of the kids were wounded seriously.  The attacker was overpowered by security guards.  The guards were apparently there due to previous attacks that did claim the lives of 20 children.

Fortunately in Henan there were no fatalities yesterday and that's why no one saw fit to delve more closely in that manner.  However, I believe there's an additional reason why the lamebrain-mainstream media chose to ignore those attacks.  The Chinese assailant did not use any guns in his vicious crimes.  Nor were guns used in the previous Chinese situations that did prove fatal to some children.  And yes, apparently China has "large knife registration", but that didn't stop what happened Friday.

Fifty years ago, the US didn't have nearly the number of gun control laws on the books as it does now.  Yet we never heard of such occurrences.  Of course at that time we knew better than to allow our babies to be murdered in their own mothers' wombs.  Abortion happened, but not nearly at the rate that it happens now and society condemned - not condoned - it.

Already we hear kvetching and ballyhooing for more "gun control", as if that really addresses the root of the problem.  The usual whiners and howlers include:

• NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg - (the guy who banned 16-oz sodas from NYC)
• NY Gov Andrew Cuomo
• Piers Morgan
• NY Rep Jerrold Nadler (Hey!  At least he's being honest!)

And lest you think that these libs are leading by example, think again.  Barbara Boxer and Chuck Shumer have concealed-carry permits.  Why don't they think that we citizens, we the Great Unwashed, have the right to self defense?

All the above-named progressives have something else in common - they promote abortion: that is, the murder of babies.  So of course they won't function on the actual criminal, but merely the criminal's choice of tools.  If they subjected the criminal to scrutiny, they must also subject to the same scrutiny those who assist the criminal in his/her murders.  Could it be that they unconsciously realize that they themselves are complicit in murder?

In my post yesterday, I related the remarks made by Mother Teresa during the 1994 National Prayer Breakfast.  During the lighting of the Vatican Christmas tree, the Holy Father repeated her thoughts when he warned that abortion and "gay marriage" are real threats to peace.  Unless we, as a nation, wake up and repent, these acts of violence will increase.
