Carhart's Slush Fund

Thanks to Jill Stanek for doing the research on this little matter.  I'll link to her article, so the wheel doesn't get distorted in the re-invention (if you get my drift).  It turns out that Carhart, along with wife and daughter, are officers of the Abortion Access Fund, Inc.  Tax-deductible donations are solicited for it, as the AAF is touted as being a "501(c)3" charity.  Funny thing, tough!  Neither the IRS nor Guidestar has record of this organization as being a "501(c)3" charity!  There is no record of the AAF filing the annual IRS Form 990.  If it was organized to secure a $350k mortgage, it surely attained the minimum goal that would cause its filing of the Form 990 to be mandatory.  So where is it???

Speaking of the pro-abortion Summer of Choice, a commenter on the Stanek piece posted this picture that is all-too-typical of pro-abortion supporters.  Observe.

This is outside the Mother Seton church.  That is the Gabriel Project sign, familiar to many pro-life people.  Yes, the sign was vandalized.  Are we surprised?  Of course not!  People who celebrate the murder of tiny babies will also celebrate all sorts of childish and destructive behavior - and perhaps commit those actions themselves.

I understand that for many good people, the Summer of Mercy was their first foray into the world of pro-life activism.  I pray it is not their last.  We need you to help save lives.  Remember - while you were out there this past week, no little children had their brains torn from their heads.  Come out often!

Rosary Procession At Summer Of Mercy

Due to some scheduling conflicts and annoying technological glitches (which I now just solved), I just now got the footage from Sunday evening's Rosary Procession uploaded.  There is some good news, which my commenter from the post previous to this pointed out.

Because of the Christian witness that will be at this place of death this week, the abortion mill will be closed.  Ladies and gentlemen, that is a victory in and of itself.  For a little over a week, the blood of babies will not be shed.  That office park will be free - albeit ever so briefly - from the stench of murder and death.  Little babies will be spared a gruesome death.  Operation Rescue has more to say on this.

Now here's my video of the Rosary Procession from three evenings ago.  Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

Summer Of Mercy 2.0 Is Underway

An ecumenical prayer effort of nine days (a novena for us Catholics) started last evening at a rally at Covenent Life Church on Muncaster Mill Road.  This evening a Rosary procession occurred, from Mother Seton down to the development where Leroy Carhart commits his crimes against humanity.  I took some camcorder clips and hope to have them online tomorrow evening.

I urge all to attend as many of the prayer sessions as possible - particularly those in the upper part of Montgomery County MD.  Please visit http://summerofmercy.com/ for details.

Coming To Germantown - Summer Of Mercy 2.0

Most pro-life activists in the DC area know that Leroy Carhart has set up shop in an already-existing abortion mill in Germantown, MD.  Since December 2010, they have been engaged in efforts to end his practice of baby-murder in Maryland; see the Kick Out Carhart site for further details (also at right sidebar).

On July 30th, a nine-day effort of prayer and activism will commence to intercede for God's mercy and to raise awareness of the local community regarding the murders being perpetrated in their midst.  It is called Summer of Mercy 2.0, and is a joint effort of the Christian Defense Coalition, Operation Rescue and Maryland Coalition for Life.  It will commence with a 7:00PM prayer rally at Covenant Life Church, located at 7501 Muncaster Mill Road in Gaithersburg.  Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life will be the main speaker.

See the Summer of Mercy calendar for additional event details.  Please come for as much as your schedule permits.  Remember - our physical presence at these places of death is just as necessary as our prayers.

Please pass word of this far and wide.  Thank you.

Summer Of Mercy Coming To Germantown Abortuary

From July 31 through August 6, local pro-life activists, with the help of Operation Rescue, will conduct a week-long effort of Christan witness at the site of Germantown Reproductive Health Services, the abortion mill where LeRoy Carhart is murdering pre-born babies of all stages of gestation.

At this time, details are not yet known.  But please plan to be there for as much as you can.  Visit http://summerofmercy.com/ for further details.
