Brunson V Adams - Action Needed NOW

Anyone with two brain cells firing in syncopation knows that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump.  Moreover, last month several elections were also stolen: Kari Lake in Arizona, Neil Parrott in Maryland, etc.  We can whine and cry about it till the cows come home.  But now some hope appears over the horizon to address the corruption that, if it remains unfettered, will reduce us to voiceless slaves of an oligarchy.  The question is, will we seize it and work with it?

Several brothers from Utah, ordinary citizens like the bulk of us here, have filed suit against the members of Congress who abdicated their duty to properly certify the Presidential election and let the fraud proceed unopposed.  The case is known as Brunson v Adams.  On January 6 2023, that is, in less than two weeks, the US Supreme Court will consider whether or not to hear this case.  Only four justices need to vote favorably in order for the case to move forward.  Note the case number 22-380.

This case, if heard and subsequently voted in favor of the Brunsons, could well cause the ouster of Biden, Harris, and those members of Congress listed therein who voted for certification without addressing the serious and well-founded allegations of irregularities that were brought to their attention prior to certification.  However, the intention of the Brunsons is not so much to alter the election as it is to deal with the rot and corruption that has infested our election mechanisms.

Here is the Petition for a Writ of Certiatorari as filed with the US Supreme Court.  It is this that will be considered in a matter of days.  The defendants simply refused to do their constitutional duty.  Yes, there are a lot of "usual suspects", but other surprise me.  Rand Paul??  Here's some explanatory commentary; more can be found by just googling "Brunson v Adams".

I will direct your attention to this piece with a call for necessary action by us all.  They suggest that we all write letters to the US Supreme Court and send copies to the Brunsons.  Addresses and some sample language are here.  Please do so NOW.  Time is of the essence here.

Roe V Wade Is Overturned. Let's Keep Moving

Roe v Wade was decided when I was 17 years old.  Frankly, the way things were going, I didn't think I'd live to see this day, but here we are.  The ruling is not only an unambiguous smack-down of Roe but also of Casey v Planned Parenthood, picking apart their constitutional flaws.

By God's grace we have finally cleared a major hurdle, but there are many more to be surmounted.  We give thanks to God while not only maintaining but increasing our stride.  The little pro-abort darlings who chided us for years to "respect the court decisions" announced that tonight they intend to engage in temper tantrums that they call the "summer of rage".  They have already vandalized a number of Catholic churches and pro-life pregnancy centers.  Hmm... I wonder why they only target Catholic churches.  Might it be that they are acknowledging a truth that some of our protestant friends won't?  But I digress.

While I lived to see the day, many of my pro-life colleagues passed on.  I will now give them a shout-out, in no particular order.  To keep this list at a reasonable length, I'll only list those with whom I worked in one degree or another.  Some are nationally-known, but many were local folks.  They are: Nellie Gray, Joe Scheidler, Norma McCorvey, Marilyn Szewczyk, John Marcus, John Jay Daly, Anthony Sheehan, George Offerman, Cookie Harris, Kristin Kazyak, Jim Sharbaugh, Jim Sedlak, Mike Fritz, Bill Ferris, Bill Simpson, Bill Luksic, Dick Retta, Francis Popper, Francois Quinson, Robert Kling.  I'm sure their prayers were joined with ours in overturning that Roe beast and those prayers will continue to be with us.

This is no time for slacking off, for "resting on our laurels", as it were.  We must redouble our prayers and efforts.  We must continue to offer our daily Masses, pray our daily rosaries.  We must continue with our pro-life apostolates and work to elect good pro-life people to public office.

Let me draw special attention to that last sentence.  In 2016, a fair number of misguided and perhaps "mis-motivated" pro-life people thumbed their noses at Donald Trump, claiming that he wasn't pro-life enough for their overly-dainty tastes.  I've chided them quite a bit during that time; see here and here

When I wrote those posts six years ago, I didn't know how true those words would ring.  Donald Trump won the White House and kept his promise to appoint judges and justices who would interpret the Constitution as originally written.  Thus, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Barrett were appointed Supreme Court justices.  Today's Supreme Court ruling on Dobbs involved several written opinions.  The vote to uphold the Mississippi law was 6-3.  Of those 6, Chief Justice Roberts voted to uphold the Mississippi law, but not to overturn Roe and Casey.  That vote was really 5-4.  Three of the five were the justices that Trump appointed (Alito and Thomas being the other two).  Had the "nevertrumpers" in pro-life circles had their way, this victory for the babies would never have occurred.  Trump is owed much credit for keeping his word.

Frankly, I believe this ruling to have particular spiritual significance.  For nearly 50 years, with the de facto legalization of baby-slaughter, the United States as a nation has incurred the blood-guilt of over 60 million babies murdered since January 1973.  Now that ruling has ended and some purification has begun.  Today both Texas and Missouri have declared their states abortion-free.  Mississippi's law stands.  Other state bans, in limbo till now, can be enforced.

We have another presidential election in two years.  For now, let us focus on our local elections, especially since the overtuning of Roe puts the fight for the babies back to local governments.

From The "Elections Matter" Department

Today, in its ruling on the NYSRPA v Bruen case, the United States Supreme Court struck down a New York state law that sought to abridge a citizen's right to carry a handgun outside his/her home for self-defense.  The vote was 6-3, with Clarence Thomas writing the majority opinion.

In another excellent ruling, the Supreme Court voted 8-1 (Sotomeyer dissenting) ruled that Republican lawmakers do have authority to intervene for the enforcement of voter id laws in North Carolina.  This brings much-needed accountability to the conduct of elections.

All this goes to show that elections have consequences and that we as Christians have a duty to vote, even if none of the candidates is as pure as the driven snow.  These rulings would not have happened if Trump was defeated in 2016.  I daresay that much of today's mess would not have happened had the election not been stolen from Trump in 2020.

ALERT - Possible Disruptions At Holy Mass This Weekend. Be Prepared

In the wake of the leaked Supreme Court draft regarding Jackson vs Mississippi, a leftist anarchist group called "Ruth Sent Us" is planning to disrupt Mass at various Catholic churches this weekend.  This Sunday is Mothers' Day, to add to the irony.

Now ponder this.  Why are these pro-murder people targeting Catholic Churches?  I don't think it's simply because some of the justices are Catholic.  These pro-murder people are targeting the One True Church because she alone has the full deposit of faith.  She has the actual sacraments.  The Blessed Sacrament is housed in Catholic Churches and not protestant ones.  Abortion has always been a satanic attack on the innocent person made in the image and likeness of God.  In attacking Catholic Churches, they are violating God Himself.

If nothing else, maybe this situation will wake some of the laity out of their oh-so-blissful ignorance and apathy.

The End Of Roe V Wade?

That is what the buzz seems to be, after a draft of the opinion was (ahem!) "leaked" to the public.  While I hope that to be the case, I'm not quite ready to start celebrating yet.  As the saying goes, "it ain't over till it's over".  The decision has not been formally announced.  Many things could happen between then and now.  Perhaps that is why the draft was leaked - to prevent the actual reversal of Roe.  Some of the justices have displayed rather timorous streaks in the wake of angry BLM and Antifa types.  It's quite possible the leak was designed to motivate some unscrupulous and violent leftists into bullying the justices into upholding Roe.  I wouldn't put it past them - and I mean both the bullies and the bullied.

But let's say that Roe does go down.  Does that mean that pro-lifers can quit the fight and rest on their laurels, as it were?  By no means.  Roe only stymied the enforcement of state-level anti-abortion laws.  Therefore, by and large, our struggle will be on state-wide levels, with the landscape varying greatly between the states.  In my state of Maryland, for example, the pro-abortion populace and their elected leaders have rendered the state to be an abortion mecca.  Abortion-minded people from more sane states will come flocking here to kill their babies.  That will the state of affairs for other progressive hell-holes.

There will be much work to be done and much praying to do.  This is no time to slack off.
