The Teachings Of Jesus Christ And The Democratic Platform Are Completely At Odds

Below is the episode of the Anchor Team that aired a few hours ago.  I urge all to watch it.  Truth be told, I've seem several people who were staunchly pro-life who embraced some of the liberal tenets of the Democrats.  They have wavered quite a bit in their commitment to the babies.  In their support of Biden, Clinton and other pro-abortion Democrats, they may have endangered their immortal souls.

Hichborn and Maughan draw some distinctions between the Democrats and the Republicans.  I'm rather surprised they didn't touch on the news from Texas.  The US Supreme Court let stand Texas' "heartbeat bill" that took effect today.  It was a 5-4 decision.  During his time in office, President Trump named 3 of those 5 to the Supreme Court.  There are babies alive today because of those nominations.  Would they have escaped abortionists' clutches had Hillary been in the White House?  I think we all know the answer to that.

They do a reasonably good job in explaining Americanism.  I wish they had spent more time in dispelling erroneous notions of Americanism that are found among some traditional Catholics.  I might delve into that another time.  Here is the video.

Limbaugh Criticizes Catholics For Alliances With Democratic Party

During his broadcast today, Rush Limbaugh commented on a dialog between Sally Quinn and Carl Bernstein regarding the Papal Conclave.  Both Quinn and Bernstein opined that the Catholic Church will be "irrelevant" if they don't "include" various groups whom they feel are "minorities".  Limbaugh picked them apart, of course.  You'll hear that below.

Towards the end, you will hear Limbaugh utter his own criticism of the Church: that it "is on its way to irrelevancy if it doesn't start distancing itself from the Democratic Party and the ideal that liberalism equals charity".  And keep on listening as he excoriates all major religions for equating governmental largess with charity.

Limbaugh is not Catholic so he may not realize that the bureaucracies that bear the name "Catholic" are not one and the same with the Mystical Body of Christ.  If we think of the former as opposed to the latter while listening to Limbaugh, we can appreciate what he said.

How often on this blog have I called for the abolition of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (and the state conferences)?  Why?  Precisely because they do engage in the chicanery that Limbaugh just denounced.  They will wax hysterical over one murderer being executed yet remain relatively silent over the thousands of babies murdered each day via abortion.  Just a few days ago I posted that the Catholic Campaign for Human Development is throwing millions of dollars to help illegal immigrants skirt our laws; could not that money (Catholic donation dollars, by the way) have been put to better use with the purchase of baby-saving sonogram machines for the pregnancy centers or to have bought food for an over-stretched soup kitchen?

He probably doesn't realize it, but Limbaugh is articulating the principle of subsidiarty.  It's time we stopped looking to the government for "charity" and started getting on with the true mission of the Church, to save souls and to put social outreach in proper perspective.

Liberals, Democrats And Hell

That's the title of this Vortex episode.  There's more truth to this than some libs might care to admit!  Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

Lunch Is On The House!!

When some people say it - they mean it!  Case in point?

That would be US Representative Laura Richardson (D-CA).  The Washington Times reported last week that her local office hosted a "briefing" for 1,000 senior citizens, paid from her congressional office fund.  The Times reported the elaborate menu, with "singing and dancing" reported.  The office funds are not to be used for social events.

This is not the first such alleged abuse by Rep Richardson.  Two months ago, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington asked the FBI to investigate her use of her office staff for campaigning functions.

Such is the arrogance of the progressives (and yes, the majority of these are by and large Democrats).  They seek to pick our pockets via taxes, self-righteously claiming that they know better what to do with our money than do we.  Now we see what they mean.  They have the complicity and cooperation of their partners who run that bureaucratic machine known as the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  I hope this piece, and the Times article, sheds much needed light on these cockroaches.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you just how much that little "briefing lunch" cost us.  Sit down.  They shelled out of taxpayer funds, $20,000.00!  Let me spell that out, just to make sure there is no confusion with all those zeros.  That is Twenty Thousand Dollars!  Isn't that just....special???

USCCB's Servitude To The Democrat Party

That's what it is!  Why else do we see bishops, chanceries and state Catholic conferences wax so strident as they become the progressives' mouthpieces for issues such as anmesty and special privileges for illegal aliens, the death penalty, global warming, etc - and yet take a muted "pastoral approach" (to coin their buzz words) when it comes to intrinsic evils such as abortion, homosexual behavior, etc?

Voris has it right.  Their "voting guides" are silly at best.  Ever so careful of their "501c3 status", and ever more so careful not to offend their money-bags and sugar-daddies, they refuse to voice clear church teaching that politicians who support the intrinsic evils cannot be supported in any manner - including at the ballot box.  Since Voris goes nationwide, he is focusing only on Obama.  However, this Maryland Catholic will also add that most of the Democrat party in this state does not deserve a serious Catholic's vote.  The list of unacceptable candidates include (not limited to!) Barbara Mikulski, Martin O'Malley, Chris Van Hollen, Donna Edwards, etc.  Should you be at Mass and see on some ignorant soul's car a bumper strip for any one of these pro-abortion politicians, remember Wisdom on Windshields !  Download a copy here; print it out (preferably in color) and always carry some with you, as you'll never know who will need it.

Democrats - The Party Of Death

If there are any lingering doubts regarding the above statement, this news should dispel them.  Representative Allyson Schwartz of PA has been slated to be the direct candidate services for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.   She'll be in charge of recruiting, vetting and funding Democrat candiates for Congressional seats.  Of course she has a 100% pro-death voting record.

She also co-founded and directed - for 13 years - an abortion mill in PA.  She facilitated and made her living from the murder of babies.  Of course this abortuary, like so many others, committed its share of other crimes: assault, battery, perforated bowels and uteri, and even coerced abortions.  I put those verbs in the past tense because the mill declared bankrupcy in 2002.

The Democratic Party is literally the Party of Baby Killers.

Vortex Weighs In On Wisconsin Debacle

"It is most decidedly not the case that whatever a union does is somehow sacrosanct and beyond criticism."  That is a truth that Michael Voris makes clear in order to dispel the delusion which the USCCB seems to hold in regard to labor unions - particularly the gang in Wisconsin.  Listen as he makes clear the problems inherent in public-sector unions.

Voris makes reference to two documents.  Here is Bishop Morlino's statement.  Here is the USCCB statement.  Read both and compare.

To Mr. Patro, You Mentioned "Cooperation"

Perhaps you addressed your lecture to the wrong parties.  It's these overgrown babies, the union-idolizing barbarians below, who need to be taught the rudiments of civilized behavior.

A Squabble That Will Be Fun To Watch!

It seems that the Democrats, at least those in Montgomery County, MD, might be having cannabalistic attitudes towards one another's positions; at least, that what this week's Gazette indicates.  One set of contests might actually be meaningful to watch.  Mike Knapp, County Councilmember of Councilmanic 2 is eying Ike Leggett's seat.  Recall the county council vote a few months ago regarding the pregnancy centers; Knapp did oppose that bill.  Meanwhile, others are eying his current seat.  I suspect NARAL may have him and Phil Andrews in their crosshairs since they dared to defy them on that vote.

Otherwise, I say "Let the blood-sports begin!"

USCCB and the Democratic Party

Real Catholic TV today brings us a history lesson.  It points out that when Catholics were arriving in this country, they found that the Democratic party's principles were more in union with theirs.  However, after the 1960s, the Democrats veered leftward as a result of the so-called "cultural revolution" (more like devolvement).  The Democrats began to embrace abortion, gay rights and other moral stances at variance to those of the Church.  The relationships between Church leaders and Democratic leaders remained the same, however.  The USCCB was started at about that time, and the bishops hired many of these liberal Democrats to run the USCCB.  In other words, the foxes were given the keys to the hen house.  Please watch below.

Why the Democrats Control the USCCB

Michael Voris of RealCatholicTV.com gives an excellent historical perspective on the historical connection between the Democrat Party and Catholics - starting from the days of mass Catholic immigration to this country.  He makes plain why so many bishops want to find "common ground" with the party that has now come out in favor of baby murder, all manners of debauchery and draconian statism.  Please watch.

Note how he said that a main historical link has been the labor movement.  I've no intention of distracting from Mr. Voris' focus on SEIU, but I must make mention of a former president of the AFL-CIO named John Sweeney.  I mentioned him in my December 4th posting on why the USCCB should be dismantled.  Go to that post and read the comment from one of my fellow bloggers.  His blog is in the right sidebar.  Apparently Archbishop Wuerl decided that Sweeney needed more honors, so he gladly obliged.

I again reiterate my position that it's way past the time when the USCCB should be dismantled.  Maybe then some of the Democrats' stranglehold over the bishops might be weakened.
