Pro-Life Victory In Texas!

Despite the rather novel innovations in lobbying undertaken by pro-abortion mobs (I suppose the mob scenes, hurling of human excrement/bricks/paint, threats of gun/chain violence are now lobbying practices as far as those brutes are concerned),  Texas' late-term abortion ban was passed by the Texas State Senate.  Governor Rick Perry will sign it into law.

The bill's "onerous" provisions include:

1. abortion mills held to same standards as other ambulatory surgical centers
2. abortionist performing the murder to at least have admitting privileges at one nearby hospital (unlike Leroy Carhart - who caused another woman this week to be hospitalized)
3. abortionist him/herself administering any baby-killing drugs

Hey!  If these so-called "pro-choicers" want abortion to be "safe, legal and rare", how can they wax so hysterical about this bill?  Well, as we saw by their complete lack of civilized demeanor this week, they're only "pro-death" and abortion should be legal and forget about the "safe" and the "rare".  They are shedding their "compassionate" disguises (that didn't really work too well, when you get right down to it).

Animal House In Austin

I never saw the movie Animal House and from what I heard, I didn't miss much.  It basically featured some overgrown toddlers in a frat house deporting themselves as boorish oafs.  It would appear that the less-than-stellar examples of the Animal House characters are inspiring the pro-abort cabal in Austin Texas to display the moral and intellectual vacuity of their support for baby-killing.

Take, for example, this pro-abortion blog post about "bro-choice".  The writer, a male, warns guys of the "dire consequences" to them, should Texas' HB2 become law.  He addresses his post to "those of us guys who like girls and want to have relationships with them that may last anywhere from a few minutes to many years".  Few minutes????   Sheesh!  That's barely time to be properly introduced, and they should hop into the sack at that point???  And please, take deep breaths before reading this next terrifying "factoid".  "Don't be surprised if casual sex outside of relationships becomes far more difficult to come by!"  Oh, the horror!  To think that an actual relationship (hint!  It's called marriage!) might be a prerequisite for sex?  Whatever are these "bro-choicers" to do???  (How about growing up and acting like real men?)

But in Austin, the pro-aborts promised to disrupt the proceedings - and they attempted to bring "equipment" to do so.  Police were on the alert and confiscated some of these "props": jars of urine, feces, paint, etc.  I would say that such is the behavior of swine, but then I'd be utterly unfair to actual swine.  Who dreams up this stuff?  Think of it; they had to collect the "props" from "donors", correct?

So obviously some pro-abort activist needed reinforcements.  Therefore they went to the nearest zoo and released the apes and baboons to assist them.  My friend at Les Femmes has additional details.  But three years ago I posted a video that displayed the pro-abortion brainlessness.  I refresh your memories below.

Mob Scene In Texas Legislature - CCHD's Hand In It

Last night the Texas State Senate was to vote on SB 5, which would have forbade abortions past 20 weeks in Texas.  Pro-abortion State Senator Wendy Davis conducted an 11-hour filibuster to prevent the vote.  According to their protocol, if procedures are violated 3 times, the filibuster is declared over.  When Davis committed her third foul, that's when pro-abortion spectators in the gallery started making boors and  hyenas of themselves.  They did so deliberately to prevent the vote, impeding legislative order.  As this series of tweets shows, Cecile Richards, CEO of Planned Parenthood, egged on the debacle; she probably picked up some important "mob-action" tips from her SEIU-bigwig husband.  In that link is a youtube showing the pro-aborts, in orange shirts, howling and cackling away.

The above happened during a special session called by Governor Rick Perry.  Today he announced another special session to resume the business that was interrupted in typical progressive community-organizing fashion.  I congratulate him and trust that the rule of law will prevail.

But now comes the revelation of the ties between Wendy Davis and - wait for it! - Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  I had learned of this two years ago, but it slipped my memory until some Facebook posts jogged my memory.  Here is a post by Creative Minority Report from two years ago.  During her 2008 campaign for office, Davis had the assistance of Ralph McCloud as her campaign treasurer.  This was during (not before,not after but during) his first year as head of the CCHD.  Of course everyone on this list has seen various pieces of campaign material: flyers, yard signs, etc.  By law they all bear the name of the campaign treasurer: meaning that everyone knew that McCloud was associated with a proponent of abortion.  Read the CMR link for more details, including alleged hanky-panky.  To this day McCloud is still head of the CCHD.  McCloud helped facilitate this woman's election - and her subsequent shilling for the murders of babies as exemplified in her filibuster.  Can we trust this man with one penny of Catholic donations?  Of course not!

So we have yet one more reason to boycott the CCHD collections within the next few months.  I wouldn't be a bit surprised if more "reasons" pop out of the woodwork.

Rick Perry - Not A Pro-Life Candidate For President

Governor Rick Perry is being touted by many as being a viable GOP candidate to oppose Obama in the 2012 race.  While I applaud his stance on the defunding of Planned Parenthood, I don't believe he's the best candidate on the GOP side.

He first caused concern with his executive order requiring 12-yr-old girls to get the HPV vacccination.  He causes additional concern for me when he stated that the recent New York "gay marriage" nonsense was "fine by him".  In so doing, he cited the 10th Amendment of the Constitution.  Well, the Preamble of the Constitution states that an objective of the Constitution is to promote the "general welfare".  If Mr. Perry is oblivious to the fact that the protection of marriage as a union between a man and a woman is vital to the "general welfare", then in my humble opinion, he disqualifies himself from occupying the highest elected office in this country.  Michele Bachmann made a similar statement on "states' rights", but then she also stated that she would support a constitutional amendment to define the institution of marriage as being between a man and a woman.  I can respect her response, but not his.
