RINO Roll Call Of Infamy

As we all know by now, the Senate voted by a predictable margin of 55-45 to pass the House version of the funding bill - sans the provision to defund Obamacare.  Of course the real vote came earlier; that was the vote for or against cloture.  Ultimately the vote was for cloture, and then the results for the later vote were a given.

The Senate Conservatives Fund shows the list of traitors who stabbed not only Ted Cruz and friends in the back, but also each and every one of this.  Many of them are the "usual gang of suspects": John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, etc.  But Mitch McConnell?  Isn't he supposed to be the Republican Minority Leader in the Senate?

I'm sure at least a few of them are up for re-election in 2014.  They need to be defeated, with the rest going down in flames when they're up next.

Open Letter To Speaker Of The House John Boehner

Mr. Speaker, several weeks ago the House of Representatives voted to strip Planned Parenthood of all taxpayer dollars.  Truth be told, that vote would have been difficult to lose, since the November 2010 elections put into the House true conservatives, largely due to the efforts of pro-life and tea-party activists.

Now the rubber hits the road, as the funding must be worked out in conference between the House and the Democrat-controlled Senate.  This will be a true test of mettle, as there does exist the possibility of the US government running out of funds for the day-to-day operations.

Remarks made by you to David Brody of CBN News give many concern that you are getting ready to waver in the face of Democrat opposition.  You said, “In the short term CR though, our focus is on cutting spending and making sure that we keep the government open. In order to get this through the House and through the Senate and signed by the president by March 4th, we’re not going to take any big chances on the fact that they’re looking for an excuse to shut down the government.  Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer they’ve been rooting for a government shutdown. We do not want to give them an excuse to do that.”

Mr. Speaker, of what are you afraid?  If the government shuts down, it will be the Democrats who do that, not you.  Oh, yes, the mainstream media will try to pin the blame on the Republicans, but bear in mind that those who ushered in the biggest Republican take-over of the House in history do not take seriously the rantings of the Washington Post, New York Times et al.  Why would you?  Mr. Speaker, we of the pro-life contingent and the Tea Party contingent are sick and tired of vascillation, connivance and compromise with those who do not have at their hearts the best interests of this country, and who care even less about traditional morality and values.

You stated that "what we want to do here is win the war not just win a battle and there will be an opportunity sometime in order to win the big war and we’re looking for that opportunity."  Mr. Speaker, that's nonsense.  One does not win wars without winning battles, and to forfeit a battle will only weaken our position in the future.  Moreover, I'm mystified by your claim that "we're looking for that opportunity."  Mr. Speaker, that opportunity has been handed to you on a silver platter.  The recent exposes of Planned Parenthood offices throughout the country (some of them within 10 miles of the Capitol) have revealed Planned Parenthood to be an organization hell-bent on harboring child-rapists, sex-slave handlers and pimps - all done with over $363 million of our tax dollars!  America is finally waking up to the truth about Planned Parenthood, and the horrible monstrosity that it is!  Are you really going to squander that golden opportunity to "keep the government running"?

As I said before, we are tired of playing waiting games.  For too long, pro-life activists and other conservatives have been played for chumps - but those days are now long gone.  You urged pro-life activists to be "patient".  Mr Speaker, no-can-do!  For all this "patience" has real costs - human lives.  For the love of God, Mr. Speaker, grow a backbone!  If the Democrats want to shut down the government because they want a pimp-and-predator protection racket to receive our hard-earned dollars, then let the world see them for the snakes they are!  Don't worry about the mainstream media!  I remind you that you are Speaker of the House in spite of their machinations and conniving, not because of them.

November 2012 is not that far away.  We conservatives won the House, we almost won the Senate; we intend to finish the job in 2012, as well as disinfect the White House.  We will be watching, and we will also be alert to replace Republicans who do not stand on principle as opposed to connive for politics.  I'm stating a fact.  I and many others are most grateful for the House victory a few weeks ago, but we will not be satisified with mere symbolism; we want substance and will accept nothing less.

GOP - Will They Filibuster??

Orrin Hatch of Utah really needs to snap out of it.  He is of the old RINO school in thinking that this matter of Elena Kagan is not much more than some genteel debate.  On Thursday, he eschewed the idea of a filibuster as "an unheard of, dirty thing to do".  Uh, no it isn't, Senator!  Not when you're talking of someone who is pro-abortion, pro-gay, anti-First Amendment and anti- Second Amendment.   Fortunately, Jeff Sessions, the ranking Republican of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is open to the idea.  However, we need more teeth than that.

Ladies and gentlemen of the GOP, we are fighting for the soul of this nation.  We need you to roll up your sleeves, to be willing to get dirt under your fingernails, and to fight tooth and nail to keep this woman away from that Supreme Court bench.

There is some hopeful signs that they are waking up.  Hatch, to his credit, has stated that he would cast an opposing vote for her.  At least one pro-abortion senator is concerned enough about Kagan's lack of judicial experience and her activism that she will oppose Kagan (at least for now).

It is incumbent upon each and every one of us to contact our Senators to:: 1) voice opposition to Kagan, 2) urge the conservatives to filibuster her and 3) that your vote for the senator will depend on their resolve during this confirmation/opposition process.

Elena Kagan - Another Disaster Looms for Supreme Court - Prayer Vigil to Combat It

President Obama has nominated U.S. Soliciter General to replace John Paul Stevens on the Supreme Court.  Naturally she is pro-abortion and pro-gay "marriage".  Would the Messiah Most Miserable have nominated her if she wasn't?

The Circus Known As Illinois Politics

Alexi Giannoulias, current Illinois State Treasurer, has announced his candidacy for US Senate, to replace Roland Burris.  Burris currently holds the seat vacated by Obama, when the latter became president.  We all recall the rather strange circumstances surrounding his appointment by Governor Rod Blagojevich.

It seems that Mr. Giannoulias' family's bank, Broadway Bank, has lent many millions of dollars to various and sundry interesting individuals.  Among them is Tony Rezko, one of Obama's buddies.  Other indiviudals include convicted felons.

Of course Giannoulias is endorsed by Planned Parenthood, the SEIU and AFL-CIO.  At this time, though, I do not know the acceptability (or lack thereof) of the Republican candidate, Mark Kirk.

I realize that politics in most places is quite corrupt.  However, I don't think most places have corruption with quite the same flagrancy as does Chicago.  What with Cardinal George toadying up to Pfleger and now this revelation, it's quite revelatory to see the slime oozing from Chicago.  I pray for my faithful Catholic friends there.

Bishops to Directly Lobby for the Hell Bill??

Today's Politico tells us that "The Roman Catholic bishops signaled Thursday that if agreement is reached with House leaders on anti-abortion language, the church would work to get the votes needed to protect the provisions in the Senate — and thereby advance the shared goal with Democrats of health care reform."  Further on down the article, we read, "In November, the bishops drove a tough bargain, winning an amendment by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) that would severely restrict the ability of even private companies to provide abortion coverage under new state insurance exchanges....the bishops moved forcefully to squelch Republican efforts to derail the Stupak amendment."

"Tough bargain"?!!?!  Where are the results now of that "tough bargain"?  Moreover, in the Senate, it was not those "mean-spirited", "party-of-no" Republicans that derailed the Stupak amendment.  It was the Democrats.  Truth be told, though, the Stupak Amendment wasn't worth beans in terms of trying to put lipstick on the rattlesnake called the "health bill".

Now the bishops want to do that again?  How does that saying go, "Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me."  Now pardon me if this seems cynical, but I'm not sure who's trying to fool whom!  On the surface, it would appear that the USCCB wonks are really the lovable but hopelessly naive dolts - or are they merely playing the dunces?  Given what we've learned of the socialistic proclivities of those in high places of the USCCB, I think they're dumb as foxes - and ravenous ones at that!

The Unabashed Socialists Controlling the Catholic Bishops (another understanding of "USCCB") want this Hell Bill to pass, anti-life provisions and all.  Have you noticed that there is not the slightest peep about the myriad threats to life for the infirm and elderly?  That's because they're using abortion as a red herring, a diversion.

One of my colleagues in the Catholic Media Coaltion suggested that maybe we need to contact our bishops - much like we contact our elected officials - and tell them to stop their nefarious push for the Hell Bill!!

By the way!  The bishops worked in November to get the Hell Bill through last November.  Do you recall hearing Pelosi, Reid, Biden et al squawk about "separation of Church and State"?  Neither do I!

Hell Bill Rears Its Ugly Head

The congressional Democrat's latest trick appears to be attaching the Hell Bill to a budget bill that would require only a simple 51-vote majority to get through the Senate.  The Obama cartel is most likely going to present this to Congress as early as Monday.

This clearly is a sneak-through attempt, an attempt to avoid the necessity for a super-majority that they lost in the Massachusetts election.  This means, ladies and gentlemen, that we must melt their phone and fax lines and jam their email boxes, to let them know that we're watching their every move.

To contact your Senators, go to http://www.senate.gov/.  At the top right, you can use the search box to find your Senators.  Similarly, for your House Representative, go to http://www.house.gov/, but go to the top left.  Let's get busy!

Important Massachusetts Vote On January 19th

All the country is watching the Massachusetts election this coming Tuesday.  Martha Coakley was expected to be a shoe-in to fill Ted Kennedy's seat.  Thanks to the abominable antics of the Three Stooges (Obama, Reid, Pelosi) et al, Scott Brown is surging ahead in polls.

I realize Brown has made pro-abortion noises.  However, he and Coakley are the only two candidates on this ballot.  Evangelium Vitae would allow a vote to contain or minimize evil, if that's the only thing that can be done given specific circumstances.  Of overriding concern is that if Brown wins, Reid's fillibuster-proof majority is a thing of the past.  Do we see the Hell Bill implications of that?  In my humble opinion then, fellow Catholics, sitting out this particular election is NOT AN OPTION!

Legal/political disclaimer: Faithful Catholics of MD/DC Inc. is NOT a "501c" anything.  Therefore, politically speaking, we can say whatever we want.  Any lawyer-types looking to rake us over the coals, here's some advice - phhhft!!!

Pelosi Barely Ramrods Death Bill Through the House

As you may have heard by now, HR 3962 was passed by the House late last night by a very slim margin. The Stupak/Pitts Amendment passed earlier that evening by a respectable margin. But let's make no mistake about this. The Stupak Amendment is at best a stale doggie-bone. Make no mistake about it. IF this bill makes it through the Senate and then through reconciliation, abortion funding will be restored.

Why do I say that? Because the pro-aborts don't like the Stupak/Pitts Amendment. Planned Parenthood is now on record as opposing HR 3962. NARAL is having a similar snit-fit. Get this strange statement by Nancy Keenan, NARAL president: "This vote is a reminder to America's pro-choice majority that, despite our gains in the last two election cycles, anti-choice members of Congress still outnumber our pro-choice allies." Well, I sure wish she was right on this, because if she were, HR 3962 would have gone down in flames a long time ago. Not to be outdone by her colleagues, NOW president Terry O'Neill sniffs that, "The House of Representatives has dealt the worst blow to women's fundamental right to self-determination in order to buy a few votes for reform of the profit-driven health insurance industry."

My! Don't these feminazis have a flair for statements long on drama and short on substance? They (and we) know full well that abortion funding will be returned. For thus have these slave-drivers ordered! Make no mistake about this. Obama, Pelosi and Reid are (behind closed doors) saying to these broads, "Yessuh, Massah!" as they click their heals together Nazi-style and go do their bidding.

We will have our work cut out for us. I was at the rally at which Steve King and Michelle Bachmann spoke yesterday. I'd say a good 500 folks were there: not bad for less than 48 hours notice. We've got to keep up the momentum as the focus now shifts to the Senate. I think we can take some encouragement at the slim margin by which the bill passed. Clearly the mystique of the Messiah Most Miserable is wearing thin.
