House Democrats Make Fools Of Themselves In Slobbering Up To Feminazis

 This is from yesterday's opening prayer in the US House of Representatives.  The blasphemy is outweighed only by the rank stupidity.

I would suspect he is ashamed of himself - for using the word "Lord" repeatedly.  How sexist of him!  He needs to amend his ways!  Or is that "awomend his ways"?

Seriously though, he betrays an abysmal lack of command of the English and ancient languages, if he isn't cognizant of the fact that "amen" simply means "so be it".  The illiteracy is astounding - and sadly typical of progressives.

The Vote To Capitulate

The vote to capitulate to tyrannical bullying from the White House was conducted this evening.  In both houses, the GOP leaders shamed themselves.  I blame them more than I do the Messiah Most Miserable, for now his despotic behavior has been rewarded and affirmed by John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the RINO bunch.  Here are the roll calls:

• House of Representatives - Note that both John Boehner and Eric Cantor sold their country down the river.  They and the other 85 RINOs need to be given their pink slips in 2014.  It's bad enough that Boehner allowed it on the floor, but he added insult to injury in voting for it.
• Senate - Again, McConnell voted for it.  The RINOs here must go.

We need representatives who understand the US Constitution and who have courage of their convictions.  Of course that presupposes that they have convictions at all.  We are seeing our republic devolve to an oligarchy before our very eyes.  Will enough of us wake up in time to halt this deterioration?

Who Needs Pro-Aborts When We Have The USCCB??

One would have to be an ostrich with head in dirt not to know that we are in the midst of a budget showdown with the Messiah Most Miserable.  The GOP in the House seems to be showing some backbone in insisting that abortion and Obamacare be defunded - period.  The pro-abortion Democrat party has flat-out said (mostly through Reid) that they'll shut down the federal government rather than defund abortion.

Comes now the USCCB, bemoaning the governmental shutdown, whining about "the poor and vulnerable" who might be hurt by a shutdown.  Read this "action alert" from the USCCB.

I've got some clear-cut suggestions for the USCCB.

• There's something called the principle of subsidiarity that the bishops insist on forgetting.  Well, amongst other things, this principle lays the care of the poor at the feet of the Church, not high levels of government.  The USCCB cannot abdicate this responsibility.
• If the USCCB is concerned about the poor and vulnerable, they might do well to remember the poor and vulnerable babies that governmental funding would murder.  They should then raise loud and courageous voices to join ours in insisting that abortion be defunding - and that's just for starters.

House Votes To Repeal Obama Hell Scare Bill

As announced yesterday, the House of Representatives held the vote.  I am happy to report that they voted to repeal it.  The 245-189 vote was mainly along party lines; when the roll call is available, I'll post it.  My congratulations to Speaker Boehner and all who worked to bring this repeal bill to the floor.

Now all eyes are on the Senate.  Conventional wisdom holds that they will scuttle the bill or vote it down.  However, there are Democrats who are up for reelection in 2012.  Not all of them are stupid; they realize why many of their colleagues are not included in the 112th Congress.  Perhaps they aren't prepared to seal their own professional fates, the whining of Obama and Reid notwithstanding.

This will be interesting to watch.  Moreover, this gives us reason for prayer.

Prayers are also needed for one group of individuals who are not entirely happy with the prospect of the Hell Bill being finally overturned?  Who might that group be?  The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops!  Insisting that "health care is a basic human right",  they want to "improve and correct serious moral problems in the current law".  They don't accept the truth that socialized medicine is a serious moral problem!  When will they learn?

The pro-abortion and abortion-apathetic establishment in the DC area (and the nation) are shocked - just shocked, I tell you! - that the results of their advocacy are being displayed for all the world to see.  For the tiniest microcosm of the reactions, go to my earlier post and read the comments, and do the same for Jill Stanek's posts.  Clearly they don't want their consciences stung, but it's only the guilty conscience that can be stung.  Is the populace at large uncomfortable and even grieved?  It should be.  Remember, though, it's not the discomfort or grief that's the problem; it's the underlying evil of abortion that must be eradicated.  For that to happen, there must be deep-seated repentance on the part of many - including the politician who passes abortion-permissive laws, the bishops and priests who refuse to obey Canon 915, right on down to the "ordinary citizen" who won't be bothered to give a damn about the murders occurring at the abortuary less than a mile from his/her home.

There is mass media coverage being given to these ads.  The Washington Times did a piece on Missy.  It also disclosed the abysmal treatment that she is receiving from the DC Republican Party.  Paul Craney, the executive director of the DC GOP, went so far as to ask Missy not to run for that seat.  Mind you, there never was another Republican bucking for that nomination.  He'd rather have no one run than have to face that elephant in his living room.  He admitted so much when he said, and I quote from the Times article, that abortion "is an issue we have skirted because it needs a well-thought-out plan."  (Correction: this "skirted" quote came from Tim Day, one of the GOP candidates for City Council)  "Well-thought-out plan" my arse!  Talk about a lame cop-out!   Mr. Day, Craney et al, it's called the GOP party platform!  Have you read it?  Do you adhere to it?  The answer to that second question is obviously a big, fat "NO".  He has lots of company - the Montgomery County GOP chairman likewise doesn't adhere to the platform - per a public confrontation that I had with him in spring of 2009, but I digress!  Needless to say, people like Craney and the rest of the GOP establishment are why there's a Tea Party movement.

Hell Bill Rears Its Ugly Head

The congressional Democrat's latest trick appears to be attaching the Hell Bill to a budget bill that would require only a simple 51-vote majority to get through the Senate.  The Obama cartel is most likely going to present this to Congress as early as Monday.

This clearly is a sneak-through attempt, an attempt to avoid the necessity for a super-majority that they lost in the Massachusetts election.  This means, ladies and gentlemen, that we must melt their phone and fax lines and jam their email boxes, to let them know that we're watching their every move.

To contact your Senators, go to http://www.senate.gov/.  At the top right, you can use the search box to find your Senators.  Similarly, for your House Representative, go to http://www.house.gov/, but go to the top left.  Let's get busy!

Did you note, by the way, that Murtha doesn't know simple math?  When asked if 1/6 of the chamber needs to be present, he replied only 1/5.  In other words, he said more needs to be present and actually further incriminated himself.  By the way - this is the fellow that "pope" Pelosi wanted to be Majority Whip.  Murtha was defeated, giving Pelosi a major defeat - not that Steny Hoyer is much better.
