The March 7 SOTU Address - Or Shilling For The Dead-Beat Vote

To augment my Lenten mortification, I decided to watch the recording of Biden's little screed.  Just an FYI, I watched it as it appeared on the White House's site, so no mean old right-wingers tampered with it!

I will leave off (for now) the demonic pledge to further normalize child-slaughter in our legal landscape, along with sexual perversions of every sort.  Obviously that came as no surprise.  I will touch upon one thing that shows his contempt for the average American citizen as he vowed to facilitate financially irresponsible behavior.

He pretended to champion the plight of impovershed people as he pledged to have late payment fees on credit cards slashed drastically.  Now no one likes paying late fees on their bills, but may I suggest a simpler way to avoid them?  Brace yourselves, for this is probably a revolutionary and certainly controversial concept!  Ready?   Here it is!

PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME!

If you do that, you'll pay zero dollars in late fees.  Thank me very much!

Anyone who signs up for a credit card agrees to the terms, and those terms include the provisions for late fees, interest, etc IF the card issuers don't receive timely payment.  Stop whining and crying if you're late, in violation of your agreement, and are levied the penalties.  Put on your big-boy/big-girl/big-whatever-mythical-gender-or-species-you-fancy-yourself-to-be pants and pay up.  Take your lumps like an adult and learn from your mistakes.

But Plugs wants to coddle the late-payers.  Does he really think the card issuers will just swallow the lost revenue?  Of course not.  No business can survive without recovering their costs.  They'll just increase the merchant discount fees and those merchantes will, in turn, pass those costs onto all their innocent customers.  I know I'm bursting some fantasy-bubbles here, but that's life in the real world.  

Of course, Plugs and his progressive sycofants don't deal with reality.  That's just another reason to vote them all out of office come November.

That means that we don't sit out this election, for the progressives and their dead-beat dependents won't.

When One Promotes Abortion, They Become Childish And Uncivilized

Proof?  It was on national TV tonight, just at the end of President Trump's State of the Union address.  First, she failed to introduce him as protocol requires of the House Speaker.  She pouted through the entire address  Then, on national TV, she did this to her copy of his speech.

Seamless Garbage Contributes To Episcopal Brain Rot

In last night's State of the Union address, President Trump announced a plan to usher 1.8 million illegal-immigrant "dreamers" towards citizenship and to keep their nuclear families intact.  Obviously taking their cues from the sourpusses on the Democrat side of the chamber, the USCCB announced that they were "deeply troubled" about the plan's "impact on family unity".  What?  Trump said he'd keep nuclear families intact.  He simply said "chain migration" would end, meaning that an immigrant could not pull over his third cousin twice removed.  This is not rocket science.

Bishop Vasquez of Austin Texas made these remarks.  In his embrace of "seamless garment" no-holds-barred illegal immigration, he also revealed his abysmal ignorance regarding the nature of the Church.  He claimed that "family immigration is part of the bedrock of our country and of our church".

Family immigration, or any immigration, is part of the bedrock of the One True Church?  Excuse me!  Can anyone cite the support for that from any dogma?  Any Church fathers?  Our Lord founded the Church to save souls.  That's it!  Anything else, be it hospitals, schools, charities, etc is ancillary to that one all-encompassing mission - to save souls from damnation and to lead them to heaven. 

Those embroiled in "seamless garbage" organizations discount the Church's sole mission.  That's why they count gays among their boards of directors.   That's why they divert from truly intrinsic evils such as abortion, contraception, homosexual conduct and focus attention on matters that at most, fall into the realm of prudential judgment.  Bishop Vasquez and most of the higher-ups in the USCCB do exactly that, as they pander to governmental and Soros-related sugar daddies.

Pray for these bishops, but please never put another red penny in any USCCB-related collection.

O'Malley Supports Draconian HHS Mandates

This he stated quite clearly on Candy Crowley's "State of the Union".  I won't rehash the entire thing here, as the transcript has it all (that part is in the latter half).  I'm sure, though, that any bishops reading this will appreciate being advised that the majority are "hyperventilating..Republicans".  Well, at least that's what our less-than-illustrious governor says!

Last week his wife Catherine called defenders of traditional marriage "cowards" (you may recall the reference in the video on Saturday's post).   Then the guv himself lets loose with this stinker.  The O'Malleys seem to be suffering from "foot in mouth disease" - or perhaps just plain arrogance.  They'll be gone from the State House in 2014.

Of Keystone And Contraception

Several days ago, Obama put the kibbosh on the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to Texas.  It would have brought a plentiful supply of oil and gas into the country while creating thousands of jobs in the process.  Alas, it ran afoul of global-warming-hoax believers and some environmental groups.  So he bowed to the envirowhackos and turned his back (once again) on the country at large.  He and Sebelius also are moving to compel people of conscience to pay for coverage for contraception and abortifacients (see previous post).

On the surface, these two issues appear to have nothing in common - unless you ponder the likely motives of the Messiah Most Miserable.  However, consider that: in both scenarios, he is completely disregarding the legitimate interests of the majority of American citizens to satisfy radical elements of his electoral base: the global-warming envirowhackos on one hand and radical abortion supporters on the other.  Also consider the timing.  Does anyone really think it's a coincidence that he's paying obeiscance to these radical components of his base at a time so close to the November elections?  Moreover, he is scheduled to deliver the State of the Union address tomorrow evening.

You may rest assured that tomorrow's address will be not much more than poltical grand-standing.  Dare I predict that he'll spend a goodly bit of time braying about the Keystone stoppage and the HHS draconian measures?  I predict that he'll be thumping his chest about both of these acts of supreme stupidity.

Do you remember the line where he said, "That's why we've excluded lobbyists from policymaking jobs, or seats on federal boards and commissions."  Well, go to the Les Femmes blog, where you'll see the bevy of lobbyists that Obama has placed in high positions.  The list goes on and on and on.  Is that "change we can believe in"?

On Nauseating Display Last Evening - The Audacity of Dopes

Last evening the Messiah Most Miserable delivered his first State of the Union address.  It was probably a tad more revealing than the more astute among the "culture of death" devotees would have wished.  One can read the text of the thing from the White House website. 

By the way - did anyone take notice of how Pelosi kept jumping out of her seat to applaud, like a jack-in-the-box?  Perhaps "pop goes the weasel" has quite a bit of meaning here!  Poor Biden!  Of course he had to drag his bones out of his chair to follow suit, as the cameras were turned on them.

For starters, I'd like to examine this snippet of the thing.  "So, no, I will not give up on trying to change the tone of our politics. I know it's an election year. And after last week, it's clear that campaign fever has come even earlier than usual. But we still need to govern.  To Democrats, I would remind you that we still have the largest majority in decades, and the people expect us to solve problems, not run for the hills. (Applause.) And if the Republican leadership is going to insist that 60 votes in the Senate are required to do any business at all in this town -- a supermajority -- then the responsibility to govern is now yours as well. (Applause.) Just saying no to everything may be good short-term politics, but it's not leadership. We were sent here to serve our citizens, not our ambitions. (Applause.) So let's show the American people that we can do it together. (Applause.)"

Let's examine the "tone of our politics", particularly in terms of the Hell Bill.  It's no secret that the Republicans have been locked out of any meaningful participation in terms of the construct of this thing.   Just today we read in the Washington Times how the House Republicans are practically pulling teeth to have the White House release records of meetings with health industry groups as they helped Democrats plop together this stinker of a bill.  It sounds like the "tone change" had better start in the White House.

He then chides the congressional Democrats for what he calls "running for the hills."  Actually, what the Messiah calls "running for the hills" is what they should have been doing all along - listen to the people who elected them.  What the President erroneously calls "solving problems" is actually disregarding the people and arrogating massive amounts of authority away from the people to Washington.  The recent elections sounded an alarm, one that the President arrogantly ignores as he demands that the Democrats fall on their swords to fulfill his lust for power.

Then he tells the Republicans that now that they've broken the supermajority (again, though, the people did that), they now "have the responsibility to govern".  What am I missing here?  Am I to believe that up until Scott Brown won Kennedy's old seat, that, in Obama's fondest dreams, the Republicans were to have no such responsibility or voice in Washington?  Did we just witness an inadvertent admission of the President of his not-so-secret desire for a puppet Congress?  Where, oh where, was all this "bipartisanship" that the Messiah promised us during his campaign?

It's getting late, and I must touch on other things.  More will be said on this most telling of talks.  I'll end by appending a youtube of an open letter that Rush Limbaugh sent to the Messiah in response to last night's debacle.
