Please also notice how she says "you don't have to be good", in direct contradiction to Our Lord's admonition to "be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect".  That is found in Matthew 5:48.  By the way, Our Lord used the word "Father", not some androgynous gobblygoop.  This woman McBride holds a number of position, including Director of Campus Ministry at St Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland Ohio.  She is leading many young impressionable people astray.  Pray for their protection and her repentance because "if anyone causes these little ones - those who believe in me - to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." Matthew 18:6

Here is yet another.  Father Martin is being none too discreet about things now, is he?  Why is he getting bolder and more overt about his disregard for God and how He calls Himself?  Usually these progressives wax pompous about respecting people's "chosen pronouns".  Doesn't God Almighty deserve at least that token of respect?

Meanwhile, Pope Francis is trying to scare us about the climate-change hoax.  Borrowing nonsense from Al Gore and Barack Obama, he "warns" of a "great flood" due to "global warming".  Ironically, he does this while casting doubt on the historical accuracy of the flood report as found in Genesis.  However, also in Genesis is God's promise never to again destroy the world by means of a flood.  So is the pope saying that God could renege on His word?

These progressives are being more blatant about their contempt for the Faith because they think they can be.  However, they also serve to make plain their absolute lack of spiritual, intellectual and moral credibility.  Nothing they say can be taken at face value, for they are false teachers, wolves in shepherds' clothing indeed.

Jesuits Thumbing Their Noses At Our Lord Jesus

For quite some time now, the Society of Jesus has shown itself to be a society not of Jesus.  There have been exceptions in the form of faithful Jesuits but these are few.  Now some Jesuits - among them the new head of that order - are setting themselves above Our Lord in their own perverted estimations.

The new head is Father Arturo Sosa Abascal.  In an interview he claimed (quoting from LifeSiteNews) that "the words of Jesus against divorce are relative and must be discerned according to the conscience of each individual."  He's straight-out saying that if one's "conscience" doesn't approve of clear commands from Our Lord (such as His commands against fornication and adultery), then we are not duty-bound to obey Him.  We in essence can be our own little "gods".  This, in a nutshell, is the heresy that was once called "situation ethics".  We've heard that lots recently.  It was only last month that Cardinal Wuerl force-fed that poisonous brain-rot to young impressionable seminarians of his archdiocese.  But this is not a new problem by any stretch.  Mankind first encountered that temptation in the Garden of Eden.  Read Genesis 3:5, where the devil deceives Eve by telling her that if she sins, her "eyes will be opened and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil".

So there you have it from the head of the Jesuit order.  We know that desire to supplant God is at the basis of all the blather about "pastoral" and "discernment" and "accompanying" that pours forth from the Jesuit who is Pope Francis.  For those of you who insist on chanting the "pope can do/say no wrong" mantra, let's see if Abascal remains in his post.  If he remains, then we have yet more proof of the pope's own mindset.

Let's move on to Father James Martin, editor of America progressive rag.  He recently accepted an award from New Ways Ministry, a cabal of faux-katholycs who shill for homosexual perversion to be normalized.  After President Trump announced that he was reversing Obama's transgender bathroom order, he waxed indignant that transgender people were restricted to using bathrooms designated to their biological sex.  Normal, sane people would rejoice at this triumph of mere common sense, let alone Catholic morality.  Not so Father Martin.  From LifeSiteNews we catch a sampling of the tweets that he put out to whine about the matter.

As you read that piece, you'll notice that Father Martin, while accepting his bauble from New Ways, praised the "special gifts" of homosexuals.  Now when did we hear that sort of language in the not-too-distant past?  If you said, "from the interim relatio from the Extraordinary Synod on the Family" you are correct!  In that report we see this language: "postive aspects of homosexual relationships", "valuing homosexual orientation", etc.  Anyway, Father Martin's pro-pervert sentiments are troubling; if nothing else, they pose great scandal for those who may be wavering on the precipice of such temptations.  Along those lines, Michael Voris publicly asks Father Martin a question.  Will he answer?

St. Ignatius Of Baltimore - EGG On Its Face, Mortal Sin To Its Charge

Two months ago I wrote of St. Matthew's Church on Loch Raven Boulevard in Baltimore.  It is infested with those promoting the mortal sin of homosexual perversion - and that includes the pastor!  When I wrote that piece, I indicated that I'd write of another sin-swamp parish and now I'll do so.

This den of iniquity is called St. Ignatius Catholic Community.  It's on Calvert Street in the Mount Vernon area.  It touts itself as "the Jesuit Church of Baltimore".  I might say that would explain a lot of what I'll detail, but then what's the excuse for the malfeasances of St. Matthew's?

St. Ignatius also has a "gay ministry", that is, a group that will lull to sleep what remains of the consciences of homosexual Catholics so that they can commit mortal sin with their consciences effectively paralyzed.  Of course in committing these sins, they are greatly increasing their chances of incurring the pains of hell in the afterlife.  The pastor and other leaders of that parish, being answerable to God for the souls in their charge, will likely have hell to pay (literally) if they don't change course while they're still on this side of the grave.

You should have the St. Ignatius site open in its own window.  Let's now take a tour, shall we?   Go to the top menu and hover your mouse over "ministries".  Click on "community building".  A new page opens up and you'll see on the left something called "Embracing God's Gifts" (EGG).  This is St. Ignatius's "gay ministry".  How did they come to adopt this title "embracing God's gifts"?  I have a theory that I think is entirely plausible.  Recall the Extraordinary Synod on the Family that occurred in October 2014.  Readers of this blog will recall that an interim report was released by the Vatican; I'll link to it on the Vatican website.  I refer you to paragraph 50, where the pope seems to be condoning homosexual conduct.  (For those interested, here are some archives for review).   If anyone ever wanted prima facie evidence of the harm caused by the pope's ambiguity, here's a prime example.

Let's examne the EGG page.  There is a video where Gordon Creamer (director?).  He talks of celebrating "gifts and contribution of gay and lesbian members"; he's hearkening back to paragraph 50 of the sin-nod's interim report.  Notice the "mission statement" that rolls by in "star wars" format.  Notice how it acknowledges being informed by church teaching, as opposed to being formed by Church teaching?  That difference is quite telling.  Then of course we have the loaded language of "open-mindedness" and "compassion".  At 2:34 Creamer states that "at various meetings we often study the Church's..body of literature".  Did you notice that moment of hesitancy?  Was he catching himself before he uttered the word "teachings" as opposed to "body of literature"?  He goes right into a book called "Fortunate Families".  I believe it's this book; it was on the table in the video.  Here is the website to "Fortunate Families".  This organization seems to be comprised of parents who are capitulating to the mortal sins in which their children are embroiled.  What they display is not charity, but cowardice and dereliction of duty.

Looking further down, we see that they have their monthly meetings and "pride cookouts" and even a "pride prayer service".  From the bulletin we see that they actually meet in parish offices; the announcement can be found right above the yoga announcement.  I now point you to an article published by New Ways Ministry.  If it can be believed (and that might well be the case), then the Archdiocese of Baltimore knows of the state of affairs at St. Ignatius and is, at the very least, turning a blind eye to the spiritual wreckage occurring at that church.  Such appears to be the case at St. Matthew's.

Let's go back to that "ministries" menu and look at "social responsibilities".  There's lots of indications that St. Ignatius falls into lockstep with the progressive agenda being promulgated.  For instance, if we look at the "economic justice"page, all we see are calls to lobby various governmental bodies for income/wealth redistribution.  No where do I see any calls for the parishioners to contribute to this "economic justice" out of their own means.  Then there's the obligatory call for amnesty for illegal aliens and such.

Now guess what's missing from that page?  I knew it wouldn't take too long to guess!  Yes!  There's no mention whatsoever of the greatest social injustice of this day - the slaughter of unborn children under the guise of legalized abortion.  With all these "ministries", where's the pro-life ministry?  The lack of such an endeavor tells me that this parish, by and large, simply doesn't care about authentic social justice nor for the teachings of Jesus Christ Himself.  Correction - it's there but you have to scroll down a good bit to see it.

I'm going to point out a seemingly unrelated incident.  It's not really unrelated as I'll elaborate in a few minutes.  On Friday, a 23-year-old seminarian was taken into custody at a San Diego airport.  He allegedly was en route to Mexico to engage in sexual acts - with helpless infants.  Yes, he was a Catholic seminarian who was about to engage in acts of brutal perversion.  One might wonder how such individuals can be so corrupted, or how the seminary did not screen him during the application process.  But all we need do is consider the corrupt parish life of parishes such as St. Ignatius, St Matthews and other "gay-friendly" parishes throughout the country and we needn't wonder.  If our parishes and dioceses aren't purified of this corruption soon, we can expect to see more such scenarios.

Two Views Of Thomas Merton: Jesuit Versus Jesuit

We know how one Jesuit gushed over Father Thomas Merton two weeks ago, calling him "a source of spiritual inspiration and guide for many people".  I speak, of course, of Pope Francis' address to the US Congress during his trip here.

Another Jesuit Tries To Justify Disobedience To God's Immutable Laws

Somethimes half-truths are worse than complete falsehoods.  With the latter, there is no mistaking its nature for there is no disguise.  With the former, there is the use of things truthful in and of themselves to lend credibility to the falsehood contained therein.

Father James Martin engages in half-truth double-speak.  While it's completely true that Jesus reached out to the marginalized and met them where they were, He never permitted them to remain in sinful states.  He always made clear the need for repentance.  Father Martin makes no mention of the need of gays to repent of their dangerous and sinful lifestyles.  In so doing, he seduces them to remain in their squalor, whether or not that is his intention. 

The first video (after the jump break) is Father Martin's nonsense.  The second is a Stoplight episode featuring Stuart Shephard.  In it, he uses a humorous analogy to explain why the gay lifestyle (among other things) will never be normative, no matter how some (such as Father Martin?) may pretend it to be.

Another Georgetown Jesuit Plops A Stinker

The Creative Minority Report uncovered an astounding video of statements made by Georgetown's Associate Dean and Director of Catholic Studies Fr. Ryan Maher, S.J.  According to this reputed son of St Ignatius Loyola, “Our job as educators and as priests is not to bring God to people, or even to bring people to God. God’s already there and the people are already there. Our job, our way, of living out our educational vocation is to ask the right questions, and to help young people ask those questions."  Dear Father, you are also tasked with articulating the answers to those questions, as well.  To the next priest yammering on about "interreligious dialog", your sacred commission is to proclaim unambiguously that Jesus Christ is the Way, Truth and Life, and that the Roman Catholic Faith contains the fullness of Truth that no other does.  By the way - get those Muslim prayer rugs OUT of the Catholic chapels now!

Gender Confusion Within The Church

No, I'm not referring to gays, "transgender" folk or anything else of the sort, so there's no need for my progressive lurkers to get themselves worked up in a blather.  The true situation, unfortunately, is even more basic than that, as my blogging colleague, "Good Jesuit, Bad Jesuit" makes plain.

It seems that Rev Thomas J. Reese, S.J., erstwhile editor of America (until ousted by Pope Benedict XVI), has stuck both feet into his mouth - and apparently swallowed!  "Good Jesuit, Bad Jesuit" reproduces some of Reese's remarks that he made at a forum on December 5th.  The most insipid of these is, "maybe God knows what she's doing."  That's right!  Father used a female pronoun while referring to God.  As a commenter says, since Jesus referred to the Father as a male, the Church will follow suit.  We must conclude one of the three following regarding Father Reese's remarks.  Either:

• Father is suffering from extreme gender confusion when it comes to God, or
• Maybe the "god" that Father worships does present itself as female.  In that case, the "god" is either a figment of Father's imagination or something far more sinister
• "Good Jesuit, Bad Jesuit" took his information from this National Catholic Reporter article.  Knowing that publication's progressive leanings, perhaps someone at NCR tampered with the transcript of Father's remarks.  If so, though, how is it that no one else at NCR caught such an error?

No wonder Pope Benedict XVI relieved him of his editorial responsibilities at America.  Recall that was one of the Holy Father's first acts during his papacy.  Now Father occupies that dissent-den known as Georgetown University.

St Ignatius of Loyola

Today is the feastday of the founder of the Society of Jesus, commonly known as the Jesuits.  If you've read this blog for any length of time, you know the problems that too many Jesuits have posed for the Church recently - from the drag show at Santa Clara University to the pro-abortion Sister Carol Keehan giving the commencement at Gonzaga High.  To get a sampling, just type the word "Jesuit" in the upper left-hand box next to the "magnifying glass" icon and click the icon.

One crucial Jesuit debacle I never touched upon involved Father Robert Drinan.  Many of us remember him as the priest who served in the US House of Representatives in defiance of his order (who of course demured to discipline him) and who supported, and voted for, the Freedom of Choice Act.  See Catholic Culture's account of the mess.  After all was said and done with that debacle, Drinan spent his final years at (bet'cha can't guess!) Georgetown University.  When he passed away several years ago, he was given a lavish public Catholic funeral - much like his protege, Ted Kennedy.

That's right - protege.  It seems that Father Drinan played a key role in goading the Kennedys into adopting a pro-abortion position in their political careers.  Read this account of their Hyannisport Meeting.  This one priest seems to have been instrumental in launching one of the deadliest pro-abortion political careers in Washington, DC - that of Ted Kennedy.  No doubt he had his nefarious influence on others.

Getting back to Saint Ignatius, let us ask him and his saintly spiritual sons to pray for their wayward order.  Particularly invoke St Francis Xavier and St Aloysius Gonzaga, as institutions named for them have been particularly besmirched.
