HR 6666 - Covid Is New World Order Excuse To Control Us Via Tracing

I will preface this with some warnings, the reasons for which will be clear in the presentation.
  • Do NOT submit to "testing" unless obviously sick with symptoms.
  • Do NOT allow any "tracers" into your home.
  • Do NOT download any tracing apps to your phones.
Now I present the video, with important information following.

The bill to which Weston refers is HR 6666.  Here it is, as posted on Congress' web site.  Below is the text of that bill.  My colleague at Les Femmes posted it too, with pertinent points highlighted, so I'll just borrow her text.

Obviously what should be added to the list above is to tell your representative that you oppose this bill and they should also vote to oppose it.  We should all also contact the House Energy and Commerce Committee for that is where its initial hearings are being conducted.

H.R 6666

Jesuit Kiss-Up To Islam In Wake Of Orlando Massacre Follows Progressive Script

In the Jesuit progressive rag known as "America", we read an article - on the heels of the Orlando shootings - entitled "Shall We Fast In Ramadan?".  Of course it's written by a Jesuit.  In a saner time, the majority of Catholics would have responded to that question along the lines of "HELL, NO!!"  Leaving aside (for the moment) the tenets of Islam that call for butchery, rape of women, jihad, etc, we as Catholics cannot affirm in the slightest one single act of idol worship.  And yes, "allah" is a false idol, if not an actual demon.

Yesterday Attorney General Loretta Lynch let loose with the preposterous claim that the motive of Omar Mateen "may never be known".  She preferred to use this massacre to shill for "gun control".   She also announced that when transcripts of Mateen's conversations are released, they will be scrubbed of any references to his Islamic mindsets.   Got that?  She claims that Mateen's reasons "may never be known" while at the same time obfuscating all evidence that make his jihadic motivations obvious to any but the most self-deluded progressive (such as the writers and staff of America).

This isn't the first time she's done damage-control for Muslims.  Last December she hinted that the Justice Department could investigate speech "hostile towards Muslims".  After that went viral on the internet, she had to do some damage-control for herself and attempted to back-pedal.

It really is disappointing to watch Catholic publications fall lock-step behind the most godless administration in the history of the United States of America.  Sadly it's not surprising.

Gianna Jessen Rightly Rebukes The Pope - Father Z, Take Note!

My post from Friday stated quite clearly that there would be immense fall-out from the heresies regarding marriage and fornication that the pope recently uttered.  Father Zuhlsdorf also posted that day; while he seems to understand the nature of the errors, he takes a recklessly dismissive attitude regarding the harm that not only will but is in fact happening right now.  Behold his closing statement: "Don’t have a spittle-flecked nutty.  Just shake your head with a smile as you flip to another page and say, 'Bless him, he sure likes to gab with people, doesn’t he!'”

Bear that most irresponsible suggestion in your mind as you read this statement from Gianna Jessen from her twitter feed.  Many in the pro-life movement are familiar with Ms. Jessen,  In the late 1970s she survived her mother's attempt to abort her via saline abortion.  She has since gone on to be an advocate for the pre-born and for disability rights (she has cerebral palsy as a result of the abortion).

Is that what Father Zuhlsdorf would call a "spittle-flecked nutty"??  I don't believe Ms. Jessen is Catholic but I can be fairly certain her sentiments are echoed by thousands who, attempting to live Christian lives (Catholic and Protestant), have once again found themselves mocked by the current occupant of the Chair of Peter.  We should be able to expect far better than that.  Recently, when Bishop Robert Lynch announced his retirement, Bobby Schindler issued his own statement saying, "in my family's experience, Bishop Lynch was like the man spitting in the hand of a person in need."  When the pope puked out the heresies regarding both marriage and fornication, he too spit into the hands of those looking to him for spiritual nourishment.  In Matthew 7:9-10, Our Lord spoke of those parents who give bread and fish as opposed to stones and serpents.  Last Thursday we were all handed a bunch of stones and serpents.

We also read in Matthew 18:6-7 Jesus' rebuke of those who cause scandals, saying that "it were better for him had a millstone be hanged about his neck and that he should be drowned.."  Was Our Lord simply having a "spittle-flecked nutty"?  He took scandals quite seriously.  It would behoove us to do the same.

Lynch, Other Weak Bishops Spout Liberal Talking Points In Wake Of Orlando Murders

Bishop Robert Lynch of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, FL once again showed himself to be a puppet of the progressives when he blamed the Orlando gay club massacre on - the Catholic Church!  Long-time readers of this blog may recall the many times that he's run afoul of the teachings of Jesus Christ.  He is most infamous for his conduct when Terri Schindler Schiavo was being systematically starved and dehydrated to death (that is, murdered) within the bounds of his diocese.

This Brietbart article links to Lynch's blog post in which he attempts to throw the Church under the bus, saying that the Church "breeds contempt for gays, lesbians and transgender people".  As the Brietbart article points out, Lynch made no attempt to explain how the Muslim jihadist could have been motivated by the Church in anything since he was a devout Muslim who wouldn't have dreamed of setting foot in a Catholic Church.

There might be a reason why Lynch is trying to discredit the Church's teachings regarding homosexuality.  Randy Engel pointed out that Lynch had to deal with his own scandal regarding homosexual dalliances fourteen years ago.  Given his own obvious proclivities, we can guess at the motivations behind his dissent from Church teaching about marriage.  Could it be that this massacre provided him an opportunity to try to discredit the Church?  That seems to be more his focus as opposed to the actual Orlando situation itself.

Recently Lynch retired from leadership of the St. Petersburg diocese.  Read here to see commentary from Bobby Schindler, the brother of Terri Schiavo whose murder was aided and abetted by Lynch.  Regrettably Lynch is not the only progressive prelate to start spouting the progressive talking points like a good little puppet.

In addition to praying for the salvation of all the souls who died in Orlando (for many of the victims as well as the murderer were engaging in mortal sins), we need to pray that these wolves in sheep's clothing find repentance and conversion themselves.

How Faithful Catholics Can Do Operation Rice Bowl - #no$2crs

Today is the first Sunday of Lent.  On this day, the ubiquitous cardboard "rice bowls" from Catholic Relief Servcies are in all Church lobbies to be picked up by unsuspecting parishioners.  I say "unsuspecting" because many, if not most, of these parishioners have no idea that CRS is funding the distribution of contraception, abortifacients and "population control" propaganda to the people whom they are ostensibly assisting.

The Lepanto Institute has done stellar work in exposing the malevolence of the Catholic Relief Services.  They recently published a piece outlining some of their most egregious violations of Catholic moral teachings.  In that post, Hichborn published a slip that can be used during CRS collection times.  Please keep that page open; I'll return to it in a minute.

Hichborn didn't include every wrong of the CRS in his litany; others can be found here (and this is most likely not exhaustive either).  Let me highlight a few other "lowlights" from CRS's checkered record.
  • Thanks to Lepanto, we learned that a CRS vice president was "married" to his accomplice in the mortal sin of sodomy.  The man made no secret of it, blasting it all over his twitter page.  It was only after public scrutiny was brought to bear on the situation that the man resigned.
  • In 2005, while Terri Schiavo was being deliberately starved to death in the Diocese of St Petersburg Florida, the local bishop, Robert Lynch gave thinly-veiled approval to her murderous husband to have his way with her.  At the time, Bishop Lynch was chairman of the board of CRS.  That brings us to the third "bullet".
  • The pro-euthanasia crowd in Florida was being heavily funded by George Soros during the struggle for Terri's life.  If you read the link from the second bullet, you'll see that Soros was also funding CRS (along with other progrssive "katholyc" organizations).
  • Please read my anthology of prior posts and follow the links to learn more of CRS.  Clearly they are utterly unworthy of one penny from faithful Catholics.
So how do we faithful Catholics do Operation Rice Bowl?  First, we give them not one red cent.  As Lepanto stated in that first link, there will be more information released; I'll notify you as it becomes available.  So here are the steps to our Operation Rice Bowl.
  1. Pick up one of those "rice bowls" from your church lobby and assemble it.
  2. At the bottom of the Lepanto article is a note that you can use to let CRS know why you'll not contribute.
  3. Place that note in your now-assembled "rice bowl".  I intend to sign mine, but that's optional.
  4. When your parish announces that it's time to return the rice bowls to church, please do so.  Yours will have the note and no money.
Like most progressive "katholyc" organizations, the only language CRS seems to understand is that of $ka-ching$.  Well, let's speak it and encourage all faithful Catholics to do the same.  Give the money that you would have donated to CRS to a worthy organization, such as your local pro-life pregnancy center.  Please spread the word on your own social media cites and among your contacts.

Pro-Aborts And Vatican Progressives Lash Against Those Who Speak Truth

It seems that if Archbishop Fisichella has his way, Yours Truly (and others) will be excommunicated for speaking the truth about the grievous errors that are pouring forth from the Vatican on a daily basis, with a goodly portion of that error coming from the pope.  In the same breath with which he spoke of this "year of mercy", he said that those who speak out against the pope's errors are guilty of "physical violence" and might require the ministrations of these specially-commissioned "missionaries of mercy".   Fortunately, this nonsense from Fisichella appears to be its own collection of many errors; Dr. Ed Peters, canon lawyer, did an analysis that showed Fisichella's claims to be in contradiction to canon law.

While I'm sure that won't stop Fisichella, it does show how hollow are his veiled threats.  I suspect that won't stop him or his buddies from attempting to silence us and prevent us from upholding Catholic truth.  Similar things were accomplished in the Archdiocese of Washington over three years ago.  In my own parish, at the beginning of Lent, Father Marcel Guarnizo denied Holy Communion to a flagrant lesbian, thus upholding Canon 915.  When she went pouting to the Washington Post, Bishop Knestout - with the approval, if not direct order, from Cardinal Wuerl - stripped Father Guarnizo of his faculties and apologized to the lesbian for the attempt to prevent her from committing sacrilege.  She made no secret that she wanted to destroy Father Guarnizo.  Had Father been incardinated in this diocese and not elsewhere, I'm sure that the cowards of the DC chancery would have fallen all over themselves to do her bidding and laicize Father.

On another front, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch (a Minion Most Mindless if ever there was one) threatened to "take action" against "anti-muslim speech".  Apparently the Messiah Most Miserable is quite adept at picking officials who neither know nor respect the US Constitution that they are sworn to uphold.  Now, after a well-deserved drubbing after her tyrannical remarks, she appears to be back-peddling a bit.  Too late, Toots!  You're wise if you don't overreach yourself but now we know how your brain ticks (using the word "brain" loosely).

Do you see a pattern here?  Progressive lemmings ensconced in high places, be it the Vatican or Washington DC, are lashing out against those who are exposing their chicanery.  When the light shines, cockroaches run and they resent those who shine it.  Perhaps we prick their consciences when we do, or simply make it harder for them to do their misdeeds under scrutiny.  By God's grace, we must be doing something right; their rage and venom is proof.  Hopefully they'll learn and be converted to real Christianity.

From The Francis Effect Department: The Pope Openly Affirms Dissenters

With yesterday's post by Father Clovis fresh in our minds, we must consider even more manifestations of the progressive rot that is within the Vatican, regrettably validated by the Holy Father himself.  Today came the news that the pope appointed Father Timothy Radcliffe to the post of Consulter for the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace.  Father Radcliffe was a former Master General of the International Order of Dominican Preachers.  He came under fire for his advocacy of gay sexual relations and women's ordination.  Below I'll post a Vortex video from some years back that details the many problems of Father Radcliffe.  I suppose his appointment is not too surprising, given what the typical Jesuit these days considers the concepts of "justice and peace" to be.

In the United States we see the "Francis Effect" emboldening more progressive bishops to act out in their disobedience.  A few days ago we learned that Bishop Robert Lynch of the Diocese of St Petersburg (FL) has effectively stopped the offering of Mass in the Extraordinary Form in two of the three parishes in which they were offered.  Essentially he is acting in disregard to the Summorum Pontificum enacted by Pope Benedict in 2007.  I've written before about Bishop Lynch's many derelictions and lapses of judgment - including his enabling of the murder of Terri Schindler Schiavo in his diocese.  Why that man still sits as bishop is beyond me.

The Vatican's embrace of envirowhackoism - and population control - on which I reported copiously last week, is costing the Church credibility in the eyes of reasonable people.  We see in Western Journalism how Cliff Kinkaid wonder if "The Catholic Church Has Gone Socialist".  Mr. Kinkaid's concerns are quite understandable.  While the Church in her Tradition roundly condemns socialism, the recent actions of this pontiff betray a seeming sympathy, if not allegiance, towards that anti-Chrisitan mindset.

Sadly, I'm sure this won't be the last such post.  We must pray and speak out.  Now the video regarding this new "Consulter for the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace".

Now A Prelate Utters Yet Another Horrid Statement

Nearly nine years ago in the Diocese of St Petersburg, Florida, Terri Schiavo was deliberately starved to death by order of her adulterous husband.  Jeb Bush, current presidential wanna-bee, was governor at that time and did nothing of substance to save her life.  He has demonstrated his utter lack of moral courage and his ineligibility to be considered presidential material, but that topic will be saved for another time.  We now turn our attention to Bishop Robert Lynch.

Bishop Robert Lynch was the local ordinary at that time, and still is.  Not only did he stand by and do nothing, but he issued a statement that literally gave Michael Schiavo a blessing to continue to murder his wife.  He uttered not one peep of condemnation for the murder that was taking place in his own diocese.  Read the incredible statement here.  I might also point out that he forbade his priests to minister to Terri in her last days.  After her death, he would not allow the Schindler family to conduct any memorial service in his diocese.  HOWEVER - he did allow Michael Schiavo to marry his long-term concubine in a diocesan church.  What a guy!

Fast forward to today.  Bishop Lynch is undoubtedly participating in the "maturation effort".  Remember - Pope Francis said we had one year to mature before the next October synod!  On Tuesday he issued a statement in which he opined that the Church needs "humility in light of same sex marriage".  You might be wondering just what the hell he means by that; well, read on.  Here's a choice statement that begs for unpacking.  "Therefore, I do not wish to lend our voice to notions which might suggest that same-sex couples are a threat incapable of sharing relationships marked by love and holiness and, thus, incapable of contributing to the edification of both the church and the wider society."
  • "Threat"?  I won't comment on the individuals involved per se.  We cannot deny that their sodomite situations are serious threats - to the concept of marriage, family life and yes, to those participating in those perverted relationships.  Those engaging in such sins threaten their immortal souls and those with whom they claim to be "in love".
  • incapable of sharing relationships marked by love and holiness  Indeed they are that incapable.  There is no "love and holiness" in mortally sinful situations.  If they continue to live that way, they are headed for hell. By their sin they disdain the graces needed for true charity and holiness.  Did Bishop Lynch flunk his Baltimore Catechism lessons?
  • contributing to the edification of both the church and the wider society  What they are "contributing is NOT to the "edification" of anything.  Rather, they are part and parcel of the culture of death and damnation.  Suffering for them can only result in this life and much more so in the afterlife IF they don't repent of their sin and go to confession.
Besides his cheer-leading for the sin-nod (as you can see in his statement), Bishop Lynch may well have other reasons for shilling for the acceptance of the gay lifestyle.  In Randy Engel's book The Rite of Sodomy, she details Bishop Lynch's own sordid escapades.

Nine years ago Bishop Lynch gave de facto blessing to Michael Schiavo as the latter had his wife murdered.  Tuesday he did the same for those living in sodomy.  Will his brother bishops rebuke him?  I wouldn't hold my breath, but would love to be pleasantly surprised by such actions.

Pray for Holy Mother Church and her leaders.  Shine the light of truth.

Long Knives Out For Another Good Bishop AND Franciscan Friars Of The Immaculate

We've seen the unceremonious sacking of both Cardinal Burke and Bishop Livieres of Paraguay.  Now it looks as though Bishop Robert Finn is the latest in the progressive cross-hairs.  Eponymous Flower has listed some of his accomplishments in the Diocese of Kansas City - St Joseph.  Here are a few (please read the whole list)
  • Promoted Summorum Pontificum and offered the Extraordinary Form of the Mass
  • Raised vocations to a 40-year high (Bishop Livieres did that too.  Is increased vocations now considered to be a liability in the Church of Nice?  I suppose so, if the young men are orthodox).
  • One that EF missed is that he formally asked the "National Catholic Reporter" to stop calling itself "Catholic", owing to its embrace of heresy and dissidence.  No doubt that set some teeth on edge at one of the "church of nice's" favorite rags.
Finn's administration has not always been stellar. In 2011 he failed to report to the authorities a priest who had pornography on his computer.  But why is Finn being fly-specked while someone like Bishop Robert Lynch of St. Petersburg FL is given a free pass?  Remember that the latter had to spend thousands of dollars to various, uh, "partners" in legal settlements AND he gave the green light to Michael Schiavo as the latter murdered his wife Terri in his diocese.

The Vatican recently sent Ottawa Archbishop Terrence Prendergrast to "investigate" Bishop Finn while the latter was in Rome.  His investigation basically consisted of polling people by asking "do you think Finn is fit to be a leader"?  There's no hint that Prendergrast was the slightest bit interested in the 2011 incident.  So what is that about???

That's the story of the Vatican progressives baring their teeth at Bishop Finn.  Now let's look at their ongoing malicious vendetta against the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate.  Six of the Friars had sought incardination under other bishops and were awaiting dispensation from their vows to the FFI.  They did not receive those dispensations.  Rather, they received suspensions "a divinis".  That is a sanction reserved for the most grave matters; moreover, it is a sanction that is subject to strict due process under canon law.  Commissioner Fidenzio Volpi observed none of the due process regulations; he delivered the suspensions with no regard to the processes of Canon Law.

None of this is any accident.  Moreover, it is unreasonable to presume that Pope Francis had no knowledge of these matters.  Some, in attempts to give to the Pope the "benefit of the doubt" have to resort to all manners of denial and logical contortions to the point of engaging in intellectual and yes, spiritual, dishonesty.  It's high time that rose-colored glasses were stripped from all faces.  If we're going to lift up our Church and her leaders in prayer, we must be relentlessly honest about the faults of all concerned.  Else our prayers will be so much pious but ineffectual fluffy-puff-stuff.

Diocese Of Charlotte Tosses Another Under The Bus

It was just over two months ago when Sister Jane Dominic Laurel was disgracefully treated by the Diocese of Charlotte for presenting Catholic teaching on various aspects of sexuality at Charlotte Catholic High School.  The progressives among the parents, rebuked for their support (if not commission) of mortal sin, bared their teeth and made clear their hatred of Sister and others.  Bishop Jugis wasted no time in toadying to that crowd and effectively had Sister Jane's career - if not vocation - shelved.

But apparently that wasn't enough for the de facto lynch mob.  More had to pay the price for confronting them with truth.  From Catholic Culture we read that Jerry Healy resigned his position as principal of the school in May, with allegations now appearing of "misuse of funds".  Ladies and gentlemen, of course it is simply the strangest of coincidences (ahem!) that these events are occurring within such short time spans.  Of course I'm being sarcastic.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to surmise that Mr. Healy is simply the latest sacrificial lamb to be slaughtered by the powers-that-be in the Charlotte diocese to appease the ravenous dissidents whose consciences are still smarting from the truth proclaimed by Sister Jane.  The "misuse of funds" sure seems to be a handy alibi; who is buying it?

Does any scintilla of courage and fidelity to the Magiserium exist at the Diocese of Charlotte?  Or will they continue to cower and toady to the progressive dissidents among them?

So Bishop Robert Lynch Is Ashamed?

From his Sept 1st posting on his blog, the bishop of St Petersburg (FL) says, "I am ashamed to say that the Catholic Church in the United States sadly gave President George W. Bush largely a free pass in Iraq."

His Excellency would do far better to be ashamed that he himself gave the proverbial "free pass" to Michael Schiavo as the latter went about murdering his invalid wife Terri within the borders of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.  His conduct eighteen years ago was an absolute debacle, coming from a successor to the Apostles.  I too oppose the proposed strike in Syria, but Bishop Lynch's words ring hollow and shallow in light of his gross dereliction of duty towards Terri Schiavo.

Now CRS Plays The Hypocrite

AKA Printing and Mailing operates out of Frederickburg, VA.  It is owned and operated by Hugh Brown, son of American Life League's president Judie Brown.  During the past four years, Catholic Relief Services had used AKA's services, paying them over $7 million during that time.

Comes now the news that last September, Bishop Gerald Kicanas, board chair of CRS, ended the contractual relationship with AKA because of ALL's critique of CRS's aiding and abetting the pro-abortion activities of its partners.  No one denies that CRS has the right to select its own vendors, but this incident illustrates how far CRS has sunk in the hole of duplicity.  Consider that AKA Printing and American Life League are two separate entities that happen to be run by different members of the same family.  There is no corporate relationship between the two, nor is there commingling of funds.  Yet CRS has discontinued its relationship with one on basis of the actions of the other.  Contrast that with its own relationships with CORE and PSI.  Obviously there is commingling of funds donated by CRS with funds designated for the promotion of abortion and contraception.  By what mental gymnastics does CRS justify such contradictory behavior in itself?

Bishop Kicanas' actions as CRS board chair are rather reminiscent of the actions of a previous CRS board chair, himself a bishop.  I speak of the despicable conduct of St Petersburg Bishop Robert Lynch and his callous treatment of the Schindler family as Terri Schindler Schiavo was being murdered in his diocese.  Recall that while Lynch offered no opposition to Michael Schiavo's murder of his wife, he forbade his priests from speaking out and from offering the Schindlers any spiritual support.  Granted Lynch was not acting in his capacity as a CRS official, but the same progressive brain-rot is evident.  This is all about attempting to punish those who proclaim truth - even if it means retaliation against family members.

Bishop Lynch Defends Soros-Funded Catholic Relief Services

In the past few weeks Catholic Relief Services has shown its true colors (that is, anti-God and anti-life colors) by allowing, if not outright directing its personnel to distribute abortifacients in Madagascar.  Of course it earned well-deserved rebukes.  The progressive cartel within the bowels of ecclesiastic bureaucracy seemed to have received their marching orders and speaking points for now they are leaping to the defense of those USCCB organs that are funneling money towards the culture of death.

The latest to attempt "damage-control" is none other than Bishop Robert Lynch of the Diocese of St Petersburg FL.  I now link to an article that he posted on his blog this past Wednesday.   I won't pick apart the whole thing, lest I be here all night.  But I will point out one or two things, in light of his own chequered past.

He snidely refers to the Population Research Institute (a branch of Human Life International) as "an allegedly pro-life group" and many others (probably Yours Truly) as "notoriously and consistently wrong entities who thrive on attacking the Church or its entities".  If he's looking for examples of malfeasance by "allegedly pro-life entities", perhaps he need look no further than his own doings eight years ago.

It was a little over eight years ago that Terri Schindler Schiavo was murdered - "legally", of course - within his own diocese.  Not only did he do nothing to prevent it, but he went so far as to suggest that the final word regarding Terri's fate "rightly" lay in the hands of her murderous husband who was already living with his then-concubine.  One year later, American Life League interviewed Terri's family and posted it online.  It details further insulted meted to the Schindlers by Bishop Lynch.  And the bishop has the audacity to say that we are the allegedly pro-life ones???

But perhaps there's more to Bishop Lynch's posturings than meets the eye.  As with many things progressive these days, there seems to be a common denominator.  That "common denominator" has a name - George Soros.

My Catholic Media Coalition colleague, herself a Florida resident, posted an article sometime before Terri died that examines some of the key villains in that situation and some of the money trail.  Yes, Bishop Lynch is one of the villains.  To supplement this article, I'd suggest reading this blog piece entitled Soros and Schiavo.  This delves more into the history of George Soros' involvement in the pro-euthanasia movement in the US.

But anti-life groups aren't the only recipients of Soros' largess!  Why, he's been known to give to Catholic groups, too.  Well, some "katholyc" groups - those that serve as fronts for the Culture of Death!  Five years ago, Discoverthenetworks detailed how Soros money had infested the Church.  Chris Korzen of Catholics United tried to deflect some criticism of Bill Donohue by whining that Soros "contributes to Catholic Charities, Catholic Relief Services and Catholic Legal Immigration Services".  Donohue erred a bit by implying that those three weren't apologists for abortion.  Perhaps Donohue had not heard that Catholic Charities of Richmond VA was under federal investigation for paying for a minor's abortion (with full knowledge of Richmond Bishop DiLorenzo).  And of course Donohue's statement was long before the CRS aided and abetted murder in Madagascar.

Now perhaps the reader is wondering why I italicized the words "Catholic Relief Services".  At the time that Terri Schiavo was being murdered in Florida, guess who was the board chair of CRS?  Yes - Bishop Robert Lynch.  Please don't tell me he had no idea whatsoever of the Soros money flowing into CRS coffers - and probably still is.  In situations such as this, another version of the "golden rule" is in force, that is, "he who has the gold, rules".  As long as they accept Soros "gold", they accept Soros "rule"; sadly I think they accept both all too willingly.

Disgraced Bishop Lynch Defend Catholic Relief Services

I say Bishop Robert Lynch of St Petersburg Florida is disgraced because of his abysmal conduct during the de facto murder of Terri Schiavo in 2005.  Recall that the protracted murder happened in his diocese.  Not only did he refuse to intervene on behalf of the Schindlers but he essentially gave aid and comfort to Michael Schiavo, the murderous spouse.

During that time period, he was chairman of the board of CRS.  During Holy Week of 2005, when Terri was in her final days, Bishop Lynch left the area, allegedly "on CRS business".  It is a violation of Canon Law for a bishop to be absent from his diocese during Holy Week.  Are there other reasons why he had to flee the heat, as it were?

At any rate, please read the LifeSiteNews article for more detail on Bishop Lynch's pathetic lashing out at the truth.  He claims we're criticizing CRS because we want to "raise money".  Seriously?????

Please note that the collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development for the Archdiocese of Washington is this weekend.  Please boycott it - say #no2cchd.

What's The Point, Asks The Vortex

Today's Vortex touches upon the chequered careers of two prelates that are drawing to their ends due to their impending retirement ages.  One of them is Bishop Robert Lynch of St Petersburg, FL.  I agree that Lynch's blog post is dopey enough, but that was not the "lowest of the low" for Bishop Robert Lynch.

It was in his diocese, under his (supposed) watch, that Terri Schiavo was allowed to be brutally murdered via dehydration and starvation.  Bishop Lynch went so far as to rebuke those who endeavored to save her life for causing "lack of peace".  He forbade his priests from offering comfort to the Schindler family (they did have assistance from a priest attached to the Military Archdiocese).  When it was evident that Terri would die during or after Holy Week, he fled his see - in direct violation of Canon Law.  And while he wouldn't allow her parents use of a Church for any sort of memorial service, he did allow her murderous husband Michael to marry his fornication partner weeks later in a Catholic Church.  What a guy!

Good riddance to Bishop Lynch.  May he spend his upcoming retirement in prayer and reparation.

Voris Nails The Liberal Bishops Again - CRS Part Of Problem

In this Vortex, you'll hear more expose on the overly-chummy relationships between the progressive/atheist elements and the liberal bishops.  Note that at the 6:10 mark, Voris points to the "ever-growing scandal at the Catholic Relief Services" - more on that after the clip.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Last month I reported on a most serious CRS scandal, where CRS was caught giving $5.3 million to CARE, a group distributing contraception and abortifacients to women in developing countries and lobbying for abortion.  You'll notice John Rivera, communications director for CRS, commenting on my post.  In actuality, all he was doing was posting some standard talking points, one of them a misquote of John Haas.  Mr Haas himself refuted that.  Rivera tried the same trick on Michael Voris; happily it backfired big-time.

Naturally CRS has questionable leadership.  See this post from last year on their CEO.  Recall also that in 2005, while Terri Schiavo was being slowly murdered in Florida, the local bishop, Robert Lynch, refused to assist her and made clear his sympathies were with the murderous husband.  Bishop Lynch at the time was board president of the CRS.

Now we jump forward to present, because several other scandalous associations of CRS to pro-abortion groups have been uncovered.  The Redstate blog gives the details.

Catholic Relief Services is a dues-paying member of CORE, (to the tune of $3k/year) and several CRS officials co-chair CORE's HIV/AIDS "working group" and sit on the board of directors of CORE.  Over 50% of its budget funds "family planning" and contraception.

CRS forks over another $3k/year in dues to MEDICAM and is a member of that organization's steering committee.  CRS participated in MEDICAM's Position Paper for 2011.  Note that "NGO Best Practice Component 4" is "safe abortion".  The Redstate blog lists other occasions of CRS joining in MEDICAM's advocacy of abortion.  Please research them.

There are some who argue that the Catholic Relief Services is an organization that has stood above the scandals that have plagued CCHD and Catholic Charities.  Sadly such is not the case.  They too are funneling money (largely from donations of Catholics or from federal funding, that is, your tax dollars) to organizations that serve the culture of death.  Whereas the CCHD funds inimical organizations within the United States, it seems that the CRS is sending money to equally deadly organizations outside the US.

US Bishops Complain About Us Bloggers

At a convention of the Catholic Media Association (not to be confused with the Catholic Media Coalition, of which we're a proud member), Bishop Gambino Zavala (auxiliary of Los Angeles and chair of the US Bishops' Communications Committee), had some things to say about Catholic media - and blogs such as this one in general.  His comments about us bloggers:
