Reason # 5,289 To Boycott The CCHD Collection - Say #no2cchd

Aleteia published a piece today by Steve Weatherbe entitled "Bishops React to Obama's Executive Order on Hiring Discrimination".  The article offers commentary on the USCCB's reaction of July 21 to Obama's action.  It's worth noting that one of the two authors is Archbishop Lori of Baltimore - who just applied for a federal grant to finance his aiding and abetting of illegal aliens.

He too seems to see through the smoke and mirrors that the USCCB is throwing up in the wake of this order.  They know that the federal funding spigot is about to be closed.  He quotes a statement by Michael Sean Winters of the Not-At-All Catholic Reporter: "Call me foolish, but I find it astonishing that a statement signed by an archbishop and a bishop on behalf of other bishops fails to mention God, makes no reference to the Bible, and is so utterly devoid of pastoral sensibility. This is the work of a lawyer, not a bishop."

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe this is the first time that I find myself in agreement with Winters.  They are not acting as successors to the Apostles.  Another "case in point" many years ago was the so-called "child-protection policies" crafted to ostensibly deal with the clergy sex-abuse scandal.  In the one found on the Archdiocese of Washington's site, not one mention of the words "sin" and "repentance" could be found.  They act like politicians, lawyers, insurance agents, social workers - anything but Catholic bishops!

Weatherbe also points out the reaction of Father Larry Snyder, president of Catholic Charities.  Apparently, Father is quite pleased with the executive order as it stands.  Now bear in mind that 67% of Catholic Charities' budget is funded by the US government.  A reasonable person might assume that Fr. Snyder would be concerned that his funding would be significantly reduced.  But he's not!  Why could that be?  I can think of only two reasons:
  1. Father Snyder is hopelessly naive in thinking that federal dollars don't come with strings, OR
  2. Father Snyder has no intentions of running counter to the "directives" to admit actively gay people into Catholic Charities circles.  They pulled out of gay adoptions, but that was largely at the orders of individual bishops.  Who can forget the lobbying firm, owned by an openly gay man, that they retained in 2011?  I'm also posting a video below in which Sister Jeannine Grammick of New Ways praises Catholic Charities for being gay-friendly; regrettably, she's probably correct.
Guess which of the two I think is most likely the case?  Do we think it will be different for Catholic Relief Services or the Catholic Campaign for Human Development?  I certainly don't: especially when they're playing "henchman" for the Obama cartel's Central American human trafficking.

Next month the Archdiocese of Washington will have a second collection for the "Catholic Communications and Human Development Campaign".  It'll be during the weekend of Aug 9 - 10.  This is the third year, I believe, that they combined the CCHD collection with that of the Catholic Communications Campaign so that the name of the CCHD collection could be disguised.  As a further step in the deception, the ADW moved the CCHD collection from November to August.  The CCHD collection had come under well-deserved scrutiny and probably shrunk as a result.  They can't fool us.

I am urging a boycott of the second collection during the weekend of August 9-10 in the Archdiocese of Washington.  It is the CCHD collection.  Those of you in other dioceses should check to see when your CCHD collection will occur and boycott that.  Most are still in November, but some diocese have moved the collection.  At any rate, just say #no2cchd.   Now the video.  It's from last year, but quite relevant today.

Use Alinsky Bucks To Say #no2CCHD

For most dioceses across the nation, November is the time when the annual CCHD shakedown will occur during the second collections.  As one might expect, the CCHD continues to divert Catholic dollars to organizations that are part and parcel of the culture of death.  There is no reforming that monster.  The Catholic Campaign for Human Development, along with the even more monstrous United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, must be consigned to the dung heap of infamous history.

Please go to Lepanto Institute's site to read the latest on CCHD and to print out your supply of Alinsky Bucks.  Download them for future use.  If you'd prefer another note to put in your cchd envelope, here's a possible alternative.

Learn more about the CCHD and its nefarious origin.  I've done some research on it, as has Lepanto Institute, Catholic Media Coalition and others.  Learn why we must say #no2cchd and give that money to organizations that will further the Faith and the Culture of Life.

Just Say No To CCHD

My archdiocese (of Washington) had their CCHD collection last August.  They tried to camouflage it by calling it "Communications and Human Development" but I don't think they're fooling too many people anymore - if they ever really did.

The majority of US dioceses still retain the November date as their CCHD collection.  Over the years many of us have pointed out that the CCHD collection funnels Catholic dollars into organizations that foment the Culture of Death.  I join my Catholic Media Coalition colleagues in saying #no2cchd.  Here is a press release from CMC president Mary Ann Kreitzer.  Read below that for an additional comment of mine.

“Just Say No!” to the CCHD Collection
November 11, 2014

Most Catholic dioceses around the country will take up the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) collection later this month. CCHD professes to assist the poor, not by direct charity, but by developing projects that enable the poor to help themselves. While CCHD uses development grants to promote the collection, the bulk of donations goes to community organizing groups that agitate for a leftist agenda in direct conflict with Catholic teachings. Over the years controversy about CCHD has continued unabated because of this reality and the bishops' failure to institute change. Many Catholics will remember the millions of dollars funneled to ACORN before its scandalous activities leading to the mortgage and bank collapse were exposed. Several times, CCHD has pledged to reform, but, despite short-term improvements, its direction remains unchanged. Abuses continue and, according to Stephanie Block, an expert on Alinskyian organizing, CCHD, under the guise of "charity," channels money solicited from the faithful into groups that promote abortion, contraception, homosexual activism, socialist economic policies, etc.

In a recent report Block wrote:
In fact, 50% of the 2013-2014 CCHD grants have been given to Alinskyian organizations! This doesn’t include an additional award of $300,000 to one of the Alinskyian networks at its national level, nor $500,000 to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to restructure its approach to include community organizing and political advocacy, and $500,000 to the California Catholic Conference which has been forced to battle U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) mandates that would force Catholic institutions to purchase health insurance that covers abortion. This latter would be a positive development if it weren’t for all the millions of dollars CCHD poured into California Alinskyian organizations to “advocate” for universal health care legislation regardless of any “reproductive justice” components.

Block reaches this conclusion:
For forty-four years [CCHD has] shamelessly pushed aside any corrective reform efforts, expanding its Alinskyian networks into more cities and exporting the twisted theology of Alinskyian organizing into other countries.
So, no, the CCHD hasn’t reformed, not even a little…and it doesn’t intend to reform.
Catholic Media Coalition and its individual member groups urge Catholics in the pew to "Just say NO!" to the CCHD collection this month. Give your hard-earned money to groups that really serve the poor.

I'd only add one thing.  Let the church know why you won't give them money.  You might wish to use the note below or write something of your own.  Please give that money to a truly worthwhile charity.  Say #no2cchd.

Operation #no2cchd Is Launched!

I address this mainly to my readers in the Archdiocese of Washington, but others should take note as well.

In the Archdiocese of Washington, the second collection for the Masses of Aug 10-11 will be for something called "Communications and Human Development".  It's really for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  In recent years, the CCHD has garnered some very bad publicity - and yes, the CCHD has earned its terrible reputation in spades.  I suppose the collectors think that by obfuscating the name of the collection that they can somehow bypass the bad press and fool Catholics into donating.

We are in the process of spreading the word.  A few days ago we mailed to almost 900 people within the archdiocese a postcard (linked here) to remind them of the terrible record of CCHD.  I understand that some have received their postcards already.  As the postcard suggest, please visit the sites of www.reformCCHDnow.com and www.CatholicMediaCoalition.org, as well as previous postings on this blog (see here and here for starters).

Now it's time to take action!  What to do?
  1. Distribute copies of the postcards.  I'd think it most convenient if you'd print your own copies (download the pdf in the first link) to educate your friends and fellow parishioners.  Please do so before the collection weekend.
  2. Spread word of the existence of ReformCCHDNow.com, CatholicMediaCoalition.org and this blog so that others can avail themselves of the research contanined therein.
  3. Use social media to spread word of the boycott.  It would be helpful to use the hashtag #no2cchd in your Facebook and/or Twitter messages.
  4. Questions/comments/suggestions?  Please post via the comments.
  5. Above all, pray that the Lord have mercy upon those who exploit His Church for anti-God causes and that evil be expunged from this Bride of Christ.

PS
We all heard that Pope Francis told young Catholics to "shake up the dioceses" and "make a mess".  I have one objection to that?  Why invite only young people to have "all the fun"?  We middle-aged and older coots have been making respectable messes for some time now.  To be more precise, we make messes of messes.  That's precisely what we hope to accomplish with the debacle known as the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

Operation #no2cchd - Home Stretch For Archdiocese Of Washington

Anyone following this blog is aware that CCHD is not only rife with problematic funding; it was established to provide that problematic funding for those problematic purposes.  They hope to fool as many good Catholics into donating to it as they can.  The CCHD of the Archdiocese of Washington has even gone so far as to tweak the name of the collection to "Communications and Human Development".

The collection for the DC area is this weekend.  But again, if you've been following this blog, you know that and perhaps have even seen the postcards.

I pray that you are not going to give them one cent of your hard-earned money.  Instead, give your donations to a real charity that performs the Works of Mercy and at least doesn't act contrary to the Church's moral teachings.

So you'll go to Mass tomorrow and that second collection basket will pass by you.  You can either drop nothing in it. However, I'd suggest that you drop a note in the basket explaining why you won't donate to this collection.  If you need a suggestion, please feel free to download and print the following picture.

For those of you in other dioceses, you too may find this useful as it is not specific to the Archdiocese of Washington.  While Operation #no2cchd might conclude tomorrow for the DC area, it will still be in force for other dioceses.  Most collections remain scheduled for November, but check your own local calendars.

CCHD And CRS - And Time To Boycott The CCHD Collection Again - Say #no2cchd

My Catholic Media Coalition colleague Stephanie Block recently published an article entitled "What Is Going On With Catholic Relief Services?"  I urge all to read it, as well as previous blog posts here regarding this entity.  She points out that CRS has a history of providing only real aid to needy people overseas, but has been going astray since it started receiving government funds in 1961 and then it started spouting "community organizing noises" like its CCHD cousin.  So what induced CRS to accept government funds?  I suspect such acceptance was merely par for the course, owing to the fact that CRS, like CCHD, is under the direction of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  There are some who hold out a hope that these two organizations can be reformed.  Not I.  The entire USCCB needs to be tossed into the garbage.  But that is way in the future.  Right now we have another related duty that requires immediate attention.

Right now the federal government is operating under reduced capacity.  While the federal government has shut down many times in the past, never has it shut down under such a petulant man-child like Barack HUSSEIN Obama.  Life could go on as normal were it not for the fact that he and his Minions Most Mindless, particularly those in the Senate, are doing all they can to maximize discomfort to vulnerable people: aged veterans, military families, etc.  All during this, though, folks are beginning to wake up to the fact that Obamacare will be an unprecedented disaster.  But how did Obama get to the position that he currently holds?

In large part, we have the Catholic Campaign for Human Development to thank/blame for this mess.  Over the years, they have diverted millions of dollars (mostly collected during the November collection) to "community organizing" organizations who have in turn helped Obama and other progressives advance their political careers to where they know are in positions to inflict incredible damage.  Think ACORN, Gamaliel Foundation, PICO, etc - just a few of the recipients of Catholic cash.  Put "Catholic Campaign for Human Development" or "CCHD" in this blog's search box for much more information (actually, those phrases are hyperlinks).

Traditionally the CCHD collection was held in November throughout the US.  Because of the well-deserved criticism and the resulting boycotts of the collection, some dioceses have been holding their collections at other times (and even disguising the names, as did the Archdiocese of Washington) to catch us off-guard.  The DC collection was held in August, but was met with our "say #no2cchd" campaign.  Most of the nation's dioceses, however, will still conduct their CCHD collections in November - in other words, next month.  Click on the above link for more information.

Perhaps if the CCHD collection had dried up a few years ago, Obama's career might not have gotten off the ground.  Let's ensure that no other progressive lout derives benefit from our collection dollars.

This Weekend - Say #no2cchd In The Archdiocese Of Washington

In the Archdiocese of Washington, the second collection this weekend will be for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).  This blog and others have detailed how the CCHD has funneled money to pro-abortion and sodomite-supporting organizations.  Have they improved?  Well, we don't know; their grantee report from last year seems to be, uh, "unavailable".

Instead of money, drop a note in the basket explaining why you'll be diverting your donation dollars elsewhere.

Baltimore CCHD Directly Funding Promotion Of Contraception And Abortifacients

On the website of the Baltimore CCHD is a list of its grantees for 2013.  Notice under "local grants" that $13,000.00 of donations bilked from Baltimore-area Catholics went to an organization called New Lens.  They appear to be a youth-targeting community-organizing bunch that specializes in the usage of new media to sell its philosophies and wares.

A look at New Lens' "projects" sub-page gives more detail regarding the misuse of Catholic donations.  They work with "a wide variety of organizations and topics".  These organizations include Planned Parenthood and ACLU.  Using their new media training, proteges of New Lens have produced a video about "making good contraceptive choices for the Health Department of Baltimore City".  Now ponder this, if you will.  Catholic donations are being used to shill for contraceptives and abortifacients, and this promotion is then being donated to the City of Baltimore?  It's bad enough that the City of Baltimore would do this deed on their own, but now Catholics are donating to this over and beyond their tax dollars?  Ladies and gentlemen, how many things are so wrong with this picture???  Anyway, here's the results of Baltimore Catholic dollars - promoting contraception and abortifacients.  Now here's another video, a joint effort of New Lens and Planned Parenthood, called "Birds and the Bees".  If you do watch this, pay attention to the girls on the swings.  There is an outright lie regarding Plan B; it acts by inhibiting implantation of the newly-conceived child into the uterus.  That is an early abortion.  The video ends by thanking Planned Parenthood of Maryland and referring additional questions to them.  So Catholic dollars are purchasing free advertising for the death peddlers known as Planned Parenthood.

UPDATE - Michael Hichborn of American Life League has placed much of the New Lens information into a Power Point presentation.  The pdf of that is located here.  Please download it for your reference.

I understand that the Archdiocese of Baltimore will hold its in-pew collection for the CCHD during the weekend of Nov 23-24.  Might it not be time to say #no2cchd?

ADDENDUM
I forgot to provide some historical perspective.  This is NOT the first time that Baltimore CCHD directly funded immoral activity.  Four years ago this blog reported that Baltimore CCHD funded a local ACORN office that James O'Keefe targeted in one of his stings as ACORN staffers advised him on "best practices" for running a brothel filled with underage girls.  The post is here.

With this in mind, we cannot reasonably ascribe the New Lens funding to inadvertent error.  Think of it; I and others easily exposed New Lens as peddling instruments of baby-murder.  A little "due diligence" on the part of Baltimore CCHD staff would have revealed the same information.  Do we really believe that people with any modicum of intelligence and integrity would not have learned from their lessons of four years ago?   In all honesty, I believe that Baltimore CCHD directors are completely complicit in funding grave moral evil.  Do we have all elements necessary for mortal sin to have been committed - in the name of the Archdiocese of Baltimore?

Baltimore Catholics, please boycott your CCHD collection.  Say #no2cchd.

If You Saw Our Postcard

Welcome to this blog, if this is your first visit.  We are dedicated to reminding one and all of the timeless truths of our Faith and to bringing Catholics back to fidelity to the Magisterium.  That includes reminding of the primacy of the sanctity of life and family in matters of morals, as opposed to dilution and even pollution with other issues that can be a segue into socialism and eventual atheism.

The postcards that you may have seen, either in the mailbox or at church this weekend, are part of an effort to thwart the siphoning of Catholic resources that would otherwise be surreptitiously sent to organizations that are opposed to Catholic moral teachings.  The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), since its inception, has been an avenue for diverting the donations of sincere Catholics towards causes that they no doubt would find abhorrent.  You might remember that a few years ago, a "community organization" known under its acronym "ACORN" was involved in massive voter-fraud schemes in several states.  They were also shown to be coaching (undercover agents posing as) pimps into "best practices" for running brothels.  During the past few decades, the CCHD has funneled millions of dollars towards this nefarious organization.  We had been pleading with CCHD to cease these grants, but their ears were deafened to us.  Only when these scandals made national news was CCHD shamed into defunding ACORN.  However, CCHD continues to fund many other questionable organizations.

I link now to a previous post.  It was written just after we released our postcards into the mail.  In that post is a downloadable link to the postcard, as well as links to valuable background information regarding the CCHD.  Please take the time to study it.  I realize it'll take a bit of time, but there's years of sordid CCHD history with which you should become familiar as you evaluate any course of action to take with them.

Please boycott this collection and send your donation dollars to an organization that respects Christian morality and actually practices the Works of Mercy.  In your collection envelope next week, you might want to write a note explaining why you won't donation.  For instance, you could write, "I cannot donate to CCHD because it funds organizations that work to undermine the Catholic faith and Christian morality".

Please spread the word.  If you use Facebook and/or Twitter, please use hashtag #no2cchd.  Thank you.

Say #no2cchd; Instead #SaveAdenHailu

Much has already been written about the harm that is done by the organizations that are funded by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  Lepanto Institute has gone into great depth in revealing how its origins are linked with Communism.  There is no denying that the CCHD is inexorably jaded from its inception.  In my opinion, this is one reason why the CCHD cannot be reformed.  It should be scrapped.  In the meantime, please do not feed that beast this weekend.  Boycott the collection.

Instead of donating to the CCHD, I'd ask your support of Aden Hailu, a young lady about whom I wrote yesterday.  Why not direct your money to saving innocent life, in lieu of organizations that are fomenting grave evils?

CCHD = Cash for Chaos, Hatred and Disorder

We are all aware of the violence that has erupted in the wake of Trump's election as President of the United States.  One thing this illustrates is the results of poor education that has been allowed to go on for these past few decades.  It is poor by design.  John Dewey has rightfully been called the Father of Modern Education.  How many are aware that Dewey was a signer of the original Humanist Manefesto?

However, the violence in many cities (all of the cities being in states that Hillar carried, oddly enough) isn't just the work of spoiled little snowflakes pitching temper tantrums.  There is organization behind it as LifeSiteNews points out.

One of the organizations behind the mayhem is MoveOn.org, controlled by George Soros.  Soros' infiltration of progressive Catholic circles has been documented.  His organization, Faith in Public Life, several years ago attempted to refute an exposition of the CCHD done by Michael Hichborn.  Much has been written on this blog and others regarding the fact that monies collected by the CCHD were diverted to "community organizing" outfits that are anti-life, anti-God; many of these have been known to foment the kind of violence that has swept up the disgruntled Clinton supporters.

If you haven't done so yet, please watch the video "A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing".  It's long, but well worth the investment of time.  It tells the history of the invasion of progressives in the life of the Catholic Church in the US, focusing on the role of Saul Alinsky.  Furthermore, it details how Alinsky and his cronies in the Church created the Campaign for Human Development for the purpose of diverting Catholic donatons to progressive causes.  Later the word "Catholic" was put in front of the rest of the name.  That is to say that the entire purpose of CCHD was evil from its inception, as opposed to being once noble but only recently corrupted.

During the weekend of November 19-20, most dioeses in the United States will be devoting the second collections to the CCHD.  We must boycott this collection as we've done in previous years.  Many of us are tired from the election, but we must resist the temptation to "tune out and take a break".   The CCHD is a factor in the rot inside both the Church and the United States.  We must starve this beast known as CCHD.  With Trump's election, we've been given a reprieve by God, some more time to pray and work to establish the Culture of Life.  Let's not lose momentum but press ahead, starting by saying #no2cchd.

Special Alert For Archdiocese Of Washington

My profuse apologies!  This did slip my mind until someone reminded me of this earlier today.  This weekend's second collection is for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, or CCHD.  Again they're trying to get clever by calling it "Communication and Human Development"; who they think they're fooling is beyond me.  I've written extensively on CCHD in the past; here is an anthology of posts for your review.

At any rate, please say #no2cchd by not giving them one penny.  In the second collection tomorrow drop them a note explaining why there is no money enclosed.  If you go to the link cited above and scroll down a bit, there is an example of a note that you can print out and put in your envelope.

Please pass this post along to others in the Archdiocese of Washington as soon as you can.  Thank you.

Leader Of CCHD-Funded Organization Performs Same-Sex "Marriages"

The Lepanto Institute reports that a recipient of $40,000.00 from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development is led by a clergyman that performs same-sex "marriage".  The organization in question is the Inland Empire Sponsoring Committee.  Its president is Michael Fronk, who happens to be pastor of First Christian Church in Pomana, California.  Both Fronk and the church he leads show themselves to be facilitating the abomination of homosexual conduct, as you can see on Lepanto's page.

Because the local bishop defunded another aberrant organization, there is hope that he will also defund this one as well.  Still, this incident is just the latest in a long string of such scandalous grants in CCHD's history.  This is not a "failure to vet" on the part of the national CCHD, which is still headed by the scandal-ridden Ralph McCloud.  They know full well what they're doing.  It's high time we all, once and for all, said #no2cchd.

Archdiocese Of Washington! Say #no2cchd

This weekend is the putrefying collection: the second collection will be for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  It was announced this past weekend at my church and this time they did not try to obfuscate its name (although it remains so un-cleverly disguised on the ADW site).

I've written much on the matter in the past, as have several of my Catholic Media Coalition colleagues. I invite you to study their work as well; see here and here.

Do not drop one red cent into that basket.  Instead you may wish to write a note explaining why the CCHD is not worthy of Catholic donations.  Please share this post, please send it to facebook and tweet it (using the above hashtag).  Let's keep Catholic money from flowing into progressive coffers.

Something Appropriate For Your CCHD Envelopes - From Lepanto Institute

Michael Hichborn, formerly of the American Life League, has formed an organization called the Lepanto Institute for the Restoration of All Things In Christ.  Read their mission statement from their website.  I highly recommend following this.

Hichborn has done much work while at ALL in terms of exposing the CCHD.  Yesterday he began the website with the publication of this.

See Lepanto's site for important information, including a blatant conflict of interest harbored by CCHD director Ralph McCloud.   For your convenience in printing and distributing these "dollars" to your friends and colleagues for their CCHD collections, download this pdf and send it far and abroad.

For additional info on the scandal known as Catholic Campaign for Human Development, please place that name (or CCHD) in this blog's search box to the top left.  You will get an eyeful of relevant information.

ALL On Social Justice Corruption - And News Of A Special Broadcast Tomorrow

Michael Hichborn of American Life League delves into the Wendy Davis / Ralph McCloud relationship and into some of the unsavory aspects of Catholic Charities as well in the ALL Report below.

Tomorrow evening, July 31, starting at 8:00pm edt, Michael Voris of ChurchMilitant.TV will host Michael Hichborn and Steve Phalen of Human Life International.  HLI is the parent organization of the Population Research Institute that exposed Catholic Relief Service's direct participation in abortifacient distribution.  It is two hours long, but in light of the CCHD collections that will soon occur, this seems to be well worth the time investment.  At 8pm tomorrow, click here to be linked to the show.

Two notes before the video:

  1. The document to which Hichborn alludes can be found here.
  2. Archdiocese of Washington residents!!  The CCHD collection will occur the weekend of Aug 10-11.  Your help is needed to spread word of a boycott.  Please go here asap to lend your hand.  Together let's say #no2cchd!

CCHD - Blood Of Police Officers On Its Hands?

Michael Hichborn of Lepanto Institute illustrates how a New York based community-organizing outfit was in the thick of the various New York protests, acting as agitators.  This bunch is the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition.  This year it received $35,000.00 from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).

Please read the Lepanto article for further details.  When the next CCHD shakedown collection looms near, we will remind you of the misuse of Catholic donations.  Then we'll say #no2cchd.

If You Still Need Proof That The CCHD Is Dangerous To Faith And Morals

Here it is, from my friend Rey Flores of American Life League.  He himself was Director of CCHD for the Archdiocese of Chicago.  When he actually started to run it according to Catholic principles, he was railroaded out of that job, with knowledge of the national office.  Read here.

Church's Charitable Umbrella Organizations Are Decidedly Uncharitable

During the past two days I linked to stories detailing how the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and Catholic Charities are serving anti-life agendas.  Unfortunately the accounts of their misuse of Catholic money continue to accumulate, and the Catholic Relief Services seems to be following suit.

The Lepanto Institute recently exposed the production by Catholic Relief Services of a sex-education program in Rwanda.  It promotes the usage of abortifacients, contraceptives, masturbation and homosexuality.  The program is called "My Changing Body" and it is produced in partnership with Georgetown University's Institute for Reproductive Health.  Ostensibly Georgetown used to be Catholic, but it too has jettisoned all authentic Catholicism from its life and is Catholic in name only.  The Lepanto site links to their full report on "My Changing Body"and has screenshots of some of the material used by that program.  It is immoral, anti-life - and funded with Catholic donations.

The Lepanto Institute learned something brand-new about the CCHD this week.  We know from many years of their misbehaviors that they've funded all sorts of anti-life and socialistic ventures, but apparently "community organizing" has taken a new turn - marijuana farms!  This is occurring in California (of course!).  The California Center for Cooperative Development received $50k to start some "medical marijuana cooperatives".  Next we hear they'll be starting some avant-garde opium dens or safe-haven needle exchange projects - oh wait! - Catholic Charities beat them to it several years ago!

Speaking of Catholic Charities, they have a new president - Sister Donna Markham.  She worked for a while at Georgetown University (there's that name again!) and then became prioress of the Adrian Dominicans.  Under her less-than-illustrious leadership, this order joined the Catholic Health Association and helped ramrod through Obamacare, in direct opposition to the bishops.  She's been associated with the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, serving a term as its president.  When the Vatican launched its investigation into the LCWR, she waxed both arrogant and indignant at the Church for so doing.  Such is Catholic Charities' leadership.

I do want to highlight a few things about CCHD's ongoing linkage to Alinskyian community organizing.  It is alive and well; one must remember that CCHD was founded with the express purpose of funding socialistic and atheistic endeavors with the contribution dollars of unwitting Catholics.  My colleague Stephanie Block has done much work in exposing these "community organizing" outfits for the menaces that they are.  In this piece she exposes the linkage between the Industrial Areas Foundation with illegal immigration.  Recall that a few days ago I exposed the misdeeds of Action In Montgomery.  AIM was front-and-center with the left-wing as they were shilling for the DREAM Act a year or two ago in Maryland.  AIM is an IAF affiliate.  In her next piece detailing the Senate campaign of rabid pro-abort Loretta Sanchez and IAF's support for her, Stephanie details how Sanchez's supporters relied on the votes of newly-naturalized aliens to defeat pro-life Bob Dornan for the US Congress.

Many Catholics are unaware (or they won't accept) that their contributions to Catholic Charities, Catholic Relief Services and/or Catholic Campaign for Human Development actually serve to undermine the Church and facilitate death and destruction, both spiritually and physically.  It's time to say #no2cchd, #no3crs and #no2cathcharities.
