Left-Wing Agitators Threw A Tantrum In Dupont Circle This Past Saturday

 Originally billed as a "DC Queer and Trans Black History Month March and Rally" (Isn't that a mouthful?), a stomp down a Dupont Circle street got rather acrimonious.  Oh, what am I saying?  Of course it was "mostly peaceful" - of course!  At least they didn't throw things at people or start any fires (this time) but I understand there was some jostling with police and harassing of restaurant patrons.  But it was "mostly peaceful" jostling and harassing!  Got that talking point straight?

Apparently the little thug-darlings want to make sure they get their $2k stimulus checks (courtesy of us gainfully-employed people who pay taxes to fund their various stampedes).  They marched through the area chanting "if we don't get it, burn it down".  Thankfully they didn't burn anything, but we just know that had they done so, it would have been an act of "mostly peaceful" arson.

I don't watch mainstream news, so I'm curious as to how much coverage this latest BLM antic received.  My guess is, not a whole lot.  Had Trump's victory been formally acknowledged, I wager that this episode would have been trumpeted far and wide.

I wonder when the political science departments at some of the loony lefty institutes of "higher learning" will make a course in screaming an integral part of their curricula, perhaps even required.  By the way, I'm not being facetious!

What you see here are snowflakes/antifas/pussyhats/lefties literally screaming out their angst because President Trump still hasn't resigned his office, despite their previous antics and tantrums.  So they're giving it one more shot.  They think that screaming will cause Trump's resignation.  Will someone please point out to me the constitutional basis for that theory?

One reason why they might be screaming is that they are intellectually incapable of composing and articulating rational thought.  What we are seeing is simply a display of their spiritual and intellectual vacuity.  While this video obviously has much comic appeal, it should also cause much concern that our families and schools are turning out so many overgrown adolescents.  Again, grab your rosaries and pray.

Las Vegas Shootings Bring Out Seamless Garbage

We've all heard the tragic news about the shootings in Las Vegas: 59 dead and hundreds more wounded at an outdoors country music festival in town.  A 64-year old man named Stephen Paddock, himself shot to death, is being touted as having major - if not sole - responsibility for the shootings.  That he had a role in the massacre is beyond question.  However, he is being described as being alone and without motive - a claim that doesn't withstand close scrutiny.

Differing accounts say in his hotel room on the 32nd floor that there were 23 firearms, some of them automatic rifles.  How could one man have possibly had use for all those rifles - unless he wasn't alone?  A man who was staying in a room next to Paddock's saw several people who may have been involved.  The video in that article shows gunfire from a room that is much lower than 32 stories.

I now link to an article that asks some relevant questions - questions that demand answers.  If you haven't heard of "Natural News", surely you've heard of National Review.  A piece therein asks questions too (some the same as the other article).  Consider the financial hassle of procuring just the right hotel room - probably well in advance of the concert.  Consider how it had to be both difficult and expensive to procure all those firearms - and transport them unnoticed to the hotel room(s).  Could one lone older man have done all that himself?  The two articles indicate that Paddock had both Antifa and ISIS ties; indeed, ISIS claimed responsibility for the massacre.

It didn't take long for the left-wing hate to spew forth.  A CBS lawyer and vice president tweeted that the victims deserved their fates because country music fans are often Republican.  I applaud CBS for having the decency to fire her.  Prison Planet's piece contains some enlightening videos to examine along these lines.

Paul Watson's video highlights some all-too-predictable progressive shrieks calling for more abridgment of our rights to defend ourselves (as though Paddock et al weren't already breaking or circumventing gun control laws already).  Just wait for some similar yap and yammer to be found in Crud or Amerika magazines, not to mention some pathetic press releases from the USCCB.  I'm also anticipating that some other progressives will somehow blame this massacre on "climate change".

As we pray for the victims and their families, let us resolve to bring our nation and world back to God.  Let us resolve to end abortion and all other sins against marriage, family and life.  Only then do we have a chance for piece.

And Anitfa is none too happy!  When one employs barbarians, one must make sure there is no discord in the ranks lest they do to you what you directed that they do to others!  By the way - The twitter account to which the video was posted is a satire account.  That doesn't indicate whether or not the video account itself is authentic.  Still, it's good for a laugh.

What isn't satire is that Soros funds not only this bunch of neanderthals, but close to two hundred other progressive cabals.  Here's the list.  Please note that the Campaign for Human Development partners with many of these.  Here's a "rule of thumb" that I follow; I donate to nothing that has any affiliation whatsoever with any of these sordid outfits.

James Alex Fields May Not Be Guilty Of Intentional Homicide

Hitherto many people (myself included) believed James Alex Fields to be guilty of murder in the death of Heather Heyer.  Certainly the progressives are milking that tragedy for all they can.  Videos and pictures have surfaced that indicate that Fields may have been acting in panic, even fear for his life when he accelerated into the crowd.  The video is below:

Now here is a "still" of the instant when Fields' car was hit - note the plates, it is his car.

Are they the same scene?  Between the video and the picture, compare the stances of the striker, the knee-length pants, shoes and socks, baggy shirt, flagpole, the man standing on the other side of the road.  They are the same scene.

What Really Happened In Charlottesville?

Like all decent people of all stripes, I am appalled at the wanton vehicular murder of the young woman in Charlottesville VA this past Saturday, August 12, 2017.  Let us pray for the repose of her soul, as well as consolation for her grieving family.  We also pray for the conversions of all perpetrators in the strife this past Saturday that led to the murder of this woman, as well as to injuries to others and the helicopter deaths of the two troopers.

I regret though, that the truth behind what happened is deliberately being obfuscated by progressives, not only in the media but in high places in both the governments of Charlottesville and the State of Virginia.  Two opposing factions share blame, in truth.  On the one hand, there was the so-called "alt-right", composed mainly of neo-nazis, white supremists and ku klux klan.  On the other hand there were the "black lives matter" crowd along with antifa.  Joining both groups were individuals of various political convictions.

To listen to the progressive shills, one would think that the "alt-right" was responsible for all the hatred while the blm/antifa people were pure as the driven snow.  Some, including the mayor of Charlottesville, went so far as to blame the president, while others blamed the NRA and gun rights advocates (despite the fact that not one shot was fired during the melee).  Regrettably some in Catholic circles are swallowing that kool-aid - or simply parroting the required "talking points".

A facebook post that I read sums up the sequence of events.  I'll paste it below and beneath that post some corroborating links.

So here's what happened in VA. People protesting removing of monuments got a permit to protest at 12:00. Early that morning Antifa was being flown and bused in from around the country. At 8:45 The govenor sends State police in to cancel a protest that hadn't started. They forced the protesters out in the streets to a waiting mob of Antifa and BLM. The police were given orders to stand down and let the protesters be attacked. This was a set up by the governor to take away protesters first amendment rights. It doesn't matter what the protesters had to say. They had a right to say it. Please share!

The alt-right rally was planned in advance; this is corroborated by WTOP..  They were protesting the planned removal of a statue of Robert E Lee from city grounds in Charlottesville.  They had a permit that was rescinded at the very last minute, quite possibly so that Democrat officials could appease their progressive bosses.  They were forced to the area where antifa and blm counter-protesters were and were attacked.  The police had been ordered to stand down, despite having cordoned the opposing parties in the same area. Whoever gave the order(s) for police stand-down was complicit in the violence that occurred, quite possibly deliberately so.

The left-wing media pins sole responsibility for the violence on the alt-right, while it appears that there is plenty of blame to go around.  The ACLU of Virginia acknowledged that in one of their tweets.  Right now I'll link to some background information on Black Lives Matter and Antifa; that is necessary for understanding their mindsets and their methodologies.  After the car murder, a reporter incurred the arbitrary wrath of one such leftist; fortunately he has been arrested.

The left-wing is proceeding with all due haste to rewrite history.  In Durham North Carolina, protesters pulled down a statue of a Confederate leader.  They are desecrating graves of Confederate leaders.  They are issuing calls for more violence.

Today the president criticized the violence from both factions.  At a press conference, he rhetorically asked reporters if George Washington and Thomas Jefferson should have their statues removed since they were both slave owners, correctly pointing out the left's attempt to rewrite history and culture itself.  Michael Farris of Alliance Defending Freedom addressed the situation, particularly the attempt to squelch what some might call "hurtful speech".

I am now linking to a facebook video presented by Avialae Horton, who attended the rally and who experienced things that aren't reported in the media.  It, and the pictures in the comments section, are worth watching.  I might differ on a few points. She alludes that a goal of the left is "white genocide"; rather, I suspect their goal is the destruction of Western civilization.  She also believes that the federal government was in on the collusion.  Had Hillary won the White House, that would have been the case.  Clearly though, both the Charlottesville and Virginia officials were colluding with the leftists.  She mentioned an alt-right leader being mobbed at a press conference; here is that video.

Before this post gets too long, I'll close it with a video from Reality Check.  I haven't seen a whole lot on this matter from other Catholic bloggers (with the exception of Creative Minority Report), save a few things stating that "hatred is on both sides" and "prayer is needed".  While that is true, I think we have to grapple with the details of what really happened this weekend and not be reluctant to acknowledge the differing levels of responsibility.  Not all are equally guilty and we must acknowledge that.  We have to learn not only to pray but to speak and act in decisive manners.  Clearly the leftwing is on a rampage to destroy any vestiges of Christian bedrock from our civilization.  That will only lead to more loss of life, not to mention the eternal damnation of countless souls  Let's acknowledge that without fear of offending them.  We must pray, but we also must resist with the authority that is ours, lest we have to face Our Lord at the end of our lives and have to answer for cowardice.
