The Gays' Intention To Destroy The Church And Civilization

Toronto Catholic Witness posted this video; here is their analysis of it.  Bear in mind that this was recorded in 1991, over 26 years ago.  Father O'Connor is not to be confused with Cardinal John O'Connor (to whom he refers), but they are very much on the same page.  At the 58-minute mark, notice that this gay liberation thing was in the works from at least 1924 and that Chicago was the first major metropolitan area to remove laws against sodomy from its books; many nefarious movements arose in Chicago.  I wouldn't be a bit surprised to hear of some relationship between this gay liberation and the Alinskyian community-organizing racket, which also had Chicago origins.

Father made mention of gay adoption.  LifeSiteNews has troubling news of developments that are even more insidious; the demonization of devout parents, to the point of perhaps declaring them unfit to raise their own biological children.  Will we finally start to rise up and say "enough is enough"?

Head Of Catholic News Service Betrays His Faith And Fellow Catholics

It was almost a year ago when Lepanto Institute uncovered the scandal of the Catholic Relief Services harboring a sodomite within the ranks of their officials.  Since then he resigned from CRS.  We pray that he also quit his mortally sinful lifestyle.

Now the same Lepanto Institute has discovered that Tony Spence, Director of the Catholic News Service, has been shilling for the gay agenda on his twitter page.  He concurrently is working to submarine the rights of Christians to live by their consciences without being forced to do obeisance to the demands of gay activists.  Bear in mind that the Catholic News Service is the official news organ of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  Spence has occupied that position since 2004.

On its page, Lepanto has reproduced some of the heretical tweets.  When I went to Spence's twitter page I saw that the incriminating tweets had been pulled down.  Gee!  I wonder why!

Between these two and the head of CCHD who worked for Wendy "Abortion Barbie" Davis, the progressive bishops seem to have a penchant for placing flaming dissidents within the higher positions of their organizations.  That is no accident.  They know exactly what they are doing.

Recall that Estridge did resign when the spotlight shone on him.  Let's see if we can perform a similar service in the case of Spence.  We will not make any headway in fighting the culture of death until and unless we purge the Church of all the filth and corruption within its structures.

Papal Visit - Ominous Harbinger Of Things To Come

Several hours ago, the pope returned to the Vatican from the United States.  We all got a glimpse into what we may expect from this pontificate - and it ain't pretty!  We heard some snippets of exhortation to respect innocent life, but they were minuscule in comparison with the shillings for the allowance of illegal immigration, climate change, death penalty, arms trade, etc: all the talking points that had progressives (Obama included) waxing giddy with joy.  Jim Sedlak of American Life League penned his opinion of some of the pope's addresses, with which I concur.

Ladies and gentlemen, at best the papal visit was an abysmal disappointment.  More troubling is that progressives of many stripes were allowed to use the visit as bully pulpits to promote their anti-God agendas: from the gay-rights theatrics in New York and Philadelphia to the staged anchor-baby stunt during the DC parade.  Michael Hichborn of Lepanto Institute put up some commentary on the debacles of last week, noting that these things did not occur in vacuums.  Indeed, they could only have occurred with the connivance of the prelates of the respective venues in which they occurred.

In the first paragraph, I touched upon the various issues upon which the pope dwelt.  Nowhere did he deal with abortion and same-sex #mowwidge with the same treatment as he did the others.  In fact, I don't think he even mentioned them by name.  Speaking of name, one name that was curiously absent from his lips was that of Jesus Christ (with the obvious exception of his Mass celebrations).

When I pointed this out to some other faithful Catholics, they contorted themselves into pretzels trying to justify this glaring negligence.  They said things like:
  • "he's being gentle"
  • "he didn't come here to argue"
  • "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar"
  • "he refrained out of deference to the Jews and Muslims"
  • "it's not the time nor the place"
Mind you, all these came from faithful Catholics!

Ladies and gentlemen, since when is it considered argumentative to acknowledge - by name - Jesus Christ, the God Whom we serve and adore?  As far as not being the time nor place, we are exhorted to preach the gospel "in season and out of season".  All the excuses above have a common theme - being "nice".  As we all know, "nice" is not a virtue.  Have you noticed that the enemies of the faith are most astute and diligent in seizing every opportunity to promulgate their falsehoods?  By and large, the mainstream culture applauds them, and we stand still for it in pseudo-respectful silence.  When we dare lift our voices, that same culture shouts us down and too often we comply with their demands for our silence, for we "want to catch flies with honey and not vinegar".  In other words, they define the terms and language of social conversation and debate and we acquiesce to it.  Ladies and gentlemen, that is not legitimate kindness or deference.  It is cowardice, rooted in an inordinate desire to be liked.

Speaking of being liked, Jesus had some things to say about that.  From Luke 6:26 we read "Woe to you when men shall bless you: for according to these things did their fathers to the false prophets."  Pope Francis was treated like a rock star in the mainstream culture whereas Jesus Christ was crucified.  Think about it.  More importantly, pray.  If this past week is any harbinger of things to come, the upcoming Ordinary Synod on the Family could be disastrous.

How God Is Blessing Russia

It has been quite ironic to see how Russia has embraced Christian morality lately, especially in terms of honoring the family as God ordained it.  However, not all are happy about it.  Madonna, the so-called "Material Girl", has vowed never to perform in Russia again owing to the latter's refusal to capitulate to the gay nazis.

So you see, ladies and gentlemen, there are blessings to be had from obedience to God's laws!  Think how much cleaner and clearer will be Russia's air, without the Material Girl polluting it with her porn-performances!  I almost begin to envy Russia!

Marylanders! We Need To Defeat SB 212!

Maryland Senate Bill 212, the so-called "Fairness for All Marylanders Act of 2014", is nothing more than a bill to advance the gay and transgender life styles.  In uber-liberal Montgomery County, a similar measure passed (but not without valiant opposition).  The rest of the state doesn't reek quite as badly of progressivism so there might be hope of killing this thing.

It is now before the Judicial Proceedings Committee.  I understand that they were slated to vote on it tomorrow; I don't know if the weather will cause postponement of that vote.  Please call each and every person on that committee and tell them to oppose it.  Let's kill it before it goes to the floor.

Pax Christi - Wolf In Sheep's Clothing Coming To Montgomery County Parish

Here is more key data on Pax Christi USA, the spiritual predator that is being granted admittance to St Francis of Assisi Church in Derwood MD this coming Wednesday.

My Catholic Media Coalition colleague Stephanie Block wrote an article on Pax Christi USA in her newsletter Los Pequenos.  I link to the archive here; you'll need to go to page 14 of the pdf.  As usual, Stephanie has done thorough research.  For the rest of this piece I'll refer to Pax Christi USA as "PCUSA".

PCUSA is also linked to many dissident organizations.  From the program of their recent national conference we see that they allowed New Ways Ministry to be a vendor at their conference.  New Ways Ministry is solely dedicated to advancing the acceptance of sexual perversion by the Catholic Church.  Its founders have been censured by the DC bishops throughout the years (being headquartered in Prince George's County MD, within the Archdiocese of Washington).  To further document Pax Christi's own embrace of perversion, please review this page of photos from that same conference; about halfway down the page you'll see their slide projection stating quite openly that "if PC-USA is to remain relevant and on the frontier as a Catholic movement of peace-making with justice, it must intentionally welcome people of all gender identities and sexual orientations."

In August 2012 the fight over the HHS mandate was getting underway as various dioceses and Catholic organizations filed their suits in court.  A naive person might have believed that Pax Christi might have stood for religious freedom, respect for conscience, etc.  Well, think again!  When the Diocese of Erie (PA) filed its suit, four of the so-called "Catholic social justice" groups filed friend-of-the-court briefs siding with the Obama regime!  Two of them were Pax Christi (Pittsburgh area) and Call to Action.  Their reasoning?  They themselves dissent from Church teaching on contraception - pure and simple.

As the astute reader of this blog and others may have noticed, many of these progressive groups can be intertwined in lots of coalitions.  Pax Christi and Call to Action are both to be found in something called "Catholic Organizations for Renewal".  While the latter does not have a national website, some sites do exist and can be quite informative.  Take, for instance, this site in which its congratulations to Pope Francis on his selection as Pontiff is seen.  The various organizations - including Pax Christi - voice their "hopes" for Francis's pontificate.  Those "hopes" include "women's ordination", gay "rights" and unrestricted abortion.

A Tale Of Two Bishops

Two very different bishops have shown the world what motivates them - one to shame and the other to honor.  First let's look at the "bad news".

Bishop Gary Gordon is prelate to the Diocese of Whitehorse in Yukon, Canada.  This diocese had promulgated a policy for pastoral care for same-sex attracted students in its schools.  At first this policy conformed to and echoed the Church's teachings regarding homosexuality.  But these schools are publicly funded.  It aroused a bit of rancor among the politically-correct public.  The Minister of Education ordered Bishop Gordon to expunge the policy of Catholic morality.  Shamefully the bishop cowered and complied.  It would have been better for the all concerned had the bishop simply refused to accept any more government funds and made clear to all that the laws of Jesus Christ reign supreme.  Instead, he squandered an opportune teaching moment and brought shame upon the Church in Canada.

That's today's bad news - now for the good news.

Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield is acting proactively to stare down a planned gay-rights protest.  He has already announced that anyone wearing rainbow sashes (indicating affiliation with the Rainbow Sash Movement) will not be granted admittance to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.  Furthermore he stated that anyone praying for "marriage equality" will be asked to leave.  He did reiterate that the church remains open for those who wish to repent of their sins.  Now this is a bishop!!

Holy Thursday - Institution Of The Sacrament Of Holy Orders

When Our Lord, at the Last Supper, uttered the words "Do this in remembrance of Me", He conferred priesthood upon the Apostles.  It might do us well to consider how the priesthood is under attack - from within.

I spent at least one month keeping before our eyes the despicable way that Father Marcel Guarnizo has (and I think, continues to be) maltreated by the Archdiocese of Washington.  I mentioned that Father Guarnizo was not the first and that he wouldn't be the last so despised.  And indeed he is not the last.

Within the past week or so we've been hearing about the situation in the Archdiocese of Vienna (Austria).  Christoph Cardinal Schonborn, the archbishop there, overruled one of his parish priests, Father Gerhard Swierzek when the latter blocked an openly gay man, Florian Stangl from sitting on the parish council.  Mind you, the Cardinal was fully aware that Stangl was gay.  Initially, the Cardinal supported his priest.  But then he back-peddled big time.  Note that he did so after he met with Stangl and his sin-partner.

As one reads this article from Renew America, they cannot help but notice the parallels between the situation in Gaithersburg and the more recent situation in Vienna.  Is it possible that Schonborn was influenced by the doings of the Washington chancery?  I know for a fact that Father Guarnizo's situation was watched from all over the world.  During the past month or so, I had many views from all over the world.  We can surmise that all the other internet sources were likewise watched.

There will be more.  Pray for Rome's swift intervention.

Cardinal George Apologizes - And Bungles Big-Time

Cardinal George of Chicago, a few weeks ago made a comparison between the gay rights movement and the Ku Klux Klan.  The quote was "You know, you don't want the gay liberation movement to morph into something like the Ku Klux Klan, demonstrating in the streets against Catholicism."  The remark was made in the context of concern over the planning of next summer's gay parade, which had been scheduled to be in front of a local Church on Sunday morning.  Perhaps he had in mind the December 1989 incident at St Patrick's Cathedral in New York when gay protesters disrupted a Mass celebratd by Cardinal O'Connor, chaining themselves to pews, shouting and flinging condoms about.  (Read about the incident here, and scroll to the "legacy" section).

Yesterday the cardinal issued an apology for those remarks.  We'll leave aside for the moment the obvious calcium deficiency in his spinal column, for what he said next was truly breathtaking for the disregard for Church teaching displayed.  He said (and be sitting down for this!), "The question is, 'Does respect mean that we have to change our teaching?' That's an ongoing discussion, of course. … I still go back to the fact that these are people we know and love and are part of our families. That's the most important point right now."

"Ongoing discussion"?!?!?!!   Really!?!??!!?   Seriously!?!?!?!   Ladies and gentlemen, this is a prince of the Church stating that the teaching of the Magisterium on homosexuality is subject to "ongoing discussion".    Could it be that the local power bosses leaned on him and applied the "Chicago way" to him (like they probably did with the Pfleger and CCHD situations)?

Cardinal George, act as the bishop that you are, and tell those practicing the gay lifestyle that what they do is mortally sinful and that the teaching of Jesus Christ as transmitted through the Magisterium is not fodder for "ongoing disussion".  If the hacks of Chicago politics start sending you dead fish, it's just as well for Lent will soon be upon us.  Remember the words of your brother Cardinal during that disgusting display of gay gestapo tactics: "I must preach what the Church preaches, teach what the Church teaches."

The Most Dangerous Challenges, According to the Holy Father

In Portugal last week, Pope Benedict XVI described abortion and "gay marraige" as being among the "most insidious and dangerous challenges that today confront the common good.”

That's right!  Not "immigration reform", not "climate-chage"!  The fundamental issues for true Catholic social justice are the life and family issues.  These must come first.  No other issues may take precedence, least of all the bogus issues fed to us by the progressives via mainstream medial.

It is these issues that must govern our votes this November: 1) abortion, euthanasia and other direct attacks on innocent human life 2) preservation of marriage as being between one man and one woman 3) cessation of embryo abuse (embryonic stem cell research, cloning, etc).  In my humble opinion (which I believe to be well-founded), any attempt to distract from these or to dilute their importance (vis-a-vis lesser matters) is a direct attempt by the Evil One to lead souls to hell.

Jennings - SAFE School Czar? NOT!!

The past May, Kevin Jennings was appointed to be Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Department of Education. He's been dubbed the "safe school czar". However, his past history (well-documented) makes very clear that he is a threat to children's safety. He most certainly was for a young boy whom he counseled while at Concord Academy in Massachusetts in the late 1980s. The young boy, a very troubled youth, came to Jennings and told him how he was picked up at a bus station by a gay male predator. Did Jennings report the incident, as we was legally bound to do? No! He just told the boy, "You know, I hope you knew to use a condom."

Jennings himself is gay. He founded the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). He made very clear that he wants only pro-gay viewpoints taught in schools. He is admittedly hostile to Christianity. The Family Research Council put out an excellent dossier; I urge its study.

Now I urge you to read this from Americans for Truth. At a GLSEN conference in 1997, Jennings gave a speech in which he extolled Harry Hay, founder of the Mattachine Society. Hay publicly supported the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). As the name indicates, this bunch advocates pederasty. Apparently Jennings refuses to say whether or not he was aware of Hay's affiliation with NAMBLA. Given his response to the boy's plight mentioned earlier in this post, it is entirely conceivable that indeed he knew. This has raised the eyebrows of even some gays who do at least repudiate pederasty. Scott Baker of Breitbart.tv shares this video:

Let's look at Jenning's affiliation with ACT-UP (Aids Coaltion To Unleash Power). He was a member and is a funder/supporter of an pornographic ACT-UP exhibit currently underway at Harvard University. As you look at the link, be advised that there are pictures that are vile and rabidly anti-Catholic. However, you must be informed as to the proclivities and sympathies of this man who will wield way too much influence over American public education.

And guess what? Jennings and his gay partner hosted an Obama fundraiser at their home - with the Messiah Most Miserable himself in attendance! Are we surprised? Does the word "payback" come to mind?

Now the following may be considered by some to be a needless sidetrack from the Jennings issue. In reality, I think it is foundational not only to the matter at hand, but to the whole direction of modern public education. My first college degree was a BS in mathematics, with a minor in education. I was thu required to study education - at the University of Maryland, a school known for fawning all over liberal icons.

It was taught there, and is commonly held today, that the "father of modern public education" was John Dewey. He laid down much of the groundwork for the structures and missions. He was also a humanist who signed the Humanist Manifesto. Here's his signature on the original 1933 version. Another version came out 40 years later, but Dewey had already passed away. I urge you to read both versions and see how the hostility towards religion, particularly towards Christianity, is more blatant, as well as the call for sexual license. We see such proclivities in public education today and most certainly in Jenning's appointment to this high post. Some call for Jenning's appointment to be rescinded. Well, I'll go further and say that the entire Department of Education should be dismantled. There is no Constitutional authority for its existence, anyway.

It's way past time to consider homeschooling.
