Archdiocese of Baltimore Social Ministry - Brainwashing For Progressivism - Part 1

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the Archdiocese of Baltimore hosted its 45th Annual Social Ministry Convocation.  Instead of Mercy High School, the location changed to Calvert Hall College Hight School.  It's not far from Mercy, where it had happened for quite a few years now, just a few miles north off Loch Raven Boulevard.  One wonders why they felt it necessary to make the switch.  In reality, Calvert also seems to be inclined to coddle various perversions among its students.   Under the "about us" section of the page, we see a sub-header for "diversity, equity and inclusion".  We know what these buzz words signify.  From that page we read (copy and pasted here) "We endeavor to instill in our students respect, understanding, and appreciation for all individuals, regardless of race, sex, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, socioeconomic status, age, or religion. "  So in practical terms, what does that mean?   Does that mean if some young gal thinks she's a guy and changes her name from Ellen to Allan, can be admitted to the school under those pretenses and share a gym locker room with 15-year-old biologically-born males?  Inquiring minds (like donors and parents) would like to know.  But I digress.

When we discovered what was about to happen last year, one of our friends attended that thing to see how bad it was going to be.  The Archdiocese of Baltimore, regrettably, lived down to the expectations.  This blog covered that quite a bit, and the mess was written up in the March-April 2023 issue of the Defend Life newsletter, starting on page 4.

I attended the mess myself, and another faithful Catholic did the same.  When I registered, I had to write a $25.00 check to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  I was quite revolted at the idea, but did so to gain admittance.  The beginning prayer service was in full swing by the time I got to the auditorium.

Shortly thereafter, the beginning panel discussion took place.  The panelists are pictured to the right.  I will name them, left to right.  The first lady is Giuliana Valencia-Banks, Chief of Immigrant Affairs for Baltimore County.  She was not a member of the panel but was simply the discussion moderator.  The panelists are, moving to the right:
  • Father Matthew Buening, pastor of St Matthew's on Loch Raven Boulevard and Archdiocesan Coordinator of LGBT Mininstries
  • M. Gayle Briscoe, Baltimore City Organizer for Bridge Maryland Inc
  • Erin Younkins, Director of Office of Life, Justice and Peace for the Archdiocese of Baltimore
  • Jose Aguto, Executive Director of Catholic Climate Covenant
I will give some background on some of these people and/or their organizations, not in order of their appearance in the line-up.

We'll start with Ms. Briscoe's organization.  Bridge Inc, as evidenced from their website, is a community-organizing bunch affiliated with Gamaliel Inc.  I've written a bit about Gamaliel before; among other things, it is with them that a young Barack Obama got started in "community organizing".  As you read that anthology of posts, you'll notice Gamaliel's ties to CCHD.  To whom did all us convocation attendees have to fork over $25 to attend the little gab-fest?

Let's look at Catholic Climate Covenant, shall we?  Readers of this blog will recall that I've written a bit about them in the past. Exposes on them and other such organizations have shown them to be into the promotion of population control, one-world government, and earth-worship.  One can often get a decent sense of the organization by looking at its board of directors.  Notice that Stephen Schneck sits on that board.  At one time, Schneck was co-chair of "Catholics for Obama".

Then we have Sister Patricia Talone, of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas.  They are headquartered in an office suite in Silver Spring, MD.  I remember several years ago that some of us picketed them when they hosted New Ways Ministries for one of their meetings.  A gander at this site makes plain their own disobedience to Church teaching on sexuality.

Moving onto Father Buening, some background is in order.  He succeeded Father Joseph Muth as Pastor of St Matthew's church when the latter was forced to retire by Archbishop Lori.  Muth had been there approximately 20 years.  During that time, he led St Matthew's down the primrose path of all manners of gay-coddling.  He even led a contingent from St Matthew's in several of Baltimore's gay pride parades.

After Muth left and Buening took over, many of us had hopes that he would restore some semblance of the Catholic faith to St Matthew's.  I am not so sure of that now.  During the panel discussion, Buening remarked how he met "holy gay and trans people".  FULL STOP!  One cannot be "holy" while continuing to reject the very nature of how God created them, and that is precisely what those engaged in sexual perversions are doing.  Moving on, he said his ministry was about "listening, hearing stories, accompanying people on a long and winding road..."  Then he lamented how the Church has been "condemning and judgmental...I started to feel very strongly that we as a Church need to change this, not just with dry catechesis, but love and relationships."

Fr. Muth
Let me pause for a little unpacking. First, don't we all hear echoes of Francis in this speech, what with all the talk about "accompanying" and "dry catechesis versus love"?  Accompany?  To where, precisely?  Moreover, this "dry catechesis" is God's word and commands.  Without these being promulgated clearly and often, the sexually deviant person will be "accompanied" straight to hell.  All are welcomed into the Church, but all must come in via way of repentance, and that means repentance from sexual perversions of all sorts, including the LGBTQ categories.

The last question for the panel members was who inspired them the most.  Father Bruening stated that his inspiration was Father Muth, his disaster-laden predecessor at St Matthew's.  He also gave a shout-out to Muth for he was in attendance.  In fact, Muth was seated just a few rows in front of me.  Truth be told, when I first noted him as I sat down, I thought he looked somewhat familiar.  As Bruening spoke, the bulk of the attendees broke out into a rather loud yet dismaying applause.  Such adulation revealed the regrettable mindsets of too many Catholics.

Thus the panel discussion ended and we all headed to various workshops.  They will be the topic of subsequent posts.

Baltimore LGBT Ministry Being Run By A Practicing Gay

St Matthew's on Loch Raven Boulevard is by no means Baltimore's only parish to be headed to hell in a handbasket.  For a handy list of such parishes, we can thank (?) New Ways Ministry for its list of "LGBTQ-friendly parishes".  Of course we know that these parishes are on that list as they are reputed to be, in varying degrees, feeding their children scorpions when they need solid Catholic teaching and faithful administration of the Sacraments.

Of course St Matthew's is listed, but let's look at St. Ignatius in this post.  As expected from its name, it is a Jesuit-run parish, so that's one strike against it right then and there.  Like St Matthew's, this parish also has an unabashed presence during Baltimore's "pride parades".  We see that the parish has a LGBTQ "ministry" that they call "Embracing God's Gifts".    I wonder what they would call a ministry for serial rapists/murderers, but I digress!  Most of these groups are nothing more than mortal sinners and their enablers trying to justify their mortal sins to themselves and each others; and they probably also function as "dating services".

This group is under the direction of Gordon Creamer.  As one of his other endeavors, he created something called Mission Bridge.  He touts himself to be a "spiritual director" and Reiki practitioner.  The latter is thoroughly new age and thus heretical.  So is the Sisters of Bon Secours (where this Mission Bridge is headquartered)..  They are headquartered in Marriotsville MD.  Over ten years ago, when I was a board member of the Gabriel Network, we held a board meeting there, not knowing just what the place was.  I arrived at the meeting late and dashed into our meeting room, not having time to take in my surroundings.  After the meeting ended, we looked around and were aghast at what we saw: pamphlets touting the benefits of crystals and ashrams and of course, the labyrinth outside.  Needless to say, we never returned.  I digress again!

Now please take a look at the top picture.  This picture is from St Ignatius's page on the 2019 pride parade.  The other man is Brian Fitzek. A picture of him can be seen on his Linkedin page.  You can see the two of them together in the next picture from Fitzek's facebook page (right side).  By the way - isn't that outfit on Creamer just..special?  Interesting yellow fluffy hat and spaghetti straps, with his hand on Fitzek's shoulder!  But again I digress.

Below is an announcement of their "marriage" that ran in the October 16, 2014 edition of the Baltimore Sun (note the web reference at the bottom of the picture).  Consider that Creamer and Fitzek co-own their home, according to the MD Department of Assessments and Taxation.  These facts indicate that Creamer and Fitzek are in a sodomite relationship.  The important question is, does Father Casciotti know about this?  In fact, does he care?

We may well surmise that in his parish position of running this "embracing God's gifts" thing, Creamer is utterly unqualified to be promoting chastity to those afflicted with same-sex attractions.  The situation is not akin to a "wolf in sheep's clothing" but rather a "wolf in shepherd's clothing".  We should contact the parish here and suggest his removal.

While having this conversation with the parish, we might well ask them how it could be that they would allow such an obvious dissident to be in a prominent position in the parish.  If nothing else, Creamer seems to be quite open about his proclivities.  I don't for one second believe that they are so oblivious that they failed to notice that their parish was marching in gay parades.  The parish administration is most likely guilty of aiding and abetting sodomite sins and they need to be rebuked.  Quite frankly, I think they only way they will understand that is if the Sunday collection baskets are boycotted.

I would also suggest contacting Archbishop Lori about this situation.  Now we see that at least two of Baltimore's parishes (St Matthew's is the other known one) participate in that debauched orgy known as Baltimore Pride while carrying their parishes' names on their banners.  What is he doing about this mess?  Why does he persist on turning a blind eye to these (known) scandals?  Perhaps a boycott of the collection baskets might finally get his attention.

Archbishop Lori Asks Homophile Priest To Retire - Call To Action On Our Part

We in Maryland recently learned that Archbishop Lori has asked for the retirement of long-time sodomy-enabling Father Joseph Muth, pastor of St. Matthew's Catholic Church.  In fact, the "ask" is more like "order".  We are delighted to no end and we thank God that some measure of spiritual health and sanity might soon return to that blighted parish.  Father Muth asked the Archbishop for an extension; the Archbishop declined that request.

I have written quite a bit about that parish and the gay-enabling filth that has poured forth from that place for many years; see here, here, here.  Regrettably a sizable portion of the parishioners seem to be of Muth's homophile mindset.  They conducted a meeting to discuss this development, and possible actions they would take.  A Defend Life reporter attended that meeting.  After she was recognized, she was ejected.  No one questions their right to remove people from their meetings.  However, one can wonder why they were so afraid to have a reporter in attendance.  What did they have to hide?

She wrote the following article, that I'll append below.  I'll have more commentary, with actions that you can take to help restore spiritual health to the Church in Baltimore.

Abp. Lori orders early retirement of LGBT activist priest

Denies Fr. Muth’s request to stay on; parishioners plan pushback

Archbishop William Lori has told Father Joseph Muth, pastor of St. Matthew and Blessed Sacrament parishes in Baltimore, that he wants the long-time LGBT activist priest to retire in September 2020, at age 72.
Father Muth told his parishioners that he asked the Archbishop that he be allowed to remain until he was 75, but that Lori denied his request.
Muth, who was ordained in the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 1974 and has served in various archdiocesan churches since then, has labored indefatigably for years to promote not just acceptance but downright approval of active homosexual and other LGBT behavior by both St. Matthew Church and the Catholic Church in general.
The priest has been an active member of New Ways Ministry, a Maryland-based national organization founded in 1977 to push for acceptance of active gay and lesbian Catholics within the Catholic Church.
The Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith condemned the group’s positions on homosexuality in 1999.
Father Muth’s pro-homosexual efforts have met with payoff.
In 2015 Newsweek.com ran with a hugely sympathetic article and videos about the LEAD (LGBT Education and Affirming Diversity) Ministry, which Muth founded at St. Matthew.
The following year, the Baltimore Museum of Art hosted an exhibit featuring videos extolling Muth’s efforts, through LEAD, to condone homosexual behavior.

On February 18, about fifty people attended a meeting in St. Matthew parish hall to launch a campaign opposing Archbishop Lori’s retirement dictum.
“This is the first of three meetings we will have,” explained former priest Peter McIver, who helped conduct the meeting.  “We don’t want to have a knee-jerk reaction—we want to get ideas and strategy.”
Father Muth, present at the meeting, quoted from the Letter of James 1, 2:  “Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”
His listeners responded with enthusiastic applause.
One of the meeting organizers then read aloud Father Muth’s lengthy statement, which he had given at his January 15-16 Masses.
“The Archbishop wants me to retire” in September 2020, he told his congregants.
Archdiocesan policy calls for a priest to notify the archbishop when he turns 70, he explained.
Muth said he wrote to the Archbishop that he would be 70 in 2018.  He asked him for permission to stay until 2023, “when I turn 75.”
One reason for his request, he said, was to see his pastorate “through the final stages of its strategic planning process.”
The Archbishop, in a January 2020 letter, replied that “after careful consideration,” he thought it would be “in the best interests” to keep the original retirement date of September 2020.
After the organizer finished reading Father Muth’s statement, the priest commented to the audience, “Messengers come and go—however, the message stays the same:  All are welcome.”

The organizer then fielded questions for Muth from the audience, which two helpers posted on large sheets of paper.
Many of the questions revealed the questioners’ anger and frustration at the Archbishop’s retirement mandate.
“What is meant by ‘after careful consideration’?” asked one person.
“Why did they pick on Father Muth?” asked another.
“Is this the only parish that has a reputation of being as liberal and welcome to all?” a woman asked.
Another woman asked Muth directly, “Do you have the sense that you know that [Lori’s retirement mandate] is because of your activism to the immigrants and the LGBT community?”
“I have a sense that that is part of it,” Muth admitted.  “But there are three other parishes with an active LGBT group, and five others are considering it.”

While the questioning was proceeding, a man in the audience, who earlier had mentioned that he was part of the LEAD Ministry, saw a Defend Life reporter sitting next to him taking notes, and asked if she was a reporter, and with whom.
When she told him, he immediately got up and walked over to Father Muth, who was standing nearby, and whispered to him.
A few minutes later, the woman conducting the questioning announced, “This is a safe place, where a person can give their thoughts and opinions freely.  We’re going to pause for several minutes and ask that anyone who is planning on reporting the meeting to respect that and leave.”
She looked straight at the reporter.
The reporter objected to the term “safe place,” saying that she was not going to use names, and no one’s “safety” was going to be violated.
The organizer repeated that this was a planning and strategy session for the parish, and parishioners wanted to be able to speak freely.
“But this is a newsworthy event,” the reporter objected.  “It’s of rightful interest to Catholics in other parishes in the Archdiocese!  What about freedom of the press?”
The organizer continued to insist that she leave.
“So I’m being ordered out,” the reporter retorted.  She put on her coat and left.
Defend Life has reported critically for four years on the LGBT activities of Father Muth and the LEAD Ministry, and of Archbishop Lori’s tacit permission, by his silence, of those activities.
Those reports included a photo revealing Father Muth marching in the 2016 Gay Pride Parade in Baltimore in 2016.

Defend Life also published a photo of LEAD Ministry members marching in Baltimore’s  2018 Pride Parade with signs identifying them as from St. Matthew Catholic Church, despite Lori’s asking Muth that no such signs be carried.

END OF ARTICLE

So the presence of the reporter was going to prevent the parishioners from speaking freely?  Why? Are they really such delicate little snowflakes?  Probably so, for the facilition of moral depravity often leads to cowardice and shame.

We can bet that one of their strategies will be to blast the Archbishop's office to get him to stand down.  What we MUST do is to contact his office too.  We must thank him for this step that he is taking and urge him to stand firm and not waver in the face of pressure - be it from these errant parishioners or perhaps even his homophile brother bishops.

I'd also suggest contacting Father Muth or at least the parish office.  Urge him to obey the archbishop's request without further ado.  Urge him to use his retirement time to repent and do reparation, for owing to his gay activism, he has placed his soul in grave danger of damnation with that danger being multiplied for the sacrilege against his own Holy Orders.

Here is contact information for Archbishop Lori.   Contact information for Fr Muth is here.  You might also want to go to their social media sites and leave them messages.

Some Not-So-Surprising Factors That Occasioned Baltimore Riots

There's lots and lots of speculation regarding the underlying causes of the riots in Baltimore during this past week.  Ultimately the moral responsibility lies with those who perpetrated and engaged in the looting and destruction.  No one forced the thugs to loot stores, burn cars and heave rocks at police.  However there are other factors that contributed to the calamity in Baltimore.  And yes, there are those whose sick aims were furthered by the violence.

So what are some of these factors?  We have some really far-fetched crack-pot theories.  One CNN newsperson claimed that returning veterans are to blame (she was since forced to recant).  We have the Messiah Most Miserable himself trying to blame police in Fergusen race-baiting style.  He also tried to blame the GOP-Controlled Congress for not throwing what he considers adequate funding towards urban communities.  He was more or less echoed by Steny Hoyer, Minority Whip for Congress - and a Maryland Democrat.  He too clamored for more funding.

A post from the Maryland Conservative Action Network pointed out two key things regarding Baltimore.  The first was a facebook post written by Michael Smigiel, a Maryland State Delegate who sat on the Judiciary Committee and got quite an inside view regarding the draconian policies of Martin O'Malley, the former MD governor who was also once mayor of Baltimore.  He points out that the Baltimore Police, under then-mayor O'Malley, adopted a theory known as zero-tolerance policing, placing people under arrest for the most trivial of infractions.  In other words, he began to introduce a police-state.  Consider that O'Malley has his sights set on the White House; some say that Obama prefers him to Hillary Clinton.  If we want a harbinger of what the country would look like under an O'Malley presidency, we need look no further than Baltimore.  Sheriff David Clarke of Milwaukee, himself a Democrat, puts the blame squarely on "failed liberal policies".  There is much merit to what he says, but I think the problem is more insidious than that.

Let's look at the current mayor of Baltimore, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.  She will never live down her admission that "we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well".  For those who find that hard to believe (especially since she's now trying to deny that statement,), I post the video.  After watching, please continue past it for more commentary.

This gal is not only mayor of Baltimore, but she serves as Secretary for the Democratic National Committee.  My!  Such a busy woman!  One might be tempted to excuse this teensy slip of the tongue, since she must be frazzled from wearing so many hats.  But..it may not be just a momentary gaffe.  Was it not Rahm Emanuel, aka "Deadfish Rahm-bo" now mayor of Chicago, who said "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste"?  Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, penned an open letter to Blake urging her to resign her office.  That's a lovely thought, but I don't think that will happen.  I suspect she did precisely what the DNC higher-ups (and she's one of them!) wanted her to do.  Reat Matthew Vadum's take on the machinations that caused Blake to order the police stand-down.  They wanted the chaos, being the good little Alinksyans that they are.

One glimmering ray of hope came from all this as we all watched Toya Graham forcilbly remove her rioting son from the melee, administering motherly discipline as she did so.  Notice that the Baltimore Police Commissioner lauded her actions, saying "I wish I had more parents taking charge of their kids tonight".  However, that got one Washington Post writer in a hissy-snit-fit.  In her op-ed piece, she decried "the mom's violence", saying she was teaching her boy not to "resist white supremacy".   This lame-brain media gal is following the progressive mantra.  I'll translate her screed:"How dare the family step in and take charge of their own?  Don't they know that the village must raise their children?  They should step aside for we are the progressives and government is god!"  How's that for paraphrasing liberal gobbly-gook?

From The "Francis Effect Department" - Baltimore Catholic Review Shills For "Gay Coming Out"

Since the heresy known as the interim relatio was allowed to be published from the SinNod two weeks ago, we've been seeing increasingly blatant advocacy for dissent from supposedly Catholic institutions.

The following article is from the Catholic Review, the official publication of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  I need to reemphasize that it comes from an official Catholic publication for one could easily be confused into thinking it's from a "New Ways" newsletter or even the Gay Blade.  It's in the October 23rd online issue and the link is http://www.catholicreview.org/article/home/st-matthew-broaches-topic-of-coming-out-for-parents-gay-catholics

We urge all to contact Archbishop William E. Lori, as well as the staff of the Review.  Point out that they offer false consolation to those struggling with same-sex attractions.  We wish to point them towards repentance, salvation and healing.  In no way do we want to affirm them as they engage in mortally sinful acts nor do we wish to approve of their family members as they misguidedly affirm such sin - such affirmation would be its own mortal sin.  With the release of this article they failed utterly in their mission as Catholic journalists to proclaim Christ to the world.

I trust that they will have the good sense (unless the Francis Effect is more advanced than I suspect) to pull that article and issue a retraction.  I will reproduce it below so you can see just what was allowed to be printed in a Catholic newspaper.  You may also wish to contact this St. Matthew's parish and urge them to once again be a truly Catholic institution as opposed to a glorified dating service for gays.

And now, the article.

St. Matthew broaches topic of ‘coming out’ for parents, gay Catholics

October 24, 2014

By Maria Wiering

mwiering@CatholicReview.org

“Coming out is a journey for the whole family,” a Catholic mother of a gay son said Oct. 12.

She and her husband shared their family’s story at St. Matthew Parish in Northwood as part of a nine-person panel discussion called “When a Family Member Comes Out.”

Moderated by Father Joseph L. Muth Jr., pastor of St. Matthew and Blessed Sacrament in Baltimore, the panel included three gay Catholics, two sets of parents of gay adult children, and a pastoral counselor from Loyola University of Maryland.

Each panelist shared his or her experience, including how coming out as gay affected their relationship with family members and the Catholic Church.

About 50 people attended the two-hour event, which included a question-and-answer session. Attendees asked for advice on personal situations, including navigating conversations with family members.

“People find themselves in a confusing place because they have a faith that allows them to be strong in the face of adversity, but they sometimes have a church that’s been challenging them about how they should see their family members who are gay,” said Father Muth in an interview after the event.

The panel discussion coincided with National Coming Out Day, Oct. 11. It was an extension of LEAD, St. Matthew’s LGBT ministry. The 3-year-old organization hosts monthly meetings. Its members have marched twice in Baltimore’s Pride Parade.

Relationships vary

Panelists candidly described realizing they or their children were gay and initially fearing the judgment of others, especially people at their churches. Some panelists maintained strong family relationships. Others, such as John, felt rejected and hurt. A gay Catholic and St. Matthew parishioner who asked his last name not be printed, John shared his experience of feeling shunned by his Catholic parents, who insisted on years of therapy. He spent time in seminary, and also participated in Courage, an apostolate for gay Catholics that focuses on helping its members live celibately.

Over the years, John’s relationship with his parents has repeatedly frozen and thawed, he said. At times they refused to allow him to use “we” or “our” to refer to his then boyfriend, now legal husband; other times they met the two for dinner.

“To live with that tension, it’s incredibly difficult,” he said.

“No matter the amount of fuss you put up, it’s not going to change that they’re gay or lesbian,” John added, speaking to parents of gay children. “There’s a hyper-focus on (being) gay as the worst sin. That’s hard to shake off. For me, it’s been a process.”

A welcoming approach?

The panel was held in the middle of the 11-day Synod of Bishops on the family in Rome, where topics included pastoral responses to gay relationships. Midterm and final reports suggested disagreement among bishops over the kind of welcome gay Catholics should receive in the church.

Despite the church’s insistence that its marriage teaching will not change, several panelists stated support for church sanctioning of gay marriage. All three of the gay panelists were civilly married to same-sex partners. Several explicitly rejected Catholic teaching that marriage is reserved for a one-man-one-woman relationship, and that all non-married Catholics, including those who are gay, are “called” to celibacy.

Father Muth said that he’s spoken with people who feel positive about the synod’s potential outcomes on homosexuality.

“The church teaching may or may not change at some point down the road – that’s not something I can do anything about – but the initial step to people who have felt rejected and put aside for many years is to create an atmosphere of welcome,” he said.

That atmosphere also encourages gay Catholics to tell their stories, he said.

“I think through that storytelling, people begin to see how hurt people have been and how they’ve turned away from the church,” he said. “With the church’s whole emphasis on this new evangelization, this is a real opportunity to reverse the attitude – to have a more welcoming, compassionate, listening attitude, to tell people they can be included.”

Baltimore Parish Openly Facilitates Sodomy

Our Lord Jesus Christ founded the Roman Catholic Church, that is, the One True Church, for one reason: to help souls get to heaven.  That is her sacred charge: from the Vatican on down to the individual parish.  In Baltimore there exists one parish that is doing the precise opposite.

I speak of St. Matthew's Church on Loch Raven Boulevard - quite close to one of my early childhood homes.  While we usually attended St. Pius X, occasionally we would attend Sunday Mass at St Matthew's.  In those days, during the early 1960s, all Catholic Churches embraced their God-given mission.  St. Matthew's has now reneged and is actually greasing the skids to hell for many of its parishioners.  By affirming sodomites in their mortal sins, they are showing anything but charity towards them, for true charity leads away from sin and to heaven through repentance and the Sacraments.  In fact, because they are formally and materially cooperating in mortal sin, many in the parish who participate in this enabling of sodomy are guilty of mortal sin - most especially the pastor, Father Joseph Muth.  The proverbial "millstone around the neck" appears to be a parish organization called LEAD; I'll provide screenshots of the website below.

There is quite a detailed article regarding the parish on the website of the Not-At-All Catholic Reporter.  You'll see that this LEAD outfit is not concerned at all about leading homosexuals from their life of sin into a truly Catholic life.  No, instead they revel in the fact that they have two "married" lesbians (one of them being a former Catholic sister) and that they participated in Baltimore's gay pride parade last summer.  Most disturbing is that Auxiliary Bishop Denis Madden said of LEAD, "I was impressed by them.  They are good people."  If Bishop Madden thinks that folks who are literally leading others to perdition are "good people", I can only surmise that he himself jeopardizes his own soul by giving his own affirmation to sodomy.

Here are the screen shots with some commentary.  Then please continue reading below.

What you see to the right are pictures of Baltimore's gay pride parade, a celebration of perversion and
mortal sin.  One gets the impression that this webmaster tried to get pictures that weren't too vile, but this one is bad enough.

Now you see on this subpage is a list of the usual "gang of suspects": every gay rights group that has at least a thin "katholyc" veneer.  So does that really include the National Coalition of American Nuns?  No wonder so many of these orders are dying off!  Apparently there is another parish in
Baltimore that is similarly infested: St Ignatius.  We'll look at them at another time

Here is the contact information for the prelate of Baltimore, Archbishop William Lori.  Contact him and ask him what he intends to do about this situation.  As Archbishop, he is the chief shepherd of this parish and he bears responsibility before God for each and every one of those souls that is imperiled by this scandalous situation.  Given the fact that the Not-At-All Catholic Reporter has broadcast this debacle nationwide, there is no way that Archbishop Lori can plead ignorance.  Insist that Lori disciplines Father Muth; while he's at it, he might want to address serious matters with Auxiliary Bishop Madden as well.

Baltimore Catholic Review Salutes Pro-Gay Activism Of Local Priest

Several priests in the Archdiocese of Baltimore have retired, including the renegade priest Father Joseph Muth.  Recall that his retirement wasn't entirely voluntary; Archbishop Lori asked for his retirement, and for ample reason.  The Catholic Review sang the praises of these new retirees, Father Muth among them.   I thought that the Review, being the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, might have the good sense not to mention the gay pandering of Father Muth throughout the years.  After all, to have a priest actually herding his all-too-willing sheep on the their way to hell is not exactly worthy of praise.  It speaks ill of the Review, and perhaps the Archdiocese of Baltimore itself, that they would choose to celebrate Father Muth's promotion of mortal sin.

Baltimore Catholics, would not "letters to the editor" be in order?  I suspect that the Review is at least partially funded by the Archdiocese of Baltimore: in other words, by your contributions.  Do you want your contributions used to affirm mortal sin?   On the Review's page, I saw no provision for letter submission, so I'd suggest that you send yours to mail@CatholicReview.org.  Not only Baltimore Catholics, but all faithful Catholics should protest this travesty.  Here is my letter to the editor.

Dear Editor, I read with disappointment Christopher Gunty’s all-too-glowing article regarding the retirement of Father Joseph Muth.  It’s understandable that when highlighting the career of a retiring priest, that the Archdiocese would wish to laud his legitimate accomplishments.  However, his activity for the mortal sin of homosexual conduct is  not among those accomplishments.  He validated so-called “gay couples” in their mortal sin.  Time and again, he led a contingent of St Matthew’s parishioners in Baltimore’s “gay pride” parade, while carrying a St. Matthew’s banner.  The list of scandalous behaviors could go on.

Gundy’s article says that he provided “welcome” for gay people.  May I remind you that Holy Mother Church has always provided that welcome?  She has always welcomed not only homosexual people but others also embroiled in mortal sins such as murder, drunken behavior, theft, etc.  That welcoming has always been accomplished through the Sacrament of Confession, when those in mortal sin foreswear their sinful conduct.  Mr Gundy and most likely others of the Review staff seem to approve of homosexual conduct; in so voicing that approval, they commit their own sin and most likely could benefit from a visit to a confessional themselves.

Archbishop Gregory Opens Mouth And Inserts Both Feet

Archbishop Gregory made one of his first public addresses a day or so ago.  He took the occasion to lob a pot-shot at President Trump for accurately stating that parts of Baltimore are filled with both trash and violent crimes.  He spun the president's remarks to insinuate that Trump aimed derogatory remarks at the Baltimore citizens themselves.  Quite frankly, both Gregory's and Lori's remarks are themselves dishonest and nonsensical.

Both Lori and Gregory are part of the liberal Church establishment.  They get lots of favors by doing the bidding of their Democrat task-masters.  They are coming to the defense of those task-masters because it's the Democrats that have been in charge of Baltimore for over 50 years.  Baltimore has not seen a Republican mayor since Theodore McKelden left that office in 1967.  Democrats have been at the helm since then - and two of those Demorats were the father and brother of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.  But that's just a coincidence, I'm sure (ahem)!  There are many questions as to how Baltimore handled Federal grants throughout the years; where did that money go??

By the way - Washington DC has gone down the tubes as well.  DC's mayors have all been Democrats for the past 45 years.  Lori and Gregory should take a walk on their respective cities' wild sides and see for themselves how their cities have fared under their Democrat buddies.  One left-wing reporter from Fox 45 Baltimore did that in a run-down Baltimore neighborhood.  As she sniffed that Trump should "take a look at things for himself", a rat photobombed her video.  Take a look.

If Lori and Gregory can't give honest appraisals of the situations of their dioceses, maybe they should stick to their God-given jobs - you know, like, making sure the Faith is taught properly in their parishes, cleaning perversion from their parishes (like St Matthew's, Abhp Lori!), disciplining pro-abortion Catholic pols in their Churches by obeying Canon 915, you get the picture!

Until these things happen, I'd suggest complete boycotts of any archdiocesan collections in both DC and Baltimore.

Archbishop Lori Lies About Baltimore

Either the archbishop is lying or he is inexcusably deluded about the true nature of things in the center of his archdiocese.  For the record, I was born and lived early childhood in Baltimore.  My family (both sides) has its roots in Baltimore.  That said, I agree with President Trump when he tweeted that sections of Baltimore (Elijah Cummings' district to be precise) is infested with crime and rats.

Once upon a time it was a decent place.  Now why did it go to seed?  Well, consider that the last time that a Republican was mayor was in 1967, when Theodore McKeldin's term ended.  That was over 50 years ago.  Now consider the riots that occurred four years ago.  Then Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said she ordered city police to stand down during the looting, burning and mayhem to give "to those who wished to destroy space to do that".  At that time, Lori was archbishop.  Did he selectively forget that little quip or the other Democrat scandals centered in Baltimore?

But progressive bishops have long marched in lock-step with their Democrat sugar-daddies and puppet-masters!  So when the President spoke truth to the mess that is in Baltimore, Lori had to leap to their defense, knowing damned well that the Democrats made Baltimore into a mess, just as they have done for Detroit, Chicago and other metropolitan areas that they control.

Archbishop Lori, if you truly want to help Baltimore, then start being the leader that the local Catholics need.  That means clearing St Matthew's and St Vincent de Paul's of the gay-nazi filth that is poisoning the souls of their parishioners and the surrounding areas.  That means preaching from the pulpit on the evils of contraception, abortion, euthanasia.  That means calling pro-abortion Catholics to repentance and denying Holy Communion to them until they do.  Are you up for the challenge?

Archdiocese Of Baltimore Aids And Abets Border Crashers

Canon 212 pointed me to this article from Not-At-All Catholic Reporter.  Given its dissident slant, NCR speaks glowingly of this nonsense.  However, it is scandalous on several fronts.

This isn't the first time that Lori has pandered to border-crashers.  Dare I opine that the scent of federal grants is a strong impetus for this pandering?

One of the parishes that will roll out this program is St Matthews - yes, that St Matthew's!  This sorry excuse for a parish has openly participated in Baltimore's "gay pride" parades during the summers.  Lori ostensibly told them that they were not to carry signs that identify the parish in last summer's parade.  Mind you, he didn't tell them not to particpate at all, but just to keep the parish name hush-hush.  Of course St Matthew's flouted that directive anyway.  So what did Lori do?  Absolutely nothing.  He just turned a blind eye as he always has.  A real bishop with half a spine and sense of duty would have placed that errant parish under interdict a long time ago in addition to defrocking the dissident pastor.  Doesn't it make one wonder just what Muth et al are holding over Lori's head?  And now we hear that Lori is giving them a prominent role in his own smooching up to illegal aliens.

We also hear that an outfit called Baltimore United In Leadership Development is also playing a prominent role.  Now click on its "about us" subpage.  Notice that they are affiliates of the Industrial Areas Foundation.  The IAF was founded by Saul Alinsky himself.  Please study the posts in the preceding two links to understand why it's most harmful for the Church in Baltimore to grant legitimacy to any Alinskyite organization.

So there you have it!  To curry favor with the progressives running Baltimore and to glom onto some grants tied to illegal immigration, the Archdiocese of Baltimore is striking hands with both a flaming dissident parish and a left-wing Alinskyite organization.  What could possibly go right with this arrangement?

I believe the Archdiocese of Baltimore is conducting its CCHD in-pew collection in a weekend or two.  This is one collection that should be totally boycotted.

Gay Priest Retreat In Maryland This Coming April

Last week LifeSiteNews published an opinion piece entitled "Time For Bishops To Be Faithful And Shut Down Renegade Priests Who Champion Homosexuality".  A picture of Baltimore's Archbishop William Lori is at the top of the piece.  The reason for that is the scheduled "retreat" for gay priests that is slated to be held at Bon Secours Retreat Center in Marriottsville MD from April 12-14.   The retreat is being led by Fr Peter Daly and most likely Father James Martin will be in attendance.  Let's examine the pieces to this impending debacle.

Bon Secours is itself a dissident den of iniquity.  If the name sounds familiar to readers of this blog, that is because Bon Secours is where Gordon Creamer, gay-married parish council chair of St Ignatius Catholic Church, carries on with his so-called "spiritual direction".  St Ignatius is a parish in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore City.  They openly flaunt their participation in Baltimore's "gay pride" parade/orgies.  I tried to engage the pastor about the matter, but oddly enough (cough!) he wasn't particularly interested in discussing the matter!  I submit that this pastor, along with Fr Joseph Muth of St Matthew's on Loch Raven Blvd are priests whom Lori should shut down.

Let's look at the retreat leader, Father Peter Daly, as I've written quite a bit about him, too.  In this anthology of posts, you see an account of his interactions with  young men struggling with same-sex attraction.  He admits to telling them that their disordered inclinations aren't disordered and that to act on them isn't sinful.  He pointed them straight towards hell and gave a nudge.  One can bet that is exactly what will happen in Marriottsville in two months.

Now let's look at the reactions of the two Maryland archbishops.  Archbishop Lori continues to turn a blind eye on both St Matthew's and St Ignatius.  Both are dens of gay perversions; there could be more.  These are the only two of which I'm aware at this time  Archbishop Gregory has actually shown himself to be an ally of proponents of gay perversions.  This past summer he openly praised Fortunate Familes duing one of his first "Theology on Tap" presentations.

Will they listen to our demands that they clean up their churches?  One language that they seem to understand is that of money - or more accurately, lack of donation money.  The DC archdiocese is gearing up for its Annual Appeal.  It used to be called the Archbishop's or Cardinal's Appeal (depending on rank of prelate).  They at least know that they cannot invoke the prelate to raise money, as our prelates of late have been, uh, "credibility-challenged" shall we say.  On the webpage they say that 60+ charities are supported via this collection.  Guess what?  You can support good charities directly, without the Archdiocese taking a cut of them.  Moreover, you'd be able to select the recipients of your hard-earned dollars.  Do NOT give one red penny to this or any other diocesan-wide collection.  They have proven over and over again to be unworthy recipients of donations and inept stewards to boot.  I don't know when the Baltimore campaign will happen, but that too should be boycotted until Archbishop Lori disinfects St Matthew's and St Ignatius AND quashes this upcoming "retreat".

Baltimore's Bishop Madden Said What??!!?!

Three months ago, I wrote of St. Matthew's Church in Baltimore Maryland.  It is a Catholic parish that has been taken over by gay activists, with the cooperation of its pastor, Father Joseph Muth.  More troubling is the apparent approval of Auxiliary Bishop Denis Madden and the willful silence of Archbishop William Lori.  The Baltimore chancery has been contacted about this matter numerous times; none of us who did so received the courtesy of a reply.

Defend Life is a Catholic pro-life organization that is based in Baltimore.  They publish a bi-monthly newsletter.  The Jan-Feb issue came out a few days ago and has an expose on the moral rot that has infested St. Matthew's.  It also details the depths of depravity to which Bishop Madden seems to have sunk in his support of the gay infestation at that church.  The article is here and you can read the first few lines to get an impression as to how low the bishop has allowed himself to fall.

The bishop is reported to have congratulated two women for engaging in acts that will most likely condemn them to hell for all eternity.  The author of the article made plain throughout the article that they attempted to contact the chancery for clarification on this matter.  As before, the chancery has not given the author any reply.  I agree that "silence implies consent".  At any rate, the bishop did exactly the opposite of what a real successor of the apostles would do, e.g., explain to the women that they are endangering their souls, that they should break off the sinful relationship and get to confession immediately.  If these women die unrepentant, Bishop Madden will have these souls to his charge.

I am again urging that we all contact the Baltimore chancery and politely but firmly demand that they take corrective measures lest the goings-on at this parish facilitate eternal damnation for hundreds of poor souls.

Archdiocese Of Baltimore Swirling Down The Gay-Enabling Cesspool

The following pictures are of handouts distributed at the Archdiocese of Baltimore Social Ministry Convocation this past Saturday.

Please understand that these papers were not obtained from a booth set up after one of those gay-pride parade-orgies.  These were openly displayed and distributed at an official function of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  That is to say that the Archdiocese of Baltimore openly promoted and facilitated mortal sins of homosexual perversions.

The letter to the left alludes to the Rosary in reparation that we planned to hold on the sidewalk, if the transgender-enabling session occurred.  I don't know what they thought a group of Rosary-praying Catholics were going to do, but I understand that there was heightened security in that meeting.

Please note that they "intend to coordinate with the Archdiocese to safely hold this workshop soon".  I don't know what is "safe" about the approval of homosexual conduct, since that does constitute formal cooperation with homosexual sins, and will tend towards eternal damnation for all involved.

Please look at the pink flyer.  Father Buening replaced the dissident Father Joseph Muth at Saint Matthew's on Loch Raven Boulevard.  The Archdiocese did indeed create that position of "LGBT+ Coordinator".   So what precisely does that mean?  Yes, Father was involved in the Courage outreach, but we also note that LEAD still exists at St Matthew's.   What gives?

If all this "welcoming" and "including" does not entail usage of the Sacrament of Confession as part of repentance of the sin of homosexual conduct, it is nothing but the bestowal of false comfort as deluded and self-deceived souls literally head straight for hell.  All of the Gospels make crystal clear that Jesus' message was that repentance was a necessary prerequisite for the reception of God's mercy.  He dined with sinners -repentant sinners.  This "social ministry convocation" is evidence that the Archdiocese of Baltimore has forgotten this crucial fact, and had better recall it quickly.

From The Fox Guarding Hen House Department - Lori Investigates Bransfield

Bishop Michael Bransfield of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston (WV) is no longer the prelate of that diocese.  He is currently under investigation for alleged homosexual predation on young men.  He is 75 years old anyway and accordingly had to submit his resignation.  This diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore is leading the investigation into the Bransfield allegations.  He will also serve as apostolic administrator of Wheeling-Charleston until the pope appoints a new bishop.

This is another case of the fox guarding the hen house.  Church Militant articulated their own concerns about this development.  In addition, I have written quite a bit about the homosexual infiltration that has been allowed to fester within the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  Much of my writing has been focused on St Matthew's on Loch Raven Boulevard.  Its pastor, Father Joseph Muth, has been defiant in his promotion of the mortal sin of sodomy, going so far as to lead his parish as they march in Baltimore's "gay pride" parade year after year.  Over the years I and others have written to Lori to ask him to replace Muth, as he is leading many in this parish to hell.  A friend pointed out to me that in addition to St Matthew's, Muth is now scandalizing the parishioners of Blessed Sacrament on Old York Road as well.  That is a recent assignment and had to be Lori's doing.

Lori is probably yet another prelate who should be thinking of early retirement.  He is not qualified, by dint of his own facilitation of gays in Baltimore, to be investigating anybody.

St. Ignatius Of Baltimore - EGG On Its Face, Mortal Sin To Its Charge

Two months ago I wrote of St. Matthew's Church on Loch Raven Boulevard in Baltimore.  It is infested with those promoting the mortal sin of homosexual perversion - and that includes the pastor!  When I wrote that piece, I indicated that I'd write of another sin-swamp parish and now I'll do so.

This den of iniquity is called St. Ignatius Catholic Community.  It's on Calvert Street in the Mount Vernon area.  It touts itself as "the Jesuit Church of Baltimore".  I might say that would explain a lot of what I'll detail, but then what's the excuse for the malfeasances of St. Matthew's?

St. Ignatius also has a "gay ministry", that is, a group that will lull to sleep what remains of the consciences of homosexual Catholics so that they can commit mortal sin with their consciences effectively paralyzed.  Of course in committing these sins, they are greatly increasing their chances of incurring the pains of hell in the afterlife.  The pastor and other leaders of that parish, being answerable to God for the souls in their charge, will likely have hell to pay (literally) if they don't change course while they're still on this side of the grave.

You should have the St. Ignatius site open in its own window.  Let's now take a tour, shall we?   Go to the top menu and hover your mouse over "ministries".  Click on "community building".  A new page opens up and you'll see on the left something called "Embracing God's Gifts" (EGG).  This is St. Ignatius's "gay ministry".  How did they come to adopt this title "embracing God's gifts"?  I have a theory that I think is entirely plausible.  Recall the Extraordinary Synod on the Family that occurred in October 2014.  Readers of this blog will recall that an interim report was released by the Vatican; I'll link to it on the Vatican website.  I refer you to paragraph 50, where the pope seems to be condoning homosexual conduct.  (For those interested, here are some archives for review).   If anyone ever wanted prima facie evidence of the harm caused by the pope's ambiguity, here's a prime example.

Let's examne the EGG page.  There is a video where Gordon Creamer (director?).  He talks of celebrating "gifts and contribution of gay and lesbian members"; he's hearkening back to paragraph 50 of the sin-nod's interim report.  Notice the "mission statement" that rolls by in "star wars" format.  Notice how it acknowledges being informed by church teaching, as opposed to being formed by Church teaching?  That difference is quite telling.  Then of course we have the loaded language of "open-mindedness" and "compassion".  At 2:34 Creamer states that "at various meetings we often study the Church's..body of literature".  Did you notice that moment of hesitancy?  Was he catching himself before he uttered the word "teachings" as opposed to "body of literature"?  He goes right into a book called "Fortunate Families".  I believe it's this book; it was on the table in the video.  Here is the website to "Fortunate Families".  This organization seems to be comprised of parents who are capitulating to the mortal sins in which their children are embroiled.  What they display is not charity, but cowardice and dereliction of duty.

Looking further down, we see that they have their monthly meetings and "pride cookouts" and even a "pride prayer service".  From the bulletin we see that they actually meet in parish offices; the announcement can be found right above the yoga announcement.  I now point you to an article published by New Ways Ministry.  If it can be believed (and that might well be the case), then the Archdiocese of Baltimore knows of the state of affairs at St. Ignatius and is, at the very least, turning a blind eye to the spiritual wreckage occurring at that church.  Such appears to be the case at St. Matthew's.

Let's go back to that "ministries" menu and look at "social responsibilities".  There's lots of indications that St. Ignatius falls into lockstep with the progressive agenda being promulgated.  For instance, if we look at the "economic justice"page, all we see are calls to lobby various governmental bodies for income/wealth redistribution.  No where do I see any calls for the parishioners to contribute to this "economic justice" out of their own means.  Then there's the obligatory call for amnesty for illegal aliens and such.

Now guess what's missing from that page?  I knew it wouldn't take too long to guess!  Yes!  There's no mention whatsoever of the greatest social injustice of this day - the slaughter of unborn children under the guise of legalized abortion.  With all these "ministries", where's the pro-life ministry?  The lack of such an endeavor tells me that this parish, by and large, simply doesn't care about authentic social justice nor for the teachings of Jesus Christ Himself.  Correction - it's there but you have to scroll down a good bit to see it.

I'm going to point out a seemingly unrelated incident.  It's not really unrelated as I'll elaborate in a few minutes.  On Friday, a 23-year-old seminarian was taken into custody at a San Diego airport.  He allegedly was en route to Mexico to engage in sexual acts - with helpless infants.  Yes, he was a Catholic seminarian who was about to engage in acts of brutal perversion.  One might wonder how such individuals can be so corrupted, or how the seminary did not screen him during the application process.  But all we need do is consider the corrupt parish life of parishes such as St. Ignatius, St Matthews and other "gay-friendly" parishes throughout the country and we needn't wonder.  If our parishes and dioceses aren't purified of this corruption soon, we can expect to see more such scenarios.

CCHD = Catholics Colluding with Homosexual Deviants

What else would you call this?  I'm talking about the (drum roll, please!) "41st Annual Social Minstry Convocation".  It will happen Saturday, Feb 29, at Mercy High School in Baltimore MD.

Take a visual stroll through this flyer.  It's chock-full of the usual "social justice" dribble: environmentalism, poverty, immigration, etc, with one striking addition.  Item 9 touts a workshop entitled "Why Our Parishes Need LGTBQ+ Ministries" - for safe places and all that!  You notice there's no talk of assisting these people out of their sinful lifestyles.  Given what we've seen of St. Ignatius and their group, we could safely surmise that these "ministries" aren't much more than dating services for deviants.  In other words, these "ministries" are about the sordid business of cooperating with mortal sin.  Is that what they mean by "social ministry"?

Now go to the very last page, the registration section.  To whom does one make their check to attend this gab-fest?  Why, to CCHD/Archdiocese of Baltimore!  So the Archdiocese of Baltimore is actually putting on this claptrap?  Well, let's look at their own webpage versus the flyer, which was found on St Matthew's site.  Shrewdly they did not post that flyer on their own site, but they do tout this "convocation".   Now look at the subpage for the awards presented.  You see that the same awards mentioned are similar to those in the flyer.  Despite their attempts to be discreet about their pro-gay shilling, Baltimore's CCHD has been caught with its hand in the cookie jar, so to speak.

So can one imagine CCHD facilitating sinful conduct?  Would they do it for any other destructive lifestyle choices, like usage of "recreational" drugs?  Well, yes.  Nationwide, they have given grants to marijuana farms and funded needle-exchange programs

As if we needed it, here is yet another reason to boycott the next CCHD collection.  For Baltimore, that will happen in November.  If you need additional reasons to boycott the collection, I'm sure some will sprout up between now and November.
