Vortex On Wendy Davis / CCHD Cozy Connections

Here's an expose done by Michael Voris on the relationship between rabid pro-abort Wendy Davis of the Texas State Senate and the CCHD, vis-a-vis Ralph McCloud.  Until I saw this, I was unaware that the two had worked together in Texas politics for six years.  That being said, there can be no shadow of a doubt that McCloud was fully aware that he was supporting abortion in the person of Wendy Davis as the two worked to unseat her pro-life opponent.

In the clip, Voris makes mention of some reports on the CCHD.  I have watched these and can attest that they are worth your investment in time to learn about this "snake in the grass" known as the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

A note to readers of the Archdiocese of Washington:
  • The archdiocesan collection for CCHD will occur during the weekend of Aug 10-11.  Please note that they have tweaked the name of the collection to read "Catholic Communications and Human Development".  Do not be deceived by this silly ploy.  This is  the CCHD collection.
  • Within the next week or two, this blog will announce steps that you can take to stanch the flow of Catholic cash to this collection and thus to Culture-of-Death organizations.  Stay tuned.
And now the video..

Mob Scene In Texas Legislature - CCHD's Hand In It

Last night the Texas State Senate was to vote on SB 5, which would have forbade abortions past 20 weeks in Texas.  Pro-abortion State Senator Wendy Davis conducted an 11-hour filibuster to prevent the vote.  According to their protocol, if procedures are violated 3 times, the filibuster is declared over.  When Davis committed her third foul, that's when pro-abortion spectators in the gallery started making boors and  hyenas of themselves.  They did so deliberately to prevent the vote, impeding legislative order.  As this series of tweets shows, Cecile Richards, CEO of Planned Parenthood, egged on the debacle; she probably picked up some important "mob-action" tips from her SEIU-bigwig husband.  In that link is a youtube showing the pro-aborts, in orange shirts, howling and cackling away.

The above happened during a special session called by Governor Rick Perry.  Today he announced another special session to resume the business that was interrupted in typical progressive community-organizing fashion.  I congratulate him and trust that the rule of law will prevail.

But now comes the revelation of the ties between Wendy Davis and - wait for it! - Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  I had learned of this two years ago, but it slipped my memory until some Facebook posts jogged my memory.  Here is a post by Creative Minority Report from two years ago.  During her 2008 campaign for office, Davis had the assistance of Ralph McCloud as her campaign treasurer.  This was during (not before, not after but during) his first year as head of the CCHD.  Of course everyone on this list has seen various pieces of campaign material: flyers, yard signs, etc.  By law they all bear the name of the campaign treasurer: meaning that everyone knew that McCloud was associated with a proponent of abortion.  Read the CMR link for more details, including alleged hanky-panky.  To this day McCloud is still head of the CCHD.  McCloud helped facilitate this woman's election - and her subsequent shilling for the murders of babies as exemplified in her filibuster.  Can we trust this man with one penny of Catholic donations?  Of course not!

So we have yet one more reason to boycott the CCHD collections within the next few months.  I wouldn't be a bit surprised if more "reasons" pop out of the woodwork.

Wendy Davis' Sad Tale Of Woe - Pack Of Lies

Wendy Davis, the Texas state pol who won notoriety for her filibuster against Texas pro-life legislation last summer (legislation that ultimately became Texas law, by the grace of God) is running for governor.  Something tells me she has her sights set on Washington, but I digress.

No doubt she realizes that her pro-abortion stances don't sit very well with many Texans.  Thus she apparently spun some whoppers of yarn about a mythical hard-scrabble past life.  No doubt this was done to engender some emotional appeal and admiration that "she triumphed over the odds stacked against her".  She tried to portray herself as a single teen-age mother.  Having stated that she was divorced at age 19, she was forced to admit that her real age was 21.  Ooops!

Then she divorced husband number 2: right after he made her last student loan payment; when I said "right after", I meant the following day after the payment.  Of course that's just a coincidence (ahem!).  He accused her of adultery during that drama.  His accusation must have been deemed credible for he was awarded custody of their two daughters.  She didn't appear too distressed, saying, "I think you’re right; you’ll make a good, nurturing father. While I’ve been a good mother, it’s not a good time for me right now."  While she may have been correct in her assessment about what was good for the children, it certainly seems that a maternal instinct was lacking.  Perhaps that lack of natural maternal instinct is a factor in her support of baby-murder.

Here's a succinct account of all the known lies.

When confronted with these details, she admitted that her "language should have been tighter."  Tighter??  How about "honest"?  Since she's now been proven to be a brazen liar regarding her own history, can any reasonable Texan deem her honest enough to assume reins of power in Texas?  I should hope not!

Very Good Reason To Say #no2cchd This Weekend

If you are having difficulty selecting one of the various ills of the CCHD to include on your donation refusal note, may I suggest one?  The reason's name is Ralph McCloud.  He is the current director of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  He held that position when he was campaign treasurer for Texas' Wendy Davis, aka "Abortion Barbie".  Although he was closely associated with her during their several years together in Texas politics - and took a prominent role in her campaign against a pro-life incumbent - he claims not to have known anything of her pro-abortion proclivities.  Either the man is 1) lying through his teeth, or 2) is so utterly oblivious to his surroundings that he has no business occupying a position of responsibility at the CCHD.

He also sits on the board of Interfaith Worker Justice.  Isn't it odd how his bio there is completely scrubbed of any mention of Wendy Davis?  They needn't have bothered.  This group was founded by a number of community organizers, including Alinskyian disciple Msgr Jack Egan (founder of the CCHD) and Bishop Howard Hubbard of Albany.  Bishop Hubbard also sits on the IWJ board.  For a run-down on the mess he made in Albany, check this out.

What sane person would trust their donation dollars to McCloud?

CCHD Head Campaigned For Pro-Abortion Political Candidate

That's right.  Creative Minority Report tells us that during the 2008 election cycle, Ralph McCloud, while working in his capacity as CCHD director, worked as campaign treasurer for Texan Wendy Davis.  The public record is here.  Ms Davis was endorsed by Planned Parenthood.  Unfortunately, Davis defeated her pro-life opponent.  Therefore we can conclude that Ralph McCloud worked directly against a candidate who would have helped unborn children and worked for someone who would facilitate their murder.

That campaign itself ran afoul of some ethics guidelines.  Planned Parenthood of North Texas was fined several thousand dollars for not reporting just how much money they gave to Davis' campaign.  Please study the CMR post carefully.

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development touts itself as an organization that works to empower the disenfranchised.  McCloud has made clear the lie that is the CCHD motto.

Here's a very interesting, and telling aside.  As you read the comments, note the one about the USCCB logo encompassing the logo for gnosticism.  I went to the wikipedia site, and sure enough, the resemblance between the two logos is quite uncanny.  That is not an accident!

One more time - let's scrap the CCHD and the entire USCCB!  Get the filthy rot out of the Church!

ALL On Social Justice Corruption - And News Of A Special Broadcast Tomorrow

Michael Hichborn of American Life League delves into the Wendy Davis / Ralph McCloud relationship and into some of the unsavory aspects of Catholic Charities as well in the ALL Report below.

Tomorrow evening, July 31, starting at 8:00pm edt, Michael Voris of ChurchMilitant.TV will host Michael Hichborn and Steve Phalen of Human Life International.  HLI is the parent organization of the Population Research Institute that exposed Catholic Relief Service's direct participation in abortifacient distribution.  It is two hours long, but in light of the CCHD collections that will soon occur, this seems to be well worth the time investment.  At 8pm tomorrow, click here to be linked to the show.

Two notes before the video:

  1. The document to which Hichborn alludes can be found here.
  2. Archdiocese of Washington residents!!  The CCHD collection will occur the weekend of Aug 10-11.  Your help is needed to spread word of a boycott.  Please go here asap to lend your hand.  Together let's say #no2cchd!

Texas' Abortion Restrictions - Are Back!

A few days ago a Federal court judge blocked most of the abortion regulations in Texas (the ones that Wendy Davis and gang tried to railroad).  Today Operation Rescue announced that the Federal Fifth Circuit Court reversed that judge's ruling and most of the provisions are restored.

Among the provisions are that doctors doing abortions must have privileges in nearby hospitals.  Since approximately 1/3 of Texas' abortionists have no such privileges, they must cease committing abortions.  Naturally Texas abortionists and cronies are having snits about not being able to murder as many babies as they had in the past.

If Maryland had such a law, Leroy Carhart would not be murdering babies here.  And Jennifer Morbelli might still be alive.

Refreshing Change At The USCCB?

As I mentioned before, John Carr is leaving his post as Director of the Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development at the USCCB.  As I wrote before, Michelle Boorstein thinks we're worried.  I suspect she's the one who's beside herself at this time.  A few days ago it was announced that Carr's replacement will be Jonathan J. Reyes.  He's a former director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver, who made plain his beliefs that evangelism and Christian charity are inseparable.  Moreover, he's a former vice-president of Christendom College, a traditional Catholic college that has yet to accept one penny of government funding.

Much of the Catholic blogosphere is overjoyed by this appointment.  I'm happy, but my optimism is guarded.  Folks, I just don't trust these nameless bureaucrats at the USCCB.  If they manage to hog-tie Reyes, he won't be their first victim.  Moreover, bear in mind that after January, John Carr will be setting up shop at Catholic University.  Those unfamiliar with the layout of Washington DC probably don't realize that the USCCB offices and Catholic University are within easy walking distance of each other.  Carr could still make his influence felt; the impact of a 25-year tenure doesn't just vanish overnight.

So pardon me for sounding cynical, but I'm not prepared to break out the bubbly just yet.  However,I believe the optimism generated by Reyes' appointment will be justified if:

  • Ralph McCloud, current national director of CCHD (and former campaign treasurer for pro-abort Texan Wendy Davis), is fired and replaced with someone with traditional credentials similar to Reyes's
  • Serious, immediate and palpable reforms are made to the CCHD grant-awarding processes - with transparency
  • Reyes dismantles that Catholic Climate Covenant boondoggle
  • Reyes expels Just Faith from the social concerns offices of all levels of Catholic ecclesiastical structures
  • The mishmosh known as Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship is replaced by a clear, unambiguous document that clearly lays out the necessity of voting for pro-life, pro-traditional-marriage candidates and the sinfulness of voting for a "pro-choice" candidate.
This list of needed reforms is by no means exhaustive.  I'll be happy if he can make steady progress on these.  Who knows?  Maybe I can cease calling for the abolition of the USCCB!

Join The #Cookiecott

The Girl Scouts are NOT the helpful organization that they were several decades ago.  At that time they began espousing and promoting feminist and progressive causes, going so far as to officially approve of child-slaughter.  Recently they held Wendy Davis and Kathleen Sebelius as honorable for their "accomplishments".  Read this flyer from cookiecott.com to learn more of the poison that they pour into the mind of young girls in their charge.  (Note: The flyer won't open if you're using the Chrome browser; use Explorer or Firefox instead.)

Soon little Girl Scouts will be selling their cookies outside of grocery stores, etc.  While it will be difficult to pass them by, realize that the bulk of the proceeds will go the national office so that they can promote more brain rot with which to corrupt their minds and morals.  I never appreciated that these sales occurred during Lent, but I digress.

Many pro-life groups are calling for a boycott of the Girl Scouts, owing to the danger that they now pose for young girls.  Please see http://cookiecott.com/ for more details.  In tweets and reposts, use hashtag #cookiecott.

Head Of Catholic News Service Betrays His Faith And Fellow Catholics

It was almost a year ago when Lepanto Institute uncovered the scandal of the Catholic Relief Services harboring a sodomite within the ranks of their officials.  Since then he resigned from CRS.  We pray that he also quit his mortally sinful lifestyle.

Now the same Lepanto Institute has discovered that Tony Spence, Director of the Catholic News Service, has been shilling for the gay agenda on his twitter page.  He concurrently is working to submarine the rights of Christians to live by their consciences without being forced to do obeisance to the demands of gay activists.  Bear in mind that the Catholic News Service is the official news organ of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  Spence has occupied that position since 2004.

On its page, Lepanto has reproduced some of the heretical tweets.  When I went to Spence's twitter page I saw that the incriminating tweets had been pulled down.  Gee!  I wonder why!

Between these two and the head of CCHD who worked for Wendy "Abortion Barbie" Davis, the progressive bishops seem to have a penchant for placing flaming dissidents within the higher positions of their organizations.  That is no accident.  They know exactly what they are doing.

Recall that Estridge did resign when the spotlight shone on him.  Let's see if we can perform a similar service in the case of Spence.  We will not make any headway in fighting the culture of death until and unless we purge the Church of all the filth and corruption within its structures.

Pope Francis Wanted A Poor Church - Regrettably He's Attaining That

Last Wednesday I wrote a piece on the satanic pig slop that oozed from the Vatican entitled "The Meeting Point".  It is immoral and a slap in the face to parents everywhere.

A few days ago, two of my colleagues at the Catholic Media Coalition, Alice Grayson and Stephanie Block, wrote their own critique of this program.  It appears on the Spero Forum site and is entitled "The Poverty That Is The Vatican's New Sexual Education Program".   I encourage its study.  It points out (among other things) that with this program the Vatican just spit in the eye several of the previous pontiffs who upheld the role of the parents and decried sex ed in classroom settings.

The article calls this "Meeting Point" thing a poverty.  The authors are spot-on correct, and I believe they've discovered a word that is very descriptive of both this pontificate and the "social justice" crowd in general.

Just recall some of Pope Francis' comments during his pontificate so far.
  • He said that the biggest problem young people face today is unemployment - not lack of teaching about Jesus and the Church, not unbridled and perverted sexuality, not a solid family life - but poverty.
  • He has characterized many terrorist acts as stemming from economic pressures, refusing to acknowledge that Islam is a murderous and barbaric ideology.
  • In the most recent "pope video", he didn't once mention the Name of Jesus, but engaged in glorification, if not idolization of sports.
  • I'm sure there are others, but these are what come immediately to mind.
Today's Gospel reading was from Luke 12:32-48.  One line in that is "where your treasure is, there also will your heart be".  Take a look at the bullet points above in light of that passage.  Does  anyone think that our Church hierarchy is focused upon saving souls from hell and helping them toward heaven?

Now consider the "social justice" crowd and their mindsets as displayed by the programs they emphasize.  Two of the biggest such culprits organizations in the US Church are Catholic Relief Services and Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  For more background information on them, you need only put their names in the search box at the top left on this blog to read many accounts (I do suggest that you look at the linked material as well).   The Lepanto Institute has done a lot of research as well; please look at their site.

Both these organizations (CRS and CCHD), under the direct control of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, disregard the central mission of the Church for ancillary matters.  Jesus Christ founded the Church to save souls from hell and to give them the means to obtain eternal salvation.  That's it.  Any other concerns such as meeting physical needs, good though they may be in and of themselves, must be subordinate to that main God-given mission - not vice versa!.  Else they inflict upon the Church a deadly spiritual poverty in their mistaken pursuit of eliminating temporal poverty.  When Judas complained to Jesus about the woman's "waste" when she anointed His feet with oil, Jesus reminded him that "the poor you'll have with you always" as He upheld the woman and her worship of Jesus.  As an aside, the Servant of God Archbishop Fulton Sheen once quipped that Judas was the "patron saint of social justice".

Judas' example is being emulated.  When CRS officials are caught with facebook pages stating "I stand with Planned Parenthood", Judas is being emulated.  When Ralph McCloud, who worked for Wendy "Abortion Barbie" Davis' reelection campaign, is still retained as CCHD's director, Judas is being emulated.  I could go on and on but don't want this post to get too long.  The point is that these outfits, while ostensibly existing to eliminate temporal poverty, are depriving souls of what they need for eternal salvation and are actually impeding their access to these graces.  In other words, they are deliberately foisting upon Catholics spiritual poverty - the kind that can starve souls to damnation.  Pope Francis said in the beginning of his pontificate, "I want a poor church".  Well, he got it alright: with his dopey plane interviews, his decimation of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, with his mockery of Catholics offering him spiritual bouquets, etc, he has helped cripple the Church's mission of saving souls.

At any rate, these beasts (CRS and CCHD) need to be starved of Catholic cash.  Many parishes in the Archdiocese of Washington had their second collections today taken on behalf of what they call "Communications and Human Development".  That's simply a disguise for the CCHD.  At least one parish, St. John Neumann in Gaithersburg, will have theirs' next weekend.  I urge them to boycott this collection.  See yesterday's post for more details.

Most dioceses will have their CCHD collections in November.  I'll be putting out boycott reminders until then.

USCCB Admits That Money Is Behind Its Kvelling About Trump's Order

Although I saw the reprint on the website of the Diocese of Green Bay Wisconsin, it is an article published by the Catholic News Service - the official media outlet for the USCCB.  Read it, paying attention to the last few paragraphs.  Their big concern is the reduced funding that the USCCB might experience, along with USCCB jobs.

Now, once again, guess who's really paying for all this resettlement?  One of those funding sources can be found staring at you from your mirror.  Your tax dollars are being diverted to the USCCB for the benefit of poorly vetted "refugees" while many of you are struggling to support your own families.

Meanwhile, some so-called "Catholic" leaders scribbled off a letter to President Trump touting the "seamless garment" nonsense as authentic Catholic teaching.  With immigration are progressive pet projects such as abolition of death penalty, climate change junk science.  Let's look at some of these organizations, shall we?

We examine the web page of Columbian Center for Advocacy and Outreach.  Immediately you can see their focus.  They address the progressive hot-button issues, while uttering not one peep about baby-murder, euthanasia, evils of homosexual conduct, protection of marriage.  Are we surprised?

Then there's Catholic Mobilizing Network.  I always find it helpful to browse an organization's board of directors to get an understanding of the mindsets of those running the group.  Immediately we see trouble in the presence of Ralph McCloud.  Not only has he presided over the diversion of Catholic dollars to anti-God organizations as long-time head of the CCHD, but he was treasurer of the campaign for Wendy "Abortion Barbie" Davis to the Texas legislature.  Put his name in the search box at the top of this blog.  One of their sponsors is the Congregation of St. Joseph.  They too are all about progressive causes, with an unhealthy smattering of new age poison thrown into the mix (see here, scroll all the way down).

Regarding some of the other organizations, just put "Catholic Climate Covenant" and "Leadership Conference of Women Religious" in that search box to see just how far they have wandered from the One True Faith.

If anyone from President Trump's administration is reading this, please be assured that the letter you received and the racket emanating from the USCCB is not rooted in the Catholic faith.  Real Catholics are delighted that President Trump is in the White House.  Mr. Gorsuch's nomination seems very promising.  We thank the president for taking action to control the immigration situation in the United States.
