Soul-Killing Tyrants On The Prowl

We seem to be having a spate of leaders, CINO leaders at that, playing the irascible tyrants and attempting to grind underfoot the people whom they are charged to serve.  Two months ago, it was Pope Francis with his Traditionis Custodes.  Even those not inclined to attend the Traditional Latin Mass - and some liberals, too - could not help but notice the sheer venom and vitriol embodied in that document.  In holding us in contempt, the pope seems to be evincing contempt for Our Lord.  Much prayer is needed.

Then two days ago, President Plugs issued his tin-horn-tyrant dictatorial screed.  He dropped all pretenses of civility as he outright threatened the livelihoods of private citizen who object to having the cells of poor murdered children injected into their own bodies.  He threatened private employers who refuse to carry out his petty dictates.  The video below is prima facie evidence of the progressives' contempt for those who would disagree with their great reset goals.

Listen for yourselves.  Then understand that in both cases, we will need to engage in civil disobedience to unjust orders.  I will elaborate at another time.  Suffice it to say for now that I don't think the timing of these two draconian attacks upon us was any coincidence; it has the smell of a coordinated strategy.

With Cardinal Gregory's Blessing, Holy Trinity Continues Its Descent Towards Judgment

Holy Trinity parish, a Jesuit-run parish just south of Georgetown University in Washington DC, announced that they "stand with our archbishop, Cardinal Wilton Gregory" and will continue to commit sacrilege against the Holy Eucharist by offering Him in Holy Communion to pro-abort Biden.  They made that perfidious announcement on their web page.

While we're on Trinity's web page, let's just take a stroll, as it were.  We see that they are in the midst of a "social justice book discussion".  The book is written by one Dean Spade.  I googled him.  Actually, it might be more correct to refer to Spade as "her".   Her claim to fame is that she is a trans-activist. Inside this wikipedia blurb is the blunt statement about "his personal experience as a trans law professor and student".  In other words, "he's" a she pretending to be "he".

The book itself is called "Mutual Aid" and seems to be just a glorified manual on conducting "community organizing" .  Why, it even comes with a "study guide" by a person or entity called "Radical in Progress".  Move over, Saul Alinsky!  Well, I've given Spade more than the attention that she deserves, save only to recommend her and others like her to Our Lord in prayer.

Not surprisingly, Trinity defiled Holy Mass by formally celebrating all manners of perversions.  They called it a "LGBTQIA+ pride Mass".  Doesn't it seem like that list of letters gets longer and longer?

Some might recall back when Biden and Obama were respectively elected Vice President and President, that Biden attended Mass there soon after that election.  Not only did he receive Holy Communion, but the priest led the congregation in giving Biden a standing ovation - during Mass!  So Jesuits seem good at ruining parishes.  Now they are running riot over the entire Church.

Please be praying your daily Rosaries.

Biden And JFK

Today's episode of the Anchor Team gives much-needed food for thought and some historical perspective on current events not only here, but throughout the world.

Open Letter To Bishop Malooly Of The Diocese Of Wilmington (DE)

Preface: Bishop Francis Malooly of the Diocese of Wilmington in Delaware is Joe Biden's bishop.  It has been his duty all along to deny Holy Communion to the wayward Joe Biden, who resides in Delaware.  To date he has refused to do so.  When news reached him about Father Morley's denial of Holy Communion to Biden when the latter attended Mass in his church, Malooly's own dereliction of duty stunk in contrast.  Accordingly, Malooly released his snit-fit in the Catholic Dialog, the official propaganda news outlet of the Wilmington diocese.  Read it for yourselves here.  Below is my open-letter response to the bishop.

OPEN LETTER TO BISHOP MALOOLY

Your Excellency, the Catholic Dialog printed a statement issued by your chancery offices, presumably with your approval if not at your request.

Bishop Malooly has consistently refrained from politicizing the Eucharist, and will continue to do so. His preference, as with most bishops, is to interact with politicians individually who disagree with significant church teachings.

Please study Canon 915 very carefully.  Its directives to ministers of Holy Communion are clear; if someone obstinately persisting in grave, manifest sin presents him/herself for Holy Communion, he/she is to be denied Holy Communion.  That denial is not an option for the minister.  It is the minister's solemn obligation to do so.  Should you persist in direct disobedience to Canon 915 under the guise of "refraining from politicizing the Eucharist", you place your own soul in grave danger, as well as the soul of the one making the sacrilegious Communion with your cooperation.

In 2008, you stated that you thought that you "would get more mileage out of a conversation" with people like Biden.  During these intervening nine years, just how much "mileage" did you get?  The answer to that question is painfully obvious: zero-zip-nada, absolutely zilch.

So why do you (and other of like mind) continue down that primrose path?  Are you simply afraid of powerful politicians like Biden?  Do you hope to curry favors from him?  Do you simply not care?  Or maybe the answer is some combination of those three factors?  I can't say and quite frankly it doesn't matter.  Whatever the reasons, you disobey not only Canon 915 but Jesus Christ Himself.

Your Excellency, obedience to Canon Law isn't "politicizing" anything.  It is your duty as shepherd of the souls of Wilmington Catholics, including Joe Biden.  For the sake of all, dispense with all pretenses and obey Canon 915.

END OF OPEN LETTER

Ladies and gentlemen, in my post regarding Father Morley, I urged you all to support him by dropping notes of thanks to him and his bishop.  Now I must ask that you offer words of correction and even rebuke to Bishop Malooly.  Last week's episode in South Carolina might not have happened if Bishop Malooly had acted when he should.  The diocesan site is here.

South Carolina Priest Obeys Canon 915

Yesterday at St Anthony Catholic Church in Florence SC (Diocese of Charleston), the pastor, Father Robert Morley, denied Holy Communion to rabid pro-abortion Joe Biden.  Father Morley told the reporters that it was his responsibility to do so - and he's quite correct.

Here is the contact information from the parish website.  Please go to it and contact Fr. Morley to support his actions.  You may rest assured that progressives of every stripe are slamming him right and left.  They are also most likely crabbing to his bishop, so please go to that site and put in a good word for Father Morley.  Bishop Robert Gugliemone appears not to have his own email so this contact page will have to do.

Please contact them and pass this post along.  You can bet your bottom dollar that progressives of all stripes are hammering on Father Morley as we speak.

Faithful Catholics, Stop Sitting On Your Hands

The video below was posted by Randall Terry, reporting on his recent confrontations with rabidly pro-abortion CINO Joe Biden.  As most know, Biden is one of quite a few pro-abortion Democrats (a redundancy) running for President.  In his video, Terry states the reasons for his protest and encourages others to do the same.

As I watched this, I couldn't help but recall our action against Mark Shriver at Mount St Mary's last month.  Of all the faithful Catholic laity that I know exist in Maryland, only nine of us showed up - me and eight young men from the American Society of Tradition, Family and Property.  Now I realize that quite a few faithful Catholics were in front of abortuaries as they usually are on Saturday mornings.  I speak not to them for they are in fact speaking against evil in other venues.  They too find their numbers to be small.

I tried to drum up support for the Mount effort but at best the responses were "well, maybe".  Those "well maybes" turned into no-shows.  Ladies and gentlemen, please understand that while prayer is necessary and crucial, it is NOT sufficient.  In fact, I daresay that if one prays for the culture of life but yet refuses to step out of his/her comfort zone to engage in street activism, political action or just speaking publicly, then his/her prayers aren't worth the spit produced in the utterances, for they value their comfort over God's will.  It is they who need repentance as much as abortion supporters.  If you are going to repent, don't just go to confession (although that's advisable) but get out of your comfort zones and do something.  The next 40 Days campaign would be an excellent start.  Now the video.

Three Insults To The Faith in One Week

This past Monday, Joe Biden, Vice President of the United States and dissident Catholic, "officiated" at the #mowwidge of two White House staff members, both of them males.  I hesitate to call them "men" for real men understand and obey the laws of nature and nature's God.  Canon lawyer Ed Peters has some reflections as to whether or not he incurred excommunication by making a mockery of true marriage.  One key point that he makes is that if the Pope or Cardinal Wuerl were to issue canonical legislation making what Biden did a canonical crime, then yes Biden could be excommunicated.

Earlier, at the DNC convention, the president of NARAL gave an account of her own abortion in order to gin up support for more baby murder.  Sister Simone Campbell, a "nuns on the bus" leader, applauded this talk.  Campbell has made no secret of her support of abortion.

Then we have some outright heresy from Father James Martin, S.J.  Currently he is editor-at-large for America magazine, the dissident rag published by the Jesuits.  During the past few days, Martin let loose with these tweets.

For him to state that Jesus could be "challenged" by the Canaanite woman is to allege that Jesus had intellectual and moral imperfections.  That is a pure slap in the face to the Divine Personhood of Jesus.  Yes, He has two natures but as a Person He is Divine, with all that it entails.  However, while Martin undoubtedly pronounced heresy, he's not the first Jesuit of recent memory to do so.  Last December, the pope opined that Jesus probably had to beg forgiveness from His parents.  Again, to ascribe sinfulness to God Himself is heresy and probably blasphemous as well.

So I've now pointed out three insults to the Faith, all occurring in a week.  The timing isn't all that these three incidents have in common.  Here's another thing that I think they'll have in common.  Those responsible for these heresies will most likely suffer no consequences for their misbehaviors.  Their superiors will look the other way and pretend that these didn't occur.

Joe Biden Preaches Morality Again!

I wrote yesterday that progressives seem to be rediscovering the importance of religion - albeit rather selectively.  That story featured Joe Biden in his quest to take self-defense from American citizens.  Today we read how that new-found religious fervor is playing out in terms of "voting rights".  According to Plugs, it's "immoral, callous" to make voting difficult.  To what "barriers" specifically does he object?  He thinks it's unfair to require voters to show identification.

He claims that by making these requirements, we're "telling someone we're going to make it difficult for you to vote."  In actuality, what we'd be saying is that "we're going to make it difficult for someone to steal your vote".  I'm sure he understands the difference because the latter doesn't bother him in the slightest - as long as they vote Democrat.  So showing some form of photo id (like one would have to show to drive or buy alcoholic beverages or - gasp! - buy a gun) is a "barrier"!  Well, in the sicko world of the progressive, it is indeed a barrier - to election fraud, that is!

On second thought, perhaps I'm being too harsh on Ole' Plugs!  After all, some of that spiritual vigor seems to be on display in his home state of Delaware.  Since the latest Planned Parenthood scandals in Wilmington, Delaware is the first state that has no surgical abortions since Roe v Wade!  No doubt the Vice President is rejoicing over this news.  Right, Joe??  Joe???  Hmmm...

Religion And Politics

When it comes to mixing religion and politics, progressives have clear-cut preferences about the mixing of these two areas of people's thinking.  We all know that they don't ever want to hear of religion or religious beliefs when abortion is being contemplated.  For instance, the Daily Beast whines about religion being part of the pro-life discussion.  Then we read a similar "letter to the editor" from the Indystar.

However, when it comes to promotion of liberal and left-wing causes, the progressives "get religion"!  Vice President Joe Biden is urging clergy of all faiths to exhort their congregations to support gun control.  Why?  Because, in his none-too-humble opinion, it's the "moral thing to do"!

Eeek!  Eeek!  Where, oh where, is the Americans United for Separation of Church and State when you need them?   What do we hear from them?  (crickets)

Palm Sunday - Cdl Dolan Disobeys Canon 915

Pro-abortion "katholyc" Joe Biden attended Palm Sunday Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral.  Cardinal Dolan was the main celebrant.  At Communion time Biden strode right up to receive - under the Cardinal's eye.  From the Vortex clip we hear that Cardinal Dolan gave Biden a "shout-out" from the altar.  I agree with Voris that the "shout-out" itself was a disgusting "kiss-up" to Biden simply because the latter is famous and well-connected.  An aside - Cardinal Dolan might do well to read Paul's letters to the first bishop named Timothy and to study closely the admonitions against favoritism.

A few weeks ago, I opined that the distribution of Communion to Biden at Pope Francis' first Mass was most likely no fault of the distributing priest as the latter probably didn't recognize Biden.  I pointed out that the real problem is "state-side" and it manifested itself at St Patrick's last Sunday.  The cardinal most certainly recognized Biden (the wrong way, given the shout-out).  He had absolutely no excuse for disobedience to Canon 915.  Then they went for coffee afterwards.  I would be pleasantly surprised to learn that the Cardinal heard Biden's confession at  that time - but it would be a surprise.  There was some chatter during the papal elections that Dolan might be a candidate; clearly God saved His Church from the disaster his election would have been.

We faithful Catholics must intercede and offer reparation - but we must also do more than that.  We cannot pray for a specific intention if we ourselves aren't prepared to be the answer to that prayer.  Are we, the laity, willing to act?  That might mean withholding donations (and letting recipients know why).  It might mean picketing or leafleting church parking lots.  It might mean directly confronting the offending minister and/or katholyc.  Are we willing to step out of our comfort zones?  Perhaps God is not calling you to that, but if He were, would you be willing to obey?

Biden And Pelosi Sacrilege - What Will WE Do About It?

The news is all over the Catholic blogosphere that pro-abortion "katholycs" Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden received Holy Communion at the inaugural Mass today.  Many are understandably outraged, but I believe that their outrage is misdirected.  They are implying that this bodes ill for Pope Francis as he should have arranged to have Holy Communion denied to the two pro-aborts.

I believe the logistics of that scenario would have made it impossible for Pelosi and Biden to have been so denied.  Most of us Americans can recognize Biden and Pelosi as they are so prominent in US politics.  We fail to take into account that the two are not "household words" for people living in other countries.  They most likely would not be recognized by most of the European "man-on-the-street" people.  There is no reason to presume that a local priest distributing Communion at that Mass would have recognized Biden and Pelosi, let alone realize that Canon 915 should be applied to them.

So let us all take some deep breaths and count to ten.  This antic pulled by Pelosi and Biden is not some ominous indication of the course of Francis' papacy.  What it is, though, is a wake-up call to us laity that we need to step up to the plate.

What do I mean by that?  The fact is that we bloggers have been raising our voices about this atrocity until we're blue in the face.  Another fact is that we are largely being ignored.  What to do about that?  I have a suggestion and it's not a new one!

Almost ten years ago, when the Rainbow Sash crowd stated their intentions to make sacrilegious Holy Communions in the Archdiocese of St Paul (MN), a group of Catholic gentlemen, led by David Pence stood - knelt, actually - in the gap.  They called themselves "Ushers of the Eucharist".  You can read about them at the link.  That group is now inactive (to the best of my knowledge) but perhaps we should take up that mantle ourselves.  Wait!  I can hear the objections!
  • "That might cause scandal!"  No, the scandal is already happening vis-a-vis the blatant sacrileges.
  • "Tension during Mass?"  Better that than flagrant mortal sins during Mass
This could take many forms, such as the kneeling in the Sashers' path that the original group did, or walking besides them and pleading with them not to imperil their own souls with yet another mortal sin.  It's a pity that we have to contemplate such measures, but the bishops' adamant refusal to obey Canon 915 (and their punishment of priests who do obey that canon law) leave us with no choice.  Perhaps they will reconsider if they see that we ourselves are willing to step out of our "comfort zones" to keep the Eucharist from sacrilege.

Note: See American Life League's Canon 915 Project for information regarding specific bishops.

If You Missed The VP Debate...

Here it is (here if you can't see embedded video).

USCCB Takes Biden To The Woodshed

And it's high time!  Among the many lies Biden spewed during last night's debate (when he wasn't grinning like a permanent resident in an insane house) was the line, "With regard to the assault on the Catholic Church, let me make it absolutely clear: No religious institution, Catholic or otherwise – including Catholic Social Services, Georgetown Hospital, Mercy, any hospital – none has to either refer contraception, none has to pay for contraception, none has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact."  Ryan at one point then asked why the Church was suing the administration.

In a press release issued today, the USCCB pretty much asked the same question.  They called his statement an "inaccurate statement of fact".  They are being diplomatic to a fault.  I'll call it as it is: a bald-faced lie.

Conduct Unbecoming The Vice President Of The United States

Can you just imagine the hoo-ha that would be resounding from the Washington Post, New York Times and other mainstream-lamebrain media outlets if this were a picture of Paul Ryan snuggling up to a woman other than his wife?

The above scene occurred yesterday during a campaign stop in Ohio.  Ladies and gentlemen, if outrage would have ensued if this were a picture of Ryan (and rightly so), how much more should have arisen from such conduct from the current Vice President of the United States?  Bill Clinton, serial womanizer that he was (still is?), at least took some measures to hide his disgraceful conduct.  He showed some shred of shame.  Biden is too much of a fool to have even that much discretion.  Is this the sort of individual who should be "one heartbeat from the presidency"?  Oh - I almost forgot!  Biden is ostensibly a Catholic - one who is old enough to recall the concept of mortal sin.  I suppose I can be forgiven for forgetting that he's Catholic, as apparently he forgot so long ago.

Notice the looks of the two men on either side of Biden.  They're disgusted, and I'd be willing to bet that they'll remember Biden's lecherous behavior on November 6th.  I hope we all do.

Obama Nixes Catholic Prayer At DNC, Will Allow Muslim Jumah

I suppose on the bright side, that Obama is allowing some prayer.  The big question is "prayer to what"?   Well, in this case it's to the false idol called "Allah".  The "prayer" in question is called Jumah.  And yes, it is an official function - to be held on Friday of course.

Another "bright spot" is that Sister Maureen Fiedler can stop hyperventilating now.  Cardinal Dolan tried to be "bipartisan" about convention prayers.  It's not the fault of His Eminence that the Messiah Most Miserable behaved like a lout.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Dolan continues to fall all over himself in trying to make nicey-nice with these pro-abortion politicians.  A few days ago he waxed lyrical/hysterical as he stated "it's a cause for celebration in the Catholic community that the two vice-presidential picks are Catholics."  Comparing the "katholycism" of Biden with the Catholicism of Ryan is like comparing night and day.  The only way, perhaps, that His Eminence can compare Biden with another Catholic is to compare Biden with himself for the sheer number of gaffes that both of these men utter.  Let's face it - that comparison was an abysmal Dolan gaffe.

Perhaps there's yet another bright spot.  Now that Catholic prayer has been jettisoned in favor of Muslim idolatry, Cardinal Dolan can use that as a reason to disinvite Obama from the Al Smith Dinner.  Let His Eminence show a bit of backbone and do the right thing in this case - disinvite the abortion-adoring Obama.

How Bishops Insert Their Feet In Their Mouths

Phil Lawler at Catholic Culture said it quite well.  On May 4th he congratulated the bishops for taking a strong stand regarding the HHS mandate.  However he rightly points out that the bishops since then have diluted their message by issuing similar statements on matters about which good Catholics can disagree, e.g., the federal budget, immigration, etc.

We know that when the bishops treat issues of intrinsic morality as just a few among a whole laundry list of "issues" that are, morally speaking, of less import, that dissident politicians can glom onto those latter issues to make themselves appear to be faithful.  Such is the case with the rabidly pro-abortion Vice President Joe Biden.  Because Rep Paul Ryan's budget proposal calls for social program cuts (along the lines of the principle of subsidiarity), many of the progressive-leaning bishops frown upon it.  Biden has decided to jump on that bandwagon, scolding Ryan for "violating Catholic social teaching".  Stop laughing!  Bishop Biden is very, very serious - don't you understand?  He says to Ryan that the budget is "contrary to the social doctrine my church teaches".   Quick!  Where's the ACLU when you need them to screech about "separation of church and state"?  Nah - I don't hear them, either!

"The social doctrine which his church teaches" states that the murder of babies is always intrinsically wrong.  No one can call himself a faithful Catholic who lends support to that evil, as Biden continues to do, to this day.  On the other hand, good Catholics can disagree as to how best to aid the poor.  The so-called "safety net" that the government offers is one of fatal entanglement.

Paul Ryan, whose voting record is pro-life, is stating his case quite plainly that his budget proposal is sound and moral.  Town Hall has a piece detailing that Ryan is not taking these insults sitting down;  he is challenging his opponents to stop measuring compassion by how much we spend. Read it and watch the video of Ryan.  If you cannot see the embedded video, click here.

Obama's Soothing Speech Today

The Messiah Most Miserable spoke today on "deficit reduction".  Notice the reaction not only of Biden, but of the woman with glasses in the top left of the screen.  And heaven only knows about the woman directly behind Biden (partially obscured by him).  Perhaps Obama's words were just a tad too soothing!  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Biden Staff Locks Reporter In Closet??

A Michelle Malkin column alerted me to this Daily Mail article.  Given the subject matter, it's no surprise that the mainstream-media liberal lemmings would remain mum about this.  So we have to learn of this through a British publication and Newsbusters.

Apparently the incident happened this past Wednesday, at a Florida fundraiser for Ben Nelson.  Joe Biden was to appear.  An Orlando Sentinel reporter, Scott Powers, was not deemed fit to mingle with the guests (who paid the pittance of $500 to attend this fufu).  I don't quite understand how the staffers got Powers to go into the closet, but once he was there, the staffers made certain he didn't leave.

Strangely, there is no outrage over this - as there would be, had Republicans pulled this feloneous stunt.  Yes, I said felony.  Last I checked, "kidnapping" and "false imprisonment" were felonies.  Not even the Orlando Sentinel seems to care; I wonder if they were paid "hush money" - or perhaps threatened.

If nothing else, this highlights the need for First Amendment rights to be enjoyed - and utilized - by all, including average bloggers like Yours Truly.

It also highlights the need to further in 2012 what was started in 2010, and to make sure that Biden is safely out of public office.
