By His Draconian Treatment Of Father Justin Wylie, Has Cardinal Dolan Shown His True Colors?

The question is rhetorical because the answer is obvious.  Other sites and blogs have been abuzz about this matter.  Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, is preparing yet another bloodbath of parish closures in the near future.  Among them is Holy Innocents Church that is a fairly vibrant parish - certainly so in comparison with other NYC parishes.  It also features Mass in the Extraordinary Form.

Father Justin Wylie, a priest of the Archdiocese of Johannesburg, South Africa was on assignment to New York City as he worked for the Holy See at the United Nations.  He was a popular priest at Holy Innocents and greatly championed the Mass in the Extraordinary Form.   On May 18th, his sermon included an exhortation for the Archdiocese of New York to send sympathetic priests to shepherd those who had devotion to the Extraordinary Form.  For that, not only were his faculties in the Archdiocese of New York revoked, but the Dolan crew saw fit to complain to the Holy See and to the Archdiocese of Johannesburg.  I suspect that if Father Wylie had been incardinated in the Archdiocese of New York, he might have found himself laicized.

Renew America, in addition to linking to Father Wylie's sermon, mentions that the Archdiocese plans to have Holy Innocents subsumed into St Francis of Assisi parish.  Notice what's on the main page of St Francis of Assisi's website; they are touting their (drums and trumpets, please!) PRE-PRIDE MASS!  It doesn't take much imagination to surmise that this is not much more than a pep rally for the Gay Pride orgy that will occur in NYC soon thereafter.  The parish has a "gay and lesbian ministry".  Odd - I cannot seem to locate their pro-life ministry!

So Cardinal Dolan thinks that Holy Innocent Church should be absorbed into that progressive hornets' nest known as St Francis of Assisi Church?  Perhaps this plan sheds some light on the question asked in this post's title.

The Vortex has weighed in on this matter.  Voris reminds all of another gay-infested NYC church, St. Francis Xavier, with the obvious approval of Cardinal Dolan.  He thinks that many don't remember the incident shown in his clip of St. Francis Xavier.  I do for I posted that video when the news of the incident broke.  Why is a healthy Church like Holy Innocents being shuttered, while heresy-infested parishes like St Francis of Assisi and St Francis Xavier allowed to remain, and in their current states?  Again, a rhetorical question.

Andrew Cuomo: Pro-Life People Are Personae Non Gratae In New York

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has publicly vented his animosity - rather, hatred - of pro-life people in New York last Friday at a press conference.  The exact quote is "Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are."

Some questions for Dandy-Andy:
  • Who or what gives you the right to determine "who New Yorkers are"?
  • Are you trying so hard to be presidential material that you believe you have to outdo Obama in sheer arrogance?  If so, you're off to a good start!  Keep making an ass of yourself, by all means!

The real questions are reserved for Cardinal Dolan:
  • Do you plan to respond to this or will your usual cowardice rule the day as you pretend this slap in the face never occurred?
  • Andrew Cuomo is your spiritual son.  Obviously your polite little relationship with him is doing his soul not one bit of good.  In fact, your stance towards him seems to be lulling him into a dangerous complacency as evidence by his arrogant dismissal of good people.  When will you stop fearing his political power and start fearing for his soul?
  • The Catholics whom the governor just insulted are also your spiritual children.  How will you help remedy this slap in their face proffered by Cuomo?
  • Will you - at long last - deny Holy Communion to Cuomo and to his live-in concubine?  This action is long overdue.  The more you demure in this regard, the greater the peril for Cuomo and the scandal for New York Catholics.
Last May, Judie Brown of American Life League penned an article called "Cardinal Dolan's Mess".  It's well worth another review, as the mess just got a lot messier.  Regrettably Cardinal Dolan shows no intention of cleaning it up as only he can.

During Pope's Visit, The Gay Agenda Is Shilled Ad Nauseum

At the papal Mass in Madison Square Garden yesterday, the individual chosen to be lector was Mo Rocca, a notorious gay media personality.  Vox Cantoris has pictures of this individual: both in his "native" element and at the Mass where he did manage to come properly dressed.  As he is a media personality Rocca's mortal sin could not have been unknown to the Mass organizers.  And who was the individual with final responsibility for the Mass?  The local bishop - Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

I've chronicled much about Dolan's many insults to the teachings of Jesus Christ, including those regarding sexuality.  Let me list a few, with links for review.
  • He claimed to hope for "delicacy" while ignoring the attacks on faithful Christians.
  • He was Grand Marshall in the most recent St Patrick's parade, even though they allowed a gay-rights group to march with them.  When Michael Voris questioned him about it at the parade, Dolan had Voris ejected from his presence.
  • He allowed St Francis of Assisi parish to host a "pre-pride mass" before the gay orgy in the streets last summer.
  • He earned the nickname "Cardinal Bravo" for that was his reaction when a college football start came out as gay.
  • He refuses to confront NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, supposedly a Catholic, over his many public sins: support of abortion, support of the gay lifestyle and his public fornication with the First Concubine of New York.
  • Several years ago, when Dolan was the main celebrant at St. Francis Xavier and the "gay ministry" was presented to him, he openly evinced approval of their gay-shilling activities.
  • Of course he joined in the deafening silence of the nation's bishops regarding Kim Davis' plight last month.
Given this rather long list above, I believe it safe to assume that Dolan knew full well of Rocca's mortally sinful lifestyle well in advance of yesterday's Mass and approved his appearance anyway.

With the above in mind, consider some of the individuals who were placed in positions of authority at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, where the pope also put in an appearance.  Thanks to the work of the Lepanto Institute, we had learned that the president of World Meeting of Families has been a regular donor to pro-abortion political candidates.  Now we have learned, again thanks to Lepanto, that Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was named Honorary Co-Chair of the World Meeting of Families.  In his political career, he has promoted abortion and "LGBT rights".  Lepanto attempted several time to contact the Archdiocese of Philadelphia but they never responded.  It is reasonable to believe that all this was done with the approval of Archbishop Chaput.   Nutter announced that he intended to use this new bully-pulpit to promote the gay agenda and even to bring it to the pope if given the opportunity.  On Saturday, when he spoke before the pope at Independence Hall, Nutter did precisely that.

I'd venture a guess that Pope Francis had no knowledge of either of these atrocities.  The responsibility for these lays with both Cardinal Dolan and Archbishop Chaput.  Given that the pope is headed for the Ordinary Synod on the Family next week, I might opine that these two episodes are more of the #maturation effort.  After all there's only one more week for that.

Gay-Enabling Prelates Must Be Resisted

Much of the media (not just Catholic outlets) have been ablaze with the news of what Pope Francis said to Juan Carlos Cruz, one of the child victims of gay-priest pedophiles in Chile.  The young man is now himself gay, but the pope said to him "God made you gay and loves you like this".  There are doubts regarding the veracity of this statement.  However, given the silence of the Vatican Press Office and other (mis)deeds committed by the pope in relation to gays (see this piece by Doug Mainwaring of LifeSiteNews), I've no reason to doubt the accuracy of Cruz's account of the conversation.

Cardinal Dolan has chimed in on the matter, going so far as to claim of the pope's affirmation of mortal sin that "Jesus could have said that".  So he compounds the pope's blasphemy with his own.  In today's Vortex, Michael Voris comments this latest nonsense from Dolan.  He speculates that Dolan may have fallen out of grace a bit with the progressives in the Vatican and that one of Dolan's aims with his statement was to brown-nose his way back into their favor.  Voris goes into a list of Dolan's dalliances with gays, but even that list isn't complete.  Below the Vortex I'll supply some more.  These make me believe that when it comes to smooching up to gays, that the Vatican bigwigs have nothing over Dolan.

In addition to what Voris said, Dolan has allowed parishes to host "pre-pride masses", approved the "coming-out" of a gay athlete on television, set not a peep in Kim Davis' defense, etc.  Now comes word (ht Joseph Sciambra) that St. Francis de Sales Church in NYC not only has a LGBT "ministry" (in other words, a pervert dating service), but that this "ministry" is led by a flamboyantly promiscuous drag queen; see the parish website.  Wanna bet that this guy will retain his position?

So much for Cardinal Dolan leading New York Catholics to hell with his dissidence.  Let's hear from some prelates who aren't afraid to speak truth to the agenda of perversion.  Two weeks ago, at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC, Cardinal Sarah stated plainly that the gay agenda is a demonic attack on the family.  Meanwhile, Bishop Athanasius Scheider gave an interview to One Peter Five.  He commented on many topics and I'd suggest you read the whole thing.  He touched upon the question of priests "blessing" gay shack-ups.  He stated that any priest who dared to do so would be committing a sin that's even greater than the one being committed by the gays being "blessed" - or more accurately cursed.  Think about that.  The priests so doing are not only lulling the perverts towards deadened consciences and eventual damnation (if they don't repent before death), but they are committing sacrilege against one of the Seven Sacraments.  They are misrepresenting the Church and Jesus Christ Himself.  These sins, by the way, are precisely what Father Guarnizo avoided six years ago.  Conversely, the sins of misrepresenting the Church are precisely what Bishop Knestout committed when he extended to Barbara Johnson that wretched apology.

Now consider this.  In Oregon, a Catholic parish is being sued for refusing to host an LGBT event in one of its facilities.  This episode occurred over three years ago but they are just now filing suit.  This is not unlike the situation in Indiana when a KofC council allowed two lesbians to hold their "wedding reception" for absolutely no charge.  Then-archbishop Joseph Tobin was in charge and did absolutely nothing to stop it.  In light of his recent advancement to Cardinal under Pope Francis, one might wonder if he actually ordered that capitulation to the lesbians.

Now some questions are before us and we need to answer them before we find these situation in our own parishes: especially if these parishes cower before perverts, threatening the sanctity of our Churches.  Are we prepared to offer resistance?  No, I don't mean merely praying the Rosary in some location away from the travesty.  I mean are we prepared to offer what could be called "civil disobedience" in order to stand with our outraged Lord?

Catholics Of Archdiocese Of Baltimore - Is This Scenario Playing Out In Your Parishes?

I have written about Cardinal Dolan and his chicaneries within the Archdiocese of New York many times.  Church Militant has been at the forefront of exposing the slime and corruption within that archdiocese.  In particular, they helped shed the light on the sex-and-embezzlement case regarding Father Peter Miqueli.  This case, combined with the stonewalling by Dolan et al that parishioners received as they attempted to seek redress in accordance with canon law protocols, has caused these parishioners to resort to legal action.  I hope they prevail in court.

But it seems that the Miqueli situation is simply one tip of the iceberg.  Again, Church Militant has attempted to get clarification from the New York chancery.  Of course the chancery has engaged in their usual stonewalling.  Meanwhile an employee of the Archdiocese of New York agreed to an interview with Voris under cover of anonymity.  I present the video below.  Because the voice distortion may make some of "Bob's" remarks difficult to understand, I now link to the transcript.

As you listen to "Bob", you'll hear him remark that the New York scenario is most likely being repeated all over the country, if not the world.  With that, I ask you to review the findings regarding the de facto gay occupation that exists within the parish of St. Matthew's in Baltimore (Loch Raven Boulevard).  I have reason to suspect that indeed a very similar, if not identical situation exists within the Archdiocese of Baltimore, as evinced within the Archdiocese of New York.  I know for a fact that the revelations of the debauchery in St. Matthew's have ruffled many feathers, causing certain individuals to lash out.  At this time I am not at liberty to divulge details.

Faithful Catholics of the Archdiocese of Baltimore (and elsewhere), please keep your eyes and ears open.  There is a saying that many of us see displayed over interstates from time to time: "If you see something, say something."  Please do so.  If you get no satisfaction from official church channels, please start organizing among yourselves and take some actions, such as organized collection boycotts.  You are not helpless, especially if you stick together.  Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said that it will be up to the laity to save the Church.  That time is most likely now.

New York - Former Mayor Ed Koch Rebukes the Times' Anti-Catholic Bigotry

Former New York Mayor Ed Koch posted an article in the online edition of the Jerusalem Post defending the Holy Father and the Catholic Church against the bigotry-motivated attacks of the New York Times.  He hits the nail on the head quite a few times.  One of the key points that he spells out clearly is the motivation behind these unabashed attacks: "The reason, I believe, for the constant assaults is that there are many in the media, and some Catholics as well as many in the public, who object to and are incensed by positions the Church holds, including opposition to all abortions, opposition to gay sex and same-sex marriage, retention of celibacy rules for priests, exclusion of women from the clergy, opposition to birth control measures involving condoms and prescription drugs and opposition to civil divorce. My good friend, John Cardinal O'Connor, once said, "The Church is not a salad bar, from which to pick and choose what pleases you." The Church has the right to demand fulfillment of all of its religious obligations by its parishioners, and indeed a right to espouse its beliefs generally."  He mentioned his own disagreement with Church beliefs, but did acknowledge the Church's right to its tenets.

He then directly rebuked the Times' duplicity: "Of course, the media should report to the public any new facts bearing upon the issue of child molestation, but its objectivity and credibility are damaged when the New York Times declines to publish an op-ed offered by New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan on the issue of anti-Catholicism and offers instead to publish a letter to the editor, which is much shorter and less prominent than an op-ed."

He then acknowledged his belief that the Church is a "force for good".  I thank the former mayor for coming to the defense of the Church (more than some Catholics have done).  I pray that he be fortified against the rancor that his article undoubtedly inspired.  More importantly, I pray that the glimmer of light that he has obviously received increase and that he himself will find his way to Christ and the Church.

A History Of Bishops Bending Over For The Gays

In this Vortex, Michael Voris rightly excoriates Cardinals Cupich, O'Malley, Wuerl, J Tobin, Bishop Bootkoski for their parts in "running interference" for their champion pervert, McCarrick.  The one thing I'll add at this time is more information on these prelates who disgrace their miters.

Cardinal Dolan is Archbishop of New York.  I've written tons on him; you might recall that he marched at the head of the St Patrick's Day Parade after it admitted gays to profane the name of St. Patrick.  Jay Malsky is a flaming gay and in charge of the "gay straight katholyc alliance" at St. Francis de Sales Church in New York City.  He performs in drag and actually put on his wig in front of the Tabernacle, thus committing sacrilege.  Will he be thrown out?  Don't hold your breath.  But Father Justin Wylie was when he dared to petition for priests to offer the Traditional Latin Mass.

New York is not the only diocese to have a pervert at the helm of one of its "gay ministries".  Chicago, under Cardinal Cupich, has one too.  He is at St. Patrick's Church.  Within the next two months, he and his accomplice in sodomy will mock and profane the Sacrament of Matrimony.  At least the debacle is not happening in a Catholic church, nor is the reception.  Again, how long will he be allowed to use the Church to justify his mortal sin?

If Cupich hasn't been faced with sacrilege against matrimony yet, Cardinal Tobin did when he was archbishop of Madison, Indiana.  A Knight of Columbus council rented its hall to two lesbians for their so-called "wedding reception".  We petitioned Tobin to no avail.  At first I thought he merely caved to the lesbians.  Now I wonder if the Council caved to the lesbians under the orders of Tobin.

And then there's my home diocese of Washington.  The maltreatment of Father Marcel Guarnizo, during Lent of 2012, happened in my home parish.  That happened with full knowledge, if not initiative, of Cardinal Wuerl.  Bishop Knestout behaved as the good little hatchet man, and was eventually rewarded by being appointed Bishop of Richmond.

Bishop Bootkoski is another who tossed a faithful Catholic under the bus.  Three years ago, a Catholic high school teacher posted a tweet in support of the Church's marriage teachings.  For her fidelity she was fired.  Fortunately, we caused enough uproar to bring about her reinstatement but she should never have been put through that angst in the first place.

I'm sure you see the common theme.  In each case, the prelate in question was doing the bidding of the gay cartel.  They even stabbed faithful Catholics in the back for so doing.  Enough is enough.  Bishop McCarrick has turned in his red hat.  Many more red and purple hats (and maybe a white one) likewise need to be surrendered.  The prelates discussed at the top should lead that foray.

A Tale Of Two Dolans

This past Wednesday Cardinal Dolan opened his mouth and inserted both feet via a hit piece that he penned in the New York Daily News that targeted Donald Trump.  Trump made it clear that he doesn't favor the de facto "open borders" policy of the Obama cartel (you know, Dolan's accomplice in guffaws at the Al Smith Dinner just before the election).  By the way - as you read the piece please also read the comments; most of the commenters see through Dolan's chicanery.

Like most progressives, Dolan conveniently obscures the fact that most common-sense people simply oppose the influx of ILLEGAL  immigrants (notice the emphasis?), not all immigration.  He then calls Trump a "nativist" and invokes the specters of the Know-Nothings and the Ku Klux Klan.  For now, we won't discuss the roots that these two entities have in the Democratic party.

This is not the first time that Dolan has shed his overly-jolly image.  He can be quite vicious when he believes it will suit his progressive proclivities.  Lest anyone forget how he threw Father Justin Wylie under the bus, please refresh your memories here.  Let us also recall how Cardinal Dolan had Michael Voris ejected from his presence at the same parade where he marched with gays in New York.  Cardinal Cheeshead can play the cut-throat well.

But sometimes the "cheesehead" persona will get the job done, it seems Dolan would think.  In addition to the Al Smith Dinner, there is the "Meet The Press" interview that he did in March 2014 when Michael Sam came out as gay.  What did a Prince of the Church have to say about the celebration of mortal sin, the kind that can damn a soul to hell?  "Good for him.  I would have no sense of judgment on him. God bless ya. I don’t think, look, the same Bible that tells us, that teaches us, well about the virtues of chastity and the virtue of fidelity and marriage also tells us not to judge people. So I would say, ‘Bravo.’"

So he has no "sense of judgment" regarding someone wallowing in intrinsic moral depravity and endangering his immortal soul.  However, when someone voices an opinion that differs from him regarding some pet progressive cause - about which good people can disagree - well, he breaks out the long knives with all alacrity, decisiveness and I daresay vindictiveness.  In a Mic'd Up last year, both Michael Voris and Judie Brown took the cardinal to task for this very two-faced defense of warped priorities on his part.

I called this post "tale of two Dolans".  In reality, they are the same; only the facade changes to further the progressive agenda.

Other Progressive Bishops (Namely, Archdiocese of Washington) Covering For Dolan?

Msgr Charles Pope of the Archdiocese of Washington, in the wake of Cardinal Dolan's disgusting kiss-up to gay activists, posted the article below on his blog.  I think he's spot-on correct.

However, Msgr Pope's blog is hosted on a server owned by the Archdiocese of Washington.  Lo and behold, the original link no longer works; try it!  http://blog.adw.org/2014/09/time-to-end-the-st-patricks-parade-and-the-al-smith-dinners/

Whoopsie!  Whaddya think of that?  Wanna bet that the "good ole boy" network of progressive bishops has mobilized to protect one of their own?  Cardinals Wuerl and McCarrick are of like mind as is Cardinal Dolan.  Such are the hazards of relying on other entities for your message medium.  So Msgr Pope's post was pulled.  I pray that's the only repercussion that he suffers.

Now the article..

It’s time to end New York’s St. Pat’s Parade and the Al Smith Dinner

The time for happy-clappy, lighthearted engagement of our culture may be nearing an end. Sometimes it takes a while to understand that what used to work no longer works. Let me get more specific.
Decades ago the “Al Smith Dinner” was a time for Republicans and Democrats to bury the hatchet (even if only temporarily) and come together to raise money for the poor and to emphasize what unites us rather than what divides us. But in the old days the death of 50 million infants was not what divided us. We were divided about lesser things such as how much of the budget should go to defense and how much to social spending. Reasonable men might differ over that.
But now we are being asked to raise toasts and to enjoy a night of frivolity with those who think it is acceptable to abort children by the millions each year, with those who think anal sex is to be celebrated as an expression of love and that LGBTQIA… (I=intersexual, A= Asexual)  is actually a form of sanity to which we should tip our hat, and with those who stand four-square against us over religious liberty.
Now the St. Patrick’s Parade is becoming of parade of disorder, chaos, and fake unity. Let’s be honest: St. Patrick’s Day nationally has become a disgraceful display of drunkenness and foolishness in the middle of Lent that more often embarrasses the memory of Patrick than honors it.
In New York City in particular, the “parade” is devolving into a farcical and hateful ridicule of the faith that St. Patrick preached.

It’s time to cancel the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Al Smith Dinner and all the other “Catholic” traditions that have been hijacked by the world. Better for Catholics to enter their churches and get down on their knees on St. Patrick’s Day to pray in reparation for the foolishness, and to pray for this confused world to return to its senses. Let’s do adoration and pray the rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet unceasingly for this poor old world.
But don’t go to the parade; stay away from the Al Smith Dinner and all that “old school” stuff that hangs on in a darkened world. And as for St Patrick’s Day, it’s time to stop wearin’ the green and instead take up the purple of Lent and mean it. Enough of the celebration of stupidity, frivolity, and drunkenness that St Paddy’s day has become. We need penance now, not foolishness. We don’t need parades and dinner with people who scoff at our teachings, insist we compromise, use us for publicity, and make money off of us. We’re being played for (and are?) fools.
End the St Patrick’s parade. End the Al Smith Dinner and all other such compromised events. Enough now, back to Church! Wear the purple of Lent and if there is going to be a procession, let it be Eucharistic and penitential for the sins of this age.
For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world!
How say you?

Faithful NY Catholics Are Suing Cardinal Dolan

I've posted about Cardinal Dolan many times now, but this latest scandal puts all the others in a new light.  Many of his outrages involve kowtowing to the gay agenda:
  • Being a grand marshal in a gay-infested St Patrick's Day parade
  • Applauding gay facilitators during a Church service
  • Congratulating a sports figure for "coming out" during a televised interview
Now a group of faithful Catholics are suing Dolan and the Archdiocese of New York for allowing millions of Church dollars to be embezzled for the financing of a gay priest's acts of perversion.  Voris suggests, and it's highly likely, that this priest was able to get away with his crimes for so long precisely because he has dirt on Dolan.  Well, light scares the cockroaches so let's pray that the truth come out, no matter how ugly.  Only then is there a ghost of a chance at righting some wrongs.  Now the Vortex:

Pervert Enablers Within The US Catholic Hierarchy

The Diocese of Jefferson City, MO is now allowing students who consider themselves "transgender" and those from "same-sex families" to enroll in the schools.  Bishop John Gaydos has cited Amoralis Lamentia as inspiration for the change.  This LifeSiteNews article links to the new policy, calling the sodomite situations "non-traditional families".  Of course they aren't true families, but occasions of mortal sin and spiritual destruction of the children.

Read over that policy.  Nowhere is there an acknowledgement of the inherent sinfulness of homosexual conduct, fornication, adultery.  On page 10 (reads as page 8) of the policy regarding "transgendered" kids, the policy states in section c-ii, "use of hormone therapies and/or gender reassignment surgery is typically not condoned at this developmental level".  Pray tell, what the hell does that mean???  Does it mean that there are other "developmental levels" when chemical and/or surgical mutilations are condoned by this diocese???  Nowhere in this policy is there any mention of proclaiming God's truth to these confused youngsters or to their errant parents.

The diocese had a meeting in which they trotted out this policy.  One good priest was having none of it.  This piece links to the dialogue.  I disagree with the priest in his belief that Pope Francis opposes this policy outright, but he is spot on with everything else.

Far from opposing the furtherance of perversion in the Church, the pope, by various appointments, makes no secret of his aim to normalize it within the Church.  The latest manifestation occurred just a few days ago when he appointed the gay-enabling Father John Dolan to be an auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of San Diego.  Recall that this diocese is already cursed with Bishop Robert McElroy, about whom I've written in the past.  While he's just absolutely delighted about Dolan's elevation, he has openly persecuted faithful priests who've had the temerity to write truthfully about Catholic morality, including the fact that it's sinful to vote for pro-abortion candidates.

Within the Archdiocese of New York (headed by Cardinal Dolan) the Church of the Blessed Sacrament is hosting a gay orgy under the auspices of a fund-raiser.  Read the details from Joseph Sciambra's site.  Here again we see the Commands of Jesus Christ being treated as a pile of dung.  Please let's not pretend that Cardinal Dolan doesn't know of this.  Of course he does.  At best, he doesn't care; I hope he doesn't openly applaud them..oh wait!  He applauded the gay group at St Francis Xavier a few years back, didn't he?

But let me end this post on a happy note.  We in the Archdiocese of Washington know of Father Peter Daly, pastor of St. John Vianny of Prince Frederick MD.  He has openly condoned homosexual conduct, going so far as to offer faulty counsel to gays who have come to him.  In the May 25 issue of the Catholic Standard, we see that he is retiring and will have no further pastoral authority.  His retirement will be effective July 12, 2017.  Let us pray that he will have no further contact with confused individuals and that he will use his time in retirement to seek God's forgiveness for his dissidence.

Cardinal Dolan's Jolly Demeanor - Thin Veneer For Thuggish Behavior

Below is a video depicting how Michael Voris and his cameraman were manhandled by thugs whom we can only presume to be on the payroll of the Archdiocese of New York.  Surprised?  Don't be!  Last June I posted of his swift and draconian treatment of Father Justin Wylie who was offering Mass in the Extraordinary Form at Church of the Holy Innocents.  He publicly called upon Cardinal Dolan to send priests to offer Mass in the Extraordinary Form.  That was enough for Dolan to have Father Wylie whisked away to South Africa while he lodged complaints to the Holy See and the Archdiocese of Johannesburg.

So Cardinal Dolan pranced with gays while the latter were celebrating their mortal sins in a parade ostensibly to honor a Catholic saint.  This was not the only dismal "first" for this parade.  Another "first" involved the exclusion of a pro-life group.  LifeNews informs us that the Children First Foundation had their parade application rejected.  LifeSiteNews adds the detail that the parade organizers rejected the pro-life group so as not to take attention away from the gays!  So there was a gay groups with its banners, but not one pro-life group!  Who are the sugar-daddies that are pulling Dolan's puppet strings?

The Children First Foundation wasn't completely silenced.  One Catholic Church, near the parade route (if not on it), allowed them to fly their banner in front of their historic church.  What was the name of that church?  Hint - look at the first paragraph!  Yes - Holy Innocents!  Here's praying that they don't suffer repercussions from the local chancery!

I now post the video.  In it Voris states there will be ones to follow.  I'll post as they become available.

Pope Francis Owns The Gay Problem In The Church

Of course he didn't start it, for flaming gays were in high places of Church power long before Cardinal Bergoglio ascended the papal throne.  However, he has not so much failed to make any headway with the problem as much as he has acted to further ensconce them within positions of Church influence.  Two weeks ago his latest pro-sodomy dissidence was spoken to Juan Carlos Cruz when the pope told Cruz "God made you that way.."

This blog and others have listed the myriad ways that the pope has given green lights to gays and their enablers.  Two of the most egregious are:
Two weeks ago, Michael Voris, in his Vortex, excoriated all this gay-pandering.  Please listen very closely to it.  In it, he acknowledges the pope's horrible error and admits no doubt that the blasphemy escaped the pope's lips.  Voris went so far as to offer a rebuke to both the Cardinal and the Pope.  He was right to do so.

In yesterday's Vortex, though, he backpeddled a bit when he attempted to cast doubt as to whether or not the pope uttered the blasphemy.
  • He states that "no member of the hierarchy has said anything about it", with "it" being the pope's words as related by Cruz.  Well, doesn't the "hierarchy" include the pope?  And why haven't they cleared any misunderstanding?  Such would be their duty, to mitigate any confusion to the faithful.
  • He points out that Father James Martin has become "the waterboy for the advancing of the gay agenda".  True enough; I already mentioned his Vatican appointment above, and there's more that will be detailed in the following paragraphs.
I linked to the article as opposed to merely posting the video for I think the comments below are most instructive for the way they articulate the pope's responsibility for this debacle.  I myself would have commented; however, for similar comments that I made in previous articles, I've been banned from commenting on the CM website.  Voris tried to chide them saying that they're "going back to Catholic cool to slam the pope".  I commend the others for their polite, firm, and educated responses to that childishness.  Should those comments be pulled, I've saved screenshots.

As promised, I'll give the latest news regarding Father Martin, courtesy of Rorate Caeli.  The World Meeting of Families will be held in Dublin, Ireland on August 21-24, 2018.  Guess who's been invited to speak?  Yes, and he claims that the invitation was extended by both the Archdiocese of Dublin and the Vatican.  I've no reason to doubt his account.  News of this came after the release of yesterday's vortex.  This is just the latest of the pope's smooch-ups to gays; there will be more soon enough, I'm sure.

I've rehearsed these old problems because tomorrow Church Militant will host a webinar called "Catholic and Gay".  It will ostensibly instruct the faithful Catholic in how to combat the gay infestation in the Church.  I've no doubt that many good points and suggestions will be made in that regard.  However, if Church Militant continues to side-step the proverbial "elephant in the living room" regarding the pope's own fostering of gays within the Church, the information they present will be woefully incomplete.  The same goes for those who still refuse to acknowledge the objective harm caused by this pope; their efforts to improve the church will be stymied.  It's time for them - including Church Militant - to admit the truth so it can be addressed.

Some VERY Different Bishops

I relate below some recent incidents regarding three US bishops: one disgraceful and the other two causes for rejoicing.  I'll start with the bad news first.

Sit down, please.  Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York praised a college football star for coming out as gay.  You read that correctly.  Michael Sam of the University of Missouri football team announced he was gay.  This is Cardinal Dolan's response: "Good for him.  I would have no sense of judgment on him. God bless ya. I don't think, look, the same Bible that tells us, that teaches us well about the virtues of chastity and the virtue of fidelity and marriage also tells us not to judge people. So I would say, 'Bravo.'"

We do understand that Cdl Dolan is congratulating the young man for celebrating his mortal sin?  He claims to have "no sense of judgment".  Yes he does - only the "good for him" is a positive judgment on this young man's road to eternal perdition.  He will bear responsibility for Sam's soul if he doesn't remember he's a bishop.  But enough of him.

Bishop Michael Barber of the Diocese of Oakland (CA) dismissed two dissident priests from Newman Hall.  One of them is openly gay.  This diocese, being in California, is heavily infested with homophiles.  They are in a snit.  Let's pray and thank the good bishop for beginning the purging process in his newly assigned diocese.

A little north of that in the Archdiocese of Portland, Archbishop Alexander Sample announced that his archdiocese would join the coalition to oppose same-sex "marriage".  There is a ballot initiative afoot to that effect.  You will notice that the article to which I linked has a decidedly progressive slant.  Again, thanks and prayers are in order.  Recall that four years ago, when Archbishop Sample was Bishop of Marquette, he asked wildly-dissident Bishop Thomas Gumbleton not to speak in his diocese.  Sample cited Gumbleton's erroneous positions on homosexuality and women's "ordination" as reasons.

Blasphemy And Sacrilege At St Patrick's Cathedral - How Much Did The Archdiocese Know Beforehand?

On Thursday, February 15, a funeral liturgy was held for Cecilia Gentili, a "transgender" activist who did his dirty work in New York.  The liturgy was held at St Patrick's Cathedral.  All manners of flamers and perverts were in attendance.  Some did readings, strutting and sashaying to the pulpit in full drag-queen regalia.  A complete video of the blasphemy is below, with more commentary beneath that.  Be warned.  The blasphemies and sacrileges are frequent and blatant.  More distressing than that, though, is the complete acquiescence of the priest and other cathedral personne.

To be clear, Gentili was a male pretending to be a woman.  He died at the age of 52, but no cause of death was disclosed to the public.  He was also an atheist.  Knowing that, we can ask why Gentili's network wanted a funeral service at a prominent Catholic cathedral.  The answer is obvious - to poke a finger in the eyes of faithful Catholics.  They did so, with the apparent connivance of the local hierarchy.  Allegedly, Father Dougherty, the celebrant at the blasphemy, did not know Gentili was male.  However, he could not have been oblivious to the antics of the perverts throughout the debacle.  Yet he allowed it to continue.  According to LifeSiteNews, he even laughed at their various chants of "sancta Cecilia" and such.  Originally, a funeral Mass was planned, but a clergyman told Dougherty it could not be a Mass, just a service.  At least someone had the good sense not to allow Holy Communion to be administered to those many people in mortal sin.

While the personnel of St Patrick's cathedral put forth a public statement (of sorts), the Archdiocese of New York (particularly Cardinal Dolan) seems to be washing their hands of the mess.  I understand a Mass of Reparation was subsequently offered, but it was done privately and quietly.  That is just plain wrong.  The blasphemies and sacrileges were public in nature.  Thus, remedial actions need to be public.  The LifeSiteNews piece has a petition to have the Cathedral exorcized.

Dolan himself has let his pro-gay sympathies be manifest on more than one occasion.  This past post of mine gives quite a litany of those events.  Why else is he "running interference" for the perverts?  Can anyone imagine the late John Cardinal O'Conner sitting still for this insult to the Faith?

In the LifeSiteNews piece, you'll see a tweet from Maike that Fidicia Supplicans be halted in light of this travesty.  Additionally, Rorate Caeli makes the case for halting Traditionis Custodes.

Pray your Rosaries each day for our Church.  Also pray for the soul of Cecilia Gentili, that he found the grace of final repentance.  He too was ill-served this past Thursday.

Have The Knights Of Columbus Lost Their Minds?

The leadership of the Knights of Columbus seem to have lost any moral sense whatsoever.  Two months ago I alerted one and all to the scandal of an Indiana council renting out their ballroom to lesbians for their so-called "wedding reception".   While I provided contact information for all of you to use in voicing your opposition to this travesty, the debacle is still scheduled to occur next month to the best of my knowledge.

Many of you are aware that the next St Patrick's Day parade in New York City will feature a gay group - first time ever that a St Patrick's Day parade will celebrate the mortal sin of sodomy.  To add even more shame to this event, Cardinal Timothy Dolan will be Grand Marshall for this orgy-parade.

Following Dolan's scandalous example, organizers of Boston's St Patrick's Day parade decided that they too would allow a gay group to march in it. One Catholic school, Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Stillwater, MA, upon learning of the gay group's inclusion in the parade, pulled out of the parade.  Although they've participated for 25 years, they rightly understand the scandal to which their students would be exposes.  I for one commend this school administration for their stance.  Happily the school children themselves understand the reason that they will not be in the parade.

However, the Massachusetts State Council of the Knights of Columbus, who never marched in the parade before, has announced that it will join the parade along with the gay group.  As you read this coverage by the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts, you might understand their theory that they are joining this year to give the appearance that this parade remains respectable when it no longer is.  It's quite remarkable that school children have more moral sense than does an organization of ostensibly Catholic men.  The link above has contact information for your use in lodging a protest.

Today I learned of yet another scandal involving the Knights and St Patrick's Day parades.  This one originates from Norfolk VA.  From my friend at Les Femmes we read that Council 3548 runs a St. Patrick's Day parade and this one is scheduled for March 14th.  The person whom they selected to be Grand Marshall is rabid pro-abort Terry McAuliffe.  Read the Les Femmes article for a full history of the debacle and the courageous stance taken by the local pastor.  Here is a link to that local St Patrick's day parade.  In addition to the contact info on that page, here is contact information for local KofC officials for your use in lodging protests.

In these three scenarios, it would appear that decisions were made by relatively few Knights who occupy leadership roles.  Many of the "rank and file" probably do not approve - and may well be unaware - of these matters.  We are grateful for them and now ask them to take action to insist that their brother Knights act in a manner worthy of Father McGiveney and the Church.

Talking Tough On Catholics For Choice

I understand that both Bishop DiLorenzo of Richmond and Cardinal Dolan of New York are rebuking "Catholics for Choice" and other prominent CINO's such as Tim Kaine for publicly shilling for abortion.  Well, that's very good, but the effort will be "all bark and no bite" unless some action goes along with it.  For starters, Bishop DiLorenzo would be well-advised to order his priests to deny Holy Communion to Kaine until he publicly repents (Kaine resides in the Diocese of Richmond) while the Cardinal needs to stop brown-nosing up to the Cuomos and needs to expunge his diocese of the gay network that has been too long ensconced in New York.

What are the odds of these measures being taken?

Courageous Priest Evicts Gay Group From His Parish

As I listened to the reading of the Passion this past Palm Sunday, I couldn't help but think that the examples of Judas and Barabbas are to be found too often in our Churches and hierarchy today.  We have the revolting public betrayal of Our Lord being done by Cardinal Dolan at the St Patrick's Day parade in New York a few days ago; by his affirmation of gays in their depravity, he is depriving them of the much-needed message of repentance to save their souls.   Similarly, in nearby Baltimore we have the ongoing scandal at St. Matthew's, seemingly being aided and abetted by Auxiliary Bishop Denis Madden.  Again, many souls are marching to their eternal damnation as their priests and bishops applaud them on their deadly march.

After seeing these scandals, I was delighted to hear of a priest who is actually caring for his flock.  Father Gordon Mann, pastor of St. Mary's parish in Evansville Indiana, told a gay group that they could no longer use parish facilities for their meetings.  The group calls themselves "Rainbow Catholics in Christ".  Like their LEAD counterparts in Baltimore, they shill for the normalization of gay perversions.  Father Mann did say they could remain IF they followed the models set forth by Courage/Encourage.  Sadly, the RCC folks want nothing of true grace and spiritual help.

As I read another account, it seems that the Diocese of Evansville is not entirely supportive of Father Mann's move to uphold the Faith in his parish.  I hope my take on that is incorrect.  Here is the contact information for the diocese.  Ask Bishop Charles Thompson to support Father Mann.  You may rest assured that the gay-nazis are making their displeasure known to the diocese.  We must counteract that.

Please spread the word.  Thank you.

Scandal at Manhattan Parish in Archdiocese of New York

This involves a Jesuit-run parish, St Francis Xavier.  It's no surprise to me that it's Jesuit-run, for reasons that Voris mentions.  I need not "reinvent the wheel" here.  Rather, I urge you to watch the Vortex video and the others pertinent to the situation.  (Click here if you can't see embedded videos)

The supporting videos and documentations can be seen here.  Contact information for the archdiocese is given.  This is a most serious matter, as Archbishop Dolan himself appears to be embroiled in the facilitation of the gay lifestyle in the Archdiocese of New York.

When High Callings Are Abandoned: EWTN And Cardinal Dolan

Michael Voris continued his Vortex by examining the role that EWTN played in smoking out the evil within the Church when Mother Angelica held the reins.  Once some resentful bishops succeeded in marginalizing Mother, they installed lay puppets in EWTN's management.  Now they no longer utter a peep against those who spread poison within the church; sometimes ETWN personalities even cozy up to the nefarious elements.  So EWTN abandoned their high calling.

News arrived that New York City's St Patrick's Day Parade will allow a gay presence in their next parade.  One might have hoped for a protest from Cardinal Dolan!  Nope!  He says he'll continue to support it; in fact he still plans to be the Grand Marshall at the planned orgy.  He offered some lame excuse, saying that he "cannot control" who marches in the parade.  Well, yes he does have control over at least one person who will march in the parade: himself.  He can also forbid any Catholic/diocesan organization from participating.  I agree with the Archibalds that such would be a terrific display of leadership and courage appropriate for a bishop.  But he's caved to sinful pressures many times; see this anthology of so many examples of the scandals offered by Dolan.

Below is today's Vortex.  In it we see Mother Angelica's excellent rebuke of so many church officials.  One can only imagine what she'd say to Cardinal Dolan today.
