Aristotle And Aquinas

I myself haven't watched the entire clip but I too believe that many of us faithful Catholics have suffered from lack of adequate intellectual formation in our Faith.  This clip is worth a listen, from what I've seen of it.

  1. Those of us brought up with the Baltimore Catechism don't suffer from lack of formation in the faith!

  2. In Scripture, virtue is another word for power or strength (Gr.dynamis). It is not possible to have this without the Holy Spirit. It is a function of Christ’s Spirit within us; therefore it is a spiritual acquisition. No human being can have it, otherwise, regardless of how intelligent a person is because it doesn’t come through reasoning. If a person sees themselves as so intelligent that they do not need God, it is not available for them. It comes through "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
