Sen Schumer - A Constitutional Illiterate

No wonder these liberal/progressive types passed the Obama Hell Bill with a straight face!  They don't know the bare-bones basics of our constitutional system of government!  Listen to Chuck Schumer in this clip below.  He's trying to lay a guilt trip on the Republicans regarding the budget, but shows himself to be a complete ass!  You'll hear it at the 1:12 mark, where he states that the three branches of government are (try not to laugh too hysterically, although it will be hard!):
  1. House
  2. Senate
  3. President
Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Now do you think you'll hear the mainstream media report on this?  NO!   However, if this sort of ignorance had come from Sarah Palin, Michele Bachman or any other conservative, that same mainstream media would be chortling over this for weeks on end.  Oh, by the way, the three branches of the government are:
  1. Legislative
  2. Executive
  3. Judiciary
If you didn't know that, you'll find a link to the U.S. Constitution on the right side bar.

Obama Hell Bill Ruled Unconstitutional!

Yes, it seems that sanity is returning to the judiciary - or at least a glimpse of it.  Mind you, the judge who ruled on this is a Reagan appointee.  Maybe the Gipper is giving us a birthday present from above, in anticipation of his 100th birthday that approaches this week.  This from Comcast.

Here's a salient point from Judge Vinson's opinion, regarding the purchase mandate.  "Or, as discussed during oral argument, Congress could require that people buy and consume broccoli at regular intervals. Not only because the required purchases will positively impact interstate commerce, but also because people who eat healthier tend to be healthier, and are thus more productive and put less of a strain on the health care system."  Boys and girls, let's be clear.  Michelle Obama would probably like to do precisely that - govern our diets!

Naturally, the administration will appeal this.  Let's pray that higher courts will have the same clarity.

Bishop Tobin Of Rhode Island Comments On Obama's Tuesday Address

The bishop's comments on Tuesday's State of the Union address are spot-on.  It's refreshing to see a bishop not afraid to call out the moral vacuity of the Messiah Most Miserable.  Here are Bishop Tobin's remarks from The Rhode Island Catholic.

Back By Popular Demand And Great Need

Those of us who were active in the failed 1992 attempt to repeal Maryland's SB162 by referendum will remember the prayer cards to the right.  They were devised by the Maryland bishops, who ordered that this prayer be prayed at all Masses prior to the November 1992 elections.  Well, after that disastrous election which not only kept SB162 in place but elected Bill Clinton to his first term, this prayer was immediately scuttled by the bishops.  I was truly baffled, since I thought such prayers were needed then more than ever.

I and a number of other people have continued to pray this prayer privately after Mass over the intervening years.  I present this prayer to you at the right, and invite you to download and share it with your fellow Catholics.

"Gay Marriage" Bill Introduced In Maryland Legislature

It's called the "Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Act", and its purpose is to repeal a section of Maryland law that stipulates that only a marriage between a man and a woman is valid.  LifesiteNews has more discussion on that measure.

"Catholyc" Governor Martin O'Malley said that he would sign the measure if it passes the legislature.  In that case, we will bring the measure to referendum.

Baltimore Anti-Pregnancy Center Law Declared Unconstitutional

From today's Christian Newswire, we read that the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland found the Baltimore City law requiring signage in pro-life pregnancy centers to be unconstitutional.  The case is Archbishop of Baltimore et al. v. City of Baltimore et al.  In his opinion, Judge Garbis stated "the Government cannot, consistent with the First Amendment, require a 'pro-life' pregnancy-related service center to post a sign as would be required by the Ordinance."  He also referred to the ordinance as "viewpoint-based discrimination".

A similar suit is in progress regarding the ordinance as it was enacted in Montgomery County last year.  Today Judge Garbis's ruling bodes well for the Montgomery County pregnancy centers, as well as pregnancy centers all over the country.  We illustrated last year how these ordinances were part of a coordinated campaign by NARAL to stifle the pregnancy centers so that abortionists' blood-money revenue wouldn't dry up.

CCHD Director Explains His Support Of A Pro-Abort Pol - Kinda!

Creative Minority Report does an excellent job of exposing the verbal tap dance that Ralph McCloud attempted in his lame "defense" of his support of a pro-abortion politician.   I won't rehash the whole thing here, as there is no need.  Please read it.  I will differ with him on one point.  He opines that McCloud is not fit to head the CCHD and should resign.  Au contraire!  He is an appropriate director for the CCHD, becaue it's the CCHD that is rotten to the core and from its inception.  It's not so much the case that McCloud should resign.  Rather, the whole entire USCCB - with CCHD included - should be scuttled immediately.  Its very existence is a bane to the Catholic Church, draining its resources to progressive organizations as Egan et al intended all along.

More Proof Of The Undeniable Linkage Between Abortion And Contraception

Those who think that abortion can be fought without overtly combatting contraception are not being honest with themselves.  That goes for National Right to Life Committee and its various local affiliates.  Priests and other clergy, you MUST start preaching this from the pulpits.  Enough of the deplorable silence on this matter!

We Must Fight Contraception - Beginning In The Catholic Pulpits!

Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

He's right.  As long as the Catholic leadership demur from their task to speak out regarding God's plan for sexuality and the horrid evil of contraception, the murder will continue.  That makes them complicit in acts of murder.  There can be no side-stepping of this issue.

Speaking of side-stepping of this issue, how many remember the Manhattan Declaration?  Not too many?  It's probably just as well.  At any rate, in October of 2009, the Manhattan Declaration was considered a "seminal, ground-breaking document".  At that time, emails were flying about willy-nilly, and we "had to sign it or the world would disintegrate immediately"!  Remember all that peer-pressure hub-bub?  This document supposedly treated on all the cultural ills that we are facing today.  It did do a reasonably decent job of treating divorce, abortion, gay lifestyle, etc.  Still, something was missing - not one mention of it!  Given the topic of this blog post, I bet you can guess what this mysterious "something" is!  Yep!  Contraception!!

I couldn't sign the Manhattan Delcaration for the reasons Voris so eloquently states.  It does Irish jigs around the seminal issue of all - contraception.  I made my displeasure known, and repeat that displeasure to warn that to the extent that we are willing to overlook contraception, no matter the reason, to that extent we compromise with the culture of death.  It's time to throw this "polite silence" crap into the toilet where it belongs (and flush!) and speak the plain truth.  Not only does this onus fall on the shoulders of the bishops, but also on the shoulders of those who call themselves "pro-life activists".

US Bishops Support Three Pro-Life Bills

From Lifesite News we read that Cardinal DiNardo of Galveston-Houston, chairman of the Committee on Pro-Life Activities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), announced the bishops' support of:
  • Protect Life Act, H.R. 358
  • Abortion Non-Discrimination Act, H.R. 361
  • No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, H.R. 3
While we are pleased with this support, we also call on the nation's bishops to lend support for H.R. 2, Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act.  It cannot be fixed.  Socialized medicine is inherently dangerous to innocent life.  It is completely at odds with the principle of subsidiarity and furthers the encroachment of socialism in our culture.  H.R. 2 passed the House and now is awaiting a vote by the U.S. Senate.  Your Eminences and Excellencies, please support the complete dismantling of the ACA monstrosity.

Sr Carol Keehan Talks Out Of Both Sides Of Mouth

Sr Carol must be smarting from well-deserved rebukes that faithful Catholics have been giving her, since she sold unborn babies and elderly/infirm people down the river with her despicable support of the Obama Hell Bill.  She is supporting (well, kinda!) the Protect Life Act, H.R. 358.  She wrote to Joe Pitts, and I quote (from Lifenews, and I'll highlight interesting portions) the following.

I am writing to applaud your efforts to ensure the protection of the unborn and of providers’ conscience rightsWe want to offer our support for your legislation, H.R. 358, the Protect Life Act.  While we continue to believe the current provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) prevent federal funding of abortion (Sister, whom do you think you're fooling?), your legislation will provide further protection by codifying the Hyde amendment relative to the new health care reform law. We also appreciate the bill’s additions to the conscience protections which hospitals and health care providers already have under the Weldon Amendment. We look forward to working with you to ensure access to life-affirming health care coverage for all.”

Sister, thank you for voicing support of H.R. 358.  I hope it lasts and isn't (ahem!) "reconsidered".  What will really affirm life and protection for all vulnerable people is if you and CHA lobby for passage of H.R. 2 in the U.S. Senate.  Of course it would be nice if the USCCB got on board with that, too.

Coming Soon To A School District Near You??

In Oakland, CA, a teacher of second-grade children has been put on suspension after news of two separate episodes of sexual abuse of his students became known to school officials.  In the first incident, several children removed their clothes and were naked in the classroom.  In the second, a boy and girl performed oral sex in the classroom.  Mind you, these children are 7-8 years old.  In both cases, the teacher was present in the classroom.  Read these two reports:
http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-general/20110122/US.Classroom.Sex/
http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2011/01/21/oakland-2nd-graders-reportedly-engage-in-sex-acts-teacher-suspended/

School officials suspended the teacher indefinitely and are investigating.  They sent a letter of apology to understandably irate parents.

I post this here because the same thing could well happen in other areas, including Maryland.  We can thank the cultural morass at large for fomenting this sex abuse of children.  And yes, it is abuse, not merely "sex acts".  If this is true, those children who performed oral sex (how would they know how to do that?) were raped by their teacher.  The news reports are talking of "firing".  I think in terms of criminal prosecution, and I hope the parents pursue it.

Another Georgetown Jesuit Plops A Stinker

The Creative Minority Report uncovered an astounding video of statements made by Georgetown's Associate Dean and Director of Catholic Studies Fr. Ryan Maher, S.J.  According to this reputed son of St Ignatius Loyola, “Our job as educators and as priests is not to bring God to people, or even to bring people to God. God’s already there and the people are already there. Our job, our way, of living out our educational vocation is to ask the right questions, and to help young people ask those questions."  Dear Father, you are also tasked with articulating the answers to those questions, as well.  To the next priest yammering on about "interreligious dialog", your sacred commission is to proclaim unambiguously that Jesus Christ is the Way, Truth and Life, and that the Roman Catholic Faith contains the fullness of Truth that no other does.  By the way - get those Muslim prayer rugs OUT of the Catholic chapels now!

St Ignatius Loyola, St Francis Xavier, the North American Martyrs, St Edmund Campion, St Aloysius Gonzaga and Servant of God John Hardon, pray for your brother Jesuits.

Read the CMR blog link.  I post the video below.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Gender Confusion Within The Church

No, I'm not referring to gays, "transgender" folk or anything else of the sort, so there's no need for my progressive lurkers to get themselves worked up in a blather.  The true situation, unfortunately, is even more basic than that, as my blogging colleague, "Good Jesuit, Bad Jesuit" makes plain.

It seems that Rev Thomas J. Reese, S.J., erstwhile editor of America (until ousted by Pope Benedict XVI), has stuck both feet into his mouth - and apparently swallowed!  "Good Jesuit, Bad Jesuit" reproduces some of Reese's remarks that he made at a forum on December 5th.  The most insipid of these is, "maybe God knows what she's doing."  That's right!  Father used a female pronoun while referring to God.  As a commenter says, since Jesus referred to the Father as a male, the Church will follow suit.  We must conclude one of the three following regarding Father Reese's remarks.  Either:
  • Father is suffering from extreme gender confusion when it comes to God, or
  • Maybe the "god" that Father worships does present itself as female.  In that case, the "god" is either a figment of Father's imagination or something far more sinister
  • "Good Jesuit, Bad Jesuit" took his information from this National Catholic Reporter article.  Knowing that publication's progressive leanings, perhaps someone at NCR tampered with the transcript of Father's remarks.  If so, though, how is it that no one else at NCR caught such an error?
No wonder Pope Benedict XVI relieved him of his editorial responsibilities at America.  Recall that was one of the Holy Father's first acts during his papacy.  Now Father occupies that dissent-den known as Georgetown University.

USCCB Supports Internet Gag Rules

Hint!  They weren't particularly enthusiastic about the House's vote to repeal the Obama Hell Care bill!  C'mon!  It shouldn't be that hard to guess (more's the shame upon them)!  It's the (drum roll, please!)

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops!

Yessirre!  They issued a letter to the feds supporting that policy, stating that "true net neutrality is necessary for people to flourish in a democratic society."

Your eminences and your excellencies, that's plain wrong for several reasons.  First, what's needed is what we already have - the First Amendment, which guarantees that "Congress shall make no law..abridging the freedom of speech or of the press".  We need freedom to express our ideas and beliefs.  If the majority of those ideas should fall to one side or another, so be it.  Which brings us to the second reason why the USCCB errs in this matter.  What on earth is this "net neutrality"?  Who determines that?  The Feds?  Why should any citizen or media outlet submit to their arbitrarily-contrived "standards"?  Again, that runs completely afoul of the First Amendment.

So what may be a reason for the USCCB clamoring for this "net neutrality"?  Why on earth would they lobby for regulations that could well impede the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which this Church is divinely commissioned to preach?  Well, there are reasons - and you're looking at one right now!

If all media was "mainstream" and under the control of the establishment, including Church establishment, the hierarchy would feel no challenge to their doings and sayings - "doings and sayings" that often dissent from the Magisterium.  Cochroaches hate the light, as do all nefarious beings.  This blog, and thousands more outlets (a fine sampling is on the right side bar) expose their misdeeds and we call for reform.  Because we are loud and persistent and not "politically correct", we often are successful in obtaining reform - or at least we succeed in embarrassing those clergy and church personnel who persist in their misbehaviors.

We, of course, need to fight this by lobbying the House of Representatives.  This current House seems much more friendly to conservative values.  And let's not forget, the House holds the Federal purse strings.  This "net neutrality" stuff isn't a threat that just impacts conservative Christians, but all Americans.  Shame on the USCCB for jumping onto yet another politically-correct bandwagon of the progressives.

More On Kermit Gosnell, Philadelphia Baby Butcher

On Wednesday, I reported on the arrest of Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist charged with eight counts of murder.  He was arrested with several accomplices, including his wife.  Operation Rescue has provided mug shots of these characters, along with charges filed against them.  Note how many are charged with performing medical procedures with no license.  The same Operation Rescue page links to the official grand jury report, as well as some photos of the murder victims.  I warn you, they are graphic, but they depict the horror of what those little people endured as they were brutally murdered.

Syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin writes about this, making the point that many officials and agencies knew of the horrific events - or at least had reasonable cause to suspect something amiss - yet looked the other way.   The National Abortion Federation was one of them.  Meanwhile Jeffrey Kuhner of the Washington Times aptly describes Gosnell's mill as a "house of horrors akin to those in Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia".  I urge you to read it.

I'll keep you posted as more information becomes known.

Correcting Abuses Of Vatican II

A little clarification on this post title is in order.  I do not mean that the Council itself was abusive.  I am saying that the proceeds of the Council, good in and of themselves, have been abused by progressives who have corrupted then co-opted them to their own nefarious ends.

Bishop Athanasius Schneider is addressing these matters head-on.  The translation of Schneider's statements, mentioned in this Vortex, is here.  As you listen to Voris speak of Liberation Theology being thinly disguised Marxism, think back to yesterday's vote in the House, and the USCCB's reaction to the prospect of Obama Hell Scare being repealed.  Why else would the USCCB want to keep that draconian Obamacare mess on the books?  Guadium et Spec speaks against such attitudes.  If you wish, this blog does link to the Vatican website on the right bar.  Voris also states that the Pope, along with bishops in communion with him, are the only authentic interpreters of Church teaching - not the USCCB, nor RCIA, etc.  So again, what business did the USCCB have in prattling about firearm ownership by citizens?

House Republicans Introduce Two More Pro Life Bills

We read from The Hill's Healthcare Blog that House Republicans today introduced two bills aimed at curbing taxpayer funding of abortion - in other words, to prevent us from being coerced into paying for baby-murder.

We mentioned in earlier posts the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.  It was one of the highlights that was pointed out in Jill Stanek's blog.  Its aim is to prohibit permanently any federal subsidies for abortions and for healthcare plans that cover abortions.  Its bill number is H.R. 3.

Soon to be filed is the Protect Life Act, which will be a rewrite of the current Hell Care mess to remove taxpayer funding for abortion.

Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, makes a fool of herself by spouting this illogical nonsense: "Republicans took control of Congress on a promise to create jobs, but instead, one of their first acts is to take away health insurance benefits that the majority of women currently have.  The true intent ... is to end insurance coverage for virtually all abortions, including private insurance coverage that Americans pay for with their own money, even in cases involving the most severe dangers to a woman's health."  Cecile, why are you in such a panic?  Dear, sit down and take some deep breaths!   The problem is that Planned Parenthood is seeking to use the Obama Hell Bill to charge the Federal government (i.e., the taxpayers) for abortions that they perpetrate.  Of course, Cecile, you wouldn't see that as a problem, since it fattens your paycheck.  What these bills will do is keep us, the taxpayer, from contributing to the murder of babies and from lining your wallet... Oh!  Of course!  That's why you're having such a hissy-snit-fit!

Philadelphia Abortionist Arrested On Eight Counts Of Murder

Last evening Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, his wife and eight other suspects were arrested on eight counts of murder.  Seven of the victims were babies who were born alive, then murdered when Gosnell jabbed the backs of their necks with scissors and snapped their spinal cords.  The eighth was a woman whose death he caused by overdosing her with painkillers.  Besides these deaths, his other behavioral outrages include:
  • illegally prescribing medications
  • improperly licensed, or non-licensed staff
  • filthy conditions at his mills
  • leaving aborted baby body parts in a woman, nearly causing her death
The above list is not all-inclusive.  For more details (including videos of news broadcasts), go to:
http://www.operationrescue.org/archives/%E2%80%9Che-left-an-arm-and-a-leg-inside-me%E2%80%9D-pa-abortion-horror-highlights-need-for-greater-oversight/

http://www.jillstanek.com/2011/01/breaking-abortionist-arrested-on-8-counts-of-murder-7-for-killing-aborted-alive-newborns/#more-19440

We rejoice that this cabal is behind bars where they will pose no more threat for women and babies.

House Votes To Repeal Obama Hell Scare Bill

As announced yesterday, the House of Representatives held the vote.  I am happy to report that they voted to repeal it.  The 245-189 vote was mainly along party lines; when the roll call is available, I'll post it.  My congratulations to Speaker Boehner and all who worked to bring this repeal bill to the floor.

Now all eyes are on the Senate.  Conventional wisdom holds that they will scuttle the bill or vote it down.  However, there are Democrats who are up for reelection in 2012.  Not all of them are stupid; they realize why many of their colleagues are not included in the 112th Congress.  Perhaps they aren't prepared to seal their own professional fates, the whining of Obama and Reid notwithstanding.

This will be interesting to watch.  Moreover, this gives us reason for prayer.

Prayers are also needed for one group of individuals who are not entirely happy with the prospect of the Hell Bill being finally overturned?  Who might that group be?  The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops!  Insisting that "health care is a basic human right",  they want to "improve and correct serious moral problems in the current law".  They don't accept the truth that socialized medicine is a serious moral problem!  When will they learn?

CCHD Head Campaigned For Pro-Abortion Political Candidate

That's right.  Creative Minority Report tells us that during the 2008 election cycle, Ralph McCloud, while working in his capacity as CCHD director, worked as campaign treasurer for Texan Wendy Davis.  The public record is here.  Ms Davis was endorsed by Planned Parenthood.  Unfortunately, Davis defeated her pro-life opponent.  Therefore we can conclude that Ralph McCloud worked directly against a candidate who would have helped unborn children and worked for someone who would facilitate their murder.

That campaign itself ran afoul of some ethics guidelines.  Planned Parenthood of North Texas was fined several thousand dollars for not reporting just how much money they gave to Davis' campaign.  Please study the CMR post carefully.

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development touts itself as an organization that works to empower the disenfranchised.  McCloud has made clear the lie that is the CCHD motto.

Here's a very interesting, and telling aside.  As you read the comments, note the one about the USCCB logo encompassing the logo for gnosticism.  I went to the wikipedia site, and sure enough, the resemblance between the two logos is quite uncanny.  That is not an accident!

One more time - let's scrap the CCHD and the entire USCCB!  Get the filthy rot out of the Church!

Obamacare Repeal Vote Scheduled For TOMORROW!!!

From Lifesite News, we read that the GOP-controlled House will hold the debate and vote tomorrow regarding H.R. 2, a bill that will fully repeal the so-called "Affordable Care Act".  Now guess what?  H.R. 2 is online and is downloadable.  Before you peek, guess how many pages it is?  Answer?  Two entire pages!  Not 2000+ pages, as is the monstrosity that will be put into the dung heap of history, but just plain 2!  Eric Cantor is the author of this, and has given to it the short title of "Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act".  Of course we all know that under Obamacare many innocent people will be killed - rather murdered.

After this vote, all eyes will be on the Senate.  While it still remains in control of the Democrats, that control was significantly weakend in November.  Moreover, many Senators who voted for the Obamamess will be up for reelection in two years.  Knowing the fate of some of their colleagues, they may see the errors of their ways, arm-twisting by Reid notwithstanding.

Warning!  The whining, kvetching and just plain hysteria over the removal of Obama Hell Care has already commenced.  Progressive pundit Bill Maher has gone so far as to blame lack of socialized medicine for the Tuscon shootings.  I'm not kidding; watch for yourselves.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Bill, if you're watching this, fret not!  It isn't hard for a crazy person to get a job or health care.  If you want proof, just look in the closest mirror.  Do you  have a job and health care?  I rest my case!

Father Pfleger Joins The "Disarm Citizens" Chorus

I'm beginning to smell a bit of a coordinated effort here on the part of the progessive element in the Church to exploint the Arizona shootings.  First, the USCCB through their media arm is calling for the disarmament of the citizenry.  Now Father Michael Pfleger, Obama confidant, has added his shrill voice to the clamor, according to this Chicago Tribune article.  Now I'm not sure what the blue lights have to do with the price of fish here (yes, the "fish" comment is a bit of an acknowledgement to the future mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emmanuel), but I'm sure we'll be advised presently.

Some might recall Father Pfleger as being very much against guns - so much so that he actually threatened to "snuff out" the owner of Chuck's Gun Shop in Chicago and legislators who vote against gun control laws.  Listen to Father Pfleger's less-than-peaceful screed for yourselves.   (Click here if you can't see embedded video)

By the bye - don't you find this language to be somewhat incendiary?  All this rhetoric - I'll call it "hate speech" - about "snuffing out" and "blowing away" cannot be considered civilized by any standards.  That goes double for a Roman Catholic priest.  So now that Fr Pfleger has chimed in, will we hear rebukes of him, as we did regarding Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and others?

So who amongst the "catholyc" left will be the next to join the clarion call for the disarmament of US citizens?  Who will be the next mouthpiece of the Messiah Most Miserable and his Mindless Minions to call for our shedding of our defenses?

Leftist CINO Rag: "Disarm Law-Abiding Citizens"

This article appears in the US Catholic magazine, but the blame for this nonsense lies squarely on the shoulders of the so-called "Catholic" News Services, those water-boys for the progressives who need a "Catholic" veneer for their nonsense.  It is entitled: Gun control: Church firmly, quietly opposes firearms for civilians

Taking bits and pieces of various statements made by this and that document, the author tries to extrapolate a case for the disarmament of the law-abiding citizen.  She does find a quote, however, from the USCCB stating, "However, we believe that in the long run and with few exceptions -- i.e. police officers, military use -- handguns should be eliminated from our society."

My reply to that is "So what?"  We have put forth the case several times in this blog that the USCCB has no canonical authority whatsoever to determine Church policy.  For example, see:
http://restore-dc-catholicism.blogspot.com/2010/09/bishop-vasa-usccb-has-no-intrinsic.html
http://restore-dc-catholicism.blogspot.com/2010/02/what-is-usccb-anyway.html (note: watch that video on youtube, then watch the other Vortex videos on the USCCB as well)

Must-Read For Community Organizers!

This just in!  I have been tipped off as to the latest addition to the reading list for community organizing trainees!  Voila!

Who Appointed ACLU As De Facto Pope?

Yesterday the ACLU outdid themselves in proliferation of nonsense by pompously declaring that with regard to contraceptive coverage in the Obama Hell Bill, Catholic leaders “cannot interfere” into the matter “by turning their religious beliefs into federal law.”

"Turning their religious beliefs into federal law"!!?!  What?  The bishops have no inate power to "turn their relgious beliefs into federal law".  What they do have, however, is the right to bring their religious beliefs into the public square, as does any other interest group - and yes, ACLU, interest groups are allowed to exists and they do  have First Amendment rights!

But wait!  There's more!  “Religious leaders are free to express their belief that birth control is immoral, but they cannot interfere in our personal decision making by turning their religious beliefs into federal law and taking away access to critical health care,” the statement concluded.  Dear ACLU, please be sitting down when I tell you this minor fact.  Anyone who lobbies, be they individuals or groups, brings their religious (or anti-religious, as case may be) beliefs with them as they seek to influence law.  It is not only our right but our responsibility to do so.  Please get used to it

Dear ACLU, to soften the blow of getting used to it, I present to you now the sterling example of FORMER Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.  At the Catholic Community Conference this past summer in Washington DC, Pelosi stated she believes she must pursue public policies "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh."  We're certain that she "turned her religious beliefs into federal law", such as her "religious beliefs" might be.  Read it for yourselves!  Better yet, see it for yourselves!

Now did you take the FORMER Speaker aside to chide her about (oh what is that phrase you used...oh yes!) turning her religious beliefs into federal law?  I didn't think so!  As we all know, the ACLU ardently pursues a progressive slant towards public policy.  As long as the "religious belief" in question falls within your progressive criterion, why, you're just happy to let it go!   But if that belief espouses traditional, conservative beliefs, why...why, you simply won't brook it!

Guys, nice try but no cigar!  We're onto you!  Get used to it!

Guess What Your Tax Dollars Are Doing???

According to this Lifesite News article, the Messiah Most Miserable is using Your Tax Dollars to promote his Hell Bill.  He's concerned, you see, about its declining popularity and he needs to misappropriate Your Tax Dollars to bamboozle folks into glomming onto the abortion promotion, death panels (yes, they will be snuck back in!), bloated bureacracy, etc.

This is quite a "high-tech" path that he's taking.  He's buying - with Your Tax Dollars - promotional space on popular search engines.  Of course the Department of Health and Human Services (under CINO Kathleen Sebelius) won't say precisely how much of Your Tax Dollars are being misappropriated and squandered on this venture.

Hey, the Messiah Most Miserable doesn't care!  After all, it's not his money, but your hard-earned dollars being used to mollify you as your health care is seized by Big Government.

Your Tax Dollars!  Hard(ly) At Work!

ALL Sheds More Light On Sr Keehan And St Joseph Hospital

American Life League's Michael Hichborn sheds some new light on the relationships between St Joseph Hospital in Phoenix and Sister Carol Keehan (of Obamacare infamy).  These relationships are cemented by - you guessed it! - money!  And LOTS of it!

Click here if you can't see embedded video.

In light of the previous post, I have a question.  There is scandal here, right?  Is that scandal in the actual disobedience of Sister Carol and St Joseph, or in the exposition of it?  Hopefully the answer is obvious, for only in its exposition can the scandalous situation be set aright.  Bishop Olmsted made gigantic leaps in correcting that mess, for which we all owe him gratitude.  May his brother bishops follow his example.

The Scandal Of The Oblivious Catholic

So often we who make known the ills of the Church are villified as scandalmongers - or at best, eccentric alarmists focusing "only on the negative".  These attitudes quite often come from good people who do go to Mass and are faithful to marriage vows, who do try to raise their children properly, etc.  However, they either fail to, or perhaps refuse to, acknowledge the severity of the corruption inside the Church.  They play the role of the "three monkeys" very well.  I daresay the folks who produce the Catholic Standard, for the most part, are of that ilk.  Of course their priorities are dictated by the chancery, but there still remains that concept of journalistic integrity for which they should aim - for whatever reason, they don't.  I cannot excuse that; the omissions of key facts from their accounts are too glaring not to be noticed by those of us who do have our eyes open.

So why do we bloggers, etc continue to sound the alarm, at the expense of making other good Catholics uncomfortable?  Well, as Our Lord said, "ye shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free."  Notice He did not say "ye shall think happy, positive thoughts, and they'll make you feel warm and fuzzy".  The truth sometimes is unpleasant, but it must be accepted by us all.  Without the light being shown on the ills of the Church, there will be no motivation to rectify those ills.  Let us realize that the scandal lies not in the exposition of evil, but in the evil itself.  Should we turn blind eyes and deaf ears to that evil and say nothing (the three monkeys!) , it is then that we'll truly be culpable of spreading scandal - for we'll be letting evil continue unhindered.

Remember James Lee? Whose "Rhetoric" Is Causing Violent Outbursts?

Ample evidience abounds that Jared Loughner was not motivated in the least by conservative thought.  He had drug problems and several run-ins with law officials.  His Youtube channel states that his favorite books include Hitler's Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto.  That same channel show a video of him burning the US flag.

Now let's recall another insane man who undoubtedly was listening to left-wing rhetoric.  I call to your memories one James Lee.  Last September, he held a number of people hostage in the Discovery Channel Building in Silver Spring MD.  He had bombs and threatened to use them.  While only he was killed in the stand-off, he did manage to shut down Silver Spring for a good part of the day.  I posted about that when it happened.  Here it is.  Read the links to see how he was heavily influenced by radical environmentalisn.  Many other proponents of radical environmentalism are unabashedly contemptuous of human life.  Want proof?  Go here and here, making sure you follow the links in those articles.

Now here's another link revealing that Lee was pro-abortion.  When you read that piece, follow the link to Jill Stanek's blog, where you can see and hear Lee arguing with pro-life demonstrators and espousing his strange world views.

So according to evidence that Lee himself willingly supplied, he was a pro-abortion radical environmentalist.  Now perhaps my memory is failing me, but I sure don't recall hearing any liberal pundits calling for pro-abortion and/or environmentalists to tone down their "inflamatory" talk after Lee was killed.  After all, Lee himself made no secret of his proclivities, did he?

Now of course I don't think environmentalists and pro-abortion folks are to blame for the Discovery Channel stand-off.  The one guilty party has met his eternal fate.   However, liberal/progressive pundits are doing their utmost to stretch all kinds of logic to ascribe some sort of blame for Gifford's shooting to Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, talk radio, Tea Party, any of the voices of conservatism.  Read this Newsbusters account of one debate.  Newsbusters does a good job of exposing the double-standard.

Dear liberal pundits: nice try, but no cigar.  We're here and we will exercise our First Amendment rights.  You may not think it's "civil", since "civility" to you seems to mean that all must fall lock-step with your progressive programs, or else!  (Recall the video in one of this post's earlier links)

Gasp! "Inflamatory Speech" In Pakistan!

Recently Pope Benedict XVI called for Pakistan to modify its blasphemy laws in light of the death sentence being meted out to a woman who dared to state that Christianity is true.  Well, that is causing a major snit-fit amongst the perpetually-outraged Muslim devotees over there.  The American Papist has on his post photos of His Holiness being burned in effigy.  If that isn't "inflamatory" (literally!), then what is?

Yoo hoo!  Chris Matthews!  Tom Brokow!  All the rest of you liberal pundits!  If ever there was a need for "civility", it's in Pakistan!  Stop your silly tirades against Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Tea Partiers simply because they're conservative.  All the evidence points to Jared Loughner being on your side of the political spectrum anyway (notice I'm not blaming the libs, though, as Loughner is simply insane) and it can't be refuted despite your best efforts.  So make honest people of yourselves and call for "civility" in Pakistan.  Or do you all define "civility" as "being in lock-step with liberal/progressive agendas"?

Cardinal O'Malley Trashes His Diocesan Catholic Schools

He has just announced that they will admit children of gay "parents".  Do you think that the teachers will be free to proclaim the truth of God's provisions for matrimony and family life?  I direct you to the post of my colleague of Throw The Bums Out, who lives there and must deal with the mess that is in front of her face, to the everlasting shame of the feckless Cardinal O'Malley and his minions of his chancery.

Marquette University Hires Feingold

Former US Senator Russ Feingold ("former" because of his Tea-Party defeat) has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law of Marquette University Law School.  Marquette is ostensibly "catholic" while Feingold is pro-abortion.  The "law education" that will spew forth from his mouth will have nothing to do with sound morality.

Stay away from that CINO place!

The Church DOES Have A Position On Gays In The Military!

Last month Cardinal Wuerl stated in a television interview that the Church has "no position" on gays in the military.  I commented on it here, and included a link to the interview itself.

It seems that there may have been some mistake!  As today's episode of the Vortex pointed out, the Vatican did issue some rather clear statements regarding that very issue (and others, such as gay adoption, etc).  The 1992 Vatican statement to which Voris refers can be found on the Vatican's website here.  Please read it carefully and see how many misstatements regarding Church teaching about homosexuality are refuted and set aright.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Cdl Wuerl: "Reflecting On The State Of The Church"

That is the title of an email that someone sent to me, from Cardinal Wuerl.  In italics below is the text of that email dated January 9th.  Actually, because this is a long read...

Cardinal Wuerl And Mayor Gray

As all know by now, Cardinal Wuerl gave the invocation at Vincent Gray's inauguration as mayor of Washington DC.  My colleague at An Archdiocese of Washington Catholic has a write up here.  That in turns links to the transcript of the invocation.

Of course the Catholic Standard published a glowing account of the event - santized, of course.  What do I mean by that?  In that Standard article, there was no mention whatsoever of Gray's promotion of abortion and same-sex "marriage".  Again, my colleague highlights that omission that is all-too-typical for the Standard.  If you find that difficult to believe, read it here.

If you'd like some evidence of Mr. Gray's political pursuasions, another blogging colleague, American Papist, came across this Washington Post piece about the decor of Mayor Gray's office.  (By the bye - aren't these nice digs for a city that's running in the red?  But I digress!)  Notice the 6th photo, which I post below.

Yep!  That's an award from Planned Parenthood that has been placed in front of his pictures with the Pope!  Rather telling, isn't it?  At least the mayor is candid about his political and moral leanings.  That's more than can be said for the Catholic Standard.  No doubt they're "running interference" for the Cardinal, lest it cross anyone's mind that he's pandering to a pro-abortion, pro-gay CINO.

Mr Speaker, We Are NOT Impressed!

(Note - the following open letter to Speaker John Boehner has been emailed to his office.)

Mr Speaker, it was announced that you are suspending this week all legislative business this week because of the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords.  While both she and the others shot are in our thoughts and prayers, we fail to see how this postponement will be of any assistance to them.  In fact, we fail to see how this postponement will serve any tangible purpose whatsoever.  Had Ms Giffords passed away, we would appreciate a period of mourning for a colleague, but such is not the case today.  We've no doubt that had the Democrats been in charge, that they would have gone forward with the vote (provided they knew it would go their way).

Unfortunately but not unexpectedly, the shrill cries of the left are shrieking throughout the public, blaming the shooting everybody and everything that does not conform to their distorted world view: Sarah Palin, Tea Party, talk radio, and so on (omitting the actual perpetrator, of course).  We hope and pray that this postponement is not an attempt to appease those shrill voices of nonsense.  Please be certain that you will be attacked by the mainstream media relentlessly.  There will be no reprieve, so you might as well get used to it.  All that being said, it was not the minions of the left who elected this Republican majority to the House; it was the people, the grass-root types (held in derision by the left) who elected you.

In 1994 we also elected a Republican majority to Congress.  Frankly we were disappointed that the Republican majority didn't have the resolve to stand down the liberals who even then were distorting the fabric of our country.  We demand that this 112th Congress stand with backbones strong and straight and correct the course of this country, with no interruption or hesitation.  Accordingly, we write this open letter to you to advise you of our dim view of this postponement and what appears to be underlying motives of appeasement to the Left.  Again, Mr Speaker, it was not the Left who caused the gavel to be in your hands.  It was the people who will not be disappointed again.

In the name of all that is decent, Mr Speaker, hold the vote on the Obama Health Care repeal this week as you promised.

A Beautiful Sight!

Click here if you can't see embedded video.

I've got to hand it to Pelosi; her speach whilst handing the gavel was very gracious.  I do hope that Boehner learns to control the tear ducts; that really is unbecoming of him.  At any rate, our eyes are on this new crew.

Important note as of January 9th.  The above is the original post as of January 5th, to which I add the following addendum for clarification.  The video above is the actual handing over of the gavel.  There is an altered version of this clip, popularized by Jimmy Kimmel Live, changed to depict John Boehner committing assault and battery upon Nancy Pelosi.  For reasons that I cannot fathom, some think this to be a humorous video.  I beg to differ.  At best, the Kimmel clip is a sophomoric hack job.  Let me be very clear.  Nancy Pelosi, as Speaker of the House, did untold damage to this nation and I'm glad she is now relegated to a position that is less harmful to the nation.  However, she is a human being, made in the image and likeness of God.  As such, we are bound to pray for her and for her repentance, lest she pass away in a state of mortal sin.  As Christians, we are not at liberty to wish her harm nor to chortle at depictions of violence upon her person.  I believe that to be a lack of charity.  I also think the lack of charity in this video extends to John Boehner as well, for it shows him committing a vicious crime.  Since this was originally shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live, I've no reason to believe that a pro-life person created that trash; I hope I'm not proven wrong on this.

New York City Aborting Itself Out of Existence

According to this Wall Street Journal article, statistics show that 41% of pregnancies in New York City are "terminated", e.g., aborted.  Of course it's higher in minority areas.  1% is way too many, but 41 per cent?  Whatever happened to "safe, legal and rare"?  Of course that is a complete lie.

The article goes on to say that the number of abortions in New York City has decreased over the past decade.  Well, if that's true, dare we ask what was the figure last year, from which abortions decreased to 41%?

Mary Alice Carr, New York NARAL president, took the occasion to stick both feet in her mouth.  She decries the religious leaders' "gospel of shame and stigma".  What NARAL has been preaching is the gospel of barrenhood and a demographic implosion.

Mike Pence Gets Down To Business

As a follow-up to yesterday's post, I saw on Christian Newswire that Rep Mike Pence introduced the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (the third item on Jill Stanek's list).  It would prevent any Federal "family planning" funds from going to Planned Parenthood or any other abortion perpetrator.  The bill already has 122 cosponsors.

As The 112th Congress Gets Underway...

Jill Stanek's blog lists four pieces of legislation that pro-lifers will be promoting to the newly-elected Congress.  I needn't reiterate them here; just go to Jill's blog to review.  The first one is slated to come up within the next few weeks, as is the fourth.

If we can get them passed in the House, I think we'll make good strides in at least keeping the life issues at the forefront of the national agenda, which is where they belong.

Your Laugh For Today!

I have to agree with Lifesite News that this thing is funny!  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

It's billed as "an expose of the National Organization for Marriage".   And get this!  Are you sitting down?  According to this, "NOM actually maintains close ties with (gasp!) the Mormon church, the Catholic Church hierarchy, as well as right-wing evangelical pastors".  Oh, the perfidy, the shock and scandal of it all!!

Now that you've recovered from your fainting attacks, why not take a stroll over to NOM's website?  You'll notice that NOM makes no secret of its relationships - and why should it?  The defense of marriage as a God-ordained indissoluable union between one man and one woman is an honorable undertaking.

The outfit that produced the tripe that you just watched call themselves "NOM Exposed".  Well, let's take a stroll over to their website.  Right off the bat we see that this is a project of the Human Rights Campaign.  They, of course, are a "gay rights" outfit.  Consider the source.

Publisher Puts "Warning Labels" On Controversial Literature

A publishing outfit called Wilder Publications has put a "parental advisory" on what its compilation of "classic works" called Foundations of Freedom.  The advisory can be read on page 3 of this Amazon preview.  Note that these works are "products of their times and do not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today. Parents may wish to discuss with their children how views..have changed..before allowing them to read this classic work."

And what, pray tell, might be these nefarious, subversive "classic works"?  They are:
  • The Declaration of Independence
  • The United States Constitution
  • The Articles of Confederation
  • The Federalist Papers
  • Common Sense
A reader is quoted in this Fox News account as saying that Wilder Publications "is trying to protect children from dangerous ideas" such as "limited government, checks and balances, constrained judicial review, dual sovereignty of states and federal government, and deliberative democracy."  That reader may be spot-on.  Here's a smattering of other reader comments.  In addition, Facebook users, there is a Boycott Wilder Page; I for one will visit and "like" it.

I understand that the new Congress will be holding readings of the United States Constitution.  Will the TV stations start putting up warnings before these sessions are broadcast?

Vortex On Recent Episodes Of Bishops Kissing Up To Pro-Abort Pols

Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

Examples abound within the Archdiocese of Washington of bishops doing homage to pro-abortion politicians and their pro-abortion cronies.  I now link to previous blog accounts of such episodes.
You get the idea - in spades!  Now let's pray and work.

Marching Orders For The Laity

Michael Voris of the Vortex spells it out nicely.  Towards the end of the clip, he gives some practical pointers as to how to make your voice heard.  This blog, and many others, exists in part to help you do just that, to inform you of things going on, and to let you know of networking opportunities.

Bishop Hubbard - A New Low In Episcopal Scandals

From Catholic Culture, we read that New York governor Andrew Cuomo, with Sandra Lee (described by New York Daily News as Cuomo's "live-in girlfriend") attended Mass in the Albany Cathedral.  During that Mass, Bishop Howard Hubbard extolled them in his homily, after which Cuomo and Lee received Holy Communion.

To recap, Andrew Cuomo is both pro-abortion and pro "gay marriage".  Since he received Holy Communion, he committed a mortal sin of sacriligious Holy Communion.  Moreover, Bishop Howard, in not enforcing Canon 915, most likely cooperated with that mortal sin.  I thought bishops were supposed to shepherd people away from such sin and towards repentance; it seems that Bishop Hubbard did quite the opposite here.  With bishops like Hubbard sitting in episcopal sees, is it any wonder that the Church is in such rotten shape and that so many souls are careening towards hell?

Offensive Pepsi/Dorito Ad Not To Air

As you can see by clicking on the link http://www.crashthesuperbowl.com/ the blasphemous ad didn't make the first cut.  It is not in the list of finalists.  We have been spared yet another wide-spread slap-in-the-face for Christianity.  Let us thank the Good Lord, and thanks to all who made their voices heard.

Terri Schiavo's "Pontius Pilate" Retires

Florida Circuit Court Judge George Greer will go down in infamy as the judge who several times in 2005 sided with Michael Schiavo to order the murder of Terri Schiavo via depravation of food and water.  However, he will pose no more threat to innocent and helpless people (hopefully) as he has announced his retirement.

Lifenews carries an account of his retirement, with a brief recap of the 2005 murder.  In it we hear of the outcry against Greer's decision.  His wife relates, "It was absolute hell, it truly was — we were captive in our own home.”  She also said that they once received a delivery of dead flowers. “I opened the card and it said: ‘no food, no water.’”  Well, boo-hoo, sniff-sniff!  Grab a hanky and shed a tear!  They were captive in their home?  They weren't captive in the way that Terri was, surrounded by malevolent staff and ex-husband intent on her extermination, denied vists by her parents and friends.  Moreover, if she thinks the flowers looked bad, perhaps she can ponder those shriveled up remnants and understand the state to which her husband helped reduce Terri!  Sorry, Patricia - I feel not one shred of pity for your traumatized little feel-bads!

I pray that Greer wakes up to the fact that he put an innocent woman through a brutal murder.  Perhaps he can ponder the historical fate of Pontius Pilate, who unjustly condemned Jesus Christ to crucifixion.  He needs to repent of his mortal sin of being a formal accomplice to murder.  Else, his immortal soul is in grave jeopardy.

Obamacare Repeal Vote Next Week

The newly-minted House of Representatives, led by Republicans, plans to get down to business next week.   They plan a vote to repeal the Obama Hell bill next week, according to Lifenews.com.  Eric Cantor announced that the repeal bill will be posted on the internet next Monday (a week from today) and a vote will be taken the following Friday.

Getting the bill through the Democrat-controlled Senate will be another matter, but not entirely undoable.  Let's pray that the House Republicans will continue to display courage and resolve during these next two years and at least they can expose to the world the unscrupulous machinations of the Obama/Soros cartel.

A Translation Aide

If a faithful Catholic is going to speak with a hapless soul who is entangled and bewitched by Amchurch gobblygoop, they need to understand the rarified jargon of that strange institution.  I thank my blogging colleage, The Last Papist Standing, for producing this much-needed translation aide.

Here it is.  Enjoy!  He welcomes suggestions for any cult-speak that he may have inadvertently omitted.

No Kennedys In DC Starting This Week

Thanks to Pewsitter for pointing me towards this piece by the Media Research Center, for this never dawned on me.  After the new Congress is sworn in this week, there won't be any member of the Kennedy family in public office.  In 1947, JFK was first elected to the House of Representatives.  As he moved into the White House, an assortment of brothers and newphews occupied various seats in Congress.  That ends this week when Patrick Kennedy (who lost to a Republican) departs.

It seems that this past Saturday, on ABC World News, John Hendren marked this occurrence in a conversation with Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (who herself was defeated by Bob Ehrlich as she ran for the Maryland gubernatorial seat).  She had this profound comment to utter: "I think it's sad.  I think we need a Kennedy."  No wonder she lost that race!

I thank Pewsitter and the Media Research Center for pointing out to us all that delightful point.  Now, as the new Congress is seated, let's keep a close eye on that bunch and let them know that they are accountable to us.  I don't expect them to push through too much conservative legislation, as the progressive lemmings still maintain a slight edge in the Senate, and of course there is the Messiah Most Miserable with two years to go.  However, they control the House, which originates all funding bills, per the Constitution.  Moreover, the Republicans can filibuster the Senate.  Sometimes obstructionism is a beautiful thing, especially when the object of obstruction is perilous to the nation!

TSA Still Bullying People

From this Texas TV station, we read of a woman who was arrested after she refused a pat-down molestation session from the TSA.  She couldn't go through the scanner, due to her pacemaker.  Having been a rape victim in the past, she didn't want to go through a repeat of her trauma.  Can anyone blame her?

The callousness of the TSA is abominable.  What is even more chilling is the attitude of the other travelers interviewed.  These are the sorts of people who would make great nazi pawns.  In fact these are the sorts of folks that might be called "sheeple" - go along to get along.

As I think of these folks, a quote from Benjamin Franklin comes to mind: "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."  They also wind up obtaining neither in the end.

Now let's watch this Rod Stewart-esque video on the TSA screening debacle.  At the very end you'll see the Fourth Amendment.  You might want to pause the video to study that amendment.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

More Thoughts On The Food Police

Look at that video that I posted on Friday with Elmo.  Notice the title?  "Elmo Doesn't Fear Obama's School Lunch".   Odd, isn't it?  Perhaps they're telling us more than they realize - the proverbial "Freudian slip", as it were.

First, there's "Elmo doesn't fear".  Doesn't it seem like they're trying to quell our instinctive revulsion to interference from On High?  This is quite characteristic of any entity that is trying to exert undue force or coercion on another - disarm their natural protective instincts by subtly making the victim feel silly for having reactions of fear - fear that has very real basis.  It's a brainwashing, thought-reform technique.

Then there's "Obama's school lunch".  Where to begin with that one?  Let's just start anywhere.
  • We have here the bald-faced admission that this attempt at control originated with the Messiah Most Miserable himself.  This is his program, and you Great Unwashed better fall in line - right now!  Will the lunch trays now bear that "O" symbol on them?
  • Obama claims to be the President of the United States.  As far as I'm concerned, there is the teensy matter of his birth status that has yet to be resolved, but that's fodder for another post.  At any rate, if he is indeed president, then the US Constitution clearly spells out the duties that are within his purview.  I've read the Constitution.  I've looked up and down, right and left, front and back, and I can see no mention whatsoever of any authority of the President to determine the diets of anyone in the United States.  But the video clearly states "Obama's school lunch".  The White House produced this thing - courtesy of your tax dollars, hard at work!
Whether or not we fear Obama's lunch or not, why must our school children eat it?  What is to be feared and yes, hated and resisted, is this shameless attempt of Big Brother, Nanny-State, Nazi-wannabee Government to bust its big bazoo into our personal lives and take dominion over us.  This crap about being concerned "for the children" is a flimsy, shallow excuse through which most school children can see, "Elmo's" little schtick not withstanding.

Fat-Police-Nazis Agents Strike In Baltimore

Remember yesterday's post, where I said we'd better watch out for the Fat Police soon to come our way?  My bad!  They're already here!  In October, the Baltimore City Health Department issued its first "environmental citation for repeat violation".  The hapless violator is ironically named "Healthy Choice".   They've been slapped with a $100 fine and were told that another violation could result in their being shut down.

That's right - shut down!  That means years of hard work and life savings put into a venture can go up in smoke because of an artificially-contrived standard that itself is  in complete violation of the United States Constitution.  What have we come to, in this country?  Yet there are a gazillion of these progressive lemmings in what is laughingly referred to as "The Free State" waxing gleeful and self-righteous about this ever-increasing governmental encroachment into our lives.

And, as we see in the previous post, they progressives/socialists, led by their Poster Couple, want more!

Boys and girls, can we all say "Sieg Heil!" ?
