Gay Pride Mass Met With Prayer And Resistance

As mentioned in my previous posts, a "pride Mass" occurred at 5:30 this evening at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington DC (Georgetown neighborhood).  I was there and took the video and pictures that you'll see below (apologies for the choppiness of the video). In total, about 25-30 Catholics were gathered across the street from the Church to pray.  LifeSiteNews was also there, recording the event.  I will post their articles as they are made available.  In the meantime, they published a statement from Archbishop Vigano wherein he takes Cardinal Gregory to task for his promotion of homosexuality.

Two days ago I placed a call to Cardinal Gregory's office at the Archdiocese of Washington.  Naturally no human being answered the phone so I had to leave a voice mail, leaving my phone number and asking for a reply.  Of course I knew that reply would never come, but I extended them the opportunity to do so.  I suspect I am not the only one to have called.  One lady who herself suffers from same-sex attraction placed a public tweet asking the Cardinal to have that Mass canceled.  She added that she doesn't celebrate the sin, but rather, her repentance and return to the Church.  Of course she too was denied the courtesy of a reply.  I commend Ms. Howell for speaking boldly on the matter.

The Daily Signal likewise looked askance upon Cardinal Gregory's silence on the matter, believing that silence implies consent.  I believe they are correct.  Recall that when Cardinal Gregory first took the helm at this Archdiocese, one of his first talks was to archdiocesan youth; therein he extolled praises to Fortunate Families, a gay-affirming cabal.  The Signal quoted the statement from Trinity's pastor regarding the Mass.  That statement made mention of "transforming lives".  Well, how are they transformed?  Given the "public displays of affection" that I got on video this evening, on the steps of the Church (you'll see them below), I'd say the transformation would lead them straight to hell.

My video now appears, and below that will be the pictures of the two pervert couples, obviously unrepentant, going to the Mass and most likely receiving Communion.  It dawns on me that the celebrant of that Mass may, owing to his obvious dissidence, may lack the proper intention to perform the consecration, rendering that Mass invalid.  Would any theologians reading this care to comment?  For the sake of those attending that Mass, I hope I am correct for they'd be spared the guilt of one less sacrilegious Holy Communion.

Here's the first picture, to the right.  These are two guys.  The one on the left had been waiting for his sodomite partner.  In the video, you see him chatting with someone else at the 0:32 marker, before the other one arrives.  After this, uhh, "enthusiastic greeting", they went into the church.

At the 2:08 mark, we see the lesbians arrive.  Just before they started up the steps, they noticed us across the street.  It certainly seemed that we made them uncomfortable, but they continued to hold hands as the guard ushered them into the church.

Update On The Two Baltimore Activists Assaulted Last Week

Just one week ago, two Baltimore pro-life activists were assaulted outside a Planned Parenthood abortuary in downtown Baltimore.  One of them was seriously injured.

The Fake Sister Lucy - And Why It Matters

After the Fatima apparitions, the children said that Our Lady confided three secrets to them and that they were to be announced no later than 1960.  Moreover, the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart was supposed to be done by the pope as soon as possible but no later than 1960.  To date, neither has happened.  Ironically, Francis is the one who has come closest to fulfilling the consecration request in that he explicitly mention Russia by name, but he did not order the bishops to join him in the consecration (a number of them did, though, on their own initiative).

In the middle of the 20th century, Sister Lucia stated several times that Our Lady was displeased at the delay in fulfilling her requests.  Then, in the 1980s, after John Paul II consecrated the world - not mentioning Russia by name - to her Immaculate Heart, Sister Lucia was quoted as saying that this consecration fulfilled Our Lady's request.  That is, of course, a flat-out lie.  Our Lady was quite specific when she said that Russia must be consecrated.  She singled out Russia, and the consecration should have done the same.  I had always hypothesized that Sister Lucia was being misquoted by bad-actor bishops and that may indeed be the case.  Now that some are coming forth with evidence that the Lucy that we've been seeing for the past few decades may be an imposter, we can reasonably entertain the possibility that this bogus Lucy did claim that John Paul's consecration was according to Our Lady's stipulations.

Think of it.  This woman, if she was an imposter, was lying anyway.  Why would she have any compunctions regarding her false claim?  For that matter, her claim regarding the third secret is probably also a lie and we still aren't being told the full story, contrary to Our Lady's wishes.  I post three videos below and ask that you watch these closely.  I will have more commentary below them.

In the Lifesite clip, Dr Chojnowski mentioned (the real) Sister Lucy's insistence that the third secret be announced no later than 1960 or the time of her death.  However, in a 1993 interview, the imposter said that the secret was not to be released.  This is at the 29:03 mark of the video.

Not only do we have a clear contradiction, but perhaps we have here a motive for replacing Sister Lucy with an imposter.  During much of the 1950s, Pius XII was pope.  Aside from his own faulty consecration (he mentioned Russia but did not involve the bishops) he seemed ready to obey the Fatima message, meaning that he would have released the third secret in compliance with those deadlines.  I am now hypothesizing, but perhaps the real Sister Lucy passed away in the 1950s.  To prevent the pope from revealing the Third Secret, is it possible that the masons in the Vatican coughed up a scheme to present a phony Lucy so Pius would not believe it incumbent to reveal the Third Secret?

Perhaps several popes were deceived by her.  She was cloistered and not seen frequently.  Pope John XXIII still could not have been held blameless as 1960 happened during his pontificate.  Again, this is just a theory, but it sounds more humane than if the masons actually harmed the real Sister Lucy.

At any rate, it seems to be the case that what we have here is a brazen attempt to thwart the intentions of the Mother of God, and of Our Lord Himself.  If nothing else, it shows that the masons believe in the spiritual ramifications of the Fatima message; why else would they work so feverishly to thwart it?  And no, it wasn't just mere fear of insulting the Soviet Union.  They knew what they were doing - engaging in yet another attempt to undermine Holy Mother Church.

So how have they gotten by with this scam for so long?  There are a multiple of factors.

• Catholics today, even well-meaning Catholics, are simply ignorant of both Church teaching and Church history.  In this day and age, with the internet at our disposal, such ignorance is inexcusable.  I would recommend some serious reading and study.  For details about Fatima, read accounts dated 1950-ish or older.  Compare that with what the imposter said.
• Well-meaning Catholics are way too naïve regarding clergy and other leaders.  One would think that the sex scandals might have knocked off some rose-colored glasses but for too many, that has not been the case.  There is evil in the Church, even in the Vatican itself.  Wake up

Above all, pray and  frequently avail yourselves of the Sacraments.  Go to a Traditional Latin Mass if at all possible.  Pray your Rosaries daily and wear the brown scapular.  Practice the Five First Saturday devotions, as requested by Our Lady of Fatima.  Pray for a pope who will consecrate Russia exactly as she stipulated and who will reveal the Third Secret.  We are in a time of chastisement (in case you haven't noticed) and it will worsen, barring a direct intervention from God.  We don't have time to waste.

The SSPX - Preservers Of The Holy Mass

Bishop Athanasius Schneider was recently in the country.  I had the opportunity to hear him in person a few weeks ago, and I might elaborate on that in another post.  For now, I'll post a LifeSiteNews summary of things that he stated regarding the SSPX.  First I'll post my own comments about the SSPX.

In the early days of the pandemic shutdown (spring of 2020), all the Catholic churches in the area were locked.  No one could go to Mass in person and no one could receive actual Holy Communion.  This was by order of the bishops, an order that actually exceeded the already-draconian measures demanded by the governments.  Only the SSPX offered in-person Mass, with the opportunity to physically receive Holy Communion.  Mind you, these were the "parking lot" Masses where we had to remain in our cars, but at least we were present for Mass and could receive Our Lord.  I had to drive 2-3 hours each way, but it was well worth the time and effort.  Without the SSPX I and others would have been starved of the Eucharist.  If things ever get nutty again, I will attend SSPX masses in a heartbeat.

Now for the LifeSite piece, and I especially recommend this to those who insist on claiming that the SSPX is schismatic and that I and others are guilty of schism or other such nonsense.

Left-Wing Bloggers Are Reacting To Uncensored Truth

The Catholic left-wing mainstream media are bunching their undies over the fact that  their monopolistic stranglehold  over the flow of information to faithful Catholics has been broken.  They cite specifically LifeSiteNews, Church Militant, and Crisis magazine.  Frankly I think that we  smaller bloggers have had our hand in this too, and I find it curious that they omit mention of George Neumayr.

WherePeterIs.com is a site run by one such left-winger, Mike Lewis.  In his post yesterday, he comments on an article  by Michael Sean Winters, in which Winters plays Chicken Little by accusing us of fomenting schism.  Apparently Winters is suggesting that the bishops, in their November USCCB meeting, address the all-important question of "to what degree are the seeds of a de facto schism being sown within the U.S. church?"

So that is what he suggests should be the diversion main question instead of minor matters such as:

• "How many of us in this USCCB meeting need to resign yesterday over our coverups and even personal commissions of homosexual rapes?"
• "How will we bring fidelity and discipline back to  the celebration of the Sacraments?"
• "What steps will we take to begin immediate obedience to Canon 915?"

But those things are such trivialities, you see?  They don't amount to a hill of beans comparied to facilitation of border crashing, governmental gun-grabs from decent people, climate change (more on this later), etc.

So this Mike Lewis doesn't like us mean old "extremists" spouting "dangerous narratives".  Let's take a look at Mr Lewis.  His bio sketch at the end of his site indicates Maryland residence - not too surprising.  Looking at his Linkedin profile, we see that he's Director of Operations at Catholic Climate Covenant.  He appears to be relatively new at that organization so he wasn't there when I and other "extremists" exposed their shenanigans.  Maybe had he looked at what we said, he might have had cause to pause.  But maybe they were right up his ally anyway.  Lewis is also a frequent guest on Mark Shea's radio program.  Mark Shea is another left-leaning pundit who has from time to time had hissy-snits to hurl our way, with language that some could call "colorful".  I refuse to link to his stuff for Patheos pays its bloggers according to the click counts accumulated by the sites.

We are getting their attention; that is why we are seeing all the temper tantrums.  We can surmise that others of good will are being given food for thought as well.

Why So Many Of Us Write As We Do

John-Henry Weston, co-founder of LifeSiteNews, explains why LifeSiteNews reports on the malfeasances emanating from Pope Francis and his Vatican and episcopal cronies.  We need to wake up our fellow Catholics and pray for restoration of our Church.  To do both effectively, we must be informed even when that information is painful to assimilate.

Catholic Activists Save Theological College From Father Martin

Two months ago I posted that Jesuit heretic Father James Martin was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a symposium being conducted by Washington Theological College.  In that post, you'll see that commenter "kiwiinamerica" lamented that Martin would probably never be disinvited.  At the time, his/her doubts were well-founded.  He/she can now rejoice for now Martin is disinvited, thanks be to God.

Left-wing rags are wailing and bemoaning Martin's well-deserved comeuppance.  Take a look at this whiny pout from the Not-At-All-Catholic Reporter.  They interviewed Martin, who puts the blame on "far-right church websites such as Church Militant, LifeSiteNews and the blog run by Father Zuhlsdorf".  Of course those sites also include many other blogs run by faithful Catholics - such as this one.  I'll have more to say on this point later in the post.

Church Militant has some more details.  Not only was Martin dumped from the Theological College event, but he was also axed as a speaker for a gala to be held by the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre.  In that situation, their leadership faced backlash from outraged knights.  Martin himself snivels and pouts about the cancellations on his facebook and twitter pages.

Despite the "poor widdle me" tripe that Martin exudes on his pages, the record tells the story of his attempt to normalize the mortal sin of sodomy.  In this clip he actually calls for "reverence" of sinful situations.  Note that his gay friend, who thinks he's "married" to his accomplice in sin, is the chair of the theology department at Fordham University.  Both he and Martin, unless they repent and confess their sins, will be accountable for leading many young souls down a path to perdition.  For clarification on that point, I now link to a piece by Msgr Charles Pope that summarizes Christ's teachings on homosexual conduct.

When I wrote my piece two months ago, I too didn't think there was much chance that Martin would be disinvited from the symposium, seeing how he enjoys the favor of both Pope Francis and Cardinal Wuerl.  In retrospect I believe there were several factors, and some lessons we can learn in combating similar threats to Church integrity that will present themselves in the future.  I'll list them in "bullet" format.

• Prayer for God's protection  Nothing of this sort can happen without God's grace.  We must continue to pray.  Frequent the sacraments and pray the Rosary daily.  Mention these threats by name when you pray.
• Social media  Martin himself alluded to that as he blamed "far right sites" for stopping his appearances.  Please watch not only the sites he mentioned but smaller sites as well.  Often it is the smaller sites that will carry news pertaining to their localities; these also deserve the attention of faithful Catholics local to those areas.  The mainstream media (including diocesan publications and faux-katholic liberal rags) are not reliable sources of information.  Of course when you see topics such as these, pass them along your own social sites and email lists.
• Action It is critical that when we are notified of these situations, that we not only pray but we must act as well.  Such action will include:
• Phone calls  Martin specifically blamed phone calls to Theological College as a primary cause for his ejection from the symposium.  If you called to protest his planned appearance, you share the credit just as much as any one of us bloggers.
• Boycotts I'd suspect that many callers to CU made plain that if Martin did appear, that they'd never contribute anymore to them.  Sometimes money talks louder than Catholic duty, so let's not be reticent about using that language.
• Protests/pickets One of my facebook friends, when she learned of the cancellation, remarked that she now "had the day off".  She was planning to protest the appearance.  Even the possibility of a protest is a strong deterrent to misbehavior.

Make no mistake about this.  The Theological College did not cancel Martin because they suddenly remembered that they were Catholics.  Far from it.  Take a look at their announcement below; they make plain why they earned the nickname "theological closet".  They cancelled because we behaved like the Church Militant (not the site) that we are.  Let's take heart from this and remember, for these situations will crop up again - although they might crop up with less frequency now.

Pope Once Again Trashes Faithful Catholics

Yesterday the Pope addressed the Congress of the International Forum of Catholic Action in Rome.  He took the occasion to lob insults at those of us who adhere to the Traditions of the Church, as promulgated by Christ Himself and obeyed by Saints (known and unknown) these last twenty centuries.

He groused at the notion of "proselytism", equating it with coercion.  Of course he contradicted one of the last commands that Christ gave to His apostles just before He ascended, to "make disciples of all the nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, teach them to carry out everything I have commanded you".  I urge you to read the LifeSiteNews link along with its related links as I haven't time nor stomach to rehash all the nonsense.

I will comment on one choice phrase.  He said, "you cannot be more restrictive than the Church herself".  Is that what he thinks of the teachings of Christ Himself with regards to faith and morals?  "Restrictive"?   Then he says "you cannot be more papist than the pope".  If he is trying to intimate that our level of fidelity to Holy Mother Church shouldn't exceed his own, he's gravely mistaken.  Ladies and gentlemen, we all have the solemn duty to ensure that each and every facet of our lives is in conformity with Church teaching.  Our very salvation depends on it.  I say the following in all sincerity.  If we content ourselves to live our faith in conformity with the haphazard blatherings that the pope has put forth, we may place our souls in jeopardy.

Amoralis Lamentia Defenders Demonstrate The Necessity For The Dubia

Last Friday I alluded to facebook discussions in which I'm currently embroiled.  Many of the participants are of the mindset that: 1) no doing or saying of the pope can ever be subject to scrutiny and debate and (even more troubling) 2) if the current pontiff says anything then it must be blindly accepted regardless of the Teachings of the Church promulgated before the current papacy.

Such is the discussion regarding Amoris Laetitia.  On the one hand, they state that of course all must read AL in light of Church teaching.  Then in the next breath they say, "the pope is opening the doors for mercy", "the priest can act as a tribunal and proclaim a marriage dissolved", "not all situations fit into the rules", etc.  Doesn't that first one make you wonder just what "doors for mercy" have been closed these previous 2000 years of Church history?  Anyway, they are inadvertently providing clear evidence of why the dubia need to be answered.  They are infected with the very confusion that Cardinal Burke et al are trying to prevent - confusion that can actually lead to the damnation of immortal souls.  Below I post an interview given by Cardinal Arinze, during which he points out that no one may change Divine law.

How Pope Francis's Defenders Harm The Church

LifeSiteNews yesterday released a piece by one of its founders, John Henry Weston.  In it he states that it is no longer possible to pretend that all is well with this papacy and that the pope is "simply misunderstood".  He cites examples of very troubling - and incriminating - episodes that have occurred.  A few years ago one of my blogging colleagues penned a piece called "The Pope Francis Little Book Of Insults".  Of course this blog has been highlighting a few - the latest one being the post preceding this one.

Some Catholics still refuse to admit the truth.  One recently quipped that we "like to dig up some doozies".  Well, they are doozies, but we don't have to "dig them up".  They spew forth from the Vatican with great frequency and aplomb.  They cannot be missed except by those who refuse to see and acknowledge the truth.  Ironically, such willful blindness prevents them from intelligently praying for the Church.  We must be aware of the dire situation and not be afraid to admit it as such.  While we pray for the Church and the pope, we must also work to mitigate the harmful effects of the poison that emanates from the Vatican with the apparent approval (if not initiative) from the pope.  Those who deny that harm exists cannot and indeed will not protect those in their charges from spiritual dangers.  In addition to praying for the pope and speaking out, let us also pray for those who insist on wearing rose-colored glasses for they may be their own worst enemies.

Reign Of Terror In The Vatican

Steve Jalsevac, one of the founders of LifeSiteNews, published yesterday a piece in which he details the horror that the Vatican has become under this pontificate.   He quotes from first-hand sources who must remain anonymous for obvious reasons.  I've heard similar stories about the climate at the DC chancery; as the case with Jalsevac, I'm not at liberty to divulge my sources.  I link to the article now and urge you to read it.  How anyone can continue to pretend that all is sweetness and light with this pontificate is beyond the comprehension of any sane person.

Plea To The Pope

Many thanks to LifeSiteNews for releasing this video presentation.  Here we see several respected Catholic and pro-life leaders throughout the world respectfully yet unambiguously asking the Pope to cease causing scandal and confusion and to live up to his sacred charge.  Several of them also beseech the Pope to withdraw Amoris Laetitia.  With no further ado, here is the full-length "Plea To The Pope".

Thoughts On Why Amoris Laetitia Undermines The Faith

Not being one to "reinvent the wheel" I'm going to link to some excellent commentaries on Amoris Laetitia and post an interview conducted by Raymond Arroyo of EWTN.  Here they are.

• This is an analysis of Chapter 8 found in Catholic World Report by Eduardo Echeverria, comparing it with Veritatis Splendor by Pope Saint John Paul II.
• Christopher Ferrera wrote "Amoris Laetitia: Anatomy Of A Pontifical Debacle".  It is a thorough analysis of AL.  Because AL is long, this is fairly long too, but well worth the read.
• LifeSiteNews reports that Pope Francis doesn't remember Footnote 351.  However, his remarks during that plane ride from Greece indicate that he was at least aware of the controversy contained therein.  Does he suffer from "Clinton Amnesia Syndrome"?  At any rate, the buck stops at his desk.  He owns it.  It is his responsibility, not that of some Vatican bureaucrat.

Before I post the Arroyo interview, I'll urge everyone again to read Amoris Laetitia for themselves.  Educate yourselves as to what is proceeding from this pontificate.  If you care about your loved ones and their souls, it is your responsibility to educate yourselves.  I realize the tone of my suggestion may seem rather strong, but I've been reading/hearing too many suggestions that "the ordinary Catholic" need not read AL.  Such suggestions are both irresponsible and condescending and should be utterly rejected outright.

Why The Vatican Light Show Was Utterly Evil

LifeSiteNews published a piece that analyzes in great detail the sinister symbolism used in the Vatican Light Show Debacle on December 8th.  As I stated last Thursday, I immediately recognized the new age influences in the music and noise.  However, when I watched the videos embedded in the LifeSite piece, I realized that I didn't grasp half of the evil that was contained in that horror show.

To think that Vatican officials - including the pope - were responsible for allowing this satanic sacrilege to besmirch St. Peter's Basilica is distressing.  Please read the article and watch the videos.  Then resolve to work and pray for the restoration of Holy Mother Church.

The Proclamation Of Truth Evokes Violent Reactions From Progressives

At a conference in Canada on June 5th, Cardinal Burke addressed the attendees on the crisis that western culture is facing.  LifeSiteNews has made the video available.  I post it now and have additional remarks below that.



The Cardinal gave very clear and succinct remarks about how the role of sexuality within marriage as God ordained it is crucial to the survival of civilization.   Perhaps it is that clarity that evoked quite the rage from Father Andre Samson, a priest from Ottawa who identifies himself as "gay".  See the LifeSiteNews piece and that of Vox Cantoris.  Samson called His Eminence a "clown" and "drag queen".

He went on to say that the Cardinal's defense of Catholic morality was "violent" to homosexuals. As I listened to the Cardinal's mild-mannered, measured delivery of his message, "violent" was the last thing that came to mind.  But Samson admitted more than he realized.  Those steeped in sin, particularly unrepented mortal sin, will experience pangs of conscience when they hear the truth.  Either they will embrace it and repent, or they will recoil in horror from it and continue with hardened hearts.  If the latter, they will always react violently and irrationally towards the truth, for they would rather be self-deluded as they careen towards hell.  They consider those telling the truth to be "mean" and "violent" for we upset the bubbles with which they attempt to surround themselves.  I alluded to one instance that I myself experienced in yesterday's post.  As this culture continues to degrade, more and more people who embrace filth and perversion will resent mightily those who tell them the truth; witness what happening with Christian businesses who won't affirm the mortal sins of gays.

We must continue to pray and of course we must redouble our proclamation of truth.  If the progressives shriek and recoil in reaction, keep at it.

Affirming Children's Rights To Their Mothers And Fathers

This coming Friday, March 27th at 7:30pm, a group of scholars and authors - all raised by same-sex couples - will be giving a presentation on the topic cited in this post's title.  It will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Bethesda Maryland.  See the flyer at the left for details.

These authors are currently in town and will be filing amicus curiae briefs on Thursday as the Supreme Court hears a case regarding this very topic.  Recently, LifeSiteNews featured a letter by these authors to Dolce and Gabbana, gay fashion designers, for their defense of true marriage.

By the way - when speaking of this matter, I've used the term "traditional marriage".  Henceforth I will use the term "true marriage" to describe the authentic lifelong union of one biological man and one biological woman.  Any attempt to mutate the definition of marriage outside those parameters is both ridiculous and dishonest.  There is "true marriage" and then there are various manners of cheap counterfeits.

Vatican Spokesman Suing Faithful Catholic Blogger

My blogging colleague Vox Cantoris has been targeted by Father Thomas Rosica, Vatican spokesman.  Within the linked post you can see another link that is a pdf of the letter he received from Rosica's attorneys.  Take a look at it and you can see that Rosica doesn't like it when his public statements draw comments that aren't favorable to him.  The whole list of grievances reads like a big temper tantrum.

Here's a post from Vox that probably knotted his knickers.  Notice the picture of a tweet that Rosica sent.  A reasonable person might conclude that Rosica agreed with the depiction of Cardinal Burke as a "dissenter" (the word "dissenter" being redefined by Cardinal Wuerl).   Yoo, hoo!  Father Rosica!  Here's a fact that you'll do well to learn: when you make a public statement, you invite public comment!  If those comments are going to hurt your poor widdle feel-bads, you'd do best not to put them out there until you grow up a bit!

I'm also a bit bemused by what appears to be a double-standard being exercised by Rosica.  His lawyers are carrying on about "defamatory statements" and "damage to reputation".  Father Rosica (and lawyers), what about these statements that Rosica lodged against LifeSiteNews several years ago, voicing publicly his opinions that LifeSiteNews is:

• "not ethical"
• "not honest"
• "bombastic"
• "not credible"
• "doing the work of Satan"

So Rosica can voice his opinions against a faithful Catholic outlet, but let another Catholic outlet voice their opinions about his public conduct - and he tries to break out the long knives?  I fail to see how this is proper conduct for a person involved in the media, let alone a Catholic priest.

In that incident with LifeSiteNews, Rosica trash-talked LSN in the same breath that he used to call for "civility, charity, kindness and humanity".  I now believe that was a tactic to try to stifle LSN.  That didn't work so now he's going the legal route.  That won't work, either.  We will speak the truth.
