Two Signs Of Gay-Coddling Sacrilege To Come?

SIGN #1!

Today, when I went to the USCCB site to look up something else, this was on their main page

As you can see, they originally published that release more than a year ago.  So why, oh why, are they resurrecting it?  Are they trying to prepare us for these "blessings" to happen in our churches?

Consider that this appears just as Cardinal McElroy is making his presence known as the new Archbishop of Washington.  He is infamous as being unabashedly sympathetic to the gay lifestyle, going so far as to intimate that sodomy is not inherently sinful.  If some question that link as coming from a conservative source, consider that the Washington Blade waxes gleeful over McElroy's appointment here.

McElroy will be installed as prelate on March 11.  How long will it be after that before such "blessings", that is, actual cooperation with the mortal sin of sodomy, be expected of parish pastors?  What are we as Catholics in the pews going to do about it?  If we remain silent out of fear, we will be complicit in that sin.

SIGN #2!

On January 22, Cardinal Gregory attended and gave a talk at a "prayer service" held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown (We've heard about them before, haven't we?) for the LGBTQ "community".  A number of sources chortled about it, but Outreach carried the full text of Gregory's screed.  In a nutshell, he apologized to the gays on supposed behalf of the Church for the times when the Church was faithful to Christ's teachings on sexuality and marriage.  Gregory pulled a similar stunt at Georgetown University last August.  That's twice in one year that Gregory has groveled before those flaunting mortal sin.  A reasonable person could assume that Gregory is condoning and even applauding their perversions.

This Catholic denounces both the USCCB and Cardinal Gregory for capitulating to those in mortal sin, paving the way for even more depravity.  We certainly do pray for them, for we all must face Our Lord at the moments of our deaths.  We also suggest that faithful Catholics withhold all donations to the Archdiocese and let them know why.

Kissy-Face's Lame Attempt At Damage Control

Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, aka Kissy-Face, issued yesterday what he claims to be a "clarification" of Fiducia Supplicans.  In reality, it seems nothing more than a lame attempt to throw smoke and dust into the eyes of those who clearly see the diabolical nature of the screed.

Look at section 4 of that letter.  The "theological reflection" as he calls FS, is, according to him, "a real development from what has been said about blessings in the Magisterium and the official texts of the Church".  Substitute the word "divergence" for "development" and you have a halfway-true statement.  Then he said that "the text requires an effort to think serenely, with the heart of shepherds, free from all ideology."  Italics mine.  Let's unpack that double-speak, shall we?  What is meant by "ideology" in this context is the doctrines and dogmas of the Church as handed down through the centuries, because they ultimately come from God Himself.  By the way - Kissy Face should be delighted to know that there is a place that is free of all that "ideology".  It's called hell.

He goes on to betray his disdain for the Church's teaching by saying that Francis "proposed that we think of a way of blessing that does not require the placing of so many conditions to carry out this simple gesture of pastoral closeness, which is a means of promoting openness to God in the midst of the most diverse circumstances."   These conditions are the moral teachings of the Church.  How can a desire to be free of those not be its own serious sin?   Now substitute for the phrase "most diverse circumstances" the more accurate phrase "inherently sinful situations".

As we all know by now, entire bishops' conferences and religious orders see FS for the cow plop that it is and are refusing to implement it.  So now in section 5 the arm-twisting of these clerics is underway.  In section 5, of these so-called "blessings" he says, "we are talking about something that last about 10 or 15 seconds.  Does it make sense to deny these kinds of blessings to these two people who ask for them?"  Ladies and gentlemen, when have you ever seen this kind of pouting and whining in a Church document?  What difference does it make that this act of cooperating with sin lasts only a few seconds?  Most murders take about the same amount of time.

I have neither time nor stomach to analyze this entire tome.  GloriaTV has done a nice job, as has Peter Kwasniewski in Crisis Magazine.  I will say this, though.  I dubbed Cardinal Fernandez "Kissy Face" because of that less-than-theological masterpiece (cough!) that he wrote called "Heal Me With Your Mouth - The Art Of Kissing".  After wading both through Fiducia Supplicans and this pig-slop of a "clarification", I'm glad that I didn't subject myself to the torture of reading that book.

Fiducia Supplicans - Where Do Our Clergy Stand?

If there is any silver lining to the stinking, foggy cloud known as Supplicans Fiducia, it's that more and more people are acknowledging this papacy to be the unmitigated disaster that it is.  Over these past few days we've been hearing accounts of various dioceses and religious orders stating emphatically that they will not permit their priests to bless sinful unions of any sort, with some rejecting Fiducia Supplicans in its entirety.  Conversely we've been hearing of others who wax giddy about the prospect of priests greasing the skids of those headed to hell.

LifeSite News has been collecting these accounts and has published their summary.  For obvious reasons that summary remains a work in progress.  Therefore, keep checking that post for updates.

If you are in one of the questionable locales, as I am, consider what you will do if you should become aware of a planned "blessing of irregular couples".  That will be the sin of blasphemy and cannot go unopposed by faithful Catholics.

Using The Papal Office To Normalize Mortal Sins Via Sacrilege

Francis today issued a mess called Fiducia Supplicans - a rather verbose attempt to legitimize the blessings of same-sex shack-ups.  I linked to the English version on the Vatican's website.  Read it for yourselves - the whole thing.  I realize it's a bit of a word salad, but that appears to be his favorite strategy - bury the poison pill in the midst of a multitude of pious-sounding platitudes.

The preface of this tome is written by none other than Cardinal "Kissy-Face" Fernandez.  He yaps about the "development" of the "pastoral meaning of blessings".  Notice those two words: development and pastoral.  It's like they are saying that for the past 2000+ years, the Church's understanding of blessings was woefully lacking.

Then the screed mentions "irregular unions" quite a few times.  Irregular?  Try "mortally sinful".  Paragraphs 31 and 32 mentions those who "recognize themselves to be destitute and in need of his (God's) help" and "who do not claim to be righteous but who acknowledge themselves humbly as sinners."  Those people, if they are sincere, will immediately repair to the nearest confessional and receive the Sacrament of Confession with the intentions of ceasing their sexual perversions and removing themselves from the near occasion of sin - that is, their sinful situations.  This is not rocket science.  We learned this in second grade as we were preparing to go to Confession for the first time.

Those who persist in "popesplaining" need to consider what was said above instead of trying to fabricate some meaning out of "blessing" that justifies this tome's proposition that gay shack-ups be blessed.  Another crucial lesson in moral theology is understanding the nine ways that one can cooperate in another's mortal sin, and thus share the guilt and punishment of that mortal sin.  I just linked to them.  This is not the first time that Francis has tried to normalize mortal sin.

The USCCB issued its own commentary regarding the FS slop.  The last sentence mentions "the imparting of pastoral blessings because each of us needs God's healing love and mercy in our lives."  Again, that is to be found primarily in the Sacrament of Confession.  Isn't it telling that this "Fiddlefaddle Soup" screed utters not one peep about the Sacrament of Confession?  It's not hard to figure out why.  In order to receive God's authentic mercy, one must actually be contrite and have a firm resolve to not fall into that sin again.  This "fiddle-faddle" thing is taylor-made for those who have no intention of forsaking their perversions, even if it means damnation in the next life.  The perverts might not be alone in their damnation.  That statement isn't a judgment, but rather a warning.

The German Catholic Church - Into The Pits, Or The Groove?

We see some of the rotten fruits of "synodality" as the German bishops vote to "bless" same-sex shack-ups.   The word "blessed" is in quotes for in reality sinful acts cannot be blessed by any stretch of the imagination.  These errant bishops are also tinkering with the ideas of women "priests" and whether or not clergy should be celibate.  Now it remains to be seen whether or not Francis, who today celebrates 10 years after he took over the chair of Peter, will do anything about it.  Will he be at least as decisive with this cabal as he was so quick to throttle the Mass of the Ages?  I regret we know the answer to that.

Not to be outdone by their superiors, some of the German clergy are joining in on the mockery of their priestly vows and dignity.  I don't know the name or precise location of this priest and parish.  He decided to deliver a homily by rapping it - complete with chain and skewed cap.  In other words, he's behaving like an adolescent jackass.  Observe...

Gay-Enabling Prelates Must Be Resisted

Much of the media (not just Catholic outlets) have been ablaze with the news of what Pope Francis said to Juan Carlos Cruz, one of the child victims of gay-priest pedophiles in Chile.  The young man is now himself gay, but the pope said to him "God made you gay and loves you like this".  There are doubts regarding the veracity of this statement.  However, given the silence of the Vatican Press Office and other (mis)deeds committed by the pope in relation to gays (see this piece by Doug Mainwaring of LifeSiteNews), I've no reason to doubt the accuracy of Cruz's account of the conversation.

Cardinal Dolan has chimed in on the matter, going so far as to claim of the pope's affirmation of mortal sin that "Jesus could have said that".  So he compounds the pope's blasphemy with his own.  In today's Vortex, Michael Voris comments this latest nonsense from Dolan.  He speculates that Dolan may have fallen out of grace a bit with the progressives in the Vatican and that one of Dolan's aims with his statement was to brown-nose his way back into their favor.  Voris goes into a list of Dolan's dalliances with gays, but even that list isn't complete.  Below the Vortex I'll supply some more.  These make me believe that when it comes to smooching up to gays, that the Vatican bigwigs have nothing over Dolan.

In addition to what Voris said, Dolan has allowed parishes to host "pre-pride masses", approved the "coming-out" of a gay athlete on television, set not a peep in Kim Davis' defense, etc.  Now comes word (ht Joseph Sciambra) that St. Francis de Sales Church in NYC not only has a LGBT "ministry" (in other words, a pervert dating service), but that this "ministry" is led by a flamboyantly promiscuous drag queen; see the parish website.  Wanna bet that this guy will retain his position?

So much for Cardinal Dolan leading New York Catholics to hell with his dissidence.  Let's hear from some prelates who aren't afraid to speak truth to the agenda of perversion.  Two weeks ago, at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC, Cardinal Sarah stated plainly that the gay agenda is a demonic attack on the family.  Meanwhile, Bishop Athanasius Scheider gave an interview to One Peter Five.  He commented on many topics and I'd suggest you read the whole thing.  He touched upon the question of priests "blessing" gay shack-ups.  He stated that any priest who dared to do so would be committing a sin that's even greater than the one being committed by the gays being "blessed" - or more accurately cursed.  Think about that.  The priests so doing are not only lulling the perverts towards deadened consciences and eventual damnation (if they don't repent before death), but they are committing sacrilege against one of the Seven Sacraments.  They are misrepresenting the Church and Jesus Christ Himself.  These sins, by the way, are precisely what Father Guarnizo avoided six years ago.  Conversely, the sins of misrepresenting the Church are precisely what Bishop Knestout committed when he extended to Barbara Johnson that wretched apology.

Now consider this.  In Oregon, a Catholic parish is being sued for refusing to host an LGBT event in one of its facilities.  This episode occurred over three years ago but they are just now filing suit.  This is not unlike the situation in Indiana when a KofC council allowed two lesbians to hold their "wedding reception" for absolutely no charge.  Then-archbishop Joseph Tobin was in charge and did absolutely nothing to stop it.  In light of his recent advancement to Cardinal under Pope Francis, one might wonder if he actually ordered that capitulation to the lesbians.

Now some questions are before us and we need to answer them before we find these situation in our own parishes: especially if these parishes cower before perverts, threatening the sanctity of our Churches.  Are we prepared to offer resistance?  No, I don't mean merely praying the Rosary in some location away from the travesty.  I mean are we prepared to offer what could be called "civil disobedience" in order to stand with our outraged Lord?
