When Good And Evil Are Confused..

These two incidents occurred in England, which is probably just a little further down the moral decline than are we.  However, the United States isn't that far behind.

A woman had a baby out of wedlock.  She gave birth at home and immediately strangled the poor baby girl.  Rather than jail the woman for murder, the judge lets loose with a bunch of psychobabble, literally excusing the murder of a defenseless baby.  I remember when Roe v Wade occurred.  Pro-lifers were mocked by pro-aborts when we voiced apprehension about infanticide.  Our fears have come to pass and the pro-baby murder people could not care less.

Elsewhere a gay teenager asked a Christian preacher what he believed about homosexuality.  For the high crime and misdemeanor of giving an honest response to a question, he was arrested on charge of a hate crime.  Fortunately the judge threw out the case; it was an obvious example of entrapment.

I cite these to demonstrate that on the one hand a woman who admitted to murdering her own newborn is let go, while a Christian who preaches the truth is jailed for so doing.  This is happening in England; it could soon happen here.  Had Clinton won in November, I think we'd be racing towards that state of affairs.  We dodged a bullet in November and were granted a little bit more time to turn things around.  While there are good signs from Washington, the bulk of the work in that regards will be the responsibility of each and every one of us.  Ora et labora.

Hate Speech From Christo-phobic Bigots

One such bigot is a liberal talk-show host named Mike Malloy who went into a tizzy on his show Thursday against Pat Robertson, demanding that Roberston "go home to Jesus".  He also went on to call Christianity "a silly, stupid, destructive religion".  Examiner.com has other tid-bits of hate speech that have spewed from Malloy's mouth over the months.

Obviously Malloy has his First Amendment rights.  I'm not going to advocate any restriction on his right to vent his spleen - unlike some who are seeking to encroach upon the First Amendment rights of Christians who uphold Godly morals.  But I will call a spade a spade.  People like Malloy are bigots - pure and simple.

USCCB Joins Liberal Whine-Fest Over Limbaugh

It appears that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, in its never-ending quest to be politically correct, has signed onto a complaint to the FCC against "hate speech". What "hate speech"? Why, it's the variety that comes from Rush Limbaugh and other conservative talk radio.

The USCCB has jumped onto the bandwagon of a self-styled "national interfaith coaltion for media justice" that calls itself "So We Might See". Notice that they mention Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage by name. The USCCB has its hands full with nuns doing deathscort duty at abortuaries, Catholic colleges teaching heresy and honoring pro-aborts, liturgical abuse everywhere, etc, etc - and they choose to go after talk radio? Might that be because 1) talk radio exposes so much of the USCCB's own malfeasance 2) they want to score brownie points with the liberal money-bag holders and power brokers?

The reasons are probably all of the above, and I'll suggest one more. My fellow bloggers who love Holy Mother Church, they may wish to create the legal precedent to go after us. I wouldn't put anything past this cabal.
