Two Acts Of Blasphemy In Baltimore

This morning, as I walked into Mass, a note was in the vestibule for general distribution.  It is quite self-explanatory, as you can see.  Father took the necessary remedial steps.  He notified all appropriate authorities and took care, via blessings, to repel any spiritual malevolence that were most likely attached to this act.

As I read the note, I could not help but consider that this vandalism happened immediately after news broke of the FBI and their targeting of Traditional Catholics.  The Fraternity of St Peter offers the Traditional Latin Mass, and the other Sacraments in the Tridentine rite.  I simply am not stupid enough to believe that it's just a coincidence that these two acts of persecution occurred so closely to each other.

I can understand why the good priests would not have wanted to cause scandal to young children by repeating the contents of the graffiti. Moreover, it would have been most unbecoming to utter the profanities before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

However, the world at large simply needs to understand the extent of hatred there is for the One True Church.  After Mass, I went around back and captured just what was on the back wall.  I regret the crude profanities, but they are what they are, and we must face it.

Now let me post something that relates to yesterday's post.  It too is blasphemy.

This is workshop number 12 from the Archdiocese of Baltimore gabfest.  Note that there are nine ways in which we can cooperate with the sin of others and thus be culpable of sin ourselves.  In that "workshop" description, we see that attendees will be cajoled into praising and giving consent to sexual perversions.  They will be defending the sin and might even provoke others to the same actions.  In that this is being promoted on an archdiocesan website, ostensibly in the name of the Church and thus God, we have blasphemy.  God can never condone such sin, and these Church representatives blaspheme when they pretend that He will.

I contend that this blasphemy is worse than the graffiti on the wall.  Those who chalked that graffiti did not hold themselves to be Christian.  They seem to be supremely uncatechized and ignorant of the Faith.  Those of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, though, have been (somewhat) taught and possibly ordained.  They must have their feet held to the fire - and we must do it.

When Catholic Officials Order Vaccines, They Command That Sin Be Committed

First, let's look at whether or not Catholic officials are canonically able to order that those under their authority take the Covid vaccines.  Rather than re-invent the wheel, I will link now to an excellent treatment on the subject by Edward Peters on his blog (update - see correction in the comments below).  It's clear from this that when these officials, from bishops down to school principals, try to order those under their authority to take the vaccine, that they overstep the legitimate bounds of their authority.  Church teaching over the years holds that the taking of vaccines must be voluntary.

But is that overstepping the only harm that they commit?  I think not.

The vaccines themselves are causing injury.  See here, here, here,  Most of us know that hospital and other medical workers are being ordered by their various employers to "take the jab".  Consider: if the vaccines were these miraculous substances that Fauci et al are claiming them to be, why are those mandates necessary?  Wouldn't those health-care workers be flocking to the vaccine centers by the droves?  They aren't - quite to the contrary.  See here, here,   The pfizer vaccine is not yet FDA-approved, but only authorized for "emergency use", whatever the hell that means.

The paragraph above illustrates why one would be committing sins of imprudence and against the 5th Commandment by taking the vaccines.  Superseding the gravity of those sins are those sins involving the cooperation with baby-murder.  Here is an anthology of posts dealing with the Church hierarchy's complicity with the vaccine moguls, some of them dealing with the nine ways in which a Catholic can cooperate with the mortal sin of another, thus also incurring the guilt of that mortal sin.  When I wrote this one, the hierarchy had not yet begun to order its employees, students, seminarians, religious, etc to take this vaccine into their bodies.  One can now add "by command" to the list of ways by which bishops et al incur the guilt of cooperating with the mortal sin of baby-murder.

Obviously we must not only resist their urgings to take the vaccine ourselves, but to call out their evil.

Meanwhile, a little story to warm your heart.  Pro-baby-murder, pro-vaccine-mandate, anti-God Justin Trudeau was chased out of a British Columbia town by citizens who have had enough of his draconian policies.  Good for them!

The Newfangled Corona Vaccines - What's In It For The US Hierarchy?

Much of the world is waiting with bated breath for this much-touted "wonderous" vaccine.  They think that once they inject themselves with this miraculous substance, they will once again be freed from their de facto slave masters to live their lives.  They already can live their lives without the permission of the demagogues, if they just grow some backbones, but that's another discussion.

Pfiser and Moderna are the two leading manufacturers of these magic elixirs.  However, the tiny bodies of murdered babies have been used in the development of these things.  They claim that no fetal cells are actually in the vaccines.  True enough, but, BUT, fetal cells have been used in the testing of these potions.  However you slice it, the bodies of murdered children were used in the development of these things.

That doesn't seem to bother the nation's bishops in the least.  Read this latest disgrace to spew forth from the USCCB.  In a nutshell, they are saying, "yeah, we know that there was use of morally compromised cell lines, but the pandemic is so scary and evil that the remote cooperation with baby slaughter is actually an act of charity".  Pity that the aborted children don't seem to register a blip on their radar screens, but I don't think they have for quite some time.

Something, and I think it's lots of money, is inducing these bishops to poo-poo basic Catholic morality.  What they are doing is known as cooperating with sin, and such cooperation, especially when done knowingly and willingly, is a partaking in the guilt of that sin - in this case, the mortal sin of baby-murder.  The Church defines nine ways in which this cooperation can be effected; here is the list.  Take a look at numbers 1 and 7.  The bishops are counseling the faithful to participate in the ill-gotten fruits of the slaughter of babies.

Archbishop Vigano has some pointed words regarding the vaccine and other matters, pointing to their sinister underpinnings. As you read them, you may wish to bear the video from Friday Dec 18th in mind.  Judie Brown of American Life League also has words of wisdom and warning regarding these vaccines.

On many levels, the ingestion of these vaccines would be foolish and sinful.  The testing on these has been rather haphazard and immoral.  Why would one want to accept such a vaccine that has been hastily and immorally produced?  The disease against which it would allegedly protect has a fatality rate of less than 1%, and even those are found mostly in those with other co-morbidities.  Even more insidious is that the usage of them would justify the procurement of slaughtered babies to produce them.

At one time, I might have been inclined to chalk up the bishops' capitulation to these vaccines as simply a lack of moral courage.  While that may be present to some effect, I must conclude, after so many stunts these fellows have pulled, that they are active participants in the promulgation of the vaccine to help facilitate the new world order and perhaps to gain some financial reward.

Addendum:  Here is an enlightening post from my friend and colleague at Les Femmes.  Like her, I too have looked askance at the complete lack of mention of common-sense measures that we can take to increase our natural immunities.  Vitamin supplements, as she noted, are necessary and readily available.  A general proper diet and adequate sleep are also important.  Why, oh why, do we hear - ad infinitum et ad nauseum - about "masks" and "social distance", but nary a peep regarding these measures? Why does hydroxicloroquine remain a taboo topic of discussion?  Could it be precisely because they are cost-effective?

SSPX And Austrilian Bishops - Two Different Errors

A few days ago, while writing about some curmudgeonly "rad-trads", I forgot to mention one of the most egregious - and sinful - things that have spewed out of the mouths of some of them.  As a rule, they attend Mass in the Extraordinary Form, often making great sacrifices to do so.  I too will attend those Masses, but not exclusively.  I understand the impetus, for often at the NO masses, there are attitudes that are way too casual; sometimes it gets worse than that.

However, some take it to sinful extremes.  I was in another facebook discussion with some of them.  They stated that because the NO mass was so bastardized by Vatican II, it cannot be considered a valid Mass.  Therefore, according to them, if one cannot attend an EF mass, one no longer has the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.  For their "authority", they cite this from the SSPX website.  I've often wondered how SSPX could be considered at variance from the Magisterium.  My question has been answered.

Ladies and gentlemen, what the SSPX, or at least its website editor, is advocating is a mortal sin against the Third Commandment.  Unless the priest deviates from the language of the Sacramentary, the consecration, and thus the rest of Mass is to be considered valid.  No one may elect not to attend Mass simply because abuses are occurring therein.  Might I suggest that such absenteeism is its own abuse?  The Third Commandment binds under mortal sin.  Father So-And-So from the SSPX has no authority whatsoever to excuse attendance at Mass, be that Mass ever so unpalatable.

The word "excuse" brings me to another point.  Excuse, or defense of evil done, is one of the nine ways of cooperating with mortal sin.  So is "counsel", such as that evidenced in the SSPX screed.  On the face of things, it seems that this SSPX priest needs to recant and get to confession asap.

Now let's look at what some Austrilian bishops are doing.  They have in fact advocated sin against the First Commandment by falsely stating that Catholics can also be Freemasons.  Besides the fact that Freemasonry is a major player in the desconstruction of our Church, they advocate false beliefs that are antithetical to Christianity.  In that last link is a video going into more detail about Freemasonry.  These bishops are also cooperating with mortal sin, thus incurring guilt attached to that sin.

So what might be the difference between the SSPX and these Austrilian bishops?  Probably not that much.  One the one hand, mortal sin against the Third Commandment is being touted; on the other hand, it's mortal sin against the First Commandment.  Both have the potential of damning a soul to hell.  Both agencies are being duped by the devil into doing his work.  Satan wants Catholics to leave the Church, and he doesn't care whether they exit "stage left" or "stage right".  Let's be wary of either tendency.

Texas Conference Of Catholic Bishops Cooperates Formally With Murder

For reasons that I cannot fathom, Texas hospitals seem all too eager to murder their patients instead of helping them achieve healing.  The latest "case-in-point" revolves around Baby Tinslee Lewis, who was born prematurely and has spent her 10 months at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.  She has had many operations to repair heart defects, lung disease, etc.  Now the hospital has determined that she is beyond "saving" and intend to take her off life support.  The child's family is opposing this intended de facto murder of their child.  Note that this controversy doesn't revolve around medical difficulties as much as it does some arbitrary determination of "quality of life".

As of this writing, this child is benefitting from a reprieve, but that will soon come to an end unless justice intervenes.  Many amicus briefs have been filed from both sides.  The hospital's intention to play God and destroy the child is receiving some surprising and troubling support.  The Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops has filed their brief in support of the murder of Tinslee Lewis.  Other faux "pro-life" organizations supporting the hospital's intent to murder are the Texas Alliance for Life and the Texans for Life Coalition.  On the other hand, standing by the beleagured family are Texas Right to Life, National Right to Life and Concerned Women for America.

The members of the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops, at least those who are responsible for issuing that amicus brief, bear great moral culpability for the child's murder (if she isn't saved).  As bishops, they should be well aware of the dangers of cooperating with mortal sin.  That link I just posted deals with such cooperation from the standpoint of Catholic moral theology.  Towards the middle of that page, notice the nine ways listed by which a person (or organization) can commit with evil.  Notice the words "counsel" and "approval".  Both of them are clearly present in the action of filing that amicus.  Also notice that this cooperation is formal; one cannot get much more formal than a court document.  We also conclude that this cooperation is proximate and material, owing to the moral weight that the TCCB lends to this murderous enterprise.

Here is the website for the TCCB.  Contact them and remind them that as they laud the impending murder of this child, they increase their chances for eternal damnation.

Regarding Fuller's Suicide, The Clergy Knew Beforehand

Father Dupont knew of Fuller's diabolical plans at that Mass.  Dupont is not the pastor of St Therese in Seattle; rather, he is a priest who regularly assists with Masses and who frequently said Masses at which Fuller attended.  He gave Fuller a "blessing" and even embroiled First Communicant children in his stunt, giving scandal to them.  Now what was it that Jesus said about those giving scandal to little ones?  Oh, yes!

Regarding Fuller's funeral, Seattle Archbishop Sartain gave approval for a Church funeral, in direct contradiction to Canon law.  In recent years, funerals have been granted to suicides, assuming that they were not in their right minds when they committed the act.  However, Fuller's suicide was methodically planned.  He had a party to celebrate his planned sin and even compounded that sin with the celebration of his sodomite relationship by "marrying" his accomplice in sodomy just before his suicide.  I link now to a Church Militant article where two bishops are cited as stating that unrepentant homosexuals cannot be given Church funeral rites.

So here we have two clerics, one a bishop, cooperating with several mortal sins committed by Fuller this past May.  They have cheapened God's laws and the value of human life.  We pray for their own repentance.

Mount St Mary's Careens Towards Decadance

Last month we had to picket the commencement at Mount St. Mary's owing to the fawning that they heaped upon pro-abortion Mark Shriver.  They have had other problems.  Now, via their alumni magazine, they are formally cooperating with the mortal sin of sodomy as committed by two of their graduates.

Two Mount graduates, currently engaging in perversion, are about to make a mockery of the Sacrament of Matrimony.  The Mount is assisting them in announcing their "engagement" just as they would the engagement of a man and woman.

The Church recognizes nine ways in which we can cooperate in sin, and thus partake in that sin.  That cooperation can either be remote or proximate, formal or informal.  I would think that printed praise of sodomy in their official publication is both formal and proximate cooperation in mortal sin on the part of Mount officials who instigated and allowed that praise.  They most likely share in the guilt of the sins of sodomy and sacrilege committed by those two alumni.

The LifeSiteNews article has embedded therein a letter of protest from an alumna of the Mount.  She spoke out against the sin, exercising the Spiritual Work of Mercy known as "rebuking the sinner".  Now the question remains, "what will you and I do about it?" We do not have the moral option to just shrug our shoulders and ignore the matter.

Was Alfie Deliberately Poisoned To Death?

Both LifeSiteNews and Church Militant provide reports that on Alfie Evan's last night of life, that his father was called from his bedside for a "meeting".  During the time he was away, a nurse gave Alfie injections of four different drugs.  Just before those injections, the oxygen saturation level in his blood was a very healthy 98%.  Within two hours after the injections, that level plummeted to 15% and he was dead.

I'll spell it out.  I believe that Alfie was given a lethal mix of drugs in order to bring about a quick death.  We call that a deliberate act of murder.  Let us pray that an independent autopsy of Alfie can be done, for we can be very certain that Alfie is not the only victim of such murderous tactics - and they probably happen on "both sides of the pond".

Meanwhile Cardinal Vincent Nichols and other British bishops have reemphasized their support of the murderous hospital.  Someone on another site called Alder Hey "Auschwitz Hey".  That will be my new name for that 21st century death camp.  It is on the Church Militant site.  I won't post that here for I believe it necessary to post a video detailing the nine ways in which one can be guilty in cooperating with sin - and that is precisely what Nichols and his fellow prelates are doing.  Those who cooperate with a mortal sin are themselves guilty of mortal sin.  Accordingly, they place their souls in grave danger of damnation.  As you watch the video, consider #5 and #8.  I'll also link to a more comprehensive treatment by Father Ripperger.  It would seem that the bishops, and much of the British government, share guilt in Alfie's murder.  How many Americans share guilt in the murder/abortions of babies?

Support Of Illegal Immigration Is Inherently Sinful

If a parent steals something and gives it to his/her child, is the child penalized when he/she is compelled to return the stolen goods or make other reparation?  Common sense - and Catholic moral theology answer "no", for the child should never have come into the possession of the goods in the first place.  Let's add another dimension.  Say the child receives the contraband as a minor, then becomes aware of the theft when he reaches the age of majority.  Is he/she required to make restitution?  Again, the answer is yes, for he/she may not knowingly accept benefit from the commission of sin.  Should they do so, they themselves become guilty of cooperation with the sin of their parents.  I link now to a post that I created several months ago; therein is a video that explains the nine ways in which a person can become an accessory to the sin of another, thus incurring guilt for his own sin.  Bear all this in mind as you read the account below.

We all know that President Trump has decided to undo the patently unconstitutional stunt initiated by the Messiah Most Miserable known as DACA (Deferred Action for Child Arrivals).   Compare the screed spewed from the USCCB to the statements issued by both the White House and the Department of Homeland Security.  While those impacted are children of illegal immigrants, it is important to note that they are now adults as opposed to non-emancipated minors.  They are now responsible for their own lives.  If they haven't taken measures to correct their own immigration status, they have no one to blame for the consequences but themselves.

I became aware of this account of a "dreamer priest", Father Rey Pineda, through a facebook friend of mine.  As I read this account, I detected no trace of him trying to rectify his status.  He went to school in Georgia and then discerned a vocation; "he felt God was calling him to be a priest but his spiritual path was blocked.  He was a dreamer".  Excuse me, but isn't part of priestly preparation to remove moral impediments from one's life?  He knew he was here in disobedience to legitimate national laws: laws that have basis in Section 2241 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  Now recall the video that I mentioned in the first paragraph, and count the ways that Father Pineda actively cooperates with the sin that his parents committed:

• Consent - That is evident in the absence of any steps to correct his status.
• Defense of evil done  No where does he express regret for the flouting of U.S. law.
• Partaking as a "dreamer".  If his seminary formation was facilitated by the dream act, then his priestly formation would be an ironic act of cooperating with sin.  I hope that's not the case

Other ways that he might be cooperating with the sin of evading US immigration laws would be counsel, provocation, praise.  We cannot say "silence" is a chosen means of such cooperation, for he is quite strident in his crowing about his sin.

So his deportation would be a loss to his flock?  Really?  Who would really seek him out in the confessional, knowing he doesn't give a whit about legitimate civic law?  We Catholics are called to obedience to such laws and not only when convenient.  The sacrament itself would be efficacious since it doesn't depend on the worthiness of the minister, but his counsel might be suspect.

One troubling aspect about the hierarchy's embrace of progressive positions is that church authorities too often strike hands with politicians who foment the Culture of Death.  Father Pineda did precisely that by his partnering rabidly pro-abortion Dick Durbin.  Thanks to Pineda's own celebration of his sin, he lent to Durbin a credibility that the latter simply doesn't deserve.  By the way - this is the same Dick Durbin who questioned the Catholic faith of an Appeals Court Nominee.  Got that?  Durbin is very supportive of the Catholic faith of a potential puppet, but takes a dim view of the Catholic faith of a Trump nominee.  That's whom Pineda - this shill for illegal immigration - helped to legitimize.

Let's get back to DACA and illegal immigration in general.  If you haven't yet, please read the linked press releases of the USCCB, White House, and DHS.  If you noticed the USCCB waxing hysterical, you are quite correct.  I won't rehash it all, but the USCCB and Catholic Charities are funded by the feds.  Part of that funding has to do with the number of immigrants - including illegal - that they process.  The amount of funding is based on headcount!  Yes!  If the number of illegal immigrants in this country declines, so too does the amount of funding that the Church hierarchy receives.  Maybe the USCCB's overly-vaunted concern for "the strangers we must welcome" is not completely altruistic.

DACA as promulgated by Obama was patently unconstitutional.  Congress needs to act on this matter, and act first and foremost for the citizens whom they represent - who voted for them and who pay their salaries.

Wuerl To Seminarians: Subjective Judgment Usurps Objective Truth

On Tuesday I reported how Cardinal Wuerl sent a letter to priests basically telling them to be derelict in their duties to lead those in mortal sin to repentance.  Yesterday Church Militant picked up on another article in the Catholic Standard that reported how Wuerl gave the same message to seminarians in the archdiocese.  I think in that address he went a step further in counseling for evil.  I quote: "Pastoral dialogue [involves] the development of conscience and also the expression of a level of support or confirmation for the judgment the individual is making about the state of his or her own soul."

Notice the part about "support or confirmation for the judgment.."  Well, what if that judgment is objectively wrong?  What if that judgment leads to the commission of mortal sin?  How can a priest - or any faithful Catholic - support a "judgment" like that?   He can't.  He must warn the individual of the sinfulness of his/her course of action and in no unambiguous terms call that person to repentance.  If the priest refuses to do so, he endangers his own soul owing to his de facto cooperation with the sin of that individual.

Below I post a video detailing the nine ways that Catholics can veer into cooperating with the sin of others.  Pay close attention to "number nine", for that is primrose path to hell down which Cardinal Wuerl would usher his priests and seminarians.  In doing so, he too seems to be cooperating with mortal sin via "counsel".

Wednesday I posted about the thinly-disguised war that Pope Francis seems to be waging on truth.  That is pretty serious considering that Jesus Himself said that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Truth is immutable.  It is NOT subject to manipulation by human consciences.  Rather, it is the human conscience that must conform and be subject to truth.  But, if the proper role of truth is trivialized, then we can see how subjective "judgments" can be regarded as idols.

Pray for our pope and bishops that they come to their senses.  Pray for our seminarians and help them become inoculated to the mental and spiritual poison being fed to them in their formative years.

Catholic-Owned Construction Company Is Building Planned Parenthood's New Facility In Washington DC

Yes, you read that correctly!

Many of you knew that Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan DC Inc was planning to move its main location to 1225 Fourth Street NE,   A month or so ago, it closed its old 16th Street location although the new facility isn't ready for use yet.  So who is getting this new facility in NE ready so that Planned Parenthood of DC can get its baby-murder business back to "full-throttle"?

That would be Pizzano Contractors, Inc, headquartered in Alexandria, VA.  It is they who are currently constructing the murder den.  It touts itself as a "family business".  The owner/ceo is Robert Pizzano, Jr.  Yes, Pizzano is a Catholic.  Until very recently, the "partial client list" included the Diocese of Arlington.  After the diocese became aware of Pizzano's involvement with Planned Parenthood, they withdrew permission for their name to be used; for that they are to be commended.  I trust that any tentative work that the diocese may have had with Pizzano's has been cancelled.

Also note that Pizzano was, again until very recently, a member of the Board of Governors for Bishop O'Connell High School.  See the picture just above.  His name no longer appears; the administration of O'Connell is to be commended for taking that corrective action.  The picture above does identify Pizzano's parish as being Our Lady of Good Counsel in Vienna VA.  Perhaps the parish priests and other parishioners may wish to prod their fellow Catholic to break off this dalliance with baby-killers.  There might be a question as to whether or not he should present himself for Holy Communion.  He knew all along that it was Planned Parenthood with whom he was about to strike a deal.  He is building their facility in which babies will be murdered.  If that doesn't constitute "formal and material cooperation with mortal sin", what does?

Below I'll post a video showing pro-life activists protesting at the Pizzano headquarters in Alexandria.  You'll also see Pizzano himself being confronted with his sin as he is also invited to repent and make amends.  Because he is far from the camera, his face isn't clearly seen; here's his picture on the Pizzano site.

From the Pizzano site, please take note of the phone numbers and email addresses.  Contact Pizzano and ask him to get out of the contract, to not facilitate baby-murder and not to endanger his own immortal soul.

Are We Cooperating With Mortal Sin?

At the bottom of my previous post, I included a video to display common reactions of many good people who may not themselves be embroiled in the mortal sin of homosexual conduct.  I don't believe I did justice to the subject matter of that video and will now try to rectify that problem.

Owing to the lousy catechesis that many of us (myself included) received as a result of the misapplications of Vatican II, we can be ignorant of the ramifications of cooperating with sin.  Often enough, such cooperation is its own mortal sin.

There are those Catholics who, while appreciating the pain that homosexuals feel, erroneously try to alleviate it by deluding themselves (and their friends) into believing that homosexuality is not an intrinsic disorder but something to be acted upon.  They condone the conduct, not accepting that they will compound the misery - most especially the misery of hell - of their friends.

There are some Catholics who outright facilitate and applaud homosexual conduct.  We saw that on Friday, when "katholyc" Anthony Kennedy wrote the majority opinion to Obergefell v Hodges and was joined by fellow "katholyc" Sonia Sotomayor.  Obviously these two, by their significant actions, have jeopardized their souls.  Thousands, though, join them.

The video lists nine ways in which cooperation with sin often happens.  Pay particular attention to # 5  (defense of evil done) and # 8 (praise).  Many progressive katholycs engage in these with regards to their shilling for "gay rights" (think New Ways Ministry).  Other Catholics, though, - including faithful Catholics - plunge head-on into # 9 (silence).  How long will you remain stuck in that?

Reactions To Obergefell V Hodges

Numerous entities have reacted and posted their statements in regards to the Court's disgraceful obeisance to sodomite perversion, calling it "marriage".  I'll comment on a smattering of them.  First, I'll link to the official text of the opinion.  Please notice something on page 3 of the opinion written by "katholyc" Anthony Kennedy.  He cites "four principles" to support sodomite "marriage", each accompanied by a prior decision as precedent.  One "principle" is buttressed by Griswold v Connecticut.  It should sound familiar to all Catholics who've been fighting these culture wars.  This is the 1965 decision that paved the way for married couples in the U.S. to utilize contraception.  Prior to that, US society recognized the deadly consequences of contraception.  This case also provided support for the horrid Roe v Wade  decision.  But now let's get back to the reactions to Obergefell v Hodges.

We'll start with the Archdiocese of Washington.  Recalling the archdiocese's disgraceful treatment of Father Marcel Guarnizo when the latter upheld Christ's teachings with regard to blatant mortal sin and Holy Communion, it's no surprise that they produced this milquetoast drivel.  Regarding sodomy, the diocese says, "while this is not the Church's understanding of marriage, it is a definition confirmed by the Court".  First, what the Church embraces is not mere "understanding" but the eternal, immutable truths taught by the One True God since the beginning of human existence.  Moreover, the Court confirmed nothing.  It merely joined in the gay-nazis' pretense and is cramming their collective sin down the throats of the entire nation.  The statement concludes with a (cough!) firm, decisive promise to deal as courageous Catholics with the conflicts that will arise. Just kidding!  No such luck!  They'll "evaluate..on a case-by-case basis" how they'll deal with such matters.

Fortunately not all US dioceses are manned by equivocating wimps.  Bishop Michael Jarrell of the Diocese of Lafeyette (Louisiana) condemned the court's attempt to usurp God's prerogatives regarding marriage.  He instructed Catholics in government roles to engage in civil disobedience if they were required to facilitate sodomy.  He also forbade his clergy from engaging in marriage mockery and forbade the usage of Catholic property for usage of the same.  Moreover, he instructed Catholics not to attend such bastardizations of marriage.

Local governments have also taken action.  Several counties in Alabama have opted to cease the issuance of marriage licenses in the wake of this ruling.  The state of Mississippi may follow suit.  Texas Governor Greg Abbott has directed his agencies to protect the religious freedoms of Texans, effectively shutting down state-recognized sodomy in his state.  Expect more to follow.

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, in the wake of yesterday's ruling, stated that there should be "impeachment" of at least the five justices who ruled for sodomy.  Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, in his dissenting opnion (see link in first paragraph, scroll to page 69), indicates that he might be inclined to agree.

Now, dear readers, what will your reaction be?  We cannot shrug this off, for now our nation has been further shoved down into an abyss of immorality and barbarism.  We have a responsibility to speak out, no matter the costs.  If we remain silent, we risk being in cooperation with sin.
